I haven't had Milestones in so many years and recently decided to visit again. I am so glad that they've now got a halal menu as well (separate from the main menu) with a wide selection of items. Service was excellent. I think we were served by Jason, who was very professional and made the dining experience better. He even recommended some dishes to try, since we weren't sure what to get. Food didn't take too long to come. Portion was quite generous and good to share. We got the sweet chicken with coconut rice and the green curry. The dish itself was nicely presented and tasted great. I love the pairing with the coconut rice for the sweet chicken. Would I come back to try other items? Absolutely. Lots of parking available. Restaurant is big compared to what I remember. She checks in on us often, which was very appreciated. Calamari: 4.5/5. Super tender, though a little bland the mango sauce made up for it! Chicken lettuce wrap: 5/5. This was everyone's fav dish. The perfect combination of spicy, sweet and salty flavour in the chicken; the fresh lettuce add a really nice freshness! The portion was also quite generous. Mushroom soup: 2/5. Too salty, too much black pepper, not creamy enough Butternut squash ravioli: 4.5/5. Great sauce, great fillings, and great flavour overall. We came here on a Saturday to try their weekend brunch menu. Staff were very nice and welcoming and we were seated at a booth at no time (I prefer booths compared to high chairs). We ordered "Fish Tacos" from appetizers menu and "Southwestern Omelette" and "Seafood Eggs Benedict" from brunch menu. We also paired our lunch with "Dill Pickle Caesar" and "Ruby Red & Elderflower Mimosa". The service was excellent; fast snd friendly. Fish tacos were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Omelette and Benedict were both delicious and fresh. I love the combination of lobster and egg. To satisfy our sweet tooth, we ordered "OMG Carrot Cake" with coffee and latte. Came on a Monday. They have a happier hour special with discounted drinks and appetizers. Had the chicken bites, cauliflower bites, artichoke dip and 1989 burger with Belgian moon. Also tried the key lime pie. Sat by the bar area. It was quite sunny and you either have to fully close the blinds or keep it open. Blinds are a solid cloth, no in between. The appetizers were tasty. I really liked the artichoke and spinach dip, however, it didn't come with much nacho chips. The burger was tasty and was a full meal. It came with string fries which were crispy. The cauliflower bites looked like it was chicken bites, it was all right. I didn't try the chicken bites because I got full with the other food orders. Service was friendly. 3.5 Visited here on the first day of re-opening as part of COVID phase 2. I was a little apprehensive at first but seeing how many precautions they were taking put me at ease. The staff really take time to wipe everything down (tables, chairs, handles etc). All staff were wearing masks as well, and tables were distanced apart. It felt so nice to eat out and sit in the sun on a Friday evening after work for the first time in what felt like forever. The food at Milestones is nothing special, but it was prepared well and promptly. The plating was nice too, and the patio ambience was great. The fish tacos were nice, I especially liked the aioli served on top. And I ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri which was quite tangy, but nonetheless tasty. Here starts my long string of reviews since I haven't been reviewing much. I came here with my immediate family (a group of 12) for my grandparents anniversary. We called ahead but since it was a busy night they told us it'd be an hour wait. I came a bit early with my uncle just to reserve the table and we sat at the bar, watched some sports and had a few drinks. I haven't been to this milestones in a while. It gives the vibe of a classy sports bar. After being seated, we started with the asian chicken bites. Very good starter and definitely would recommend. It comes with a sweet and sour sauce and a hint of spice. We also got chips and spinach dip - it's okay, not as good as the chicken bites. For my meal I got the 1989 burger, well seasoned and tasty. The fries were pretty good too. Each meal was well portioned and there isn't much to complain about. The service the was great, we had a server that was very nice. Well really big portions of the meal that do justice to the price. On a Saturday afternoon barely any wait time - Call prior to arrival we had returned back a couple of times due to long hours of wait time. Absolutely loved the sweet chilli chicken bowl and the crispy brussel sprouts. Would I go again if someone bought again? Yes. Would I go if I had a date or wanted to impress? Likely not. It's a chain and a nice chain, but it didn't really do it for me. The hosts were friendly, but it just felt like a veneer. The waitress was phenomenal, so that made up for things. She was very attentive, very good and generally what you would want in a waitress. We had a wide variety of appetizers which seemed to me to be a couple steps above bar food. Nothing great, nothing terrible. I kind of liked the sweet yam fries the best. I had the surfside salad. I don't think I would get it again. A couple small chunks of salmon and a few shrimp of unknown origin in a bland salad. If you want healthy, this may be the thing for you. As a taste and meal, it just wasn't prepared very well and was about what you would consider average. Pro-tip: Parking is tough, so don't park where you might get towed. Hadn't been to Milestones since they first opened up shop, until one evening last week.. It was a weeknight and the restaurant wasn't busy. Five tables were occupied at most. When this place first opened years back, a stir-fry dish I really liked was on the menu but then the item was discontinued.. I had celebrated my birthday at another location one year.. More recently, ordered appetizers for the table to share and both dishes were very filling. We had the bruschetta (though the ciabatta bread was too thick according to one person) and the spinach and artichoke dip was very cheesy and scrumptious. But for some reason last week's dining experience just didn't go as what I usually expect it to be. I took my sister out for her 20th Birthday last Thursday evening. We were seated right away but no one came to greet and take our order until about 10 minutes after. If my sister didn't ask the hostess where our server was I'm pretty sure we would've been sitting there for longer. We both ordered the prime rib in medium-rare for our dinner. Approximately 5-10 minutes later our server returned and told us that the kitchen could not our prime rib cooked to medium rare and that they could do medium. We love our prime rib in medium rare so this was VERY disappointing. It's strange because we've ordered the exact same order from the same restaurant and medium rare was an option. Since we've been waiting for so long we decided to just settle with their medium prime rib. