I was going to describe this restaurant as a massive waste of money but, due to all the issues with our meal our dinner for two adults and three children was free. We ordered a Gangstar Mac and cheese, a kids Mac and cheese, a kids spaghetti, a grilled cheese with apple and cranberry and a Mac and Cheese with bbq chicken. Here is our experience:
We ordered at 640, at 730 we asked if the kids meals could come out soon even if the adult weren't ready. 10 minutes later three grilled cheese sandwiches were delivered. We sent the two that were incorrect back. The one person at our table with food tried to wait but her sandwich got cold, so we told her to go ahead.
It was the cranberry grilled cheese that arrived. The cheese was good but not fresh grated cheese and they add and grilled some cheese on the outside too like I do mine, but... the Italian bread is the cheap grocery store D'italiano sliced bread anyone can buy. The cranberry's were Craison's (maybe 10 of them on the whole sandwich) and the baked apples were so thinly sliced you could nearly see through them. There was such small quantity you couldn't taste them. Since D'Italiano bread is small per slice the sandwich was gone by the time the next three meals came 20 minutes after it had arrived.
Yes that's right, we had now been here for 70 minutes yet the reordered food only took 20 minutes. 50 minutes to get it wrong, 20 to do it right. Our last meal came 10 minutes after that.
The spaghetti was okay, average at best. The kids Mac and cheese and the gangster Mac and cheese the same just different portions. We watched before our order came out as the chef ran from the storage room to the kitchen carrying No Name brand macaroni noodles, so they were nothing special. The Mac itself was just cheese covered noodles, not creamy or baked, just noodles with cheese on them that even when we stirred it just was greasy melted cheese. Literally nothing added to make them special or restaurant quality. In fact I'm positive they made it this way as it's how I taught my daughter to make it when she was a child so she'd not eat Kraft Dinner.
The BBQ chicken Mac and cheese was the same base Mac and cheese with store bought fried chicken cut into pieces with store bought sauce. The chicken tasted the same as Pizza Novas bbq boneless wings.
Our conclusion, very kind staff, our waitress though she had a hard time getting our order and we got the wrong things was polite and trying to work fast. The manager was very courteous and apologetic. Our dinner that took 70 minutes to arrive in full was something we could have easily made ourselves for all of us in less that 20 minutes - No Name macaroni takes 6 minutes to get to al dente.
The last mistake. Our waitress offered the kids vanilla ice cream and vanilla mousse - two were intrigued by mousse and wanted to try. Moose Track ice cream arrived ten minutes later. read more
