I saw their signature Bellini (heard that it is frozen mix of rum, peach liqueur and sparkling white wine, topped with sangria) in some advertisement. It looked good, and this restaurant is close to home, and that it is in the weekend happy hour menu. So, we decided to give it a try. While Bellini's presentation was good, I found it too sweet, and I did not feel my desired booziness. Disappointed. I also ordered Mojito (2oz) - the presentation was not sophisticated, the mint was withered. Finally, I tried Caeser(2oz)- They have 3 different Caesars, and I chose Mango one as it sounded unique. Again- presentation was artless and watery. For snack - we had Avocado Feta dip. This one was good. Avocado was fresh and the corn chips tasted fresh and crispy. The size was generous. But the presentation was not impressive. Beer menu is limited. We concluded that, their weekend happy hour is a good idea. We are here around 3pm and the place was busy! But we will not come to this restaurant other than happy hours. The quality of drink (other than wine- which we did not try) is regular pub level. read more

We went last evening to the Milestones location in Whitby Usually it's okay for service but tonight was terrible Where to start Me and my best friend had ordered Cauliflower bites ....we chose the Korean BBQ flavoured bites We also ordered drinks prior to ordering the food and we had to remind the waitress to bring our drinks after she only brought water When our appy came it was the wrong flavour....it was Cauliflower Parmesan bites which we did try but the flavour was horrible so we sent it back and asked for our original order The food came before we received our appy When we got the appy, the bites were drenched in the Korean bbq sauce and were inedible so we sent those back Additionally with my meal that I ordered....a sweet chili chicken bowl....the chicken was clumped together and definitely inedible We also noticed our waitress was spending a lot of time at the table behind us and rarely checked on us....even though it was not busy Our waitress did not ask if we wanted another appy option or to be comped from our bill When our bill arrived the cauliflower bites were on the bill but I didn't look at the bill and paid as the waitress was standing there waiting for me to pay I needed change so when she brought back the change she didn't bring back the bill to see if the bites were removed so I asked her to bring the bill back She brought the bill back and left We decided to go to the hostess on our way out to ask for our money back for the appy we never ate She got her manager and her manager took care of this which was appreciated This is definitely disappointing as this was the worst service we have had at a Milestones location and I likely will not come back here read more

This was my first time at this location but I have always enjoyed Milestones for a nice gathering with friends or family and used to go to their Markham and Scarborough locations. The vibe was great, it's lively and fun and perfect for a social gathering or a date night. In fact they have date night specials on Wed! I tried their mushroom pasta, their steak, and also their cauliflower bites. All of which were really tasty and done well. Looking forward to going back and trying other menu items. Except I really want to eat the mushroom pasta and steak again. Seriously, this place will cause you to spend way too much time deciding what to eat because everything looks delicious. What's not to love about Milestones? The food and service are consistently great at all the locations I've been to. The menu always has something for everyone, and dishes are customizable based on preferences and/or dietary restrictions. They're portioned "just right", and always taste delicious. Really enjoy eating lunch with my in-laws at the Oshawa location. Food is always hot and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Service was average. Our server forgot to give us waters and tried convincing an underage teen at our table to order a non-alcoholic cocktail when she only wanted water. Other than that the waitress was very enthusiastic. Food was mediocre as expected at a chain restaurant. There was too much garlic in my Caesar as you can probably see from the photo. Great service and yummy food at the Whitby location. My party of 8 comes with particular food preferences and allergies but our server was amazing!!! We ordered beet salad, French onion soup and Caesar salad as appetizers. Mains included crispy spicy chicken, burger, tacos, noodle bowl and steak and everyone loved it. So disappointed in our visit. Just came in for drinks and appetizers. Our waitress was absolutely horrible. Another waitress saw us sitting there for over 10 minutes so she took our order. Our drink order came wine was in a carafe but no wine glass Our actual waitress was supposed to bring water and never came back! Loved their bruschetta- quality: appears a touch better than most box restaurant chains. Swiss mushroom burger was surprisingly tasty for a burger. Pasta dish was also tasty & well presented. It's a chain, so you're going to get the typical box-store-restaurant experience. But at least this version is above average. The service is very friendly, and other than being slow to refill drinks, is more than efficient. If you avoid alcohol the bill will be quite reasonable. The food is good, I had an amazing burger and went for the "Mayan" option which includes an avocado relish topping. Worth the extra money. The fries are ok, but tend towards the disappointing side rather than the wow-factor. Too oily and not soggy in a good way like you would find in an English chip-shop. read more

