Deep fried mars bar with smarties and ice cream
Mel L.

I went on a weeknight evening and it was fairly empty. I ordered the chicken and stuffing sandwich + chips, which came pretty fast. However, I'm not sure if they were properly prepared because they were not really warm when they arrived and they were bland and barely had any flavour. I tried a bit of the deep fried mars bar dessert that my friend had ordered as well and found that it was just average. The service was decent enough, and the location has parking (a huge plus since this is Streetsville). I was expecting more because of the reviews I've seen, but maybe things have changed since the last reviews were written.

Cheers! Cuchulainn's Irish Pub does have a great patio. A decent 16 draft selections that includes Flying Monkey's/Steam Whistle from the local brewery and a selections of Irish scotch and whiskys. The structure though is quite historical as it was built in 1832 as a wedding present for John Burnharts daughter, each of his children received a home but this is the only one that survived. It is one of the Historical Designated building in the Village of Streetsville. If you are in the area and feel like having a pint or 2, Cuchulainn's definitely worth the visit!

Great wings and Shepard's pie. Service is great too. Only place that serves Kilkenny.

The service was so so and the prices were very high for a pub. Paid $14 for a poutine!

We didn't reserve in advance (which I now highly recommend). The wait was about an hour, but we passed the time at the nearby Churchill with a pre‑drink, and they texted us when our table was ready. The Sunday night jazz band was fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they work together as a team to take care of you. Amber was our primary server - she was great. Service for both drinks and food was quick, and the cozy Irish pub atmosphere made it even better. Definitely try to reserve ahead on the website if you can. If not, just plan to relax at one of the nearby pubs until your table is ready.

Parking in NOTL always a bit of a challenge especially if you don't want to pay! Wife enjoyed her 1+1 - 2 different fish filets with chips. I had the Irish Experience of three different meat pies. Each did have a unique taste. A filling and interesting dish. Murphy's stout on tap was Devine. Wife found her NA Moscow mule good but, given no alcohol, she felt the serving volume was low. Less than $100 CA all-in seemed reasonable for a fairly authentic Irish meal.

I sat in the sunroof area but was still warm thankfully as its -8c outside! And elderly regular came in and chatted up the waitress who was very friendly. I ordered mild wings and a coffee. The music was low key and thankfully the volume was low. The pub was very clean with many big screen TVs. I think Id like to come back for dinner or a sporting night! The wings were big and I ordered breaded. Good choice! They were super delicious and meaty. I appreciated the three wet-naps! (even with the three wet naps, I managed to leave the place with sauce on my face lol) I chose a single order and I could have eaten a double order. I'll definitely be coming here for wings again. $5 off wings on Thursdays and Sundays all day!! Yay! The service was so pleasant which made for a great lunch experience. So happy with this place. Highly recommend!! PS I still feel uncomfortable taking pics inside, but if you google images, that's pretty much it.

Sure, it was good... but Doc's knocked by socks off. I went here on a recommendation from the staff at a hotel that competes with the Best Western where Doc's is located, which is always a good sign for a hotel restaurant. Got the corned beef boxty, which is amazing. With the boxty fries, which were really good - much better than standard fries, in my opinion. And had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Heavenly. I actually went back two days later after dinner at another restaurant to have the sticky toffee pudding one more time. The atmosphere is very nice, like a pub should be, with good service from the bartender, music the second night I was there, and some good conversation with a fellow traveler from London (Ontario). The odds are high that I'll be back. If you're looking for somewhere to burn all the delicious calories, my suggestions are the Niagara River Recreation Trail (from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake) and the Niagara Gorge Hiking Trails. Three and a half out of five for Doc's matches. They burn well, and are a cool souvenir, but it's difficult to strike them on the side of the box. Still useful to have around the house where I can strike them on the side of another box, but not ideal for a retro night out on the town.

Tasty Pub Fare, Great Vibes & Even Better Reuben Bites!…read more Doc Magilligan's is a cozy Irish pub with a solid menu, a great beer selection, and a lively atmosphere. We really enjoyed the live music--it definitely added to the vibe, though it did make chatting a bit tricky at times. That said, the sets were short and added a fun touch to the evening. We started with a few appetizers, and everything hit the spot--the cauliflower bites were tasty, the spinach dip was solid, but the star was definitely the Reuben Bites--absolutely delicious! For mains, my wife ordered the mac and cheese and loved the depth of flavour--you can really taste the leeks, which was a nice twist. I got the chicken parm mac and cheese and thought it was fantastic--the chicken was juicy, crispy, and perfectly done. The rest of our group was just as happy--my brother raved about the Chicken Pot Pie, and the Bangers and Mash were also a hit. Overall, a great Irish pub experience with comforting food, friendly vibes, and some standout dishes. Definitely worth a visit!

I ordered the turkey avocado club. Liked it. Had lettuce, tomatoes, a slice of Kraft processed singles, pickled onions, chipotle mayo. What it promised and was unfortunately missing was the avocado, which was supposed to come as guacamole. Would have been nice to have it and I probably should have said something. Next time. While I wouldn't expect a pub to have great salads, I was quite pleased with the quality and portion size of their Cobb Salad. I ordered it without any modifications, but in retrospect I think it might have been better if I switched the blue cheese (original) for feta cheese - I'm biased though. The day after, I ended up ordering their Caesar Salad over the phone, for takeout. It was great too, although the dressing could have a bit more garlic - I'm also biased on this topic :) Service was quite fast and all servers were courteous, and wearing masks. The pub also offers a lesser known, and therefore quiet back patio with a few tables and large umbrellas. And I'm not talking about the one you see right when you walk out the back door. There is another one behind that. I only found out about it when I left, but it was quite welcoming and I will consider going again to sit at the (second) back patio!

They share the same kitchen (and perhaps owner too). When we got there around lunch time, Nevizade was still closed but the staff said that we could order from both menus. The interior is typical of that of an Irish pub, with Irish-themed decorations, big TV screens (playing football at that time), full bar section, a small stage (for live music / performances at night), and traditional Irish music playing in the background. The interior was quite spacious with plenty of tables and seatings available (both at the bar and dining area). We were there just a few days after Halloween, so they still had Halloween decorations up (spider webs, skeletons, etc.). I liked the festive Halloween feel. The menu was pretty good - salads, miso salmon bowl, and the typical bar fare (such as burgers and fish & chips). Food was decent (I had the Arugula Salad), and service was nice and friendly.
