I recently ordered their takeout. They generally provides average quality of food without many surprises, both positive and negative. You won't be disappointed if you don't have super high expectations. A few things I've ordered: - Beef liver with bacon: I didn't taste this dish. According to my friend, the liver is average but the veggie is super yummy. It also comes with big portion. - Chicken pot pie: The pie crust is really tasty, chicken tastes a bit dry. Not too many surprises from this dish. - Calamari: It tastes alright after re-heating up. Again, nothing special. - Fish taco: I really don't enjoy the heavy flavouring of this dish. It adds a lot of burdens to my tasting buds. It's too sour and unevenly salted. In general, this is a place I would not frequently revisit, but I'm okay with ordering delivery from them once in a while.

I've only been once, but I went with my friend who is a regular. It had a great feel to the establishment, lots of regulars who come in for a drink. The food was really good for the price. I had the mac and cheese, and it came out still bubbling. It was a little watery, but for $12, it was not bad at all. You can add more toppings for $1/topping, and I went for tomatoes and jalapenos. I would recommend adding at least one more item. But more impressive were the curry fries. Absolutely amazing. They are certainly very addictive, and I would go back solely for those fries. It is a must try if you go check this place out! The only complaint I would have was it took a while for the food to come out. I came around 2:30pm on a Sunday, and there were not a lot of people. Not sure if this problem applies later on.

3 star for having Seasonal Craft Beer on draft 1.5 star for food I have been to King Henry's Arms numerous time and I now come to a conclusion that I would not going to eat here again. Love their beer selection but the food item was more a miss 80% of the time. Just don't ever order their Yorkshire pudding dipping. It was burnt and bitter outside and not cooked inside. The waitress at first told us that 's how it suppose to be?! But after I insisted, she ended up taken it off the bill +0.5 star. Mon-Fri half price app which is ok price as I doubt I would have paid $7.50 for the basket of onion rings or waffle fries. I would continue to have a pint of Black Oak or Lakes of Bay or whatever local craft beers on tap as pre or post dinner drink.

Yorkshire puddings 6 pieces per order. Someone couldn't wait and so one had gone!

This was like a 3-star pub to me prior to the Yelp GTA Rock event. Now, I have to add another one star to it. I had never really paid attention to King Henry's Arms because I like some places more fancy than this place. My bf likes to come here some of the times and so I tried this place before. I tried their pub food but I did not find the food special to me. It was very possibly because I felt that it was not my place lol. Yesterday, I tried their sample food - Yorkshire pudding at the Yelp GTA Rock. They were just amazing and it is actually on the pub menu. I don't mind go there again and try more of their food plus drinks:)

King Henry's is my go to local bar. I can confidently say that I have been to this bar more than any other bar in my life. Whenever I feel like going for a drink, a bite, watching a game, meeting a friend, or whatever the case may be, I typically head over to Henry's. I've been frequenting this bar ever since my older brother took me there when I was 15 or 16 years of age. He was a regular, and per the usual knew everyone in there, so if I strolled in with him I was good. Long story short, this is a bar I have always felt very comfortable in. You might be thinking this is a fancy or sleek looking bar with amazing food, service, and big flat screens, but it's really just a simple ordinary bar with an old fashioned styled décor. The venue itself is not all that big but uniquely layed out. There is a decent sized bar near the entrance and 5 or 6 tables slightly elevated to the left of the entrance. Towards the back are roughly a dozen booths which are fairly tight to the point where 4 people in a booth would be uncomfortably cramped. Solid for a date however ;) The food is traditional pub grub and doesn't take forever to come out like some other bars. I almost always order the King's cheese fries: A sizeable dish of fat fries, smothered in gravy, bacon, cheese, and subsequently baked to sh!t. Aside from that stroke, the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich is soild, as are the fajitas and Arms Burger. Please note I claim the food to be solid, the food isn't blow you out of the water incredible, but def hits the spot. Other notable mentions include Hoeegarden and Guiness on tap, clean washrooms and good service. The staff are also typically willing to accommodate your sport viewing needs as they have over a half dozen TV's throughout the pub. Catch you there for a pint.

This bar is a great place to chill out. I ordered Wednesday ribs special and washed it down with Yel-PA. My friend ordered the king henry burger & Creemore. Both orders came with fries. Ribs tasted Great. Yel-PA is awesome! Fries were fresh and tasty, one of the best I ever had! Waitress was very nice and professional. Booths are pretty comfy. I love the Rock music playing in the background. Free WiFi (password is their phone number, its on the menu and on their yelp page). I surely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

I visited King Henry's as one of the Yelp CMYE event. I found King Henry spacious, casual, comfortable, laid back. That plus a pint of Yel-P-A and a homey sheppard pie ($18 combo). Okay, the experience was pretty close to a lazy evening at home, minus the PJ, The sheppard pie was delicious. The mush potato was very soft and fluffy but not overly buttery. The meat pie portion was rich in flavour and thick and loaded with meat. The bean was super good; it didn't seem to be from a can or is there super high quality canned beans? The pint was, hey it was a Yelp beer, purrrr-fect! Our waitress was cool, fast and friendly.

