This is a fun place to hang out with friends or even have a company event here. My work booked the entire place for the night. We had our entire department hang out here. The place did manage to fit over 75 people; however, the place isn't big and I did feel that it is a bit crammed. It does have three floors. The basement is where the washrooms are located. At the back of the bar are two bocce lanes. Upstairs there is a photo booth and a small sitting area. The building itself like many downtown buildings in Toronto is very narrow. Note that no food is being served here. Only drinks/ alcohol. I guess it is a great place to grab a drink or just to listen to music or hang out with friends. However, to compensate for that, they have a big space to play games - and not the usual pool and darts you see at a regular bar. Came here for the cocktails, stayed for the bocci ball. This place is awesome. We came here for my birthday after going to a bar nearby for dinner. The place is quite spacious. And no, to answer your question there is no track to run your beer mile or alcohol fuelled marathon. (Run responsibly people!l) This place does have two lanes of people sized shuffle board lanes along with two lanes of mini-golf type carpet for this curling kinda game. How to play this carpet type of game: essentially you split into teams of two (blue and red). You begin the game by throwing the golf ball the other end. You then take turns in trying to get the ball as close to the golf ball as possible. You have to book your lanes in order to use them. It was pretty fun. But what about the drinks? They were good with the best names. I mean Versace Versace Versace and the Old Kayne. The bar definitely kept it One Hunnid with their unique glasses. The music overall was good as well. The one downside was that in the summer, it can get pretty stuffy in there. It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday night and was relatively easy to get drinks. Safe to say, I miss the Old Kanye. Definitely something new and exciting to do in the city. The idea behind this place is pretty cool and the whole vibe of the place works very well. The place is pretty small, but big enough to not be crammed. There's a decent sized bar, a dance floor, several tables and standing tables and game pads/lawn pads for the bocce and shuffleboard games. You have to reserve your spot at a certain time, so arrive earlier in the night if playing a game on bocce/shuffleboard is on your mind! The drinks from the bar were really good. I came here for the first time for a private event. I had a blast and will certainly come back with some friends or even a date night. Usually when you go out for drinks you're either sitting around a table, or on the dance floor. It was nice to have something different to do! There's bocce ball, shuffle board, and another board/like type game that I don't know the name of. All of the games are very easy to learn. The decor was fun and relaxed. There was a good selection of beers and wines. I was a little worried about how the games would work. For instance, do you just stand/sit and wait for someone to finish? That could take awhile if people don't want to share. However, they have someone who organizes the line-ups, in 20 minute intervals. Enough to play a few games. We only had to wait for one round before we got to play. Not sure how long the wait is on the weekend. Looks like you can reserve a lane though if you're planning to go with a group. read more

A great place to try something different with your friends. Track and Field bar has 2 main games there - shuffleboard and bocce ball. Yup they are doing something different than the pool tables, darts, axe throwing, bowling etc. And it's fun! Also because you can book a lane that means you have plenty of time to play with your friends to get a real feel for the games. Located on Ossignton Ave, you have to go downstairs to get to this place. A huge bar and plenty of seating allows you and your friends to play some games, or just chill. It's a bit dark down here but that's part of the charm. There is a small food menu but I heard they don't mind if you order food in (seriously?! ) You can reserve lanes at $40 or just try your luck and walk in and see if you can score a lane. They do seem to get busy on the weekends and the lanes are booked up (per their calendar on their website - you can see what the availability is like if you really want to ensure you get a reserved lane) The bartender and staff were all friendly - we had a lot of fun. We stumbled upon this bar randomly and was surprised to see their game lanes at the entrance of the bar. "Is this really a bar?" We questioned ourselves. Good thing there's a full bar and many tables for us who are there to get intoxicated. The menu has the regular beer/hard liquor/cocktails. I tried their cocktail on the tap - nice tea, which actually tasted quite strong. We stayed to watch guests play a couple round of the games. They are all kinda similar to curling and seemed quite fun to play as a group. There's a line system going on and the bar gets busy after 11pm. I've been to Track and Field quite a few times, and I only have nice things to say. It is a place for games, killer