    Seafood Linguine Pasta
    Nix P.

Service at this place was pretty good considering the busy peak hours. The food I ordered was decent, I had gotten the seafood linguine pasta as well as calamari as appetizer for the table which was delicious. I'd recommend this gastropub for a quick bite with friends or a business meet with drinks.

Great looking gastropub on the Danforth with a wide variety of drinks for those who enjoy a nice drink. We came here on a Monday night so it wasn't busy at all. Servers were pretty attentive too but as much as I would love to give 5 stars, there were some kitchen glitches. My girlfriend can't have any gluten so we ordered some gluten free calamari. As soon as our waiter brought it out, he noticed right away that it wasn't the gluten free option. Was great that he noticed it right away and also had it replaced right away. Next my girlfriend's order of Kale & Quinoa salad with steak came except it wasn't. The salad was incorrect but at least the steak and how it was prepped was. So he simply had the salad changed up. Our server was very apologetic and was nice so we weren't upset. The service was still very pleasant and we'd still come back. Just a little surprising to have these glitches considering it wasn't busy at all (we were 1 of maybe 3 or 4 other small parties). Gluten free options however, should be taken a little bit more serious. Thank you to our server (forgot his name) for immediately seeing this! Now let's get to the food review.... Gluten Free Calamari - Had the perfect texture and was lightly dusted with..something! Was a pretty generous portion that 3 of us were able to share it. This would taste great on one of their salads. 5/5. Smoked Chicken Wings - We ordered this with bbq sauce on the side and to be quite honest, you don't even need the sauce. The smoke was that flavourful and the wings were super crispy and juicy. Definitely one of the best smoked wings I've had. I'd go back just for this and have it as a main. 5/5. Arugula & Pear Salad - Definitely a must-try if you love arugula and goat cheese. I did notice however how much more spinach there was then arugula. Yes it's part of the plate but I personally would've preferred to have more arugula. Salad had some warm goat cheese which was so so good and creamy. The pear was a great part too and I usually don't care for any kind of fruit in my salad, regardless of how it's prepared. I think whether or not I can get more arugula, the salad was still very enjoyable that I would order it again. 5/5. Ribs - I had a wicked craving for ribs and I was thoroughly satisfied with their bbq smoked ribs which literally fell off the bone. I had some leftovers which I just had the other day and it tasted even better than that night. Definitely a must-have if you love meat. 5/5. Hand-Cut Fries - This came with our ribs and it was so good. I was so stuffed but couldn't help but keep on picking at the fries. Makes me want to try their poutine next time. 5/5.

It's funny when you encounter quality customer service, almost seems jarring! Staff was very kind, patient. Large selection of drink and food. The wings were from a smoker, big difference from fried. Jerk was the one I had. $16 for about 8 wings seems pricey, unless u have DEEPER pockets, in which case u won't mind. What stops it from repeat visits is; $31 (fair tip included) for one pint and wings=$$$$.

Good spot. Comfortable seating. Good food and good service. Came here for Easter dinner with my fiances family. I had wine, the boar pizza and the carrot cheesecake. We shared the calamari and shrimp and charcuterie to start. Calamari was awesome. Would 100% get again. My pizza was okay, I would order something else next time. Carrot cheesecake was so good we ordered a second and asked what bakery they got it from! The ribs and chicken looked amazing. I would probably opt for those next time. Overall, not my new favorite but definitely a good spot to come eat!!

SO glad I was in the area and got the chance to finally check out Local 1794! We stopped in for dinner on Thursday night and were surprised by how busy it was! Luckily, it didn't take long to get seated and put our orders in. I decided on the Wood-Fired Fungi pizza. Creamy sauce, Portobello, Cremini, Shiitake, Truffle oil and Fior di Latte. It was delicious! Lots of mushrooms, good garlicky flavour, nice chewy crust and the truffle oil made the mushrooms taste richer and meatier. A dash of hot oil and this pizza sang! I wasn't sure if the pizza would be big enough for two hungry people to share, so I also ordered a side of hand-cut fries. They were excellent! As you c an see from the photo I posted, the fries were golden-y brown, crisp on the outside and soft in the inside... just the way I like them! I would have loved them in a poutine but sadly Local 1794's gravy is beef-based. I am hoping Management will see this review and consider offering a mushroom-based option!!! All in all, we left very full and very happy and we'll will be back!

