Never again! Having had been there a few times, our last visit in 2022 clinched a boycott of this location. Only four customers in the restaurant and it took over an hour for three burgers. Server kept saying our order was next for 35 minutes. When my son went inside to see what the hold up was, two of the kitchen staff were yelling and cursing at each other very loudly. Kelsey's just launched their 'Build Your Own Burger' menu option, and it's pretty awesome! The bar area of Kelsey's has a great atmosphere, nice bar, lots of TV's. Service was excellent and so was the burger. Here are the toppings I had... - Ace bun - 2 patties - Bacon - Cheddar cheese - Onion rings - Potato hash brown - Egg - Caramelized onions - Tomato - Mayo - Lettuce - Thousand Island Dressing - Dusted Jalapeños - Chipotle ketchup For a chain restaurant they did an excellent job with all the burger topping options, and it really was a great burger. Their fries are great too, thicker 'fish n chips' style fry. Somehow I had room for dessert. Tried the Funnel Cake Fries.... WOW! Comes with vanilla ice cream and chose the caramel sauce. Today was not a good day at kelseys. There had to be 12 empty tables in place with no one waiting at the door and we were told a 20 minute wait. 20 minutes to wait for an already empty table? They turned us away and lost money. An empty table pays nothing you morons! I give every place I go the benefit of the doubt but to be told a 29 minute when there are large number of empty tables, no more. read more

Honestly if I could leave 0 star I would. When we stepped inside no one greeted us for a good 5 minutes. I ordered a truck stop burger and in the burger there was a rock?? My friend ordered a poutine and they said it was cold. I complained to the employee and he understood but when it came to splitting the bill he made me pay for half of my friends stuff and the 2 drinks we both had which ended up coming to the price of the burger. When we went to pay he asked us to leave a "thumbs up" will paying-to which I did not clearly. Absolutely terrible service. I definitely do not recommend this place at all. They've really improved their menu since I was there last. Some good choices! My grandma's shrimp pasta was huge with about a dozen shrimp. My dad chose the steak. It was cooked to order and seasoned well. I had the mushroom ravioli. The sauce was great, the pasta were full of yummy mushroom slices and there was goat cheese(the love of my life), so that selection was a no brainer. Came here again with a group of 30. I called in late Saturday, and they found a way to accommodate, which is great!! We ended up with 1 big table for the kids, and 4 booths for the adults. I ordered the Messy Fish sandwich. It looked good, tasted bland. Didnt really enjoy it. The service is good.... But, if you go in a group of 30 on a semi-busy night, then the food is going to come...SLOW. Very slow. i asked our server to bring don't wait until all the food is ready to serve, but to bring the kids meals first if possible, she explained that its going to take time to prep 30 meals. Ummm not really a good excuse, you are telling me if 15 couples came in, which equals 30 meals, that they would all wait excessive times because it takes time to prep 30 meals... Anyhow we were there pretty much 3hrs. We let the kids run around the place, and the staff did not say anything. So that was good. Next time, i probably will make 3 separate reservations, in order to get our meals faster. Do not go in a big group !!! I was going to take a star away, due to the SLOW meals, and the Messy Fish Sandwich, but i added it back on for the service, and nice staff, and the fact they let the kids run around and have fun. We had been coming to Kelseys for quite a few years on a fairly regular basis we were there last Sunday I was so totally disappointed in everything the meal was overpriced and the service wasn't that great I ordered half rack spareribs baked potato with coleslaw she asked if I wanted it loaded and I said yes she neglected to put any butter on it just a bit of sour cream about two flakes of bacon bits and green onion never came back to see if you wanted anything more so I could ask her for butter I've had the same meal my husband had steak by the way we find the same meal other restaurants for $15 less even with salad included very disappointed that this cost $67 everything was added charge. We won't be back that's too much for seniors to pay and that was without any drinks only tea read more

This was the first time we had been to this Kelsey's location. We were on our way back from a day trip and decided to stop in here for dinner. We don't go out very often, so we were looking forward to a nice meal out. We don't tend to eat at chain restaurants, but for several weeks in a row, the local paper had coupons for Kelsey's/Montana's promoting $10 off if you spent $30 and we had recently been given a restaurant gift card (good at multiple restaurants including Kelsey's) so we thought we'd give it a try. We got there around 7pm on a Tuesday and it was not very busy. There was nobody in the bar or at the front. We waited about 5 minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, the service was pretty good. The hostess/waitress was pleasant and took our order fairly quickly. Another waitress stopped by to ask for our drink order as well. It would have been nice if the servers mentioned the specials. Hubby ordered the Nachos and I ordered the Messy Fish Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries (an upgrade). The food was a bit slow arrive, but overall we were pretty happy with our choices. The Nachos had lots of jalapenos, chopped small so you get some in every bite. The chips were fresh. There was lots of flavourful cheese. The salsa was tasty. An added bonus would have been to chose different meat toppings than just ground beef (which was a bit sparse and kind of bland). The Messy Fish Sandwich did not disappoint. It is advertised as a "two-handed" sandwich and I'd have to say, there was enough fish to make two sandwiches. In fact, it was so big, I took one of the pieces of fish out and ate it separately. The fish was delicious. Nice and crispy on the outside and cooked just right. The sweet potato fries were also good, but I found the serving size to be a bit skimpy compared to the size of the giant sandwich. I'd have to say that was some of the best breaded fish I'd tasted in a while - delicious! The restaurant decor was nice and the washrooms were clean and tidy. Overall the service was okay. The staff were all very pleasant. We paid for our bill with a gift card, and the server returned and let us know what our balance was and then left. This caught us a bit off guard, scrambling to find cash to pay a tip, when we had planned to pay that with the gift card as well. In other restaurants, they've usually come over with the portable payment terminal and let us add the tip before finalizing the bill. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice if she'd asked us. We'd return to this location again and recommend it to others. read more

