Umm! Yes and yes! And yes! This little cute spot is located by The Well. I had a chance to try it because of summerlicious and it was not a disappoint. Not only was the girl time very needed but so was the steak France LOL. I love the garlic butter that they laid on top of it. The seeding was great outside but had we gone inside to eat I think we would have gotten more of a Lux ambiance Vibe. We got there during the happy hour special, but our server never mentioned the happy hour nor did they follow up a few minutes before the happy hour ended so that we can get another drink which I found wasn't the greatest. Normally at any other restaurant I'm seated during a happy hour special. The server makes sure that they let no happy hours ending soon. I booked a reservation here in the fall. I found this restaurant from an Instagram post talking about their mortadella sandwich. We had a large group and shared many things off the menu including 4 mortadella sandwiches. Addicting is all I can say. All around solid spot for its food and wine. It's just a chill neighborhood bar and restaurant. Fairly quiet and private which was nice. I do recommend a reservation. read more

Solid spot if you're looking for a nice bar in the city. The restaurant has nice renovations, a good cocktail menu, and a bunch of shareables which is great for a bar type experience. However, nothing really impressed or made it memorable for me, including the few dishes that we ordered. I thought things were a little pricey but I guess it's just Toronto. Bar Piquette is a quaint little spot with a beautifully decorated interior. We arrived around 9:30 PM and they were able to accommodate us right away without a reservation. The service was quick. We ordered the oysters, tuna crudo, gin and tonic, and duck crostini. The food was very good and quite fresh. I especially enjoyed the oysters, which were meaty. However, the portion sizes were not generous (more like snack sized portions). For the size of the dishes, it was a bit pricey. read more

Incredible vibes here. We stopped in for a drink after dinner and sat at the bar. The music was groovy, the design of the space is AMAZING. the drink menu options are limited to wine and gin & tonics pretty much, but not something I will complain about because that's really all you need. The super friendly bartender convinced me on the gin & tonic and my friend got the orange wine. They have a great selection of wines. We decided on a whim to take advantage of a beautiful Saturday night in Toronto and wandered over to Piquette around 8:30pm in hopes they would be able to accommodate us. Their beautiful back patio was full, but we got a cozy table near the front. The vibe is very relaxed and calm, but buzzing at the same time. We shared a few plates- the tuna was AMAZING, and the burrata- I'm actually not completely tolerant of lactose but I could not stop picking at the burrata- the honey drizzle made the dish above other burratas I've had. My partner had the mortadella sandwich as we kept seeing them come out and figured why not and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The asparagus was also note worth (I wish I got a second portion). We had a few glasses of wine and shared the lemon tart which again was AMAZING!! Im so happy to have finally been able to experience Bar Piquette- the service was efficient and kind and it all came together as a perfect casual night out. read more

It was a perfect fall afternoon and we were looking for a patio to have a quick drink before moving on to another part of the city. My friend spotted Piquette, so I quickly parked on Queen. The staff were friendly and of appropriate quality for what we discovered to be a very well appointed and stocked sophisticated small wine bar/tasting menu establishment. The back patio was totally charming, and populated by people enjoying the wine and small plates. I overheard some conversations and heard complex words and true laughter. Refreshing ! We ordered Matron Zhuzh craft beer for our brief visit. My friend has a highly refined palate and an elevated sense of style. She completely approved. Instead of a hidden cellar, bottles adorned with "The Price is Right" tags are stored in a rustic cabinet teasing patrons within plain sight. Limited menu of cold choices. We opted for a classic beef tartare, a tomato salad intertwined with guanciale and a simple cheese toast. Admittedly a little pedestrian but the ingredient were of stellar quality and each dish paired nicely with the one the many exciting selection of unique vinos. The wine selection was bold and unique with plenty of by the glass offerings from all over the place. Temptation came screaming from the custom cabinet but I mainly stuck to glasses of skin-on organics and other fun libations. read more

This happening wine bar has held up really well since I last reviewed it three years ago. The patio out back is now a "partially heated" winterized space - I saw some chicks wearing short sleeves out there when the weather was below zero, so it's actually not too bad (personally I did find it a little nippy and asked to move inside). Anyhoo, the wines by the glass are pretty consistently excellent and well curated, and the servers really know their stuff. They can definitely help you select a great glass or make that perfect pairing. The menu is Spanish tapas style, insofar as it leans to cheese and cured meats, and includes other stuff like marinated anchovies and octopus. I can't comment too much on the food because we opted for chips and dip to start (addictive, though we could have used double the amount of chips) and then ordered the $46 cheese fondue, which came with a mixed platter that included mini potatoes, summer sausage, juicy hot peppers and hunks of bread. It was delicious and enough to fill both of us up. All in all, Piquette remains a vibey little spot that's a great bet for a fun night out. Pro-tip: when you're finished, go enjoy some live music next door at Poetry! read more

Lovely vibes! My parents were visiting from outta town, as we first entered I won't lie greeting was a lil less than welcoming. Seemed like the person who seated us was quite busy, which resulted in a sort of standoffish almost annoyed first impression. But after a while Sam took over as our server and did a great job recovering!! Our night was completely turned around for the better! Wine list was great, menu was very nice! Have been here twice and had exceptional experiences both times. First experience was with a friend, where we had delicious food, and both loved our cocktails. Second was with an unfortunately terrible date, and when I told the staff on my way to the restroom that I was looking for an escape, they checked in to make sure I was feeling safe, and were unbelievably kind.
