It's been many years since I worked at Parkway Mall, one of my first jobs, and the start of my career in photography. The mall has certainly changed a lot since then, especially the dining options. There are a lot more choices now. I stopped by recently to have dinner at Gabby's, serving popular fare for all ages. They have a kids menu, a full service bar for the adults, and breakfast options available from 8am to 2pm every day. With lots of choices on their menu, I settled on the Baby Back Ribs and Wings Combo, served with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were smothered in their signature BBQ sauce, and I chose a lemon pepper dry rub for the wings. Overall, the meal was okay, but could have been better. The ribs had a bit too much sauce (for my preference), the wings were overcooked and dry, and I prefer my fries to be crispier. Although it wasn't a perfect meal, the service and ambiance were good enough to warrant a future visit. 3.5/5.0 read more

The service was horrible. Caucasian, tall and bald bartender was very rude and ENTITLED. My friends and I are regulars and today, a friday night(18/8/2026), went to order and were harassed by the bartender because we couldn't afford to tip. Horrible experience. And honestly he might be a little racist. Food is aight. read more

August 18, Tuesday 2:20 PM When I ordered the early bird breakfast, the server told me coffee is extra and it will cost $2.00; I went ahead with the order because the $2 extra is reasonable. Had I known it was $3.50, I would not have ordered the coffee. I only found out that my coffee costs $3.50 when I was given the bill. I take issue with this coffee thing because it makes me look like I am not telling the truth. Besides, a $3.50 coffee is a money grab, considering that it is mostly water. Again, I reiterate ... my family, friends and I won't be going back to Gabby's anymore. From now on, we will be going to EggSmart where coffee is included in their 2-egg Classic breakfast. read more

This is a really good spot. First time here and was impressed with all the dishes we got. For pub food, we enjoyed it. Great service. Huge place for big groups. Open early and stay late (8am-2pm). Majority of their dishes are under $20 and cocktails under $10! How can you go wrong? This is a must try. They have 16 locations but this is a nice local spot in Scarborough. read more

Their food is great and the staff are super helpful. The braised beef pizza and the spinach dip are my favs but I've eaten many things from their menu and it is all good! read more

Service was slow and the food was just ok. First time going to a Gabby's and not sure if I would try them again. The service was really slow and it wasn't that busy. The place looks ok and the atmosphere is good. The food wasn't what it should have been. The couple we went with said they used to go before Covid and it was really good. I guess things have changed. I put a 3 star rating because it's was ok not bad. We had the Parmesan fries (just ok) , pizza and an omelette. The pizza was the best part of the meal. read more

First I want to say that we have had many great experiences at this Gabby's restaurant in the past, which is why we went there again today, but today's visit was dreadful. The place was COLD and we were given a table under ventilation blowing cold air instead of heat (at the end of November). That was just the the start. Our order was taken and drinks served in good time, but then we sat and waited...and waited...and waited--in the cold--for our food. I had ordered a breakfast sandwich (eggs and bacon and avocado) for $14.50, with a side of grilled tomato for $3.50 (these prices will be relevant later). When the meal finally arrived it came with 3 paper-thin slices of tomato on the side, the middles of which were mostly core, slightly blackened from the grill. The sandwich consisted of a leathery fried egg, a single slice of bacon artfully divided, another paper-thin slice of tomato whose middle was mostly core, and a minuscule blob of guacamole spread obviously around the outside edge, presumably so I would know it was there. I mentioned my disappointment with the ($3.50) grilled tomatoes to the server and she said she would bring some more. Which, granted, she did. Three more paper thin tomato slices blackened from the grill, brought to me when the rest of my meal was finished. (The server can't help how long it takes to cook, so thanks is due for her effort.) The next part is open to interpretation as either an unwitting mistake or some form of deliberate deception. Instead of charging for a $14.50 breakfast sandwich, the bill was made out for a $16.00 club sandwich. My husband didn't want to make a fuss, so he just paid. But in case anyone from the restaurant sees this, I just want it known that we noticed the error. We've had good experiences at this restaurant in the past. I hope today was a rare exception and not a sign of things to come. They need to get the heating fixed ASAP. I am sad to say that my husband and I will be avoiding this Gabby's in future, even though it was a place we once enjoyed. read more