My 4 year old was craving for Mac n cheese. She deserved my deep search for Mac n cheese because last 3 family eat-out occasions did not have Mac n cheese. And she did not complain. I searched around and called this place. They had Mac n cheese on the kids menu. We drove right in. Reading other reviews, we were not expecting much for the food. To our surprise, the food was fantastic. I had lamb shank and my husband had fish and chips. Both were delicious. I liked that the side veggies of the lamb shank were nicely cooked with butter. And the Mac n cheese was home made! I trust a restaurant that makes decent kids menu, not from frozen food such as fish sticks out of frozen box or kraft Mac n cheese box. My daughter finished all her dish which is unusual for this small eater. The server was friendly and personable. We will go back there on Saturday as they have "kids eat free" on Saturdays.

I decided to look at the menu, saw the lobster roll, and knew that I needed to order it. I love lobster rolls. I see it on a menu and I must order it. No thought required. Done! There are three COAST locations, all ghost kitchens, in the GTA. One is in downtown Toronto. Another is at the Firkin that I used to frequent at Yonge and Eglinton. The one is Vaughan is the latest addition, which is where I went last night. I placed my order through Uber Eats for pickup: - PEI lobster roll with COAST salad - Crispy COAST shrimp - Crème brûlée cheesecake - Superbowl Sunday special (free COAST fries when your order is $40 or more) The downside is that I got a general location as to where to go to pick up my food. I got to the plaza with Nations grocery store anchoring it. Where do I go next? Well, my prayers were answered when a nice person from COAST called me and said that my order was ready. He let me know that COAST is in The Moose, which is a Firkin pub. Yes, direction! I thanked him and parked closer to the pub. The Moose looks new and modern. It has patio heaters and is open for dining in, as is many eateries in York region now. I was greeted by a nice man. He asked for my order number. I showed it on my phone and he went to fetch my order. I saw this white paper bag with handles on the bar counter. He thanked me and handed it to me. I reciprocated. I could smell the fries through my mask. I was so excited and I headed over to my car. I got home and had dinner. I bought more than I could down, so I have leftovers today that I look forward to having I had a container full of salad. The PEI lobster roll was camouflaged by it. You can choose fries or salad as your side. Considering that I was going for free COAST fries, I settled for salad. I loved how much salad I got. The veggies were crisp and fresh. All I heard was my crunching on them. The salad dressing had balsamic vinegar, but it was subtle and didn't have a ton of sugar. I liked it a lot. My lobster roll was good. The lobster had generous chunks of real lobster in aioli, with chives and seasoning. Yum! The downside was the bun. The brioche bun needed to be softer and perhaps grilled more with butter. It would have made the experience nicer. It was a smaller roll than I had hoped for $20, but I had so much food that it was minor. What surprised me the most were the crispy COAST shrimp. They were super crispy. They had a bit of spice. The baby arugula balanced out the spiciness. I thoroughly enjoyed how crispy the whisper-thin batter coating each shrimp was. Perfection! I got the COAST fries on the house. The fries tasted so homemade, as if I had cut the fries myself, and someone did a better job at deep-frying them. It had Grana Padano cheese that I had never had. It tasted like parmesan, but milder. I loved it with the spicy aioli and chives. I love chives so much. I normally don't enjoy eating fries as a side, but I could do these any day. I have been good lately by not going overboard with desserts. However, I couldn't resist getting the crème brûlée cheesecake. Sadly, my slice got tossed around a tad in the container, so the pointy part of the slice was smashed. However, I ate it all, even with the whipped cream puddle next to it. I enjoyed this cheesecake slice a lot. It wasn't terribly sweet. The berry coulis on top provided a nice tartness and contrast. The crust was thin. The cheesecake was creamy and you could taste the beautiful crème brûlée flavour in each bite. It's a winner! I am eyeing the PEI lobster poutine, and COAST surf and turf burger next. I had a great experience. Prices do run steep, but it's worth treating yourself to fresh seafood and ingredients. (114)

I imagine the patio must be great in the summer. Yonge Street is close by, but Canadians become immune to carbon monoxide is summer because we throng to any outoor space, and rhe patio is further back than many downtown Toronto patios. The vibe inside is "moneyed gastropub". Glass and wood and UK heritage. The menu is huge, so a bit of a red lag, and more like a chain pub than a gastropub. FIghting off my PTSD from the last time I ordered a non-deep fried fish from a pub, I ordered the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. The server seemed a bit nervous, so I ran down my mental checklist. Shaved in the morning? Check. Showered? Check. Wearing clothes? Check. However, she was efficient, so no real complaints. The salmon arrived with a surprisingly nice presentation. It didn't smell like fish, so my PTSD subsided. It was a bit bland at the start, but as I got further in, the seasoning on top were quite pleasent. The peppers underneath were from frozen, and the mashed potatoes were from flakes, but it wasn't bad. Prices were at the level of any GTA gastropub. I imiagine this place is really popular with the locals, especially in summer. I can't say it's a destination, though, as there are so many pubs with the same design choices and vibe to choose from, and some have limited menus to focus on what the chef does best. But, if you're stuck at that bus stop and want a beer, I'd recommend it!
