We were a bit tired from travelling all day and ended up at Earls (first choice was cheesecake factory but they were packed). We were seated promptly at a lovely booth at the back of the restaurant. Excellent service and we really appreciated that they inquired about allergies when we placed our order. I was not very hungry so we started with some yam fries while we decided what to order. Ended up sharing a Margaretta pizza with the kids which the kids loved. I thought it was good, but needed some extra pizzazz too it. Maybe some spicy oil served on the side or some hot honey? Crust was good. Hubby had the chowder and it was nicely presented and delish. Hubby also had the steak frites and he enjoyed it. Its a cute place for some drinks and to hang out, but there was not very many options for kids. Think Joeys/Moxies type of vibe for my Ottawa peeps. Glad I checked it out though.

It's been a long time since I've been to an Earl's and I was pleasantly surprised. This location is quite large I decided to sit on the patio which is quite cozy I did enjoy the space. To start we ordered the strawberry margarita tiny shots and they were on the sweet side so for those of us who like sweet it was a nice shot and for those of us who don't like sweet it was a little bit much had to mix that tahini in there I ordered the espresso martini and I ordered their tequila version that comes with reposado and it was smooth it all came together very well I did not taste the alcohol sometimes when you get an espresso Martini all you taste is alcohol I ordered the truffle tortellini and I decided not to add protein and it was absolutely delicious it came with a broccolini as the seasonal vegetable and mushrooms and it was just the right amount for lunch and possibly dinner too lol! The Santa Fe salad is quite a large salad it is definitely filling and you can use it as a meal especially because it comes with chicken breast the dates really complement the salad. The steak tacos come with chips and salsa the salsa is pretty mild so if you're looking for like traditional salsa this is not quite it but the tacos are good. And the burger is also good. I also went on my birthday and they gave me a hammer and birthday card which I thought was super sweet Service was good they did have a broken oven at the time they said that they could not do any omelets or pizzas, which I hope they can get that fixed soon.. because half of the brunch options are omelets

It has been years since I came back to this restaurant. The one I went to before was downtown; now that they have one at Yorkdale, I decided to bring my parents, and they loved it. My parents are normally the picky ones when it comes to food, but they enjoyed every bite of the food that day. It was very spacious and not loud at the restaurant, which was perfect since I brought my baby along with me. The server was so attentive that it made the meal even better. We will definitely be coming back again for their brunch. Our waitress, Yanka, had a lovely smile and was very attentive and helpful.

It was restaurant week and we had 3-course chef selected menus featuring a selection of Earls favourite. I like the vibe of the restaurant, it's good for dating. It was my first time here, we ordered salmon press and roast beef sliders duo as appetiser. Both were okay, taste is what as expected. For the main, we ordered the chicken clubhouse and chicken Alfredo. I like the chicken Alfredo, the texture of the Alfredo is a bit chewy and cheesy. And we had the chocolate toffee cake to wrap up our lunch. I prefer the cheesecake but they sold out The food overall is average, but I was a bit disappointed with their service. I waited for an hour to get my main course, and they forgot to refill my water. At the end, they also mistakenly charged $10 more......they definitely need to improve their service.....not a good experience for me

Venue 4/5 Very spacious, very accessible. Only thing is it can get crowded on Friday nights and Saturday night, especially during happy hour which starts at 9 PM when people are done with the mall. I would definitely recommend reserving a table in advance. just so you don't have to wait as long, especially if you know when you would like to dine. Service 3.5/5 It can take some time for your server to come to your table due to how busy they are at times. However, I've been here on multiple occasions throughout the week and the service is better earlier in the week when the restaurant is more empty which is expected. Food 4.5/5 Happy hour favourites include the queen bee pizza, the mushroom and kale pizza as well as steak frites. Portions are great flavours aren't over seasoned to the point where you are always thirsty. The food comes out quickly too. The menu is also quite diverse so there is a dish for everyone to enjoy or share.

We went this evening to Earls at Yorkdale this evening We had reservations this evening Highly recommended given its a very busy and popular spot on a Friday evening The vibe in there is chill, classy, and upscale Our waitresses that took care of our table were great The food was a good bite to eat We started with the Yuzu calamari It was very tasty and the sauce that accompanied it was good Loved the hint of lemon in the calamari itself My wife had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and enjoyed it I had the pulled chicken club sandwich with fries The sandwich was tasty and good Overall the meal was enjoyable and the vibe was great for a Saturday night Definitely would go back again to this Earl's location for a meal again

Loved the ceaser salad and the kale pizza. So fresh and tasty. The ambiance was very live and pleasing with a good music going on in the background

I really like this location. The staff are friendly and when you have a reservation you are not waiting like the others. They even went above and beyond and gave us a happy wedding anniversary card as I was celebrating my eight years. The table chairs were comfortable and the lighting didn't make the dining experience dark like other restaurants. Tristan was amazing and so attentive. He was helpful with suggestions and double checked on allergy concerns. The food was delicious as always. I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try a new dish. Blackened steak for me please! I'm so glad I did because it was delicious and cooked exactly how I wanted it. My husband's was a little bland though but he still looked like he enjoyed it. I think I have found the new Earls location and even new celebration spot. Can't wait to dine here again.

