One of the most fun dinner experiences I've had and highly recommend to anyone visiting Toronto. The nerdy gamer vibes are great. If you're a movie buff or a pop culture buff, there are references throughout the entire place that you'll pick up on. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and very informative. We "rolled" for our meal and drinks and it made the experience much more fun. Food is delicious, drink options are plenty and even the restrooms are interesting (use the ones downstairs - trust me).
Came here with a bunch of coworkers for dinner. I'm giving this place 4 stars just based on the vibe and how awesome the staff are. The rolling d20 for a shot is a fun concept (rerolls are allowed if you ask really nicely). That said, the drinks were good but the food was just okay. The burger I ordered had one of the driest patties I've had in a long time. Poutine for side was good. Should have just ate a meal worth of the tater tots.
We came here for Toronto Pride. Unfortunately but understandably, they had a limited menu for the event. After reading the online menu, I was looking forward to all of the options. But we still found something to eat and everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. I asked our waitress Lauren, because I was in between the chicken pad Thai and the tex-mex bowl. She told me their pad Thai is very spicy like 8 out of 10. That sold me on it because I love spicy food and a lot of places are afraid to do spicy. It was the right choice!! That chicken pad Thai had wonderful flavor and was decently spicy. Not so much that it was uncomfortable, but enough to leave heat on my lips and I'm my mouth. But not overpaying the flavor of the dish either. Also the themed decorations were fun. I wish I would have explored them a little more. Sorry no food pics this time... It looked so good that I dove right in and forgot to take one. Lol
Stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat with friends and it ended up being happy hour! I got deep fried pickles that tasted very good and only cost $8 and to drink I got Princess Peach's Lychee Iced but it definitely just taste like regular iced tea, I also rolled the dice for a mystery shot for $5 and it tasted delicious! Every room was a different themed that makes for a fun little atmosphere with friends. My visit was good but there was a table with maybe 10 people out to celebrate a birthday and they were being very loud and disruptive to everybody else in the room and the server never told them to be considerate to anybody else trying to enjoy dinner. I wasn't able to hear the friend right beside me speaking to me because of how loud that table was.
Such a fun place with a great vibe. Perfect for an evening out with friends. I love their themed menu especially the cocktails.
Ambiance and service is a 5/5! Rooms are interesting with themed decor. Kids loved going room to room seeing Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Marvel decor. Some of the decorations they didn't understand and were geared towards us older folks. Service is super friendly and unique being on Church street. Menu was whimsical and went along with the geekiness - and the food was good. Burger was tasty and came with good fries, and the chick pea fries were very unique. The only downside was value for money but with the themed rooms it was worth it for an one off family adventure.
The dedication to the experience was unreal. Walking in, there is a fun waiting room with Zoltar, and other fun fortune based items you can purchase. I recommend booking in advance for best experience. Leading us to our table, there were all different themed rooms. Even the bathrooms were themed in fandom! The food is traditional pub fare, however, if you come here, you are likely planning on trying your luck on the d20. You can get a burger or shots based on your roll. I got some of the happy hour apps including the Mac and Cheese bites and the d20 shots. For food, I got the vegan burger which came with an extremely large and fresh salad. You even get a cute mimic chest to take home. There is also a set of infinity shots and let me tell you it's a show! This is a great spot to catch up with friends or a date night for a geeky couple. The staff is friendly and will keep the dungeon crawling experience going during your stay :)
I had seen recommendations when looking for things to do while we were in town. The place looked cool and different and up our alley. The menu is fairly extensive but had a lot of vegetarian options. Upon arriving they asked if we wanted to sit outside, but we preferred inside as even though they had a tent it was raining. They asked us to wait in a little front room. Multiple times someone walked through and was mumbling or said something. One time we tried to follow them and they snapped we needed to wait but we just couldn't hear what they said. When they came to sit us they sat us in a two top in like a little alcove of the wall. It was kind of an awkward place to sit and a bit cramped. It wasn't very busy. Not long after they opened the upstairs. I wish they had just told us the upstairs would be opening soon and there was more room. It was just a bit of an off putting start to the visit. They were doing a special cocktail deal and it sounded good so we tried that. It was good but nothing that stood out. My fiancé tried the mystery shot where you roll a 20 sided die to determine what shot you got which is a fun concept and could lead to trying some things you may not normally try. We decided to try the chickpea fries. These were tasty and came with a siracha aioli. They are surprisingly dense though so could be quite filling. We also tried the tofu bites which I enjoyed the flavors and textures in the dish. I felt the prices were reasonable, especially with drink specials. After we finished eating we explored to have to the chance to check out all the whole decor. That's a big part of the appeal of the place and very little was visible from our table. Overall I think if you are in the area or very into the theme I think it's worth checking out. If I lived nearby I could see it being a happy hour spot.
