Nothing stood out, except the fizzy lemonade was quite refreshing, and the unagi was some of the tenderest I've ever had. Otherwise there was nothing special, but nothing bad either. I guess other people love avocado. It was part of the unagi don bowl, but it didn't add anything to the eating experience. It's a Toronto trend that feels like a little box is getting checked in most restaurants. However, other tables were getting what looked like well-prepared dishes, and I would definitely return to try something else here.

Ladybug Wine Bar is a cute but also sophisticated wine bar located on King Street, steps away from shopping and restaurants. We stopped in here on a snowy Sunday before our flight home. They also serve Sunday Brunch. We grabbed a few open seats at the comfy bar. They do not offer wine flights, which made this experience pretty darn expensive but SOOOO worth it. We had such a fun time and the people working were so nice, we honeslty did not want to leave. They were willing to help with our selections. We actually ordered all their Reds by the glass. I know, but there were only about 6 and we had to try them all. I like to say "go big or go home" LOL! We loved almost all except for maybe a few. He was very hesitant to serve me, looks me up and down... He made me pay before even receiving my drink. I asked for a Jameson neat.... He serves it to me in a shot glass. If you are a bartender that's something you should be knowledgeable about. This place is not welcoming at all.. and definitely wouldn't recommend l, consider or even try to come back. Especially when the bartender has hygiene issues. Also he tells everyone that comes in that he can make them whatever they like; which is not possible at all due to limited experience in bartending and limited supplies. In my past, I have experience in bartending/service industry. As I know what they go through with people I'm a really great tipper. But for something like this, just broke my heart. It's really not welcoming and such disappointment in today's society when it's your first time in Toronto.
