This is a new one on me...we were limited to a two hour seating time. I guess because the place was SO busy & it was. I had a Caesar salad ($9.00) to start it was ok but the added caesar dress was delicious. My main was the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo ($27.75). Not much taste & a not particularly large order. Came here twice before. Once for the tuna poke, it tasted like water, not fresh at all and it included lettuce. Which was super weird. The other time I tried a bibimbap, it was ok. Really like the crispy rice on the bottom. But it definitely lack some flavours. The place itself has good seating, and the service is usually good. Overall 3.5/5 Located at Yorkdale inside is the hostess by the mall entrance. They have patio seatings and indoors along with car seats. The patio has heaters for cold days but no fan of any kind during summer time. The service is top notch, they are very kind and attentive. The staff is quick here, food and drinks come out quick. Our server gave us recommendations since we took a little while to order but was still patient with us. The food honestly was disappointing, it was overpriced like your usual restaurants like these. I got medium steak, came out more medium well. My sister got medium rare and some parts were medium to medium rare. I guess that's how it is in these restaurants?? The tortellini was not good. It's supposed to be truffle flavour but it tasted more like the ones you get at costco or something. Really nothing special. My dish was drenched in sauce, I like sauce but this was over the top. We were a bit tired from travelling all day and ended up at Earls (first choice was cheesecake factory but they were packed). We were seated promptly at a lovely booth at the back of the restaurant. Excellent service and we really appreciated that they inquired about allergies when we placed our order. I was not very hungry so we started with some yam fries while we decided what to order. Ended up sharing a Margaretta pizza with the kids which the kids loved. I thought it was good, but needed some extra pizzazz too it. Maybe some spicy oil served on the side or some hot honey? Crust was good. Hubby had the chowder and it was nicely presented and delish. Hubby also had the steak frites and he enjoyed it. It's been a long time since I've been to an Earl's and I was pleasantly surprised. This location is quite large I decided to sit on the patio which is quite cozy I did enjoy the space. To start we ordered the strawberry margarita tiny shots and they were on the sweet side so for those of us who like sweet it was a nice shot and for those of us who don't like sweet it was a little bit much had to mix that tahini in there I ordered the espresso martini and I ordered their tequila version that comes with reposado and it was smooth it all came together very well I did not taste the alcohol sometimes when you get an espresso Martini all you taste is alcohol I ordered the truffle tortellini and I decided not to add protein and it was absolutely delicious it came with a broccolini as the seasonal vegetable and mushrooms and it was just the right amount for lunch and possibly dinner too lol! The Santa Fe salad is quite a large salad it is definitely filling and you can use it as a meal especially because it comes with chicken breast the dates really complement the salad. The steak tacos come with chips and salsa the salsa is pretty mild so if you're looking for like traditional salsa this is not quite it but the tacos are good. And the burger is also good. It has been years since I came back to this restaurant. The one I went to before was downtown; now that they have one at Yorkdale, I decided to bring my parents, and they loved it. My parents are normally the picky ones when it comes to food, but they enjoyed every bite of the food that day. It was very spacious and not loud at the restaurant, which was perfect since I brought my baby along with me. The server was so attentive that it made the meal even better. It was restaurant week and we had 3-course chef selected menus featuring a selection of Earls favourite. I like the vibe of the restaurant, it's good for dating. It was my first time here, we ordered salmon press and roast beef sliders duo as appetiser. Both were okay, taste is what as expected. For the main, we ordered the chicken clubhouse and chicken Alfredo. I like the chicken Alfredo, the texture of the Alfredo is a bit chewy and cheesy. And we had the chocolate toffee cake to wrap up our lunch. I prefer the cheesecake but they sold out The food overall is average, but I was a bit disappointed with their service. I waited for an hour to get my main course, and they forgot to refill my water. Venue 4/5 Very spacious, very accessible. Only thing is it can get crowded on Friday nights and Saturday night, especially during happy hour which starts at 9 PM when people are done with the mall. I would definitely recommend reserving a table in advance. just so you don't have to wait as long, especially if you know when you would like to dine. Service 3.5/5 It can take some time for your server to come to your table due to how busy they are at times. However, I've been here on multiple occasions throughout the week and the service is better earlier in the week when the restaurant is more empty which is expected. Food 4.5/5 Happy hour favourites include the queen bee pizza, the mushroom and kale pizza as well as steak frites. Portions are great flavours aren't over seasoned to the point