My favourite restaurant! Good variety on the menu, tv's in bar area, never mess up my order, friendly and personable staff, regular staff know who I am. My favourite things to order are spinach dip, broccoli cheddar soup, and the balsamic chicken dish. (Better than Whitby location) read more

My friends, after having a bad experience in Kakemono sushi tonight, We went to this place to enjoy Spinach dip and some win. The servant was a very great person with a very nice smile at her face, but at the end the cashier tried to rip us two times. He tried to over charge us two times and he apologized after he tried to over charge us. He was sorry at the end after I told him that you overcharged me two times. Many people does not check there bills and they directly pay the bill. FYI, this place would not be a trusted place unless you fully check your bill one by one. Food was good. read more

Went for my daughters b-day with her friends. SUCKED. Where to start......first 3 meals brought by another server asked for refills on the kids drinks never came. Next 2 mains arrived were cold. Politely waited 7 minutes to get noticed, told one server who must of told ours who arrived approximately 2 minutes later. Took those mains and after 6 minutes 2 more were brought by manager who said she would check on us in a minute after serving. Meanwhile asked for drinks a second time, yes service was brutal.............drinks finally brought. Manager never followed up with us as promised.......typical Kelsey's. I haven't been to this Kelsey's all that many times, but I have a positive impression of this place after a Thursday night where we got there pretty late, and we could tell the manager wanted to shut down and go home, but he was cool about it and hung out with us for a bit, and we had a good time finishing our drinks and snacks. read more

On Monday August 28th we stopped by for lunch our first visit - NOT a great experience just as I was saying how long the food was taking the server came to our table informing me they were OUT OF FRIES . . most of their menu has "chip truck fries" I asked for a menu and couldn't decide the server told me the fish was ready . . . apparently sitting there waiting for me to make a baked potatoe decision the fish coating was VERY crispy. To start off the lunch from hell... We walked in at 11:45, not a soul in sight. After standing there for 5-10 minutes waiting to be seated. One of the members in our party had to go to the kitchen door and ask for someone to come seat us. The waitress apologized making an excuse that we were the first people she had seen in 45 minutes, she had gotten distracted in the back. Okay, you have one job.. Second issue of the meal, my mom ordered a Sprite. When she got it, it had no syrup in it and tasted awful. When asked the waitress replaced it with a proper Sprite. The third issue, I got a pasta bowl. 3 bites into my meal I found a hair, as I pulled it out it was actually a large tangled clump of hair. We promptly called over the waitress and she took the plate to the back. The manager came out apologized and asked if I'd like anything else. At the time and still as I write this I have a knot in my stomach from the thought of this clump. I refused anymore food due to the thought of the kitchen not noticing this. The meal from wait I tasted was good. The fourth issue was my mom ordered chicken Parmesan and the breaded chicken was so burnt it was inedible. Once they were all done eating the manager came out again blamed the whole situation on either the spinach bag for my hair clump and the new cooks they just hired. He comped my meal & my moms meal. However we still paid for our drinks. I guess we had to pay for something since everything else was so awful. Needless to say we won't be returning. Wasn't overly impressed with the food. Service was average, not spectacular but not bad either. Came in with my wife for a quick bite and a drink after a busy Saturday. Its currently 6 pm and its not busy at all. Warning #1. Sat on the patio with 3 other tables that were already eating. Ordered the Mozzarella Bread and 2 orders of wings, one spicy thai and the other Medium with a Sangeria and Margarita. Got the drinks really quick. Warning #2 - bar isnt busy at all. Drinks were ok but seems light of the "drink" part and heavy on the mix part. Got the Mozzarella Bread and wanted to laugh. Out popped a bread stick with clumps of melted cheese and a couple small pieces of tomato. Not worth the $8 i had to pay for it. Got the wings and instantly noticed something off. Ordered the 10 wings and received 9 each. Asked for waitress to return which she eventually did and pointed out the error. At which point she said she would have the cooks do 1 more wing each. Ok.... most restaurants would give the extra and comp a portion of the meal. Not this time sunshine!!! Had to wait for the one extra wing each and yhen pay and left. Not the most notable impression they left at this point. Seemed like we were being processed and she could not wait to leave. Probably wont be returning. read more
