Brunch at Ruby Soho was mostly fun and delicious but slightly slow. Came here for a birthday brunch with a group of 14 girls and overall had a great experience! The food was beautifully plated and full of flavor, with a few standout dishes. The Classic Breakfast was simple and delicious the raspberry jam that came with the toast was amazing. Only thing that lacked was the corn bread it was dense and dry. Pork Belly Benny was rich and flavourful the pork belly was almost candy like sweet, crunch and fatty. The only letdown was the Avocado Toast, It felt a bit bland and got lost under the sprouts. Our waitress was friendly and did her best due to short staffing but overall it was still very slow service.

I got to meet a couple of sis and get some puppy love (where was on a work call) before settling in with the happy hour menu (starts at 3pm!). Unpretentious Fresh food, good pricing, super friendly staff.
Went here for our second stop of the evening after our company Christmas party. They were able to accommodate our large group. The server was doing a hell of a job keeping up with everyone's orders. I really enjoyed the truffle fries. The sweet potato fries were only ok in comparison. They had a wide variety of drinks and cocktails available. I would definitely come back with friends!
I love the aesthetic of the place. The skeeball and the church window and the plants waterfalling from the skylight. So fun. We went for happy hour. They have a great collection of options that are perfect for sharing. We had the Shishido nachos which had so much on them. We have the Kelsey Caesar salad that had pine nut so we felt very fancy and we had the coconut shrimp Our server was so good at checking in on us to make sure if we needed anything else and make sure everything was tasting good. It's a great spot for a happy hour. They have lots of cocktails as well for happy hour, but we didn't try any this time
9/10 truffle parm fries. Portland mule was yummy. Great attentive service. Pretty loud environment but not as to the point of yelling. Definitely understand why this is such an iconic spot! Excited to return for happy hour.

I met a friend here hoping to try their dinner menu but we got there to early so we opted for the brunch menu. I ordered the tomatillo + baby kale benny and let me say, it did not disappoint at all! It was very delicious, especially the brown butter hollandaise sauce. It was rich and smooth. I was very happy with my order despite coming here specifically for dinner. The atmosphere was nice, most of the seating was on high tops and lots of people were weaving in an out so we had to be mindful of that. The servers were nice too, they gave us a heads up with the menu switching times.
Stopped in for Lunch around 1:30 pm, found out menu was still on Brunch. Good selection for breakfast as well as Bennys & Pancakes. Interiors are done reminiscent of a tavern , staff are welcoming and friendly. Had a Pork belly breakfast sandwich as well as a fried crispy chicken sandwich, both were delicious, prepared well and the potato wedges were awesome !

The only downside is the strict seating policy--they don't allow table changes. We were seated right in front of the door, and when I asked to switch, they said their priority is accommodating those waiting in line. Still, it's a fun spot with great energy!
. ive seen this place all over my tiktok and decided to give it a shout . we went during happy hour and the place was fairly full? just the patio . patio spacing was okay, little tight but we get by . service was pretty good, really nice server . and came by to check up on us often . i was tbh expecting more from the food . nachos are more on the burnt crispy side but the coconut shrimps STOLE THE SHOW!! amazing. . the main entrees felt really "mid" . especially for the price point (20-30$ range) . the burger felt very generic and dry, and the clubhouse sandwich felt like it was left in the toaster for a minute too long- not specifically to our liking . i dont like the drinks. maybe this one is on me for what i ordered (something watermelon) but next time i will be getting something sweeter . the sour patch cocktail was easier to drink but would rather recommend the warehouse's drinks . overall, a not bad experience but will be visiting neighbouring restaurants before coming back.

Came here after dinner on a weeknight and got seated quickly. Our server was fun and got our orders quickly as well. The caesar here is BOMB! I really hope to come back soon to try their foods and other drink options. Friday nights here are always packed and during weekend brunches as well. Can't wait!
To celebrate Gord's birthday, we had supper last evening at Ruby Soho. Gord had a wagu burger and fries. It's the first time he's had wagu beef and he said it was good. I had wings with Thai chilli sauce, which were really good. The sauce was sweet with a bit of a kick and the skin was still crispy. Salomé was our server and was very friendly. She surprised Gord with a birthday dessert, which was delicious. Salomé and I had been talking about their jerk chicken dish. Though I ordered wings, she had given me a side of jerk sauce to check out, which was tasty. So tasty that she gave me a container of some to take home. How nice is that!? read more
The food tasted pretty good. It was full of flavour and enough to fill you up at the perfect amount. However, the service was a bit dodgy. The waiter did not come to check on us at any point during our dinner, and we had to continuously wave over the waiter multiple times before receiving our cheque. Fantastic Brunch this morning 6/9, with great weather on the outdoor side patio. We got the orange juice and couple of coffee's, delicious coffee btw! I had the Soho Hash w/poached eggs that were perfect! And my wee wifey had the Classic Breakfast(?). The raspberry jelly you see next to the ketchup was the raspberriest raspberry jelly/jam I've ever tasted!! Dynamite! Vibrant spot on the popular nightlife strip of King St. West. While the whole street is roaring with crowds in the night, Ruby Soho remains busy all throughout the day. It is located at the busiest corner of the street and I was caught by surprise at how good their brunch tasted. I am easily pleased by breakfast food, so it doesn't take much. However, Ruby Soho's brunch was remarkable. A really hearty breakfast, that was better than anything I could have whipped up, so don't overlook this place for food in the daytime either. read more