For date night we came here to enjoy a lovely dinner. The staff is amazing and friendly and hands on... the food i ordered rustic chicken sandwich ... the brie is amazing on it! I am so full and still have food to take home! We will be back and I am certainly a happy customer! We even had 2 servers making sure we were happy... a date night for the books! My date has a gluten allergy and our server went out of his way to make sure that everything was in order so that they weren't going to have a reaction. Gluten free options are amazing. read more

Against my better judgement, when my boyfriend decided he wanted to try Milestones for dinner, I went along with it. I had an absolutely horrible experience at the Scarborough location (not once, but TWICE), but I figured it could just be that location and figured I'd give it a try. We came in on a Tuesday night and it wasn't very busy so we were sat in a booth right away, a little too close to the door for my liking, but what can you do ;) Our server came by and took a drink order while we poked around at the menu. I wasn't really sure what I felt like and I think my bf was a little unsure of the menu but eventually we figured it out - he ordered the lamb and a caesar salad to start and I ordered the scallops main. Our server brought out the caesar first and since I can't resist caesar I fully stole some - and HOLY GARLIC. Wow... thank god both of us had some or I wouldn't have been able to go near him later that night. So much garlic that I had a few bites and didn't want anymore. When our server came to pick up the mostly empty bowl, we commented on how overly garlicky it was and he just said 'oh yeah our caesar is really garlicky' and walked away. I'm sorry but when the garlic BURNS the the tip of your tongue (that unpleasant garlic burn) that's TOO MUCH garlic. My main arrived, scallops on a bed of jasmine rice with curry and some veggies and it was pretty good. It wasn't fantastical but it was good. I think I was expecting bigger and better quality scallops. Given, I had at least 6 or more on my plate, but for that kind of dish, with the presentation they had, I would have preferred 3/4 larger scallops with the dish. I don't know that I'd order it again though, it just didn't rock my boat. The lamb didn't look all that wonderful when it arrived. Our server had gone on about how it was Canadian lamb and that made the taste different - my boyfriend didn't comment on that- but we both were expecting a chop, not a piece of loin. Perhaps its specified on the menu but I know he was really disappointed in his dinner and frankly, looking at his plate, I was too. A few notes about the service here: when your customers comment that there's something excessive about the taste of a dish (to a fault), don't just brush it off. This is one of my biggest pet peeves with the entire Milestones franchise. You're happy to charge us prices for premium food (which I have no problem paying) but when I bring up a concern, your servers don't give a crap about it. Poor service that will keep me from ever going back to a Milestones and should keep you (the reader) away as well. As well, while our server seemed friendly at the beginning, he seemed to be forcing it, and I've seen that before with Milestones. I don't like it when people try to fake conversation or be friendly with me when they don't want to. He also seemed insanely distracted, whenever we were speaking to him, he was checking out his other tables. Overall, for over $70 for the two of us, the experience and the food wasn't worth it. I would have been happier going to a lower end restaurant that I know I'll get good food at and paying a fraction of the price for it. It was a nice meal for a date, good atmosphere and whatnot, but the whole experience was seriously lacking, especially on the food - and I came there to eat, I won't be going back. Take your money to the Keg for a great meal or head on over to Montanas or Jack's for some good food at reasonable prices. read more

I was worried it would be light on the "surf" part, but was pleasantly surprised by large pieces of lobster in the mashed potatoes and very creamy lobster sauce with more lobster meat. read more

We weren't overly impressed when we went here last week. The food was pretty blah. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about and we expected more with the overall feel of the restaurant. Service was nice, but I had requested no nuts on my ravioli and it came with them. The restaurant had a nicer/upscale feel but there were a ton of dead flies in the window sill where we sat which was gross. The menu was pretty small and while there were a couple vegetarian options, it wasn't the best selection. Not the worst experience ever, but we don't plan on returning. read more

