Happy hour at Milestones is a great place to fuel your hunger. The happy hour menu is available daily between 3pm-6pm and 9pm-close. The dining roon was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The patio was open for diners who want to bask in the sunshine. There are lots of drink specials, half price bottle of wine, bucket of 4 Corona for $25 to name a few. We settled on the basa fish tacos and chili lime chicken tacos. Both were loaded with fresh toppings notably the chunks of avocado, cabbage, chili avocado aioli. They were messy but couldn't help myself licking my fingers. The fish was a bit small but for $6 in this economy who's complaining? The chili lime chicken taco was also a standout as well. The parmesan fries were covered in salty bits of parmesan and the garlic aioli dipping sauce was just divine. The service was friendly and professional. Miguel checked on us to make sure the food was good. The food runners were nice too. Overall, we enjoyed our happy hour dining experience and I am surprised the ratings are so low here. Trust me give Milestones a try and I love their diverse menu and they even have a halal menu as well. Located right across STC and serves a mix of different food including tacos, pasta, burgers and steak. Walked in here on a Saturday night and wanted to sit in the patio but they didn't have a server allocated to the patio that night so we had to sit inside. They have happy hour from 9pm every day so we wanted to take advantage of that and ordered the blackened chicken alfredo, fish and chicken tacos and the steak frites. In the blackened chicken alfredo the chicken was very overcooked almost to a point it seemed burnt so it was really hard to chew. The pasta itself was fine though. I've been to Milestones twice now and keep coming back for the vibe and food. The Good: The Bellinis hit the SPOT - seriously delicious. The Gyoza was so good I literally did a happy dance at the table. The atmosphere is consistently great, and they play good music. Service Notes: Had two servers during our visit. The first was nice and had excellent music taste, but once we mentioned we were waiting for someone before ordering, she never came back. Our second server picked up the slack beautifully though - he was attentive, quick, and genuinely helpful. The Food: Gyoza: Amazing. No notes. Bellinis: Delightful. Steak frites: Good! We celebrated my Mom's 'milestone' birthday and were blown away by the excellent service provided to us by Harvey S. He is very professional, efficient and attentive to your needs. The food and drinks were also phenomenal and simply delish. From the moment I made a reservation, the staff were super helpful and basically all restaurant staff here were super nice and friendly. Which makes us wonder since we've been to other Milestones and service/food is totally different compared to the other locations. The Scarborough location is so much way better in terms of service offered and quality of food. We ordered various food and drinks on the menu and they were well presented, portions were just right and tasted so good. I would say my favourite (and the one I always order) would be the Peach Bellini and the Portobello Mushroom Chicken Spaghettini. The Bellini is fizzy and refreshing and probably the best Bellini in Toronto. Portobello mushrooms and tender chunks of chicken simmered in a rich and creamy white sauce is one dish here not to missed and you will surely enjoy! The restaurant is a free-standing building next to Scarborough Town Centre, with plenty of parking spots, which I appreciated. Inside, it was spacious with ample seating. Here's what I ordered: 1989 Burger: The burger was just alright. It came with a choice of fries or a Caesar salad, and I got the salad. The patty was thick but ultimately disappointing. It was cooked well-done and had some juice, but not enough to compensate for its hard texture and lack of standout flavour. The other toppings, like bacon, cheese, and the soft sesame bun, were fine. The healthy amount of veggies and sauce, combined with the patty's fat, made the burger messy and difficult to eat. Definitely not first-date food. The Caesar salad, on the other hand, had a good amount of cheese and dressing, though the veggies could have been a bit fresher. Thanks to happy hour, I got the burger at a discount, which made the meal very affordable. The overall ambiance was great. I came here for a group lunch and reserved ahead of time for our group of 8. We were able to be shown to our table within a short amount of time and the waitress was very accomodating to our group. The food was just standard - nothing special. They didn't have the bellini that day so I opted for a red wine sangria. It was the sweetest red wine sangria I've ever had and tasted more like juice than anything (I quite like juice though so I was fine with it). What you get from premium food and drink prices are a premium service and dining experience. We ordered the Portobello Mushroom Chicken and the seasonal Milestone creation of Confit Duck Mafaldine ($26), as well Original Bellini ($8 for 2oz) and Mile High Bellini ($9 for 2oz). Both dishes came out finely plated and presented. The duck confit may be just a little too salty, but was nonetheless extremely exquisite. I have no complaints with the drinks. They came as they are and as to be expected. Service is also top notch as it should be. Not an extended anount of time will pass before an attendant will check up on us to ask if we needed anything or if everything was alright. If I had to call out something it may just be the minor gripe that we were disappointed that they are not included anymore in the list of places where you can redeem credit from the Ultimate Dining Card. Milestones didn't go the extra mile, not even close. Overpriced for what they offer (or don't). Visited this place on Dec 19, 2024 at 1:30pm. 20% automatic tip was added just for the privilege of having reservations with a large group. Got stuck next to the bar. The high narrow table and chairs near the window were too crammed but can't be too picky since it was busy. Expected better service and bigger portions. As another reviewer mentioned, the music is too loud but perhaps it drowns out all the background noise such as the traffic outside or patrons talking. The Christmas crackers were a nice touch though. More or less an average place. Having dined in many restaurants, burgers used to cost around $6.99 to $9.99 plus tax about 20 years ago. The 1989 burger is still way overpriced at $23. It also appears to have increased by at least 30% from a 2020 menu I was looking at. Menu selection wasn't that great for someone like me. $10 soup is perhaps the lowest priced option. They are trying to push higher priced items. Wait time wasn't too bad after ordering. The 1989 burger was very tiny since it barely takes 10 min to devour. The burger should be the star but it barely leaves a footprint on the plate. However, the beef patty was thick and juicy and cooked just right. With the