    Microdose pizza

I came here for dinner with a few friends, and we ordered a few appetizers, pastas, and pizzas to share. It's a really cute spot and the service was decent. I would not hesitate to come back, but there are some things I would definitely not order again. Not order again: - mozzarella sticks - these were not cheesy, fresh, or flavourful, huge disappointment - prosciutto and zeppole - prosciutto were not very fresh or thinly sliced, weirdly presented with the zeppole on the side Will definitely order again: - heroic dose pasta - the pasta was so fresh, great sauce and plenty of mushrooms (my favourite dish) - NYC spicy rigatoni - really good flavours and the pasta texture was perfect (also homemade) - Caesar salad - so creamy and I think they make the sauce in house bc I tasted a hint of the anchovy umami flavour The pesto pasta was pretty good too. And so were all the pizzas. I can't comment much on the pizzas because I was heavily focused on their homemade pasta. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas though. The only things that was bad were the two appetizers we got. They also offer an extensive list of drinks - beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails. I really like this spot and will definitely be back!

Overall, a cool pub style restaurant - food was surprisingly really good, especially for what it is! Parmesan Chicken Sandwich - 4.2/5 - I loved it and would definitely get it again. Perfect sandwich and flavours! The fries were really nice too Ambiance - 3.8/5 - it was a nice venue, but it was hard to chat with friends because it was a bit too loud .. especially since we were there during dinner time and not that late Thanks for the great service too!

Wow wow wow what a great experience. Immediately we walked in and were greeted by amazing smells, great music, and a beautiful interior. The vibes were immaculate in every aspect. We wanted to stay here all night. The drinks were delicious, the pizza was out of this world, and the bartenders were the nicest people on the planet. I can't explain how good this place is.

Food/Drinks: This place was delicious. We got a pepperoni pizza and it exceeded our expectations. It was full of pepperoni, and as a crust girly, I can tell you it had the perfect crust. It was extremely tasty and one of my favorite pizzas. If I ever visit Toronto again, I definitely will be stopping by here one more time. The drinks were also delicious, and they also had such an aesthetic look to them. Mine was purple and looked like it had glitter. I truly loved the food and drinks. Location: The location is perfect for a date night, and it's also casual, but it does have a very nice aesthetic specially the lights and tree aesthetic in the inside. I would say you can either go dressed up a little or keep it pretty casual, and you wouldn't stand out. This is perfect for a date night or a great place to go with your friends and get some slices of pizza. It looks like this location just offers street parking. I did not see any offers for valet, but again, I'm only visiting this area, so I'm not sure how parking works exactly for this location. Service: The service was great and it was pretty quick. There weren't that many people when we went because it was afternoon on a weekday. I'm not sure if they have busier hours, but we were treated great and everything was timely given to us.

I was in the area for a concert across the street and I figured I should grab some food beforehand, so Bar Poet, which I'd been curious about for ages, seemed like a perfect option. The place was hopping when I showed up a little after 7:00 but I was nevertheless able to snag a spot at the bar. I started out with a pint of the house lager and it was actually really tasty and refreshing. For food, I opted for the Parmesan Chicken Sandwich ("Tomato Garlic Spread, Basil, Pesto Aioli, Arugula, Campania Buffalo Mozzarella"). It arrived maybe 20 minutes later and sure looked impressive. And it's definitely a solid sandwich. The flavors are right on point, and the various components work really well together. (Having said that, was I little disappointed the chicken had absolutely no crunch to speak of? Yeah, a little. The 'wich was missing some texture, but given how tasty it was, it wasn't that big of a deal.) My server was awesome, as well, and the boisterous ambiance was exactly what I was in the mood for. I'll definitely be returning to Bar Poet.

Highly recommend making a reservation. We were fortunate that our timing was perfect, so we were seated between reservations. The atmosphere was cozy, fairy lights tastefully hanging from foliage from the ceiling and timeless music playing softly in the background made conversation easy. We had the 3 little pig, arrúgala with basalmic vinaigrette and spicy shrimp pizzas. Everything was delicious, even the garlic sauce in lieu of ranch dressing. The beverages were refreshing: sweet and tart. If we resided in Toronto this would be our favorite pizza place. Thank you for welcoming us into your establishment at the end of our adventurous day.

First time at Bar Poet- the indoor space is really pretty! I love the string lights trees and awning over the bar. We ordered the arancini to start and it was very tasty with a little spice. Then we ordered the spicy rigatoni and it was also good. The have hand crafted cocktails that are also very good. Service was a little slow but it was also super busy on a Friday. Only docking points because my pasta came out much sooner than the pizza my husband ordered.

Gord and I had supper Tuesday evening. It's been a while since we've been there ... we've tried to get in a few times but it's always jammed. We both had a Three Little Pigs pizza (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Crispy Bacon, 'Ndu ja Sausage, Pepperoni, Basil, Parmigiano) ... mine without parm. We both took home half for lunch tomorrow. They were good pizzas, though the 'Ndu ja Sausage was really salty. Daria was friendly and took good care of us.

