Wow wow wow what a great experience. Immediately we walked in and were greeted by amazing smells, great music, and a beautiful interior. The vibes were immaculate in every aspect. We wanted to stay here all night. The drinks were delicious, the pizza was out of this world, and the bartenders were the nicest people on the planet. I can't explain how good this place is.

Food/Drinks: This place was delicious. We got a pepperoni pizza and it exceeded our expectations. It was full of pepperoni, and as a crust girly, I can tell you it had the perfect crust. It was extremely tasty and one of my favorite pizzas. If I ever visit Toronto again, I definitely will be stopping by here one more time. The drinks were also delicious, and they also had such an aesthetic look to them. Mine was purple and looked like it had glitter. I truly loved the food and drinks. Location: The location is perfect for a date night, and it's also casual, but it does have a very nice aesthetic specially the lights and tree aesthetic in the inside. I would say you can either go dressed up a little or keep it pretty casual, and you wouldn't stand out. This is perfect for a date night or a great place to go with your friends and get some slices of pizza. It looks like this location just offers street parking. I did not see any offers for valet, but again, I'm only visiting this area, so I'm not sure how parking works exactly for this location. Service: The service was great and it was pretty quick. There weren't that many people when we went because it was afternoon on a weekday. I'm not sure if they have busier hours, but we were treated great and everything was timely given to us.

I was in the area for a concert across the street and I figured I should grab some food beforehand, so Bar Poet, which I'd been curious about for ages, seemed like a perfect option. The place was hopping when I showed up a little after 7:00 but I was nevertheless able to snag a spot at the bar. I started out with a pint of the house lager and it was actually really tasty and refreshing. For food, I opted for the Parmesan Chicken Sandwich ("Tomato Garlic Spread, Basil, Pesto Aioli, Arugula, Campania Buffalo Mozzarella"). It arrived maybe 20 minutes later and sure looked impressive. And it's definitely a solid sandwich. The flavors are right on point, and the various components work really well together. (Having said that, was I little disappointed the chicken had absolutely no crunch to speak of? Yeah, a little. The 'wich was missing some texture, but given how tasty it was, it wasn't that big of a deal.) My server was awesome, as well, and the boisterous ambiance was exactly what I was in the mood for. I'll definitely be returning to Bar Poet.

This was such a memorable dining experience, the food was incredibly satisfying and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, making every moment enjoyable. It is the kind of place that stays in your mind, and I would truly love to come back and enjoy it again soon

Highly recommend making a reservation. We were fortunate that our timing was perfect, so we were seated between reservations. The atmosphere was cozy, fairy lights tastefully hanging from foliage from the ceiling and timeless music playing softly in the background made conversation easy. We had the 3 little pig, arrúgala with basalmic vinaigrette and spicy shrimp pizzas. Everything was delicious, even the garlic sauce in lieu of ranch dressing. The beverages were refreshing: sweet and tart. If we resided in Toronto this would be our favorite pizza place. Thank you for welcoming us into your establishment at the end of our adventurous day.

First time at Bar Poet- the indoor space is really pretty! I love the string lights trees and awning over the bar. We ordered the arancini to start and it was very tasty with a little spice. Then we ordered the spicy rigatoni and it was also good. The have hand crafted cocktails that are also very good. Service was a little slow but it was also super busy on a Friday. Only docking points because my pasta came out much sooner than the pizza my husband ordered.

Gord and I had supper Tuesday evening. It's been a while since we've been there ... we've tried to get in a few times but it's always jammed. We both had a Three Little Pigs pizza (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Crispy Bacon, 'Ndu ja Sausage, Pepperoni, Basil, Parmigiano) ... mine without parm. We both took home half for lunch tomorrow. They were good pizzas, though the 'Ndu ja Sausage was really salty. Daria was friendly and took good care of us.

