Went there to celebrate birthday. Food and drinks were good. They had mostly fam to table concept for their entire menu. Service was efficient. The place is cozy but comfortable.

The menu changes every two weeks, and the ingredients are very fresh, all selected seasonally. Even at 9 pm, the restaurant was still packed - incredibly popular! And they don't accept tips, which is very wallet-friendly, haha! The appetizers included a unique sous-vide egg - a perfect combination of soft-boiled egg, cheese and corn sauce, Italian pork lard crisps, and sour dough - an absolute flavor explosion! The texture and taste were incredibly rich. The confit salmon had a texture between raw and medium-rare, not dry at all, but not as raw as sashimi. The dry-aged steak was absolutely incredibly tender and juicy! Every bite was bursting with the aroma of the marbling.

The service was exceptional! The staff was very helpful and always attentive. Ambiance was a little loud, depends on who you sit beside I suppose but it was hard to hear my partner across the table until the table next to us left. For the food, I got the station burger, the beef tartare, and the chorizo spaghetti. The beef tartare had rave reviews online, but I found it to be good but not great. The chorizo spaghetti was a bit disappointing, nothing about it really popped out, including the chorizo. The station burger however was insanely good. The patty can be medium rare or well done, and comes with a delicious aioli. If I came here again, I'd basically just get the burger and I'd walk out very satisfied.

Awesome burger, along with some delicious fries to go along with it. The desert was amazing, along with the free fudge. Service and restaurant feel was amazing, and it was very clean.

I came here at the recommendation of a friend for my birthday, and it delivered perfectly. You can tell they put a lot of thought into everything - food, service and decor. You can definitely tell it's meant for a nicer night out as the servers are very kinda and attentive, explaining each dish thoroughly and even grabbing coat check for you. Food-wise I found everything a lot of fun! There were a lot of familiar flavours but executed in different ways that made it exciting to eat. I can really tell that each dish required a lot of thought and execution even though I'm not so well versed in cooking myself. I got the duck, and everything in the dish worked extremely well together. It also reminded me of Asian BBQ duck which was a pleasant surprise. I also really enjoyed the beef tartare. The meat was great quality, and something about the potatoes on top were just addictive... better than the potatoes we had with the main. They do have seasonal dishes as well and are constantly rotating the menu, so I would love to come again! Overall a solid experience and a great pick for any special occasion.

I am back once again with a new review. I'm so happy everytime I come back here. To start, the food is always delicious, the chefs always do their best to accommodate without compromising quality, and you can really tell that they care about the quality that gets served. This time they updated the menu with heavier fare for the winter and since my last visit 3 years ago, I let them know that i developed a gluten intolerance in top of my pork and dairy intolerance. Servers were well versed and so friendly and made sure i was pleased with my dinner service. Now onto the food. Because of my intolerances they took liberties to adjust what was on the menu (I always order the chefs tasting menu) and replaced a few items (in my case, gave me 2 off menu items and an additional sweet fudge treat to send me off!) . Please note everything was gluten and dairy and pork free. Amuse bouche was something from their specials - salmon tartar on shiso, but was not on the chefs menu. Creamy but very light. Beef tartar with crispy potato. Surprisingly flavour packed - don't be fooled by the size. My favourite was the carrots - surprisingly delightful - I had a ratatouille moment with the ingredients. By themselves it's unassuming but when you pair them together it's an explosion - nay, a symphony!- for your tastebuds. Seafood rice tastes exactly like a congee - quite delicious but I missed out on the chili butter spice due to the dairy intolerance. I imagine it would've been completely perfect, however I loved it this way also because its exactly like how I would make jt and was so comforting. Creamy without the cream, scallops were scalloping... the only thing I didn't care for was the cilantro because unfortunately i have the gene that makes things taste like soap but I ate it anyway. (Not a great look for someone already intolerant to so many things). Next was a surprise off menu item of the chicken. This was the solid favourite right next to the carrots. Fuckin delicious. Perfect balance of spice, salt, fat, and acid. And the plating was beautiful! And definitely outshined the man beef dish. Stole the show even. The beef dish was surprisingly mayo forward. But everything was cooked perfectly. My favourite part of this was actually the gluten free bread because I have been craving it all week and I don't know how they did it but it was so soft and moist on the inside but crunchy on the outside. The last desserts were vegan. By that point I was so full I can't even remember enjoying it but what stood out to me the most was the vegan bar. It had 3 layers: chocolate crumb base, coconut cream base, and a layer that sort of tasted like firm tofu. And it was topped with a sweet lemon touille. The chocolate fudge and vegan chocolate icecream. Chocolate isn't my favourite flavour and i was low key hoping for sage and sweet potato because it sounds like such a unique flavour combo.. but I enjoyed it with the sea salt as it helps cut the chocolate sweetness. I understand why they couldn't serve it. But now I have ideas on how to try making it at home. Very happy with the service here. I'll continue to share this joy and this restaurant with my peers.