Let me say, this is an absolutely gorgeous place to go for a girl's night out. My two best friends and I went here for our monthly "bar and yap" and we were not disappointed. The inside has these gorgeous vines dangling from the ceiling, and the interior is dark and feels very intimate. The music is very loud though so I did find myself shouting here and there, but that never stopped me! We got the following food: - Garlic fingers: These were great! I didn't really expect to find donair sauce in the GTA (I'm more used to it in the Maritimes) but they were garlicky, cheesy, and sweet! 8/10 - Hand cut fries: We got two of these. Very standard but got it for the sake of eating bar food. 7/10 - Dovercourt and Queen "sweet" calamari: We got two of these too! This is probably one of the best calamari's I've had - probably because it's so interesting with the sauce. It's sweet and tangy and salty and a marriage of flavours! Could not stop munching at it all night. 10/10 For drinks we ordered a bunch to try: - Purple rain: I didn't think I was a gin girl but I tried this and was pleasantly surprised! I think this is a great one to try if you're apprehensive like I am. The drink is also very pretty. 9/10 - Peanut butter espresso martini: Unique and adds some substance to the classic espresso martini! I would get this again and again. 10/10 - Lychee martini: This was very standard but great for people who love something sweet. 7/10 - Sangria: I can't find it on the menu anymore but I swear we ordered this! Maybe it's a non-menu item or I am mixing it up with something else. It's pretty and very delicious. 9/10 Overall the service was great and they were very attentive but also gave us our alone time for our girls night as the night went on. I would come back again - but unfortunately it's a little out of the way for me to come frequently. I hope they open a second location at some point!

So good. I made a reservation pretty far in advance for a table at 8ish, since we were just coming into Toronto around them and wanted dinner. Our server was very friendly and the service was relatively quick. The food was out of this world. Definitely pricey but I'd say it's worth it. I got the spicy vodka pasta and the bread along with my drink, and it rivals a lot of the best Italian places in the area. It is super loud and definitely for a younger crowd, especially on the weekends. If you're ok with a dark and noisy atmosphere, I would urge you to check this place out. It's absolutely gorgeous and a must-visit if you're in Toronto.

Omg! This place is a must if you're in Toronto. The pizza was unreal! Loved the pepperoni one - a classic. The bar manager was very nice and helped us with our drink orders. Lively spot, good place to come with a group of people.

We made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday afternoon using Resy and we were seated promptly. The service was nice but nothing over the top. We ordered the calamari, 2 mushroom papardelle, 1 spicy rigatoni & 1 hot rod pizza. Everything tasted great, but the portions of the calamari and pastas were verrrrryyyyyy small. I still felt hungry afterwards. The pizza was very well done. Make sure to order the creamy garlic dip! Bill came to around $90 for two people after tax and tip for 1 pasta, 1 pizza & calamari.

I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. Large windows line one wall with a view to the exterior, but are tinted enough that people walking by cannot see in. Service was great, although they do have a strict 1 hr 45 min time limit for seating, regardless of whether the bar is packed or not.

We walked up to an unassuming entrance that is part of the experience, and once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. The space is intimate and cozy with dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed speakeasy vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a couple of drinks. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. The menu is creative without being gimmicky, and the flavors are well integrated, with each drink offering something distinct. The staff were welcoming and happy to explain the menu or offer recommendations if you are unsure what to order. They guided us through the flavor profiles and offered thoughtful suggestions based on our preferences. Service felt attentive without being overbearing, and the overall pace made it a great place to relax rather than rush through a drink. The team checked in at the right moments and kept the experience feeling personal and unhurried. If you are looking for a cocktail bar that offers something different from the usual classics, After Seven delivers a memorable experience. Between the hidden entrance, intimate setting, and creative drinks, it is the kind of place that is easy to recommend whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for one of Toronto's more unique bars. The balance of atmosphere, craftsmanship, and service makes it a standout in the city's cocktail scene.

The line was short during a late lunch on a weekday, and if we had planned better, we would have ordered ahead because you can skip the line. The service was a bit slow; we were thinking they could make so much more money if they just had a New Yorker taking orders, but it was worth the wait for some piping hot, crispy crust. We got a few slices; mushroom blanco (we tasted some truffle oil), a vodka one (all pizza should be made with this sauce instead), a marg and a pepperoni. All the spots were taken outside so we walked 2 minutes to a park and crushed our pieces there and saw a number of others so the same. We waited for 45 mins on a Friday evening, and ended up getting a parking ticket that was issued 10 mins before we were leaving. But I guess their set up does live up to the "neighborhood pizza" vibe. Their pizza is the best though and I'm not much of a pizza girl. My favourite is the burrata marinara because I find it so unique. The burrata is creamy and go so well against the crispness of the pizza. The vodka slice had the most insane cheese pull and I love that it doesn't have a strong tomato/sour taste. Next time we'll probably order ahead and just get a box!