toppings, it was delicious but the bun should have a wider diameter with more meat at that price. The fries were average but there was a descent portion. Some fast food restaurants reuse the oil, but these fries tasted good. Food was also at the right temperature. The size of the burger was the only thing that was off. At $23, it should include homemade ketchup or something. I had snacks before lunch so I felt fine. The service (or the lack of) was the main issue here since I mentioned the reservations and automatic 20% on top of the high prices. Usually restaurants have dedicated staff when you make reservations. Ours was a group of 11. I had a hard time communicating with our server Nikki, who might have had ADHD. I could barely finish a sentence or there were errors. I gave my food order but when she asked me what I wanted to drink, she abruptly turned to someone else at the table while I was still speaking to her. I interrupted but only managed to ask for a glass of water (I wanted one without ice). There were no paper napkins and no condiments on the table. If you're unfortunate enough to sit in the middle of that narrow table near the bar facing the windows, you basically get nothing. It's hard to catch a hold of someone since their staff seem to be rushing by so quickly and don't appear frequently enough. I couldn't get a hold of anyone to ask for anything but someone else at the table managed to ask for hot sauce. Our server did show up later when I was perhaps almost halfway finished and she only checked with the people at the end of the table since there was a drink missing, and then she zipped away again. There was nobody to refill any of the glasses. Their happy hour is at 3pm and it felt like everything was rushed to get us out of there. Our server Nikki tried to take away my plate before I was finished. She also showed up with the dessert menu a bit later. My bill had a (overpriced) $4 Coke that I never ordered but it was reprinted to reflect the correct amount. I paid by credit card but she crumpled up my receipt because she wasn't paying attention again. Overall, it wasn't such a bad experience since the food was descent. It's really the high prices that will mostly keep me from returning. Did I mention being forced to pay a 20% tip for the lack of service? That should be illegal. This used to be our go to place but it has gone downhill. It was better when Cara owned it but now that Foodtastic from Quebec bought it they cut corners. Not enough staff and\or cooks. Everything takes a long time to get and you barely see your server. Our servers messed up our drink\food\dessert order 3 times. There are better places around (Moxies, Jack Astors, Scaddabush) Sometimes when we've went there is no hostess so you have to flag down someone to seat you. Have a full-time hostess. Unfortunately a friend wasnt feeling well, and i was able to modify my reservation about 1 hour before the reserved time. We were shown our table within a short amount of time. All the staffs were super helpful, nice and friendly. The ambiance was great, i always love it at Milestones. All the other restaurants in the area such as Jack Astors and Scaddabush were booked and it seemed like Milestones had some open tables heated lamps, spaced out seating - indoors and outdoors - so there were plentiful options. Service was great, drinks were good and even my meal was tasty! I don't frequent chain restaurants that much, but this one did not disappoint. This location is what I'm a fan of. I usually have had bad experiences at Milestones which has led me not to dine with them for over a year. Last night my husband and I decided to dine in. This is one of the two reasons they lost a star. The food: I ordered the chili chicken rice bowl and it was so good! My only complaint- I needed more crispy wontons! The crispy wontons with the chicken in that sweetly spiced sauce was heavenly! The rice was really good and the veggies were good as well. I ended up eating everything which is always a good sign! The fries were delicious but there wasn't much. The service is terrific! 3 waitress running the floor including patio. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant due to the food & flavour. One of the BEST Milestones locations. I came here late last night to grab a bite to eat. We were seated right away at this nice and spacious booth in the lounge. Sarah D. was our server for the night, and she's hands down the best server. Polite, friendly and she checked up on us multiple times throughout the night. I ordered: Roasted Mushroom Soup - $9.50 This is and always will be my favourite mushroom soup, and the portion is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend this appetizer. Rustic Chicken Club Sandwich - $18.00 This sandwich was also very good, I substituted my fries for caesar salad instead, everything tasted fresh. I frequent this Milestones quite a lot, and I think the food here is quite good if you order the right thing. On this occasion, I was here to sample their new seasonal menu because it had several "Top Chef Canada Winning Dish" inspired items. The key word here is "inspired", because I can't imagine the contestants winning the challenge if they really served what we ate. One of my favourites here is the calamari steak strips. You can really taste the calamari and the spicy sausage ragu and lemon aioli are great to dip in. As for the top chef dishes, the pork croquette was very underwhelming, because it just tasted like fried meatball. The presentation also wasn't great because the onion rings were so different in sizes. To be fair, the croquettes themselves were decently tasty, but that spicy chili pepper aioli was completely bland and indistinguishable from the aioli served with the calamari. I was very disappointed by this dish. The winning main dish- roasted sablefish with seaweed gnocchi was also not very good. The gnocchi had a strange texture and the broth was just weird! For dessert, Milestones' break-up tub caught my eye - an individual sized tub of premium vanilla cookie dough ice cream, house-made caramel and crumbled chunks of baked double chocolate cookie. It was a very cute dessert and I liked it quite a lot. After this meal, I decided that I'll try to stick to Milestones' regular menu, for I never had anything that satisfied me from their seasonal menus. read more

This Milestones is located not far from STC and the subway, so if you are looking for non-food court grub this is a convenient option. My experience at this chain restaurant was very pleasant. Our server was accommodating and kind, seating us by the washrooms (pregnant friend's request) and making sure we had plenty of hot water (my request). I had the Cantina Fish Tacos Duo with a side ceaser salad. The two tacos were a good size and fully stuffed, eating it was a little messy but worth it. The Roasted Garlic Caesar Salad made a good side over fries. We lingered afterwards to chat and our server never rushed us to leave, only bringing us more water when we were running low.
