Unique unique unique ! Let me be honest as soon as I saw the exterior, I was like "what the hell" in a disappointed way. Then I entered and said "what the hell" again, but amazed. This place has a good vibe. Lighting, ambience, people, customer service and food. Everything was good. Loved the small cubicles with the TV screen which you can play video games on. I ordered Beef Pho, Fried rice and Chowmein noodles. I loved all of the 3 dishes. Would definitely come back. My drive from Mississauga was worth it. You can play any board games for $5 per person and if you want to play video games it would cost $5 extra which is a total $10, which isn't bad at all. Once again to end my review, good customer service. Keep it up See-Scape.

What an amazing place!!! I am always looking for fun niche bars or places in Toronto. This place is a great competitor to Storm Crow Manor in my humble opinion. (I think See scapes is more fun board games and video games.) They also have all the nerdy things and movie nights. I saw on their website about karaoke which If I were to go out for a night this is what I think is just good fun. Not for everyone I'm sure but it your open to new things I'd recommend. If you have a chance their butter beer is great. Their food is good too! Fast service but had to order from the bar to get service but maybe I was being impatient lol! I'm coming back!

I remeber when I used to get beat up for being a nerd, well no longer... Now I can go and drink and play video and board games with all the ambiance of my friends basement (well maybe more Heavy Metal Magazines and a better stocked bar) I can see the concept , I really can and the staff were super nice. Thing is the food was kinda meh and they need more space! Its hard to play games with only two large tables and 5 novelty booths. In any case, the staff was good and the atmosphere was fun. If you live in the Junction or area, im sure it's better than trekking down to Snakes and Lattes. I'm up to go back just to try the video games.

SECRET ROOFTOP BAR IN THE JUNCTION Read down for details. Ok so - I'll be honest with you and the first time we came to this place it was so overrun by a gamer gathering that we immediately decided against it. We had seen enough of it though to know that it was cute and versatile to give it another chance on a rainy Saturday afternoon. First of all, the service was incredible. Even tho we were clearly of the non-gaming crowd, they made sure to welcome us and make us comfortable. Because we arrived during the tail end of an event, they offered us seats on the otherwise empty ROOFTOP PATIO. It is beautiful. Plants surround, umbrella protect, and trendy early 2000's music plays. WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE OUT THERE THE WHOLE NIGHT. Drinks were good, fast, plentiful and cheap. We played chess. We ate a full plate of nachos with all the fixin's for $10. We had a great time and at the end, decided that the only way to preserve this gem was to share it with other people. Don't be fooled by its geeky and kitchy exterior! Within lies a patio gem that will not be secret for long. See you there. Shannon

Tons of seating for small or large groups in tables or booths. The menu accommodates vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores at awesome prices. There's a great selection of board games and my favourite games on console like various mortal kombats, mario kart 64, super smash bros, several CODs, and guitar hero which is good for competitive gaming with a partner. There are also single player games should you choose to come alone. The alcohol menu is also fun. I ordered the elixir of immortality which was served in this really cool goblet with a skull on it. They also had butter beer! There's also a cafe menu for teas and other hot beverages. I would definitely come again and I highly recommend this place!

Their drink menu is impressively broad, with a strong whisky selection from different regions, plus plenty of cocktails, spirits, and wine. I especially loved the Scotchman in Sidecar, which blends Té Bheag and Laphroaig with Cointreau and lemon. It had this really interesting balance of smoky peat and bright citrus. Naked and Famous was also great if you like something a little sharper and more refreshing, while the Mango Mojito leaned sweeter and easier to sip. The food was just as enjoyable. The Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas were probably my favorite part of the meal, with a chewy crust and really satisfying flavor. The Savory Peach from the summer specials was surprisingly good, especially with the spicy sauce on the side, and the Spicy Ropressata was another standout if you like something a little salty and bold. We also tried the Shepherd's Pie, which was warm, hearty, and comforting, and the oysters were fresh and good quality too. Overall, it feels like one of those cozy places that works equally well for drinks, a casual date night, or a laid-back evening with friends.

I think they call places like this "dive bars" in Toronto but they are known simply as "bars" in other parts of the world. They also have a fun newsletter called The Low Bar Bugle which was good reading. It seems to be only issue #1 but I look forward to more. Then we dropped in for a beer early on a Saturday night and the place was hopping. Seems like it is also a music venue. Which we clued in to as we watched the punk rock-n-roll crowd coming and going and listened to the sound blasting from upstairs (accessed via the red door next to the front door). Despite the busy night Low Bar maintained it's charm. Nice to have a great go to bar in the hood. (Low Bar is in the space formerly known as Gaslight.)

We tried the happy hour special Low Beer draft (big glass, $7), which was apparently something by Great Lakes. It was a quiet time of day with some regulars chatting around the bar and good tunes playing. Came back a second time on a Saturday night when there was a gig upstairs. Place was bustling with people getting a drink in before heading upstairs, then got briefly super busy during a break in the show. Cheerful crowd of punks, rockers and beer drinkers. Happy to see the scrumptious Bellwoods Roman Candle on tap (small pint, $8). Friendly place with groovy old chairs, low light, vintage lamps, random decor and even its own newsletter! There looks to be a patio out back, too. I'll be back!

I recently dropped by for first time during lunch hour, and similar to all restaurants in the area, it's wasn't busy during this time so there were plenty of seating and reservations were not required. However, evenings and weekends can be quite busy, but reservations can be made via OpenTable. I ordered the Burger of The mouth with a side of salad, while my friend ordered the Indie Fried Chicken Platter. I personally found the burger and salad to be quite delicious. The beef patty was juicy, with all sauces and ingredients complimenting each other nicely. My friend on the other hand, found the chicken a little dry, and the coleslaw warm, and soggy. The restaurant had a cozy laid back feel at this time, contrary to the loud and lively evenings. The hostess/server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. She let us sit anywhere we wanted when we arrived given the quieter afternoons, and she knew the menu well.

They have a wide range of in-house beers, sours and even hard to find Ales. The ambiance is welcoming and accomodating to all ages (even kids). If you're a first time customer and undecided on which beer to choose, I encouraged you to try their Beer Flights which includes 5 oz. sample of 5 beers on tap. I love IPA's and Pilsner so I like ordering the Instigator & Marco Polo. Instigator, a West Coast IPA has a light honeyed sweetness with plenty of hoppy goodness. Quite malty but has well balanced and smooth tasting notes. The Marco Polo on the otherhand is a flavourful dry-hopped lager but super crisp and refreshing which is perfect for hot summer days. My SO who is into strong and dark ales swears how good their Zombie Apocalyse and Breakfast Porter. But the huge draw of me coming here is mainly how impressed I am of their food menu. They offer fresh and high quality dishes that doesn't taste like your clasic pub meals. I always order their Southern Fried Chicken since this is the best Southern Fried Chicken I've ever tried. The fried chicken is intensely flavourful and incredibly crunchy and pairs well with any of their beers. The Indie Burger is another one of my fave. This is your ultimate cheeseburger - two smashed beef patties that is juicy in every bite. Staff are also knowledgeable, friendly and will answer any questions you have about their beer offerings. Top notch chef, nice atmosphere and a wide range of pints to sample makes Indie Alehouse one of the city's top must visit locations for beer drinkers and foodies alike.