Let me say, this is an absolutely gorgeous place to go for a girl's night out. My two best friends and I went here for our monthly "bar and yap" and we were not disappointed. The inside has these gorgeous vines dangling from the ceiling, and the interior is dark and feels very intimate. The music is very loud though so I did find myself shouting here and there, but that never stopped me! We got the following food: - Garlic fingers: These were great! I didn't really expect to find donair sauce in the GTA (I'm more used to it in the Maritimes) but they were garlicky, cheesy, and sweet! 8/10 - Hand cut fries: We got two of these. Very standard but got it for the sake of eating bar food. 7/10 - Dovercourt and Queen "sweet" calamari: We got two of these too! This is probably one of the best calamari's I've had - probably because it's so interesting with the sauce. It's sweet and tangy and salty and a marriage of flavours! Could not stop munching at it all night. 10/10 For drinks we ordered a bunch to try: - Purple rain: I didn't think I was a gin girl but I tried this and was pleasantly surprised! I think this is a great one to try if you're apprehensive like I am. The drink is also very pretty. 9/10 - Peanut butter espresso martini: Unique and adds some substance to the classic espresso martini! I would get this again and again. 10/10 - Lychee martini: This was very standard but great for people who love something sweet. 7/10 - Sangria: I can't find it on the menu anymore but I swear we ordered this! Maybe it's a non-menu item or I am mixing it up with something else. It's pretty and very delicious. 9/10 Overall the service was great and they were very attentive but also gave us our alone time for our girls night as the night went on. I would come back again - but unfortunately it's a little out of the way for me to come frequently. I hope they open a second location at some point!

Omg! This place is a must if you're in Toronto. The pizza was unreal! Loved the pepperoni one - a classic. The bar manager was very nice and helped us with our drink orders. Lively spot, good place to come with a group of people.

So good. I made a reservation pretty far in advance for a table at 8ish, since we were just coming into Toronto around them and wanted dinner. Our server was very friendly and the service was relatively quick. The food was out of this world. Definitely pricey but I'd say it's worth it. I got the spicy vodka pasta and the bread along with my drink, and it rivals a lot of the best Italian places in the area. It is super loud and definitely for a younger crowd, especially on the weekends. If you're ok with a dark and noisy atmosphere, I would urge you to check this place out. It's absolutely gorgeous and a must-visit if you're in Toronto.

We made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday afternoon using Resy and we were seated promptly. The service was nice but nothing over the top. We ordered the calamari, 2 mushroom papardelle, 1 spicy rigatoni & 1 hot rod pizza. Everything tasted great, but the portions of the calamari and pastas were verrrrryyyyyy small. I still felt hungry afterwards. The pizza was very well done. Make sure to order the creamy garlic dip! Bill came to around $90 for two people after tax and tip for 1 pasta, 1 pizza & calamari.

Awesome restaurant! The starters that we ordered (garlic bread, bruschetta, and calamari) were amazing. Tried the Hot Rod pizza as my main. Delicious! The servers were really nice and friendly! The design inside is awesome, great spot to meet up with friends. Unfortunately we were sat right underneath a speaker and it was a little bit difficult to hear each other but the vibe was amazing otherwise!

Impeccable. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive without being overbearing. I felt welcomed from the second I walked through the door. I ordered the Avocado Salmon Toast paired with the beautifully pink and perfectly named Pink Flamingo drink. My friend went for the Sweet Berry Waffle and a classic lemonade. Let me just say--the flavors did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh, creamy avocado was piled high, and the toppings were thoughtfully layered. My only tiny critique (and I say this with love): the toast itself was a little too crispy for my liking. It made the dish a bit tricky to cut into, and the texture leaned dry. Next time, I'll definitely ask for it untoasted or lightly toasted. A softer base would really let those flavors shine without the crunch competing. Now let's talk about that Pink Flamingo--WOW. It was tropical, sweet, and honestly gave me vacation-in-a-glass vibes. I almost ordered a second, but adulting (and budgeting) called me back to reality. That said, it's worth every sip! I snuck a few bites from my friend's Sweet Berry waffles, and yep--I'm getting that next time!! Light, fruity, tasty!! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Who knows, maybe next time I'll get to sample a few more dishes Seriously though--support local and give this place a try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