Overall rating: 3.5/5 (rounded down) Having been to multiple locations of Earls with different quality experiences, I was hopeful that their Yorkdale location would fall into the more positive experience category. Brunch at Earls had been so hyped up on social media, and the menu looked fantastic. Unfortunately, I found the food to be just "ok" considering the price and venue. The crab cakes didn't taste as good as in their dinner menu (more flour/breadcrumbs, I think), and the poached eggs were much smaller than I'd expect. The fried potato pavé was the highlight of their brunch, but I felt like ours were a bit burnt. What I will say though was that service was friendly & helpful, and the overall ambiance and decor felt modern with a touch of urban greenery and luxury. Will I come back for brunch? I'm undecided at this time.

Pulled Chicken Clubhouse (avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, garlic, mayonnaise, jalapeño havarti in a grilled sourdough)
    Julie N.

I went to Earls at Yorkdale for brunch and ordered the Pulled Chicken Clubhouse. The sandwich is delicious and the right balance of ingredients that hits the spot. The sourdough bread is fresh, crunchy on the outside and the pulled chicken salad has the perfect mix of avocado, garlic and mayonnaise. The restaurant is massive and very spacious. The washrooms are definitely accessible and stroller friendly. Reservations can be made online and recommended as it can get quite busy on a weekend! This is definitely my go to for a nice brunch sandwich and would highly recommend others to check it out. The only draw back is that it is quite pricey for a sandwich but for the location and beauty decor, I can definitely understand why.

heartfelt thanks for the wonderful dining experience we had at Earl's in the Yorkdale mall. After a long day of shopping, the Japanese tacos wrapped in rice paper were a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. The wings and the avocado dip with street corn were equally delicious and left us craving for more. While the food was fantastic, I must admit that the mojito didn't quite meet our expectations. It could use a little improvement in terms of flavor . However, this minor hiccup didn't dampen our overall enjoyment. The warm hospitality and scrumptious food made our day truly memorable, and we look forward to returning soon for another gastronomic adventure.

I went for happy hour! it was so busy, and the vibes were lively the service was super friendly and had frequent check ups which was nice. ambiance is dark. food is decent but the happy menu hour is definitely worth checking out! lychee martini is so good!

Roast beef sandwich + garden salad
    Don L.

I ordered the new roast beef sandwich. On the smaller side but taste was great. They were very accommodating with leaving the horseradish sauce for me on the side. With the sandwich there a selection of sides to choose from (fries, salad, soup) Staff was great and friendly. Went at around 7 on a Thursday night and it was quite busy. Would come back and try other things on the menu!

It's got this '70s rec-room basement vibe that I personally find completely irresistible. If I had a house, I'd want at least one room that looks exactly like what Lonely Diner's got going on. And fortunately, the drinks and food live up to the incredible atmosphere. I started out with the Haw Yeah ("Rum blend, amaro meletti, pernod, hawflakes, high octane black sugar falernum, mulberry grenadine, lime"), which is a delicious spin on a typical tiki drink. I've ordered it twice now, and it's satisfied me completely on both occasions. Another favorite for me is the Lucky Numb-er 8 ("Gin, pomello & lemongrass gentian, cocchi americano, dry vermouth, sichuan peppercorn tincture"), which is their spin on a white Negroni. It's so damn good. It's packed with flavor and definitely reminds me of a Negroni, but like better than any Negroni I've ever had. If that wasn't impressive enough, the food is terrific too. I tried one of their specials, the Wasabi Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Sichuan peppercorn battered fried chicken with a wasabi spiced caesar dressing and anchovies on a brioche bun"), on my latest visit and it's so, so good. The perfectly cooked and impressively juicy chicken is accompanied by an incredibly flavorful assortment of accouterments. I inhaled it, pretty much. The servers at Lonely Diner are super friendly and helpful, too. I love Lonely Diner. I hope it sticks around for a long, long time.

Each dish has elevated twist, and the price is so reasonable and even generous for the quality. Cocktails are excellent (lots of line-ups). They also serve nice choices of local craft beers on tap. We ordered: (Food) #Cast Iron Baked Brie fresh baked brie with house-made wild berry compote, candied pecans, prosciutto, garlic crostini $17 : This served as perfect appetizer for 3 of us. Enjoyable. Variety of ways to enjoy the baked brie. #Canadian Striploin 7oz striploin, garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables: We tried different & great steak dish here before, and this one is also EXCELLENT - the on-point seasonings, perfectly med-rare. Roasted veggies and mashed potato leave its own flavour and texture with right amount of seasonings. #Stuffed Mushroom Ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms, tossed in a beurre blanc sauce, topped with fresh Parmesan: I wished the ravioli itself had more mushroom-forward flavor, and the wrapper had more delicacy (in terms of thickness and texture). However, I loved the beurre Blanc sauce - it was foamy - making the butter-ly and creamy sauce feel light in the mouth. Nice hint of tangy-ness. #Herb Crusted Salmonwith garlic herb mashed potatoes, grilled seasonal vegetables, and beurre blanc sauce: The same sauce as ravioli, that matched with salmon well. (Cocktails) #Fig Fizz: With Durham distillery Gin, Raspberry Liqueur, fig jam, lemon juice, honey syrup, soda # Lavender cosmopolitan # Passion Prosecco Martini # Spicy Hibiscus Margarita All the cocktails were presented beautifully. Today's highlight was Spicy Hibiscus Margarita. (Dessert) Chocolate Espresso Martini Cake rich vanilla cake, mascarpone, house-made chocolate espresso mousse $10: Essentially, tiramisu. lol. Nicely presented. This place is versatile for us. Just for snack, just for cocktails, just for local beer, and elevated food experiences. Promising satisfying experience in each occasion. So blessed to have this place in my neighbourhood.
