Chicken Wings and friends alongside with dipping sauce
Muhammad R.

- I go there every now and then and always order chicken wings and lemonade. I always love it, best tasting wings I've tried so far - Service is fast and very friendly. They always check up on you making sure if we're good. - Ambience is very nice. Very welcoming

Solid place for food, drinks, service at decent value. This bar style restaurant has lots of tvs and even individual tvs at the booths, a good sized menu, a huge drink menu and very good pricing especially with their specials nights. We happened to be there on a Monday night for 30% off appetizers. We got fries with gravy, beef sliders, dry ribs, and two lbs wings. Everything was tasty. The gravy was nice and hot but not too salty. It was liquify and could be a bit thicker but this way you can eat a lot without feeling gross. The sliders were delicious with a tasty sauce and comes in three. Honestly they were pretty big for sliders so can definitely be a meal on its by own. The dry ribs were tasty and fun to eat. They aren't the fatty bbq rib style but bone-y ribs so the texture is different and you get to choose your own sauce. We did garlic parm and found the flavour quite light. The wings were good but on the smaller side when unbreaded. Service was friendly and drinks were good. We initially got one drink that tasted funny but we checked with the staff and they remade it and it was tasty so if something isn't right, just check with them. They're very friendly and service was relatively quick. We enjoyed this place and look forward to trying more of their menu.

Wings to go with a coupon

I have visited before but somehow didn't review? Alright, here we go; we ended up here because One-Eyed Jack failed SO badly (see review) and I'm happy it turned out the way it did. Wings to go were what we were looking for and Hardy John's satisfied...not only did we get 25% off our lunch order but we received coupons for 25% off our next visit and you can count on there being a next visit. Friendly and welcoming staff and our order delivered to our vehicle Delicious plump juicy wings cooked to perfection! Yum This is how you stay in business

Went on a Friday night. Lots of seating, attentive staff, and great prices. I felt like this was more for people in their 20s, music was a bit loud for this gal in her 30s, maybe I'm just old now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Smoked salmon, avocado, and tomato salad with caprese, beautifully prepared and seasoned for $13.95!!!!

We stopped in Oshawa for dinner after being delayed by a nearby accident and chose Portly Piper Pub…read morebased on its 3,000+ reviews and 4.3-star rating. Parking seemed limited at first, but there's more available in the back. Just a tip: be careful not to miss the entrance, since exiting is a one-way street and re-entering can be tricky. We arrived around 6:45 pm and saw a small line with two groups ahead, but the place is much bigger than it looks from the outside and we were seated quickly in a comfortable booth for four. The pub was clean, and I was especially surprised at how spacious and tidy the washrooms were--not what I usually expect from a pub, which tend to feel older and worn. The menu is huge, and TVs are everywhere--even in our booth. Between us, we tried a good range of dishes: 1. Caprese Salad with Steak - nicely balanced with pesto, though the steak was a little dry. 2. Fish and Chips - incredible portion for $18! Crispy, perfectly cooked fish with fries, coleslaw, and even a Caesar salad. The fries were well-seasoned (no ketchup needed), coleslaw was enjoyable despite me usually not liking it, and the Caesar was delicious. 3. Mexican Salad - flavorful, fresh, and generous in portion. 4. Tuesday Wing Special - wings were $0.90 each, so I ordered 15 with a Coke Zero. The garlic Parmesan was disappointing--dry and lacking flavor--but the Buffalo ranch wings were tender and spot-on. Service was friendly, though our waitress could have been more proactive with drink and water refills. Overall, I was impressed. Clean space, huge portions, good value, and a welcoming pub atmosphere. Definitely a solid stop if you're in the area.

Loved this local sports bar/pub restaurant. It's spacious - with dining booth seating at the back,…read morehigh bar seating in the front, and a patio! When we went for dinner, it was pretty busy with lots of locals and families. Despite this, the service was great and they got our dishes served in really good time. Also, the portions and pricing is PHENOMENAL - like a seafood or steak main dish for $28-$37?? Amazing. For the 2 of us, we were very hungry so we ordered an EVERYTHING GRILLED PLATTER and GRILLED VEGETABLE & GOAT CHEESE SALAD to share. There was definitely enough food for us. The platter had a good variety of meats. The shrimp and crispy but airy light tater tots were my favourite. The quality of the meats for the steak, chicken, lamb skewers & grilled squid were definitely mediocre and a bit rubber, but still cooked & seasoned well. The salad was overall satisfactory too!

My friend and I endured our local dive for years as it declined before it shut down (finally). Now that it has been replaced with this gem, I will be stopping by much more often! The South end never looked (or tasted) so good! Prices are very reasonable and they have some amazing deals like $10 pint and pound and $10 pasta and pint. Check out the menu in my photos. They have a decent draught beer selection and mixed drinks were well made. Our server was absolutely lovely and she let us know all about the new owners and the chef who seems to take pride in his creations. They only use fresh food (never frozen). I had the veal scallopini with mushroom wine sauce and pasta. It was very good! The pasta sauce needed some salt and pepper, but I'm super picky about my pasta sauce. I over spice mine to death! I also had a caesar and a couple of "white freezies" which tasted as good as they sound. The atmosphere is great! Huge booths, beautiful bar, lots of TVs so you can catch the game, a pool table in the back with a digital jukebox and cool colour changing rope lights on the patio. Can't wait to sit out there when the weather is nicer! They even had live music. The washroom is basically still the same boring Park Place washroom with a few small updates, but I'm not there for the washroom atmosphere. Go check this place out!

The one thing we were shocked about was the quality of the food. We were short on time so I had a steak Caesar salad and my wife had the Cobb salad. Both looked appealing and the portion size was large. My steak was cooked properly and the salad was great. Low expectations in terms of food but we were blown away.

The waitress did the bare minimum except to look pissed when I didn't order a pre- dinner drink. Drinks - a supposed nine-oz. glass of wine somehow magically fit into a five-oz. glass with room left over. When my wife looked at it, she said to the waitress "I ordered the nine-oz. size". The response from the waitress was "that is a nine oz.". So the place is charging $12.50 for a nine oz. glass, but only giving half that. Good money maker. And for a place that calls itself a full restaurant - only two wines by the glass, both cheap, under $15 a bottle wines? The food - bland, badly cooked. My sirloin was tough and chewy, the fries overcooked and burnt. My wife had chicken strips, but it took a lot of looking to find the little bit of chicken wrapped in all those bread crumbs. We skipped the dessert - by that time we just wanted to get out of there.