Really enjoyed our time at Gabby's at this location. Those were the best wings in town! and the fries were incredibly crispy. Matt is the best bartender/server, very attentive, fast and great with suggestions on what to order! Thank you for the excellent service! read more

We ordered takeout from here to try as we didn't really feel like cooking. Food was ready when we got there and piping hot which is always great. Food: 2lbs of wings in spicy Thai sauce. Wings were quite good. They had a great crunch on the outside, moist inside, decently large. Comes with 2 carrot and 2 celery sticks and ranch dressing. We really enjoyed the wings. French toast and breakfast potatoes. The breakfast potatoes were awesome. Super crispy exterior and soft interior, decent seasoning. The toast was a bit of a letdown, just kind of tasted liked regular toast. Also, we asked for maple syrup and they didn't give us any. Steak fajita - the steak is cooked well though a bit tough. The fried veges were cooking well and had good flavor. The lettuce looked towards the wilting end but the tomatoes and cheese seemed fresh. The guacamole was great, salsa surprisingly lacked flavor. Comes with 4 small-medium tortilla wraps. Price: I will say this is a bit pricier than other pubs but the quality is pretty good. read more

My new found favourite place. It looks new so sitting there for a long time feels very comfortable. Seats close to the wall have cellphone charging USB port, that's a nice touch. I had fish and chips dinner portion the first time. It was pretty fresh and big 2 pieces, definitely filling. It was a special price with Moosehead beer, I really enjoyed it. Looking at the menu they have special almost daily, so far I've been there 3 times already, will go back again. read more

I usually avoid chain restaurants as there are so many dining options in the city to explore. However, I found myself at Gabby's due a a friend's request and enjoyed my time here. They have a large open space indoors and a sizable patio also. Service was good but let us chat as we liked. I had an order of onion rings while my partner had their special for the day: fish and chips. Both were well fried and delivered on it's expectation of crunchy goodness. I like that they have daily specials! read more

When i saw this was opening nearby, I was so excited! I used to go to another location frequently during school. So we decided to come in for an early lunch and so glad we did! The atmosphere is really cool! The layout is easy to navigate and the decor gives good vibes through-out. I loved the lights near the bar (I want to say it's a lit up Gabby's name but I'm not 100 on that). Our server was awesome and so friendly! She was attentive and was quick when we needed anything. The food was good! The Garlic Cheese bread was so soft and literally were so delicious! The Chicken fingers were just alright, nothing to write home about. When I come back I wouldn't order it again. My husband really enjoyed his brisket burger though to the point I didn't even get offered a bite. So it must of been good! We will certainly be back to try out more of the menu and just relax and have a few beers! read more

I ordered food for take out. food was great and so was customer service! Amelia was fantastic!

Went for dinner here with the fam. Good prices considering the restaurant landscape nowadays. Very good portions and the food was delicious. We had the steak sandwich with was perfectly cooked and tasty, the Cobb salad was amazingly fresh and tasty. The burgers were not overpriced, but overly very tasty. Also had the appetizer platter which was delicious as well. I would definitely go back. read more

I have to start with congratulating the staff that have been assembled here. I had made reservations for a Birthday Party for my Wife, her 40th. Between my emails and phone calls the reservation was confused between a Thursday and Friday. I take partial blame and the Manager accepted blame as well. But amazingly the incredible staff here went above and beyond to accommodate myself and the 11 + people that were on the way. All things considered the staff with only being at their respective jobs for only a week did an amazing job with our party. If there were questions the waitresses did what they could to get the answers as quick as they could. The bartenders did what they could to answer my difficult Whisky questions. I look forward to coming to this establishment more often to enjoy the wonderful meals and good drink selection that they assembled. My only suggestion would be to include some local craft brewery selections on the menu like Common Good or Muddy York. But I guess that would be a corporate decision and not on the local management team. I would like to give a special shout out to Anthony the Manager and Amanda our main Waitress. They went above and beyond the call and made our meal and my Wife's 40th extra special. I am so glad we have a Gabby's near us and look forward to spending much more time here. read more