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. This was the "official" dinner for my wife's 50th birthday. We went her cause we wanted a little more upscale but not crazy expensive. Our waitress was bubbly & delightful, smiling & polite. The food....not great. I had the 3 part meal combo. Mine was the meatloaf sliders with Koby mustard & crispy onion strings which were hot & tasty. The combo was with Portobello Mushroom Chicken & veggies. Pasta & Chicken were very good but the veggies were cold. Dessert was a Ganache Torte w ice cream which was good. I was here with an acquaintance and have mixed feelings about it. The restaurant felt clean and modern. We were seated right away and the nice and friendly waitress showed up next. She was polite and trained to retain and use your name. So far, so good. The menu, however, was limited and it was difficult to find something nice and different in it. I always like to order something different and among the usual burgers and pasta it was hard to get excited about something. I had the beets and cheese salad and enjoyed it. The salad was adequate in size and although a tad pricey it would have been worse if I had added chicken for another $6. I felt the salad was fresh and healthy. Getting the bill was slower, although the courteous waitress had performed not one, but two quality checks smilingly. I was recently invited to have lunch here at this recently redone location for Milestones in Mississauga. Admitedly, my perception of milestones has always been a slightly more out of date version of say a Moxies or Joeys, but will a way bigger menu. Recently the top brass decided they needed to get into their buts in gear to compete as they were spiraling further and further out of touch. Across the board, Milestones has implemented a 180 and revamped the look of their restaurants one at a time, given their service staff new training and paired down their menu to serve only the BEST with some modifications and new additions. Now you experience the same amount of FOMO except over say 10 items instead of 60 (actual number of menu items not accurate). For my started I went for the new calamari dish, much lighter, crispier and served with a better dipping sauce than before. Yum. Followed up I had the Sirloin steak topped with shrimp and crab meat - it was to die for. Seriously, I recently learned that most chains are sent their steaks pre-seasoned and frozen) and I learned that Milestones is doing everything (including their steaks) made to order. For a sirloin it was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and was still quite juicy. Came here with two other people and we asked to be seated as soon as possible and wouldn't mind sitting at the bar if that meant faster service. We were seated at a high top table and asked to wait a moment while they cleaned it.... that took a good 10 minutes. All I wanted was a French onion soup and I wasn't feeling 100%. My friend ordered pasta and bf ordered a burger. My soup came out cold, I felt like they only heated the top of it for the cheese to melt as the actual soup inside was cold. I didn't need to let it cool at all to eat. When I told the waitress that she said it's not possible because it's baked in the oven. I had to take a spoonful to show her it was cold. Service was ok as the servers were friendly but slow and didn't come to check on us in very late in the game. The furniture needs to be changed as the chairs we were sitting had their cushions cut and were sinking in. We were their late so went in for dessert and hot drinks. I tried their dessert thing which had a bit of everything and there were some goodies and some not so goodies, I also had their latte and would not recommend it as they charge you premium for a not shitty cup with pretty much foam from the machine. I ordered the tomato sugo halibut which came on a bed of quinoa with tomato sauce, cream topping and green beans. It was $26 and was pretty good. The fish could have been a bit more moist but I still enjoyed it. I think the salads were in the price range of $16. The waitress was super friendly. This was my family's first trip to eat out in two years, and Milestone's was absolutely flawless. Our server, Anna, was phenomenal, dealing with my husband's picky preferences, and engaging with each of my kids (various ages). It was a fairly busy night and she was attentive with drinks and check ups, and accurate with our orders. She also took the time to explain all of the locations health and safety policies and procedures, which made me feel confident in our choice of restaurant. I have never been disappointed with the food at this location and tonight was no exception. My friends forced me to try this place and I did not regret it at all. AlI the food that I tried was good, from appetizers to dessert. We started off with garlic bread and I liked how it wasn't the traditional garlic bread. It was made into a square with cheese and a tomato topping and I loved the combination. We ordered Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Garlic Cheese Bread, Mediterranean Chicken, Pesto Chicken Penne Asiago, Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Sirloin with Crab and Shrimp. My favourite was the spicy pesto penne and Sirloin. I didn't know that crab meat and Sirloin would go so well together. I usually go to places that are known for their dessert, so I thought if they can cook the dishes so well, why cant they make my dessert just as good. Attended a group dinner here just yesterday. The waitress was excellent and made us feel welcome even though a few members of our party were late. Hoewever, the food was less than stellar. My husband and I had the Wednesday night date special (2 for $50). We started with the spinach dip appetizer. It was mediocre. We then both had the steak frite, served medium rare. The steak was cooked more to the medium side and was really not that great at all. The seasoning was off, parts of the steak seemed burnt. My parmesan fries were overloaded with cheese - making it hard to eat. We finished off the meal with the white chocolate cheesecake- absolutely delicious and the only good thing about this meal.