cocktails, craft beer and DJ-infused good times. The Games: Bocce ball, shuffleboard and crokinole. They're free to play. You put your name on the list and a Gamesmaster arranges 20 minute slots for everyone. It is great because you don't have to hassle anyone yourself and it keeps things pleasant and fair. If you want to rent out a lane for an hour you also have the option of paying a fee. The Drinks: Decent selection of craft beer and really decent cocktails. They nail classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned and the Negroni. Their lemon nice tea is also delicious (and far too easy to down). I also enjoy their bespoke list of cocktails, as well as their humorous titles e.g. the Marissa Cooper, the Bad and Bocce and the Old Kanye. The Staff: Some of the best in Toronto. The bartenders make excellent drinks and they're quick about it. They are jovial, friendly and look happy to be working there. What's more, they will pour you big old glasses of water (with ice) very happily. No lip pursing or eye rolls, like you may see at other places. I love that they respond to people their social media as well. The Food: The offer a few basic snack items and are totally encouraging of patrons bringing in outside food. You can easily order pizza or Uber Eats to the bar. Late Night: On the weekends they have a DJ busting out beats until the wee hours. A few weeks ago my group had the most fun we'd had in ages dancing to old and new tunes. There is a dancey bit up the back near the DJ. It is also dark enough to dance where you're standing. Communication was top notch with Tasha and when we came in, we were able to get a long table as well as introduction to how the lanes work! we had about 50 friends comes in to help celebrate my birthday and it was a great space for people to just pop in, grab a drink and play some games! What else could a girl ask for? Honestly, their drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is just fun! You can also bring your own food, which we did and you can even order food to the place. There's crokinole, bocce and shuffleboard! There is a dj later at night and we had some fun dancing. The vibe is great and the people are all around super friendly. This place is AMAZING! I'm well over the club scene so it is nice to find great bars that have DJ and dancing. On top of that they have amazing cocktails (try the Versace Versace Versace which is a cocktail on tap that comes complete with a fake hundred dollar bill on the glass - $10) and so many fun games. You can reserve the bocce or shuffleboard lanes but they also offer free 20min slots available on a first come first serve. The bar staff is FAST and friendly so you aren't going to get stuck waiting forever for a drink even when it is busy, which it does get on the weekends. This place is great for birthdays and since they don't have a kitchen they even allow you to order your own food and bring it in to your table. This has to be my favourite bar in Toronto right now. So this is a fun little bar on College near Dufferin. It's got that student bar vibe for sure but probably aimed a slightly older crowd. It's located in a basement with little to no natural lighting which actually helps with the ambiance. There are also several board games, as well as floor games that you can sign-up for and play. Nothign electronic or crazy, but games like bocci ball, shuffle board, and a table game that roughly resembles curling. Aside from that it's very much a dive bar. Drinks around $8 to $10 most beer, cider and well drinks and whatever they want for top shelf. They have coat check for $3 in the back. Please do take advantage because it's hard to keep track of your coat as tables are first come first serve. The DJ who shows up on Saturday (at least when I went) was a pair of guys who were phenomenal. Great read of the crowd, lots of old school and top 40 music and mixed really, really well. After 11pm they have a line-up as there's limited capacity allowed and start charging cover. A good spot to start your night off at or end off if you're making rounds. read more

They said I could bring anything except ice cream cake. The only flaw is that the bocce court isn't level. I really love this place. First of all the bartenders are fantastic. Friendly and crazy helpful. One stopped our group from ordering food and instead suggesting order in pizzas to the bar. Secondly, where else can you play bocce ball and full sized shuffle board while you drink. They have other games in the back but in the times I have been there, I've never gotten to them. Both have one free lane and one you can reserve in advance although I've never had a problem getting into one of the free lanes. The space is large, very open and simple. Well, that was a lot of fun. We arrived around 9pm on a Friday. The place wasn't what I would define as busy but still had a good number of people in it for such an early hour, and both the bocce ball and shuffleboard lanes were in full swing. In the background, the speakers played a 5 star worthy playlist of golden era hip hop. I'm talking all the 90's anthems and bangers from the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, De La Soul, Notorious BIG, M.O.P, KRS-One, etc etc etc. They