What a great experience at this location! I usually don't like chains, but this dinner was fantastic! Our server was so friendly and attentive, gave us wine and food suggestions. The shrimp and salmon salad I ordered didn't match the description in the menu. It advertises grilled pineapple and avocado and I couldn't find any in the salad. To make the situation worse the salmon was very undercooked. The waiter was friendly but didn't correct the problem with the food even after I sent it back and a new one was cooked the exact same way, although they did add some pieces of avocado. I would like to start off by saying that my wife and I have eaten at Milestones a number of times and have come away with a very positive impression of the service, food atmosphere etc... This last time was different and I wont be back due to this. We showed up @ 6:30pm figuring that it may not be busy and wouldn't have to wait long for a table. We were told we would have a 60 minute wait so we decided to take the pager and go the bar and have a drink and wait. We had an appetizer (it was very good) and a drink and we noticed that time had slipped by and it was nearly 1.5 hours later. Our waitress who was fantastic went to the front desk on our behalf and found out that we were 2 people away from being seated. I grumbled and accepted this against my better judgment, normally I would have walked out and not come back. During our wait we talked to the people next to us who told us that although Milestones doesn't accept reservations you can call ahead and have your name put on the wait list - too bad no one told us about this. Very shortly after these people who had only been seated for about 30 minutes got a call for their table and left. I then noticed several other people were called before us but had come in after us. By the time we were called for our table it was nearing 2 hours. By the time we had ordered and received our food it was over 2.5 hours and about 3 hours by the time I finished gobbling my food down and left. We complained to the waitress about the wait at just short of 2.5 hours and I told her I was 5 minutes away from leaving. My food showed up very quickly there after. The manager was told about the situation and didn't bother to come over to talk to us about the situation. The assistant manager came over and was very apologetic and tried hard to resolve the situation but I informed him he has a serious issue regarding the call ahead policy which isn't widely known but also with the front desk as I think they lost us in the shuffle and seated a lot of people who came in after us before we were seated. In short I won't coming back again due to the issues regardless of what he did. To make the long story short, Milestones has good food and some good people working there but the managers indifference to our complaints and the unpublished policy which gives special treatment to people who know about it means I wont be back to any Milestones ever. This is unfortunate as i live in Durham which as anyone who lives here can tell you is a wasteland when it comes to fine dining. This means that I've lost a decent restaurant which served good food and generally treated their customers well which is difficult to find in the region. This is also unfortunate for Milestones as I plan on posting this feedback as much as I can so other people are aware of the unspoken policy. read more

In celebration of my Aunts 90th Birthday we all met at Milestones in Whitby., I have to say the staff were all friendly and service was great. We started off with calamari and various dips while we chatted and had a few drinks. What to order so much to choose from on the menu. I had a Caesar salad and spicy Thai rolls. Had dinner here last week. The calamari dish has changed. No andouille sauce. Greasy calamari. No coke, only Pepsi. Rum and coke is not the same as rum and fountain Pepsi. My husband and I have been coming to Milestone's for years - it's where we have celebrated our anniversary for the past 10 years. Tonight we came for a date night. Our first turn off was the sign outside the restaurant had two of the letters burnt out. For a restaurant of Milestones calibre I thought that was in poor taste. The restaurant was not even half full which seemed odd for a Saturday night at 8:30 - another bad sign. My husband and I both settled on the Prime Rib only to be told it was sold out. The service was ridiculously slow. Every single course took way too long to come out - especially dessert. The kicker was the Chocolate Ganache Torte which has been my fav dessert here for years. They changed the crust and the caramel sauce and its just not the same - I didn't enjoy it. Unfortunately this is my second consecutive bad experience at this location. I think we'll be looking for somewhere else to celebrate our anniversary this year!! read more

Worst Prime Rib I ever had, had so much fat that it was uneatable. When speaking to manager his response was I'll have to check with the farmers. WTF was that. Ben Adams the Whitby manager should not only learn how to deal with customer ( especially Seniors). Was with a group of 8 and everybody agrees not to return. We tried to get a reservation and they told us the manager said no 'cause we were a larger party - 5?? - restaurant was 2/3 full and they sat us in the bar. Our server was great. Ordered the Thai curry chicken and the server said it wasn't up to standards and ask the kitchen to make another. When it arrived it was still not good. Not a lot of chicken, starchy rice and general lack of flavour. My son had the steak and also said it was bland. Although the menu items are not my favourite foods I am always extremely pleased with whatever I eat here, never have I disliked anything. The reason i give it five stars is the atmosphere and the waiters. Amazing service. I had heartburn aT the table from the regrettable decision of eating Pizza Hut for lunch, and my waiter overheard me tell my friend and brought me something for it and continued to come back and check up on me. I didn't think heartburn was too big a deal, but I was Super impressed with the attention to detail and also engaging conversations that they always make with you. Makes you feel like you're not just another person who's leaving a tip. Definitely one of my favourite spots! read more