where you are always thirsty. The food comes out quickly too. My first time at this Earl's location as we met up with friends at Yorkdale for lunch on a Saturday. Three of the four of us ordered from the breakfast menu. It was odd that they were all out of omelettes, but not out of eggs, perhaps the cheese was all give for the omelettes? I had the breakfast with scrambled eggs. I appreciated the little side salad. The toast might have had garlic butter on it - there was no offering of jam to go with it. The little layered potato squares were good. (They dropped a piece of my bacon on the table and never returned with the replacement piece that they offered. I wouldn't have eaten it anyway as three pieces are too many for me. Went to Earl's at Yorkdale Mall last night with my wife and although it was last minute we had to sit at the bar to have our dinner. I had the salmon and my wife had the Caesar salad. I really like this location. The staff are friendly and when you have a reservation you are not waiting like the others. They even went above and beyond and gave us a happy wedding anniversary card as I was celebrating my eight years. The table chairs were comfortable and the lighting didn't make the dining experience dark like other restaurants. Tristan was amazing and so attentive. He was helpful with suggestions and double checked on allergy concerns. The food was delicious as always. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try a new dish. Blackened steak for me please! I'm so glad I did because it was delicious and cooked exactly how I wanted it. My husband's was a little bland though but he still looked like he enjoyed it. Overall rating: 3.5/5 (rounded down) Having been to multiple locations of Earls with different quality experiences, I was hopeful that their Yorkdale location would fall into the more positive experience category. Brunch at Earls had been so hyped up on social media, and the menu looked fantastic. Unfortunately, I found the food to be just "ok" considering the price and venue. The crab cakes didn't taste as good as in their dinner menu (more flour/breadcrumbs, I think), and the poached eggs were much smaller than I'd expect. The fried potato pavé was the highlight of their brunch, but I felt like ours were a bit burnt. What I will say though was that service was friendly & helpful, and the overall ambiance and decor felt modern with a touch of urban greenery and luxury. Will I come back for brunch? I went to Earls at Yorkdale for brunch and ordered the Pulled Chicken Clubhouse. The sandwich is delicious and the right balance of ingredients that hits the spot. The sourdough bread is fresh, crunchy on the outside and the pulled chicken salad has the perfect mix of avocado, garlic and mayonnaise. The restaurant is massive and very spacious. The washrooms are definitely accessible and stroller friendly. Reservations can be made online and recommended as it can get quite busy on a weekend! This is definitely my go to for a nice brunch sandwich and would highly recommend others to check it out. The only draw back is that it is quite pricey for a sandwich but for the location and beauty decor, I can definitely understand why. read more

After a long day of shopping, the Japanese tacos wrapped in rice paper were a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. The wings and the avocado dip with street corn were equally delicious and left us craving for more. While the food was fantastic, I must admit that the mojito didn't quite meet our expectations. It could use a little improvement in terms of flavor . However, this minor hiccup didn't dampen our overall enjoyment. Finally got to come try Earl's Kitchen + Bar. The food was good, and I can see why they're so popular. The Avocado and Corn dip appetizer is fantastic. It's very simple but bursts with flavour. I was really glad we got this one. We also ordered truffle fries which were good, but I think they lacked a bit of truffle flavour for us. Ours was more like regular fries. I don't know if they missed a step? Good aioli though. And I liked the texture of the fries. For mains, we had chicken risotto which we were not really impressed with. It lacked flavour and the chicken was a bit dry. Bit disappointed with that one. I got the half rack ribs, and I gotta say, I actually really liked it. The sides on the dish were fantastic. I think I'd go back for this one. The service was incredibly slow and it was impossible to flag down a server even though there was literally one walking by us every minute. I found it really irritating that they also just chat with each other and walk side by side instead of actually servicing the tables around. Yet another reason to hate the tipping culture here. We had to leave early and clearly had 4 plates of full food infront of us. It took us 7 minutes to flag down a guy to ask for boxes and he literally brought us TWO and just left without asking if we needed anything else. It took, you guessed it, another 5-7 minutes to just get the attention of the next person to bring two more. It really irked me. We then had to flag someone else down to get the bill. I should have just chased down the box guy. It's also very dark and loud in the restaurant. Not really my scene. They're trying a little hard I think to give a certain vibe and I guess it just doesn't work for me. I want to see and enjoy my food and my company. I also don't want to take 20 minutes just to get boxes and the check. Personally, I think this place is a bit hyped up. I wouldn't say that I'm not coming back again, but maybe a slow night where I'm not going to need to go anywhere after dinner. read more

