    Taking a brunch break in #PortCredit from #Toronto @PumpHouseGrillCo

After a morning ride to Port CREDIT, stopped by this gem shortly after we left another restaurant down the street. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great customer service, friendly staff and the food was simply delicious! Thank you @veronicac for your service! She over exceeded our expectations #PumpHouseGrilleCo #CanadaDayLongWknd2K22

After Gord and I left Snug Harbour, we walked along Lakeshore Road and decided to check out The Pump House. It was packed so we sat at the bar (we usually sit at the bar anyway unless we're eating anyway). The bar is big and round and in the middle of the room. It's a big place ... there's a room on the side that was full too. The bartender took good care of us. There were TVs above the bar and we had fun watching some lumberjack competitions and cheering on the competitors. There were always people coming and going so it seems like a popular spot. We didn't eat there but the food looked liked typical pub grub. I was impressed with the bathrooms. The doors were very nice and the walls between the stalls were the same frosted glass. You could see through them but not really. I'd stop back the next time I'm in Port Credit ... there was a good vibe.

French Dip and Pump House Club ! Great Choice !

Whenever we visited Canada, we usually went to Niagara Falls. This time we decided to visit Port Credit which is right on Lake Ontario. There are several walking trails right along the lake. Spectacular scenery with waves crashing! Based on previous reviews , we decided to eat at the Pump House Grill in the heart of the city. I had the French Dip and my wife had the Pub House Club . The meals were incredible and prices very fair. Our server Lisa was excellent. In addition to the great service , she gave us ideas of boutique shops and walking trails that helped make our trip very memorable! We certainly will come back to the Pump House Grill. ( And ask for Lisa !)

Very nice selection of breakfast items including 10 different egg dishes! Quick, friendly, courteous service by smiling servers. Old English pub ambiance.

Louisiana Salad - baby spinach, tossed in honey Dijon dressing with blackened tiger shrimp, chicken, bacon, tomatoes + red onion

Through all my Port Credit travels (and for those who've followed my reviews over the past couple of years, you know there have been many PC travels) I've ventured into The Pump House Grille on several occasions. Surprisingly enough this was the first time I had ever actually eaten a meal here. The PHG is a cool spot in terms of looks, a perfectly circular center bar servicing a small-ish restaurant and bar area. With a new expansion taking over a neighbouring area and a recently expanded and fenced off patio space, the coming summer at the Pump House promises to be a good one. This is definitely a good local watering hole offering good beer and basic bar drinks (vodka, gin, rye, rum, etc + mix). They also have a weekly Martini special, so I'm hoping that this is an initial forray in to cocktails because if they started doing old school craft cocktails I might become a regular myself! For my first PHGC meal I went for the Louisiana Salad - baby spinach, tossed in honey Dijon dressing with blackened tiger shrimp, chicken, bacon, tomatoes + red onion. A hefty portion of fresh salad and toppings and the dressing was light and deliciousBUT the chicken and shrimp were so over blackened that I couldn't finish it as it was far too salty. I'd still return here because I think they have some other amazing items on the menu by the looks of it that I just haven't tried yet. I'll happily adjust this review ocne I have more to base it on, until then, this place stands as A-OK in my books. Until next time... Eatcrest Out!

Thursday afternoon . I ordered a cup pea soup it was very good I have to give the soup 5 stars. Next it was the pump house burger with fries the fries we're perfect . But the burger was dry. Under seasoned . I will not order that again. Service was not that great had to wait for napkins , water refills where never done.

I have heard good things about Pump House Grille from a few people, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try on Friday night. It was cold and rainy, but still very busy with the NBA playoffs happening. We walked in at 6:30 PM without a reservation, but we waited only about 15 minutes before we were seated. I did not expect to see a bigger, roomier, and nicer dining area in the back. The service was good, the staff were polite. There are also quite a few TVs, and it seems like a lot of locals were there to watch the Raptors' playoff game. The server gave us a list of the day's specials, but we decided to stick with their menu items. We started off by ordering the Potato Skins with bacon, spring onions, and cheddar. It was decent, but nothing special. For our mains, we tried the Seafood Diavolo and Penne Arrabbiata. Dave mentioned below that it is a good amount with leftovers, but we did not expect such BIG portions. We felt full just by looking at the size of our pastas! The Seafood Diavolo was not appealing (being saucy and orange in colour...), but the jumbo shrimps were cooked perfectly and there were chunks of lobster which were quite tasty. The creamy rosé sauce made it very filling, and it was not spicy at all. The Penne Arrabbiata looked a lot like something we used to make (too often) back in university (...with Classico sauces!). We expected to see slices of sausage but it was more like ground pork. It was more peppery, rather than spicy, hot with a kick as it should be. Unfortunately, both of the pastas were overcooked, too. Perhaps it was an off night for the chef, or it was a new chef...but we would only dine at Pump House Grille again if we happen to be in the area. Well...we may return when they are doing their specials. * Mondays to Fridays from 3 to 5 PM -- 59 cent wings (only until the end of April) * Wednesdays from 5:30 to 9:30 PM -- $1.50 per oyster

The burgers were dry and crispy. I loved my burger, but my wife and grampa didn't and then the fries. They are edible, that's the consensus we came to, edible. I mistakenly ordered a large, it was a mistake because they suck. Super soggy and tasteless. I coated my fries in a meat rub and into the air fryer they went. I liked my burger, it was great. But my wife and grampa said theirs were dry and crispy. So it looks like 1/3rd of the time you'll get a great burger. I won't be going back. Sticking with the better gourmet burger places symposium or browns.

