U don't see people dancing in bars as much in 2018.....

Good neighbourhood pub. Popular with many regulars. Bartenders, staff been nice on 2 visits. They even have bands, dancing... Food looked good coming out..

Back patio at Timothy's bar with my favourite beer after a hot and sweat working day ... cheers!

Very good food and beer!! Patio is the best (front and back) but what makes the difference is the service itself (Dora is always ready to serve you with a smile). Cheers!!!

Great local live music venue that has been open for over 18 years. I dropped-by on a Friday at around 6pm, grabbed a table near the window. This pub has a nice lively atmosphere and pretty cool interior, even a decent outdoor patio. I ordered a veggie burger, came with really delicious nicely seasoned fries (nice sized portion) and a couple of drinks. I'm so thankful Timothy's offers vegetarian options, I'm so sick of going to a pub and struggling with dead-tasting salads. My waitress was fantastic, so very friendly and sweet! I'll be back soon, hopefully to see a live band :)

It was my friend's birthday and he had chosen Timothy's to get together for some live music as he knew the act the night we went (this past Saturday). This place isn't huge but it's ok and could be considered a little tight for a live band because the stage is kind of small but since the band could play well it's large enough. The area is tight near the bar since there's partitions separating the floor in front of the stage with stool seating as well as the bar having stool seating sort of creates a bottle neck through the one way in and out of the kitchen and from behind the bar as servers are constantly moving in and out of this area and there's people sitting on both sides. It's sort of tight in that area but when it's busy it can be that way. We had to pay a 5 dollar cover to get in I'm guessing because of the band and we sat near the front at the partition stools and my friends had ordered some food. It looked good but I wasn't hungry so I didn't even try any of it. The pints all seemed to be around 7 and change and we all had a bunch of drinks and the service was pretty good, they knew what we were all having without having to tell the bartender. I didn't end up staying very long but this place is ok. Everybody that ate the wings were saying they were really good and even my other friend who never eats wings said he enjoyed them. I liked the variety of beer they had on tap and they had some craft IPAs as well which to me is what I'll always take over some generic big brand.

Going to check out this Fleetwood Mac tribute on Jan 16.

The Olde Angel is no exception. I love the history of the building and the quainess of the restaurant and bar. Have spent a lot of my life coming here and have always loved. The food today was not great. I wanted Shepherds pie and was told the mashed potatoes arent gluten free. I dont know what one does to mashed potatoes to make them not gluten free?!?!?!?! A bit shocking and that isnt really Shepherds pie. I was told I could have rice but that REALLY isnt Shepherds pie. Lol. So I opted for a burger no roll. The burger was overcooked. I shoveled it in and called it a night. We sat in the bar at a long table and a wonderful couple ended up sitting with us and pretty much we all had dinner together and talked. Was really nice. I would definitely say go and experience the history and from what I hear the fish and chips and the Shepherds pie are great if u can eat them. Lol. You won't be disappointed but go and take in the rest of Niagara on the Lake for a day too.

We arrived at around 6:30 and the place was pretty much packed. (It's a much, much smaller joint than I would've thought.) We did manage to snag a sweet table by the window, but then we were informed that an acoustic musician would be setting up shop right behind us at 7:00. I figured we probably wouldn't last too long once he started performing, so we decided to just share an order of the Sausage Rolls ("honey mustard sauce"). They arrived to the table impressively fast and sure looked great. They tasted great, too. I might even go so far as to say they're among the best Sausage Rolls I've ever eaten. The sausage is really tasty and flavorful, while the pastry around them is just as good. The zesty honey mustard perfectly complements them, too. I really enjoyed my brief visit to the Henry VIII Ale House, and I look forward to returning at some point in the future.

And judging by the fact that it was packed with people waiting for tables, we weren't the only ones who thought so. There was a woman eating wings at the end of the bar ... they looked good! A guy had a bison burger next to us and it was HUGE! If we are in that 'hood, we'll definitely stop in again, especially for a meal.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, which made it even more enjoyable. I ordered fried calamari along with single chicken wings tossed in an Asian sweet and spicy sauce--both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. The combination of crispy textures and bold flavors really stood out. What made the experience even better was the service. Our server was amazing--attentive, friendly, and truly great at her job. She made us feel welcome from the start. I always enjoy trying new places, and this visit did not disappoint. If you're looking for an American restaurant near Niagara Falls, this is definitely worth trying. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a great experience.