First time eating here and went on Monday, half price wings. Went with some friends as they've been many times. We ordered 6 lbs of wings, 3 flavors for each 2 lbs. Honey garlic, Bold BBQ, and salt/pepper. All of the wings were a bit dry but the flavors were pretty good so would give it 3 stars. Service was very good as our server was attentive and helpful with recommending sauces. Overall, good experience and value of food. read more

It didn't look like what I ordered. Paid extra for ground beef quesadilla. It was thin beef strips with mozarella cheese. Quesadilla's usually come with cheddar cheese. There was tomato slices and green onions just thrown on top of the slices. Worst Quesadilla's I have ever tried. No taste. It was a BOGO promo through UBEREATS and wasted my money. UBEREATS didn't even reimburse my money. Had to throw it away. Super disappointed because it was the first time, Gabby's food was such a disappointment. If you're craving quesadilla's one night..DON'T ORDER FROM GABBY'S.!! read more

Came here on the 30th day of the month during the 30th anniversary of Gabby's. So what's the big deal(s) then? Well, order a 5 ounce glass of house red or white wine for $3.98 or a 30th appetizer platter for $7.89 today. Additionally, wings are half-priced on Monday and on Wednesday. My friend and I each ordered a single (9) wings, shared a platter and sipped on red wine. A delicious meal! Our server Justine was friendly and made our first dining experience at this new location terrific. read more

Tried out their wings and fries combo as they had a BOGO deal on uber eats. Was pleasantly surprised, the quantity for an order is more than enough to feed one person and they give plenty of fries. I tried the honey garlic flavour and it was kind of mediocre but the wings themselves were cooked well. I'd probably try a different flavour next time. So I wouldn't try to contact these guys with any concerns, they don't respond. Waste of time and not very good business practice. It's been a week and a few days and I've heard nothing back. The food was delicious, the service was horribly slow but friendly! My biggest concern here was the spacing between the tables and the lack of care from management regarding this issue when confronted about it. There was probably less than 3 feet between my table and the guests dinning on either side of us. Definitely not the recommended 6ft/2m. For this reason I'll be taking my business somewhere where the guidelines are taken seriously and safety is the priority not revenue. read more

We usually eat here or get take-out and the food and service used to be good. We came in to have dinner and it took a while for us to get seated. After the server gave us the menus, she never came back. We waited for 20 minutes but she kept on ignoring us. No one took our order. The place wasn't even full. We got up and left. Horrible customer service! Will never go back. She just made the restaurant lose a repeat customer. read more

I love coming to Gabby's the service is awesome and food amazing. Genti is a great server too

Good food, good service but they only have one high chair. The two times that I have been with my little ones someone else has been using the one and only high chair. I have been to few Gabby's. This one is the best so far. The restaurant is very clean and organized. Very nice patio during summer time. What surprised me the most is their food. I'd never expect a franchise sports bar have great food, but they do! Comparing this location to other sports bar, their food is decent. Their chicken wings is cooked perfectly! It's not dry and it's not under cooked. The calamari is good too. It's not rubbery and pretty flavourful.(I'd say it's better than a lot of real food restaurants). The burger tasted great. I'm happy with their food quality, ambiance and services. It's a great place to grab a quick bite or catch a game with drinks! read more

Good food and Nice ambiance. I will recommend it. Nice people working there. Timely delivery. They are open to criticism. And they did good.

This restaurant is poorly run by management. Customer service is horrible. One of there servers is so rude and lacks manners. The food there is poor quality....highly over priced for what they give you. They do not disinfect after each customer leaves. I would not recommend you WASTE YOUR MONEY on this place.