I had a hankering for something tasty but couldn't figure out what it was that I wanted. Japanese, Thai, Pizza or Burgers? Peeked at the menu online and with so many appealing options, still couldn't decide on what to get.. or whether to order online for pickup.. or get delivery.. so I drove my indecisive ass to Burger Bros after an hour of back and forth debating between restaurants! I was very hangry and my stomach was rumbling! Arrived at 6pm with no one in the place but me. The man taking my order was very friendly. I imagine that he's the owner. Asked him about two options; Adopted and Broski (not much of a difference between the two) and he recommended Step Brothers but I wasn't feeling a meat patty then and settled on the Broski instead. Wanted to wash my hands in the washroom but the WC was closed so the man allowed me to wash in the basin behind the counter. Appreciated that so much! After placing my order, dozens of people came through!! The place filled up rather quickly. I kept moving around like a chess piece on a chess board to make space while I waited. Within twenty minutes, my order was ready. The bag was piping hot, just the way I like it. There was no way I could wait to eat so I drove over to the next plaza, parked the car and devoured my sandwich. It was really good! Received three thick pieces of chicken strips in a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, mozzarella cheese, pickles and various sauces. I inhaled my burger and said to myself, next time, I'll order two. No fries were consumed. Heard the portions are big and can be shared between two, so that's what I'ma do next time! Very affordable prices for the amount received. Much cleaner than other fast food joints.

After work today, I was picking up a beverage order at Starbucks and noticed that this Harvey's was open. It has taken over the store that was Fresh Burger, and is between Chipotle and Sunset Grill. I thought that I would order a meal through the Harvey's app on my phone. I'd then fetch it at the eatery and sit down to enjoy it. I placed my order in my car, parked at Circle K, which was across the street. I took advantage of the angus burger combo for $8.99 before taxes, which had the following: - Angus burger on a multigrain bun - Onion rings - Diet Pepsi (I upgraded to a large) for $0.50 I got word that it would be ready in fifteen minutes. It was enough time for me to redeem some coupons at Circle K and then drive over to Harvey's. I ended up with a prime parking spot steps away from both Chipotle and Harvey's. I backed into the spot and walked in. There was a man sitting down at a table on the right. I headed straight to the counter and got a cheerful, bubbly woman. I let her know that I was picking up a takeout order and said my first name. Her colleague nodded and fetched my order in a paper bag. I thanked both of them and found a table. I sat down and had dinner, watching CP24 on the screen. The angus burger was delicious. It had garlic mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and relish. The multigrain bun was soft and held everything together. It was fantastic! My Diet Pepsi was okay. It didn't have enough Diet Pepsi syrup from the fountain machine. I should have stuck with the regular size. I loved my onion rings. They were crispy and naturally sweet. I dipped them in ketchup. I used the washroom before I headed home. There are two single stalls. One was wheelchair-accessible. I used the regular one. It was clean. What I loved about it was a little shelf that I used to place my drink on it. Nice! I'm happy that there's this eatery by my workplace. It's a nice change from having McDonald's in the area when I crave a burger. Welcome, Harvey's! It's a beautiful thing. (327)

The ambiance was quiet, but when we asked to have the curling game on (since we were watching it in our room), the waitress told us they couldn't because they lost the remote. She claimed changing the channel would affect all the TVs, but I'm not sure if that was the real reason. When we asked for a drink menu, we were told they no longer had one. The waitress didn't offer any alternatives or even mention what they had available. I just ordered a Rum and Coke and some beef nachos. The nachos were $20, but the beef was overcooked and tasted like it had been reheated from earlier. My mother-in-law's chicken Caesar salad also tasted old and rubbery. This is a place we've stayed at frequently, but after seeing issues from our last visit in October still unresolved (like a urinal covered with a garbage bag), it's clear they don't care about upkeep or quality. The waitress was okay, but that's about the only positive I can say. There are other, much better options nearby--save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Sometimes you're in the mood for a lot of food at a reasonable price, and East Side Mario's certainly succeeds in that regard. I mean, we had just been seated when we were presented with two sizeable dinner rolls and a dish of butter. Like, we'd been in our seats for all of 10 seconds when this happened! And those rolls are admittedly quite tasty. They're freshly-made and piping hot, and the subtle garlic flavor does enhance them considerably. We also received two salads, one garden and one Caesar, and both of them were pretty decent, although the garden was underdressed and the Caesar was overdressed. Go figure. For my main, I decided to keep it simple, so I went with the Mario's Spaghetti & Meatballs ("Six delizioso meatballs nestled on top of Mario's Signature Tomato sauce"). It arrived a short time later and I'll admit the presentation (or lack thereof) was an immediate turn-off, as the dish was presented without any finesse or care that I could see (i.e. it was a bowl of pasta with a bunch of sauce and meatballs dropped on top). It tasted exactly how I thought it might, as though the tomato sauce came out of a can and the meatballs were cooked from frozen. I will admit, however, that the pasta was cooked surprisingly well, so I didn't entirely hate the experience of eating this dish. It reminded me of the kind of sub-gourmet pasta dishes I used to eat and enjoy as a kid. Will I return to East Side Mario's anytime soon? Unlikely. But it is nice knowing it's there.