Hidden away in downtown Toronto, this upscale French restaurant is a true gem. What's special is that it doesn't charge a service fee. Every dish is surprisingly delicious. The restaurant has a lively and charming atmosphere that's hard to leave behind ‍ One dish in particular that stands out is the foie gras. Golden, crispy toast topped with sweet and tangy maple syrup is incredibly appetizing. Another must-try is their signature dish--double portion of musk duck. Three slices of tender, juicy duck with crispy, delicious skin. Three slices of duck are really too little.

Visited here for work with a client for another shot at their lunch menu - and this time it was a hit! There's a reason this restaurant is considered a Toronto institution after all. Among everyone we ordered almost everything off the menu and the food was delicious with no exceptions - actually, the person who had the rabbit "just to try it" wasn't too sure about the dish after all...that one should be left to an adventurous soul. I was however just slightly disappointed with the dessert I selected - the earl grey rhubarb trifle - which sounded very fancy on paper but did not end up delivering as much to the palate. Next time, I'll stick with the traditional offerings. Service was excellent as always, with staff that were consistently friendly, attentive, and accommodating - they do everything they can to make you comfortable and welcomed. The space was a little cramped (relative to other upscale restaurants in the area), but it wasn't a problem having conversations or being heard. I noticed on their website that they now offer a two-course fixed price lunch for $49 (add $10 for any dessert), which is so reasonable I would even come back without work as an excuse!

Very nice spot! A service included restaurant is unique in Toronto. Food was great, and was presented nicely. The staff are knowledgeable in the menu, and everything on the plate is explained as it is presented.

Tasting menu with plenty of complimentary extras... the food journey was a very enjoyable ride of seafood, meats and savoury delights... amazing well informed service.. only improvements would be a bit more worldly and refined wine pairing option... overall a great experience.

Had a really nice experience here. The food was flavorful and well prepared, and everything came out fresh. I especially liked that the dishes felt satisfying without being too heavy. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and easy to enjoy. It's the kind of place that works well whether you're stopping by for a casual meal or meeting friends. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm in the area.

Richmond Station never misses. Every visit feels like a masterclass in thoughtful cooking and effortless hospitality. The menu strikes that perfect balance between refined and comforting--beautifully plated, but never precious. From impeccably cooked mains to desserts that quietly steal the show, each dish is layered, balanced, and clearly made with intention. Standouts across the table: bold flavours, clean execution, and sauces you want to chase with a spoon. The burger? Still one of the best in the city--juicy, rich, and worth the hype every single time. Desserts are elegant and restrained, letting quality ingredients do the heavy lifting. What really sets Richmond Station apart is consistency. You can feel the pride in the kitchen and the warmth in the service. This is Toronto dining done right--approachable, elevated, and deeply satisfying. A must-visit, and an easy return.

We went for the Six Course Chef's Tasting Menu as a family since I owed them a big favour recently. The menu probably changes with the seasons so I won't get into every detail, but what really stood out was how thoughtfully each course was prepared and how approachable the flavors were. Even someone not familiar with Western fine dining would find it enjoyable. My mom usually sticks with Asian cuisine, so I was a little nervous about how she would take it. Watching her finish every plate, even down to the last drop of sauce, honestly made me smile the whole evening. The service added to it too. The servers were warm and attentive, and when I saw her make the effort to express her gratitude to them directly, I knew we were in the right place. For a first experience with a tasting menu like this, Richmond Station feels like the perfect spot. It goes beyond just being "delicious" and becomes a shared memory. The dining room was full, but everyone seemed happy and relaxed, and that energy made the night feel even more special. Richmond Station is now where I'd start if I ever wanted to introduce someone new to this kind of dining.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!

It's also been a reliable spot to be able to book tables for large groups. However, they have poor problem resolution if there are any issues that arise. Their food is all pretty good and drinks are fairly priced. Their staff are what I would call elusive and very no frills--beyond your first order, they're a bit hard to flag down to order additional items, settle bills, or otherwise. We had an incident where my friend ordered an alcohol-free beer, but when received, they had a sip and suspected it had alcohol in it because it tasted like the regular alcoholic version. We asked the staff to confirm if the drink they poured was actually alcoholic beer on tap, or if it was an emptied can of the alcohol-free beer. The staff came back and apologized, saying it was the alcoholic beer and poured from the tap but the order placed was indeed the alcohol-free beer. My friend then requested to have the can for the alcohol-free beer instead of poured in a glass to be safe, because she was pregnant. The staff then realized the gravity of the issue and went to get the can, saying we can keep the other glass. A few minutes later, someone who I presume to be a manager came over to say she had clarified the situation again and that it was actually NOT the alcoholic beer--which at this point we weren't inclined to trust. The manager did not apologize, but instead said that a bit of alcohol is okay when you're pregnant... We didn't say anything or raise a fuss, just smiled awkwardly. We left not too long after, and we were charged for the mistaken beer as well. This experience put a bit of damper on going to this place, as it was a frequent spot we visited for decent happy hour specials. However it's evident that staff do not know how to handle special circumstances, nor do they seem to have high EQ. If you are a person with no dietary needs, no wheelchair or crutches (because it's cramped as hell and the washrooms are located on the 2nd floor), not pregnant, and no allergies, then this place is probably fine. But if you have any of the above, then you should skip it in case of incident.

I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and listened to a podcast to wind down. It was exactly what I needed.
