Stopped in for brunch. We didn't have to wait which was nice. The tables aren't the most comfortable but I was happy to grab a seat. I got the donair meal. I can't remember what it's called but it was good. A hash type of dish. Was solid! Way more filling than I had expected. Overall, pretty solid. Their cocktails look good too!

This place has a driving patio and hang out vibe. For me, the food is filler between conversation and drinks. I do like this place a lot for the neighborhood feel. I have come here a couple of times strictly for the patio. The interior is okay and not particularly a standout but they have managed to create a nice outdoor space. The cocktail menu is wide and inviting on many levels. I do find this is a standout over the food I have tried. Love the cocktails here!!! It's sister location Ruby Soho is also popular for this reason and their patio. Their customer service here has been consistent with any of its hosts or servers. It's pretty impressive.

Gord and I checked out Liberty Soho in Liberty Village Friday evening for supper... it opened about a month ago. I ordered a Halifax Donair (house made donair [pork, veal, beef)], Halifax donair sauce, tomato, warm pita). It was good ... a bit peppery, though. There was a donair sauce on the side which was handy because there wasn't enough on the donair. Gord ordered a Cove Style Lobster Roll (knuckle & claw lobster meat, herb mayonnaise, red onion, lemon zest, brioche roll with garlic butter) and he said it was good. Reilly was our server and she was friendly and chatty and took excellent care of us. She surprised Gord with key lime pie for his recent birthday.

Surprisingly AWESOME lunch @Soho! Great service (very accommodating) and amazing meals for lunch. There were 7 of us and we loved all the meals on the menu. Yummy soup, sandwiches, eggs preparations, burgers and addictive truffle fries. They described the process for the making fries and we can see why :) Highly recommended and will be coming back!

Outstanding experience at Liberty Soho! We went before an Argonauts game and had the most delicious food (we had the wings, a burger, and the best lettuce wraps)- all were incredible! The service was impeccable and they were very careful and considerate of our food allergies. The environment is fun and upbeat and all good energy there! Highly recommend Liberty Soho!!

I went to Liberty Soho for brunch on a Sunday morning because there's no lineup. It soon became evident why there was no waiting. The food was quite average, lacking any standout flavours. The service was good, but I don't think I'll be returning for brunch here next time.

We went on a Friday evening and got seated on the patio, but had to make a reservation ahead of time. It gets quite busy, so highly recommend to do so! It also happened to be happy hour, and they have a limited selection of their menu items, but they still came in great portions. Poutine and kale dip were on that menu. And discounted cocktails too! We had a good experience and our waiter was super nice to us. A little bit on the pricier side, but for where it is and location in Liberty Village, it's a great local place to hang out.

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Beertown occupies a commanding footprint in Toronto's Financial District -- a sprawling,…read moreenergetically lit gastropub that announces itself with a theatre of gleaming taps and an open, convivial floor plan designed unapologetically for the after-work crowd. It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

We walked into an almost empty…read morerestaurant and were told they needed to make sure they had room for us (we were a party of 8). Thankfully somehow they did and we sat down to order. I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

Kevin had a Chicken Clubhouse Sandwich and fries (classic clubhouse sandwich served on 3 pieces of toasted white bread, stacked with grilled chicken breast, shredded lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, bacon, guacamole and chipotle aioli spread). Alfred had a Margherita pizza (10" New York style pizza, pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and Grana Padano cheese). Christine had a Chicken Caesar Wrap (grilled chicken breast, romaine, parmesan, caesar dressing, wrapped in a 12" flour tortilla) and took half home. Ocean was our server. Service was good, however, we were somewhat forgotten at times since we were tucked away in a dark corner. We ended up ordering the Truffle Fries, the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, the Korean Chicken, and the Vodka Pie. The truffle fries were crisp and plentiful. We added sausage to the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta, and it was delicious paired with the pizza. The Korean Chicken were bite sized and flavourful as well. We started with the Brussels sprouts which is always a great choice from here. Crispy on the outside and not an overwhelming Brussels sprout taste. This is likely because there is a generous sprinkling of grated parm and a great amount of dip. We tried the crispy tuna sushi. The tuna was beautifully marinated, so flavourful. And the sushi was nice and crispy. The vodka pie was a seasonal item and when we saw it listed, we knew we needed to try it. The sauce- amazing, the press was nice and flaky and light and really tasty. And the soccer Sada added nice saltines and flavour without being too overwhelming.
