I came here on a Sunday afternoon for a girls lunch and we had such a great experience! This was my first time trying Chiang Mai and the food was absolutely delicious! We got two orders of the spring rolls as an appetizer and I also got the Thai iced tea, which were delicious and really hit the spot. My sister and I decided to share the Thai Basil fried rice with chicken and their signature Pad Thai. Both of these dishes were really good. They had great flavor and the portions were also pretty generous. We were party of three that came around 2 p.m. and as the afternoon went on the restaurant definitely got busier and busier. we were there for a few hours and not once did our server try to push us out or try to give us our bill before we were ready which I really appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed my first experience here and I will definitely be back. I know that there are a few other Chiang Mai locations around the GTA, so based off this experience, I will definitely be checking out the other locations as well!

I am a huge fan of thier food. Love the service everytime I go in. The restaurant does a good job of making you feel like you have stepped into the lil heaven away from home. Thier Beef Khao soi is my favorite. The Islamic noodles are also a great option. I have tried most of their apps top pick are the calamari, the fried chicken and the spring rolls. Everytime someone cannot decide where to go I recommend this place and it's always a hit.

My favourite Thai restaurant in the GTA! I used to love Sukothai and Pai, but this is definitely my new favourite. Overall: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Pineapple fried rice: 4.5/5 this is probably my favourite fried rice dish at any restaurant in the GTA. What a nice balance between sweet and savoury! The presentation is on point too, it comes in a pineapple. Khao Soi: 4.5/5 again, another favourite of mine here. So flavourful and such tender beef. The dish is packed with flavour and is definitely a top dish here. Panang curry: 3.8/5 I have had better curries, but this was still really good and really enjoyed it! Green curry: 4/5 also have had better curries, but this was great as well. The party I was with really loved it. Service: 5/5 - excellent servers and very kind, full of smiles and prompt. Ambiance: 4.5/5 a nice Thai spot, good decor and lighting, and just overall awesome presentation of everything. Only a .5 less since it's just a little small/crammed compared to the other location, but nonetheless, a great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back to this family-favourite restaurant!

This location of Chiang Mai is pretty good and comparable to the one in Liberty Village in terms of their food. The interior is smaller and not as elaborately decorated, but still nice nonetheless. The service was quick and accommodating for large groups. I had tried the Pineapple Fried Rice at the other location, and this one was still delicious and well presented as I remember. Their prices are also not too bad compared to other Thai food places.

The venue is conveniently located on the Danforth. It is easily accessible by pubic transit (get off Pape station) or by car (paid parking on Danforth). The high light of my meal was their crispy fish. It came with 7/8 pieces of sliced fish that has been fried to perfection! Their Islamic noodle is cooked in curry powder with a side of curry sauce. I would not recommend getting their lobster option as if only comes with a tail and 3 shrimps. If you go to Sala you get a whole lobster. The service was good, and they accept cash payment.

Booked a table for 12 on Mother's Day and everyone had such a great experience. The staff were incredibly kind and patient with us (3 generations of my family, 1 one year old boy, and people talking on top of each other). So THANK YOU for that alone! Great atmosphere and tasteful decor. Anyways, the food was delicious and the presentation of everything was beautiful. Appetizers: Calamari - must get! The thai seasoning is very flavourful. The batter is crispy and crunchy, while the squid itself was tender. Great sauces (spicy mayo and a sweet chili sauce). Sweet potato fritter - large portion. Crispy and tasty. Same dipping sauces as calamari. Spring rolls - good. Nothing too special. Thai fresh rolls - nice presentation. Looked like sushi from afar. It's colourful. Tasted as expected. Nothing too special either. Tom Yum soup- small but mighty. There was actually too much filling and not enough soup! Usually my issue is the other way around. Great flavours. Entrées: Islamic noodle (shrimp)- medium spice wasn't very spicy compared to other Thai places. Didn't even break a sweat. The homemade curry sauce was on the side and you pour it over your food. It's nice when your meal is interactive. Delicious curry sauce. Loved it! Pineapple fried rice (beef and chicken)- beautiful presentation as it was served in the pineapple shell along with large cucumbers. It tasted very good as well. My grandma doesn't eat a lot unless she likes a dish. And let's just say she had several helpings! That alone made my entire trip worth it. Green curry and massaman curry - both were decent. Nothing too special! Pad Thai -- Good noodle texture and classic tastes. Crispy chili sauce with bread chicken -- this was unexpectedly great too. My grandpa devoured most of it. Dessert: Mango sticky rice -- must order. Beautiful presentation. So picturesque. The sticky rice was so soft and with just the right amount of sweetness. Mangos aren't quite in season so they weren't as sweet as they could be but that wasn't a problem. My grandma also ate a whole serving on her own (that's how much she loved it). New York cheesecake with mango bits on top -- yum!!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! Thank you for the cute mocktails for the mothers and cheesecake. Can't wait to recommend this place to more people.