I visited Earls on a Wednesday night, and while it wasn't too busy, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was essentially invisible from the moment we sat down. After taking our order, she disappeared, and our food arrived before our drinks. We had to remind the runner to bring us our beverages, as our server was nowhere to be found. At one point, we even wondered if she had finished her shift early, given how absent she was. We ordered the steak frites and a variety of taco sushi. The steak, despite being ordered medium-rare, came out extremely chewy--definitely not the tender cut I was expecting. Although I was hungry and ate through it, I eventually flagged our server down to address the issue. She acknowledged the problem and promised to inform the kitchen, but she took the partially eaten plate and vanished again. Meanwhile, my partner ordered pizza, which she brought out, but yet again, she forgot to bring side plates and disappeared. After trying to get her attention through another server, we eventually had to ask for the bill because the overall experience had been so frustrating. Unfortunately, the combination of poor service, missed details, and subpar food quality left a bad taste. Went here with a friends for a gathering. Haven't been to Yorkdale in ages and never went to this restaurant until now. Ambiance: 4/5 - it was a weekend night so it was busy and crowded. It can get loud (which is to be expe ted) so conversations are a little difficult. As it does have a bar, it's dimly litted with overhead table lights. It is stil bright enough to read the menu. Service: 5/5 - the server we had was super sweet. She was so patient with us. We asked her what she would recommend and she gave us some dishes she loves. We ordered 2 appetizers so she said, no worries. She'll put in our mains into the system later so that we can enjoy. She checked on us regularly. Once we were done our mains, our plates were collected. After making sure we didn't need anything else, she let is chat away. The manager later came and asked us to leave because there was another reservation. I think seating time is 60-90 minutes so be cognizant when being here, especially on weekends. Food: 3/5 - collectively, we ordered: truffle fries, street corn amd avocado dip, chicken fettuccine alfredo (x2), margherita pizza, and a 6oz sirloin steak. Price range: $$-$$$, depending on what you order. The truffle fries were great and it came with an aioli. It was nice and crispy. The street corn and avocado dip - i appreciated the toast. The dip itself could have used more seasoning in my opinion. The vegetables and mashed potatoes that came with the steak was cooked perfectly. Not too sure what the crispy shreds are but it gave the overall meal a contrasting texture. The steak was ok. The server warned me that when customers order medium rare, it comes out as medium and suggested ordering it on the more rare side. I went with her suggestion. The steak was between raw to medium rare. I found the steak tough to cut and chewy to eat. It came with truffle butter - not sure it added much. I had really great experience the first couple of times I came to Earl's. The service was great and food was delicious, however, I was there last night for dinner. The hostess serviced two other people who peeped their head in while I was standing right in front of her. I asked for a table for 2, she told me it would be 5 minutes and asked me for my phone number to receive text update for my seating. I came back within 10 minutes to confirm my seating, she said she called for my name but didn't see me... she never asked me for my name...nor did I get any text update for my seat. The hostess disregards what I said and asks for my name again, I gave it to her and she said "I did ask for your name, it's right here!" (No you didn't, my name is in the system because I've been here before) I asked for a manager as soon as we were brought to our seat and told the manager what has happened. The manager was kind and courteous though she did walk up to the table without introducing herself and asked if there was a problem. Our waiter came shortly after and we had a great experience with him, the food did take some time to come as it was dinner time and it was a pretty full resturant. I ordered the New York medium rare, the steak came over cooked. When the waiter came by to check our food quality, I politely asked him if he put in my order as medium or medium rare. He said medium rare - he offered to send me a new one, however my partner was already half way through his meal (he's a fast eater). A new location of Earls just opened in Yorkdale. I went here with my friends on a Saturday, and we were lucky that we got a table within 5 mins of waiting. Our server Cyrus was friendly and attentive. I like the ambiance, but the place might be too busy and loud for others. For the food, we ordered the Seafood Platter, Angry Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and truffle fries to share. The first two were great, and we all loved it, but the truffle fries were quite disappointing. I ordered a Chicken alfredo for my main, and it was okay. We also ordered the only three desserts they had on their menu, and I have to say the Sticky Toffee Chocolate Pudding was my favorite; it was not overly sweet, and the flavour got stronger after your first taste.