After hearing about this spot from a random border crossing agent, I looked it up and put it on my list for an upcoming trip. And, it was impressive! We made a reservation for opening , which is 4pm on a Monday. As we didn't want to rush to our later plans. Upon entering, there is sci-fi/ fantasy memorabilia everywhere, including a working Zoltar machine ($3 Canadian dollars for your fortune). The menu is themed throughout and there are vegetarian (and I think vegan options) as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can roll for shots as well as a section where you can roll for meal options (and even upgrade to get a prize). We had a round of shots and tried their Romulan Ale. Tried their calamari which definitely felt like it was fresh made. These were not dinky little calamari rings but nice pieces lightly fried and served with 2 sauces. I got a dungeon meal. I opted for the burger and rolled lawful neutral (if you know, you know). I opted for a salad as the side (actually rolled it). Some side salads are sad after thoughts, this was not that. It had nice slices of radish and other veggies and was lightly dressed. My partner opted for the fried fish with fries. She thought the tarter sauce needed a kick but overall it was good. We split a dessert and a boozy coffee and were on our way. Not sharing all my pictures because its better in person but I'll add a few. I'll add that I figured a spot like this would have just ok food because it's relying on theme. But, I'm glad my prediction did not come true. Also, if you go, use the bathrooms in the basement but watch out for the dead!
Ambiance: really fun environment where you are sure to find some franchise, movie series, TV show, or game that you love. Their menu, decor, music and drinks are full of references. It's a very lively atmosphere for a date or with friends. Food: the food is okay, realistically 3-3.5/5 but I think the draw here is the environment so that is ok. I had the veggie burger which had good components but together was quite bland. The chickpea fries are very creamy and tasty however. Service: Our server was very attentive, friendly, and did a great job handling a big group.
4.75 stars This place was one of the biggest highlights on our Toronto trip. My boyfriend and I absolutely loved all the unique decor and vibe of this restaurant. We sat next to the fireplace with the giant monster head (pictured) which was so fun. Even the walk to the bathroom was such a journey!! All the food items on the menu had fun names with even more entertaining descriptions. Our server was lovely and the food didn't disappoint (which is always the worry with a restaurant that attracts people based on ambiance alone). My boyfriend got the tacos and I got the turkey burger. He really loved his tacos and I enjoyed my turkey burger (though it did have a little kick which i wasn't expecting so just an fyi). The only thing we didn't love was the Wonka's Vegan Chocolate Brownie. Our server recommended a scoop of icecream with it because it can be rich and they were not wrong. The icecream was definitely what saved it for us but the brownie really was way too thick and rich to enjoy. I appreciate them having a vegan dessert option but unfortunately this was not a good selection; that's the only reason i took of .25 stars. At the end of the dinner we got playing cards with the check. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in toronto!
Our first visit in 2019 was pretty cool. The environment was such a cool novelty and there was so much to look at and so many shots. I had done the D20 shots and had a couple cocktails, I got the dungeon burger and everything was amazing. But now in 2023, we went for a birthday party. We were super excited because of how great of a time we had before. Our server Ethan was super nice and patient with our party of almost 20. The room was rented out. The music they had playing sounded like a 90s breakup playlist, that was the first issue of the night. Because we had rented a room, we thought we could have our own music. After the host, Ethan and the manager went back and forth, we managed to access Spotify on the TV and they turned off room's music, we were free to listen to Meghan Thee Stallion. We got our drinks and apps, it was staggered as people were arriving. My wife loved the princess peach. I really liked the bananas in pajamas, had I not the been the DD I would've had another. And honestly I had to drive 5 hours from then, I could've, but oh well. We got our Frank's red hot tater tots. It was like a salt mix the tater tots were in. I hadn't had that in 2019, but I probably could've ordered 10 servings lol. It was great 10/10 for that one. As the night progressed, I want to have a moment of silence for Ethan. He endured SO much. Ok moment over. I got a cappuccino which was great, but I couldn't find sugar and had to endure it without. I'm sure that's how adults drink them normally. We got Chicken Tendies and the Dungeon Burger. Here's where we had issues. The Tendies were dry, not juicy, just dry chicken encased in bland, boring crumbs. The fries were stale and old tasting. Not crispy and delicious. The dungeon burger was amazing years back. So I ordered it with as much as I could get. I spent almost $12 on extra toppings. But did I get them? No. No I did not. I got minimal bacon, cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onions and jaleps. It was $2 per extra ingredient and it really felt like they filled up on the free ingredients. Now the bun. I think as someone who's tried every restaurant gluten free bun and every one I can find in stores. I'm just confused. There's at LEAST 3 ones that don't taste like a cardboard brick. Yet EVERY restaurant seems to carry the disgusting ones. I don't get it. Same idea for pasta. All in all 3/5 for service, drinks and apps. But the mains just fell short of novelty and quality, I wouldn't go back. The burger was a scam imo and price wise it was all quite expensive.