Newly opened Chiang Mai in the Danforth. We went there for the soft opening and got: - 20% off! Complementary Thai iced tea (which was not overly sweet, which I liked)! - Sweet Potato Fritters: Huge serving size, great amount of greens. The fritters themselves were properly crispy and had a good potato-to-coating ratio. - Panang Curry with Tofu: Sauce was thick and zesty. Good amount of veggies but would have liked a bit more tofu in it. Side rice was tastily dry. - Khao Soi with Lobster: Pricey, but hey, it's lobster (would have liked a bigger one, but we can all dream). Noodles were a bit thinner than I thought they would be. Sauce was mild (which I asked for), but would have liked more oomph with the flavours. - Mango Sticky Rice: Huuuuuge serving. Rice was heavy-and-chewy sticky. Mangos were sweet. Service was friendly and efficient. Space was nicely decorated. Chiang Mai is a great addition to the area.

I loved the mango salad. My favourite khao Soi taste so good. The food presentation is cute and best of all the service. The staff are very friendly. A big smile every time they come to our table.

I was really impressed with the presentation of the food. They really dress up all of the dishes and drinks with pieces of fruit and swirls of vegetables. Everything was tasty as well.

This spot was on the to visit list after I saw the pics and reviews of their first location on the west end. Alas the one that shall not be named happened and fast forward two years and they have opened up a few locations now. The Thai food offerings are solid in Toronto so they have their work cut out for them. The regular go to spots for food delivery have been inconsistent of lately so I decided to give them a try. Here is what I ordered Pad Thai with chicken: A bit greasy IMO but that seems to be the norm nowadays for all takeout places. I have a feeling they just cooked noodles sitting warm at most spots and they add or subtract the options. Middling for starts. Penang Chicken: Decent and has nice thick sauce. Not oily and thankfully didn't give me a heart burn that I have been getting from regular places. Cashew Chicken: A bit different from the norm as its more Thai style then the Western style counterpart most other places serve (Lightly battered and fried) decent. Yam fritters: Hmm I didn't enjoy this dish as I guess my delivery order got delayed as I think this is best enjoyed pipping hot. 3.5 Stars for now with a potential for a solid 4. A good alternative to the regular places if you want to try them out. I will give them another go for sure.

Amazing! I went with a group of friends and we had such a good time. Atmosphere, food was excellent and service was great. We had 2 birthdays and we didn't make any special requests but the staff came out with complimentary cheesecakes which was really nice and unexpected. Great dining experience Highly rec the pineapple fried rice

AMAZING authentic Thai food. I actually ordered ubereats at the Kennedy location and was very surprised by how flavourful their food was. So I was very pleased to see they have this location in Riverdale. I ordered Ritual and the staff were very friendly. The food was consistent with their other location. We had their pineapple fried rice with vegetables and it was piping fresh and flavourful. The green curry with beef was packed with flavour. My favourite would be their pad Thai as it was one of the much better ones I've had. The prices are reasonable and we will be visiting much more often!

    Coconut Soup

I went to this outlet based on google ratings but it was a gutsy move after a disappointing experience at their North York location. Anyway, I had a pleasant experience at this location. I tried Pad Ki Maw and Coconut soup. Both were flavoursome and presented beautifully. Minor thing was that soup could be less sour but overall good food. Seating was amply spaced out and hence a nice place with a touch of fine dining. It gives you sufficient room to be with your folks without having to overhear other table conversations, food is good, service is quick, moderate pricing. Got table right away. They also have a couple of bar stools in patio if you're in mood of a date with self or for two. Recommend this for trying at least once

We ordered 2 cocktails to start with the tapioca dumplings and green papaya fritters. The drinks came out immediately. I had the Tincture Perfect, which was outstanding. It was the perfect mix of sweet, sour, floral and bitter. I loved it! My husband had the Unit 75 which he really enjoyed. The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was a little on the sweet side, but was very yummy. I loved the black pepper on top but didn't really taste much cilantro. My husband had La Passionista which was great. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.
