Karaoke Friday night at 9:30! Whoop whoop! I was informed the guy was filling in and it may have been why there was a bit of a slow start to the jams. The app, well, the app, think of it more as a karaoke catalog and not a way to avoid using paper slips. He indicated that the app couldn't find my son, although I made my selection and he was also unable to receive tips through the app. I came in to Karaoke (duh) but also to celebrate my upcoming birthday with friends from "back home". Our server was amazing as I am usually a bit scattered and amped up. She kept the drinks full and tended to our table beautifully. They offer a zero alcohol beer for the bud that doesn't drink. Shirley temples the old fashioned way before I decided to start loosening up with some Gin and Tonics. Other bud had a plate of fries before their kitchen closed at 11pm. She was kind enough to inform us the kitchen was closing in case we wanted anything before they did. Winning Would I go back? Absolutely. read more

They brought out margaritas that were made with daiquiri mix. They were syrupy. They were not drunk by 4 out of 6 patrons and they took them back. Everyone ordered something else. I added water and another shot of liquor to make it tolerable. The bartender brought out a complimentary shot of something that we did not ask for and apologized for not having a blender. Come to find out they took the the drinks back that were not drunk and still CHARGED THEM ALL for them. That by far was the worst experience and given that the waitress was by herself the rest of the party just paid the bills. I don't understand why if the drinks were not drank at all and there was an issue that they could not be take off the bill. The food was okay. Glasses were dirty brought out. The service was slow. The waitress was the only one serving everyone in the bar so I get the slow service. She was very friendly. Here visiting and I'd never come back this way. It would have been easy to take the drinks off the bill since they were not drank. The coming to the table with unsolicited complimentary shots was weird with the drinks still on the bill. read more

I was greeted by Sarah upon entering and as part of the provincial reopening Covid-19 protocols I had to supply my contact info. With the sun still warming the patio at the side of this O'Connor Drive facing bar and grill, I chose to bask viewing the sunset. It's half-priced wings today so it was 2lbs of Cajun wings $11.95 and a half-jug of Aleksander Keith's $7.95 for me. In summary, a patio dinner with cold beer, large flavourful juicy delicious wings, piped music overhead (...a song called Drive by The Cars) and great friendly service by Sarah! Another late review! Came here for a Raptors game as apparently it's not well known enough to get packed up - which is why we got a table when Rally's was slammed. It's in a little plaza, unassuming, a few parking spots. This is what I think when you wonder where your grandfather has disappeared to for a few hours...lol. It seems like that type of bar. It's run by brothers and they are super friendly. Our server was really nice. The beer selection is limited, but they have cheap house beer...so I guess you can't really go wrong there. We were in the area and wanted something to eat and stopped in. We were expecting traditional pub fare and was delighted to so much more. He had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the back and chicken penne. Both were very delicious. There was a nice bit to the penne and he really enjoyed his spaghetti. Let's get bar rescue to the building. 6 of us went here. We ordered strawberry margaritas. It tasted more like kool aid. The mix used was extremely thick and sugary. They informed us that use the same mix as the daiquiris and margaritas. The glasses were dirty. The first waitress never brought menus or brought back water. The second waitress was more personable. However, she informed us that the manager said that they wouldn't be taking the drinks off of our bill. I had one sip and stopped because it was disgusting. I ordered a bacon cheese burger and fries. They ran out of burgers so one person from the party had to switch orders last minute. Her chicken was over cooked. The manager never came to our table. The waitress did bring us a shot on the house but much cheaper than the actual drink. We ordered many drinks afterwards. The waitress was nice. It was karaoke night so it was decent crowd. But the food quality and service doesn't meet my expectations so I wouldn't recommend. read more

This gets a 3.5/5 stars. We were looking for a local pub in the area. This is a local spot that has decent food and awesome service. The owners are super friendly brothers and the staff are great. They always welcome you with a friendly smile and great service. The owners make a point to come out and say hi and check in to make sure that their customers are happy. If you want cheap beer be sure to order the $5 house beer. Wednesday chili tacos with all the fixings is the best deal. The portion size is huge. Definitely enough for 2 people or 1 if you are super hungry. If you are in the mood for seafood. The seafood pasta is good, and comes with tons of mussels, shrimp, and calamari. If you are looking for generous portions and decent food without breaking the bank, this is the place to be at. There are a lot of local and repeat customers. The best steak sandwich I have had in years! They are fast and the prices are reasonable. Tons of parking and a very clean restaurant.

My family will not return even though the place is just a block away. The nachos were very stale with minimal toppings. It was supposed to be 1/2 price wing day, but the waitress didn't bother to mention that this does not apply to the wing/fry combo - if she had, we could have ordered wings and fries separately to get the deal. Apparently she couldn't be bothered to mention this detail. The wings were small and dry anyway. Service took a long time and the waitress was far from friendly, speaking with unnecessary rudeness to my son who dared to tip his chair back slightly while seated on the patio (tables not clean although there were only a couple of other customers). Ended up being a very expensive meal for poor quality food and service. Extremely disappointed - I feel the waitress ripped us off. read more

Great service and really delicious pub fare. It is a nice atmosphere that is bright and clean. The wedge fries with Parmesan cheese were so good- and they were piping hot when they were brought to the table. My chicken fingers were perfectly crisp and did not disappoint. My French fries, however, sadly came out cold. The waitress was very attentive and brought us many sauces and was on top of refills without us having to ask. This was a great find in the east end! Before Covid-19, I would have given a 4 star rating, however, today Sept 26, 2020, 6 months into the pandemic, I cannot give anymore than the lowest rating. I've been trying to support local business, but I don't like throwing my money away. The quality certainly was not the same with the hamburger and the soggy bun (they used to serve it on a brioche bun. Then the rushed job with something as simple as French fries, shows that you just don't give a s%$t. French fries should be deep fried and crisp. I'm suspicious these were microwaved...limp and pale. Excellent garlic shrimp; not over-cooked and tasty without being salty. Brochette is crisp with refreshing toppings. Salads crisp and fresh. Spaghetti is a huge portion with much more sauce than I like; meatballs are bite sized and have a lot of breadcrumbs in them. Grilled chicken breast is not pre-packaged pub fair, it's a full chicken breast with lemony grilled flavour. The clubhouse has grilled chicken breast, not slices of deli-style chicken, and is well-assembled. The fries are previously frozen but cooked well so they are crisp and they arrived hot. read more