We came to Ruby Soho for a late Saturday brunch and it was AMAZING. Ambience was great, it's lively but a bit dark. The menu had great options but was not overwhelming and very affordable. Nowadays in Toronto, being affordable on King West can be iffy but the plates came out and we were so excited. Presentation was beautiful, it tasted fantastic, and portions were perfect. One bite into those pancakes and I fell in love. The service was also amazing from the moment we stepped through the door to the moment we walked out. Minus 1 star because their coffee was...besides that this brunch is definitely under hyped but highly recommended! read more

I'm a fan! What's not to like about Ruby Soho? First of all it's a visual treat. From the curb view, to the patio alongside Portland, the location in swanky King West, the well-designed signage and branding, the cool guy working the barbecue on the corner during covid selling great little snacks from the barbie, the dark wood "rich" looking interior with sweet looking skylight, as well as the most attractive servers and hosts that I couldn't help noticing and most men would agree with me there. The menu was interesting too with compelling sounding salads (something not in style at these kind of restaurants) as well as an east-coast Donair which I tried and it was good! Of course the usual items you would expect like wings are there too. I've only gone to eat and not sure what the evening bar scene would be like here, and I should give it a try! It seems like it does most things well, and looks quite successful at this tricky location with plenty around to distract your foodie dollars. Recommended!! read more

This place is amazing. Its very inviting as you walk through the fashion district. We were looking for place to eat before a concert and Ruby fit the bill. We ate outside and it was a little on the chilly side, luckily they have heaters which made it alot warmer. We were greeted almost immediately for our drink order and it was happy hour and we tried the ace hill mexican beer, it really didn't have a taste to it and was really mild. Our server was Dax and she was great. My wife and I had the Barbacoa tacos which tasted absolutely incredible and the house made hot sauce had just the right amount of heat, kinda wish they sold it as it was really good. I'm not a huge guac fan but they put the guac in the bottom of the taco, which made it taste even better. Overall the food and the service were excellent, this is a place I would recommend to friends and family. read more

I was disappointed in my experience. I visited a Sunday evening. I love the vibe and the music. My server was full of energy support nice. I ordered the truffle fries and Korean chicken. The food came out very hot temperature wise I appreciate that it was freshly made but the fries didn't taste special I don't know what was on it because it tasted very bland might as well have just ordered basic fries. The chicken was weird I don't know what it was I can't put my finger on the taste but it wasn't tasty and there was a lot of wonton pieces as filler. I also ordered a drink that was mostly ice the drink was very watery.. I guess you're paying for the ambiance and the location of being on king Street because I do not believe that I got value for my money I did have a good time because of the company I had as well as my server but the food and the drinks aren't worth visiting twice read more

Decided to drop by for brunch Pleased with the food. The portions are large and they accommodated any request I had. Switched chorizo to vegetarian and it was delicious. The potatoe wedges paired well with the eggs. Definitely recommend dropping by for a brunch visit. The selection is different in comparison to the typical breakfast/brunch spots. Would give it a 4.5/5 Went here for brunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised at how great the service, food and ambiance were at Ruby Soho! The restaurant quickly filled up shortly after we arrived. I would recommend making a reservation if possible, as it seems to be quite busy at peak times. I got the pork belly Benny and it was delicious. It is served with a fresh and light salad, as well as crispy potato wedges. The only complaint we had was that the food was not as hot as one would expect, even right after it was served. We ended up staying for a long time, and never felt rushed to leave or anything, which was really nice. Our server was very attentive and continued to check in on us during our visit. We ordered a few drinks and they were all quite tasty, my favourite being the Heart of Darkness. The cocktails were all presented beautifully and came out quickly. Overall, would highly recommend this restaurant! I would love to come back and check out some of their happy hour/dinner menu offerings. read more

Pretty lively bar with a lot of interesting cocktail options. They also have a lot to offer on the draft beer front. In terms of food, we enjoyed the Lettuce Wraps. The ambience is super casual and cozy. The noise levels tend to increase with time with the DJ cranking up the music after 10:30pm. It wouldn't be a surprise if the table in the hallway are cleared to make way for dancing. We were a group of four who wanted to chat but the loud music made it difficult for us to do that. You have to try the nachos .. they are the best in Toronto. I've been wanting to try out Ruby Soho for a while. They put up plastic divers between the patio tables, which made things feel more private and safe during these times. We tried the buffalo chicken wings which were really plump and flavourful. We also had the chicken sandwich which came with a side choice of the salad or the Parmesan fries which were really good. For drinks, they had a lot of fun cocktails, twists on Aperol spritz, margaritas, etc. This is a great spot for a day drinking campaign. read more

I have walked by this place several times with my boyfriend and it's always packed! We thought it would be fun to try. We were impressed with the service and quality of cocktails. We got the Celery gimlet, Penicillin and Canada Dry cocktails and they were delicious. For food we got the smash burger with fries and my boyfriend enjoyed it. I got the watermelon tuna salad and unfortunately I didn't like it that much. There was not much watermelon and it was mostly iceberg lettuce, and had an odd combination of curried cauliflower with sesame cream dressing - a little too complicated for a watermelon salad. Maybe I am biased because I make really good watermelon salads myself :) anyways I will be back for cocktails, but food wise I'll stick to more conventional pub foods. To reiterate our server was great though and we had a fun experience! read more