even have a drink called "Can I Kick It (Yes You Can)" so this place was instantly in my good books. We settled in and ordered a couple of drinks (around $8 a piece) and signed up with "the Gamesmaster" for a shuffleboard court, which was about an hour and 40 minute worth of a waiting list, and even longer for Bocce access. In the interim, we discovered a couple Crokinole boards at the back of the bar and began our gaming there. A dj started a bit after 10pm, continuing on the classic hip hop tip but also working in various classic rock songs and a few more modern hits, but still staying clear of anything too mainstream like Drake or Bieber or going into the hardcore trap shit thats everywhere now (thank you random DJ, you da real MVP). When it was our turn to play, it turns out Shuffleboard is surprisingly fun. You get a 20 minute turn and The Gamesmaster (aka the guy manning the list for turns when you first walk in) will help explain the rules so that you can get the most of it. We left shortly after midnight and there was actually a line up to get in, so I would definitely recommend going early. Especially early if you want to get in on the games. But that all said, this place is pretty darn cool... I'll definitely be coming back soon for more. read more

Their descriptions are also pretty funny. The venue was actually a lot nicer than what I expected. The shuffleboard plates are a little worn but still good to play. There weren't as many of the games available, but I suppose the size is a factor. I managed to get in one game of each of the things they had available. The staff here were friendly and polite. The decor is simple and doesn't try too hard, the little green here and there to accentuate the bar. The music they had was great, and the atmosphere was really relaxed and casual. Cleanliness was fine, floors and facilities are generally well-kept. Floors aren't sticky, tables are clean. Value is alright, pints are 8, half pint 4, cocktails around 12-14 each. I was first introduced to this place as part of Yelp event but have returned a few more times since then. I seriously never thought I'd be playing bocce at this age, but T&F sure make it a great experience. My favourite thing about this spot, apart from the yummy cocktails (negroni on tap!) and craft brews, is that they invite you to bring in your own food! They only have a couple snacky items on the menu so you are better off either eating prior, bringing food, or having pizza delivered (which they encourage!). It's a great spot for groups and events - they have two lanes for bocce and shuffleboard each. I agree with a previous poster that this is an uber-hipster bar. While I definitely do not fall into the category, it shouldn't stop you from going. We dropped in for a few drinks and games of shuffleboard and bocce ball. While I was terrible at the former, my performance at the latter was actually decent (most likely due to the amount of drinks consumed at that point). The menu is tiny, so don't bother ordering any bar bites here. Perhaps in the future they will expand the food offerings, as we need something to soak up all that booze! To me, this is less of a bar and more of a destination. The bar aspect of their little basement setup is nice, but it's the fusion of these typically-outdoor games and the atmosphere of an indoor bar that knocks it out of the park. After seeing the (outdoor) bocce pit at Local Public Eatery over the summer, I couldn't get the idea of mixing a bar & lawn bowling out of my brain. But when I heard about T&F I couldn't wrap my head around how it could be done well. Well, they figured it out, and they made it happen. The bocce and shuffleboard courts are setup reminiscient of a bowling alley, with some raised seating around them, an open area around the bar (dancing?) and some crokinole (!!) boards at the opposite end. The place was almost completely empty (a weekday evening) when I was there, and it still had a fantastic vibe. Imagining a Friday or Saturday, with people dancing, drinking, bocce-ing, and shooting crokinole? That's the stuff dreams are made of. For information's sake: there's always a walk-in bocce and shuffleboard lane available for free, but I'm assuming the wait list for those gets pretty heavy on busy nights. We got there pretty early (5:30pm) and had the space to ourselves for a while before another corp party showed up. I love bocce but am not lugging that shiz around. I had never played shuffle board before, and after a little tutelage, I pretty much won against everyone which is my fav. Except one coworker so maybe we'll be back for a showdown. I started coming to Track & Field because I work in the neighbourhood and wanted a new watering hole, helped that an old friend of mine Alex Pearce from the Drake now works there so it was a nice way to invite me in. Very talented & good humoured. Cocktails are interesting & delicious. Beers & craft cans, rail & basically anything you'd ever desire to drink. Two simple cute little bar snacks BUT they're super supportive if you wanna order a pizza to the bar. The owners paired with another talented industry bombshell to open Pray Tell just down the street so I'd suggest staying local & loyal & grabbing snacks there!