I have been twice now for brunch. I love it.. It has a cool old school vib with a ton of old pics of Toronto all over the walls. I can't compare other eggs benedict because this was my first but I have gotten it twice and I love it. It is served on pulled pork so ya, really freaking good. They also have a great Drink called the Capone, It is kind of an old-fashioned twist with a Ginger beer kind of twist. I always look forward to coming here either for brunch or just a couple of drinks. Did I mention they have a great selection of local craft beers? Check it out. I am sure you will love it.

4/5??? Are you kidding me? The grilled Caesar alone pushes this place past that! Great servers... very nice decor and soundtrack... and great food! Warm. Friendly. I'm a single late 50s guy that loves a good Caesar and I walk past a BUNCH of places to go here once every couple weeks.

Classic steak frites and two poach eggs. Super yummy with passion fruit mojito. Five stars service. Totally recommended.

Delicious food and cocktails are absolutely recommended to try. I will come back again since I live close by and passed by millions times.

Local where food and joy goes to die. The restaurants on the danforth have been amazing very sad to say this was a total disappointment. The waitress was rude and in a bad mood towards us as if we were bothering her. She rushed us to order and to pay at the end. I saw cockroaches walking near the bar, my cutlery we're all DIRTY. The food tasted bland, dry and no seasoning mind you I had the burger. When we were leaving on there window they had a CONDITIONAL PASS. no wonder why! Please stay away from this place.

The hotel lobby was nicely decorated for the holiday season, with a Christmas tree, large "Happy Holidays" sign, and other festive decorations. The ambiance inside the restaurant, just like the rest of the hotel, was classy. Service was good. There was an option to do coat check at the front. Reservation is highly recommended, especially on weekends, as they tend to get very busy. Underground parking is available at the RBC building next door, or at the hotel. Food was really good, and in decent portion sizes. The sides were bigger than we thought, so we took away some leftovers. 1) PEI Mussels Pot (mussels with bell pepper & red onion vinaigrette), served with grilled sourdough bread - The bell pepper and red onion vinaigrette was delicious and on point. I liked that the pot had enough but not too much broth - enough to dip the bread in, but didn't fully cover all the mussels (making the mussels retain some of their original flavour). 2) Miso Black Cod (black cod with sake, miso, crispy lotus roots, sesame seeds, pea shoots) - One of my favourite dishes of the night. The cod was delicate and seasoned perfectly with the sake and miso. The crispy lotus roots added a nice crunch. 3) Mushrooms Bowl (jasmine rice, miso mixed mushrooms, roasted squash, crispy Brussels sprouts, cherry tomatoes, chilli threads, garlic crisps, basil) - Great vegetarian dish. There was a LOT of rice in the bowl, and the rice was flavourful with the miso sauce. The mixed mushrooms were 10/10. I also liked the balance of cooked and raw vegetables in this bowl, giving a touch of freshness. For each main, we got to choose 1 side. We opted to add extra veggie sides. Brussels Sprouts were also available as appetizer, which came in a large bowl (bigger portion size compared to the side). We were able to get it without the bacon, and the vinaigrette sauce on the side. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and flavourful, even without the vinaigrette add-on. The Grilled Vegetables side consisted of broccolini, zucchini, red and yellow peppers. Roasted Squash was lightly topped with a bit of chopped parsley. All of the sides that we got were excellent. After dinner, we headed out to the patio / terrace for the Christmas holiday market. There was a separate holiday market-special menu, with some light bites and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). It was a small market, but decorated very nicely with all the lights, fire pits, and the iconic Ritz-Carlton vintage green car. It had 100% cozy Christmas holiday vibes, with great photo ops. Even though it was technically outside, the fire pits made the market area feel quite warm.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!