Ventured to Storm Crow manner with my friends after hearing it was the "nerdiest bar in Canada" and left having one of best restaurant experiences ever. This place delivers top notch ambiance. You enter in, seeing a Zoltar machine (from Big) just beyond the hostess and then are ushered into one of eight themed rooms. We sat at the eclectic pub in the Star Wars themed section. Each section remains true to the theme (e.g., our section had a Han Solo stuck in carbonite). You then are given a menu with lots of options, but to stick to the nerdy gamer theme, I'd highly recommend going with the Dungeon meal, where you get your choice of pizza, burgers, poutine, or pasta and then you can roll a 20-sided die to choose each ingredient. This is where all the fun was introduced - staying with the integrity of our rolls, our table had some wacky orders, one hit (e.g., burger with steak and complementary toppings) and 2 big misses (e.g., poutine with a tator tot base, vegan gravy, bacon jam, goat cheese, and pickled cabbage). Even though the misses were massive, they opened the door to a night full of laugher as my friends painfully finished their creations. Additionally, the service is incredible! If you opt for an upgrade you can even have your meal delivered in a treasure chest! Highly recommend this spot! read more

OMG! I love it here. We stopped by for cocktails and we're so happy we did!! I'd heard great things before but had never been so was excited to try it out. While we only went for drinks, the food menu looked great and the food we saw on other tables looked delicious. If I hadn't just had dinner, I would have definitely eaten there. We went on a Friday the 13th in October so we were expecting a bit of a wait but we're pleasantly surprised by how little time it took to get a text that our table was ready. There's a little waiting room off to the side of the entrance fully decorated with geeky, spooky stuff! Reading the menu is the best part in my opinion. It's so fun to see the ways they tie in nerdy jokes and themes. Our server was really knowledgeable and nice! We did the classic D20 roll for a shot and then ordered a couple cocktails after. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I'm so excited to return to try the full menu. read more
Really cool concept with spooky/nerdy decor and fun drinks! Saw this on a TikTok and it peaked my interest. The place is full of really interesting decor, we spend a good amount of time exploring and looking around. The drinks are tied to different movies, games etc. and all are served in a really exciting way. We had a lot of fun at this bar - we weren't hungry so we didn't eat, but the food also looked really good. read more
We walked here 10 minutes from Charles street. We were seated outside around 7:30pm. We were greeted at the gate and directed to a table with another employee checking customers in. We were seated at an outside patio table. We were just here for drinks today so I will not be able to address food. Our order taker was friendly and efficient. We ordered the Romulen ale, Central city sangria and maximum effort. Wow what a wait for three drinks. We waited over minutes for our three drinks. Our server apologized for the delay. The sangria- great. The Romulan ale was great too! Has a piece of dry ice which made a nice affect. The maximum effort was smoky yet satisfying. Nice drinks nice service although slow. read more

For a restaurant that's marketed as essentially something of a gimmick, the food here is surprisingly good! My soba noodles came in an enormous bowl full of various ingredients including carrots, onions, and peanuts - mixed with an absolutely delicious sesame sauce. Not the most traditional combination, but it worked quite nicely for both flavour and texture. My only complaint is that the avocado - ordered as an add-on - was not the freshest... My friend's pizza was very much enjoyed, with a fluffy, thick crust and tons of cheese. However, the side of poutine disappointed a bit as the lack of sufficient gravy made the fries rather dry. The food nevertheless exceeded our expectations - a satisfactory meal overall. We went for lunch this time, so it might be worth a return visit for the night ambience and cocktails. The service was excellent. All of the staff were super friendly and attentive. We never had to wait around for anything. Water was (mostly) consistently refilled, everything came promptly, the waiter accommodated our requests and was knowledgeable about the menu. There's a real sense of welcome here. The most impressive part was, of course, the interior and the decorations and games making this restaurant a one-of-a-kind: a fun and cool experience for all my fellow nerds (any Dungeons & Dragons players here?). A sports bar for nerds, with rooms decorated in various themes. The food is tasty enough, and the drinks, while a bit pricy, are nice. It's gotten better, and the chickpea logs have gotten less likely to kill a man. Is it fun if you can't name three of a beholder's eye powers or five Enterprise captains? No idea. They've dug deep into merchandising during the pandemic, so you can get a variety of things. Hope it bounced back in post-lockdown days. read more

When visiting Toronto, we had this on our list as a spot we wanted to visit and it did not disappoint! From the food to the staff to the ambiance, Storm Crow Manor was a lot of fun and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a unique restaurant with friendly people and a eclectic menu. We came here on a Thursday and the place was super busy - it felt like it was very full and although we came without a reservation, we were lucky enough to snag a table in the Star Wars room within a few minutes. The hostess was pretty busy running around to check if tables were free, but she was super friendly and kind about it so waiting wasn't a bother. Their menu is mainly just comfort food with fries and burgers, but it was still pretty extensive so we had a good selection of food. We started with the random dice shots and I was lucky to roll a natural 20 so I received a double shot - it was a very simple lemon vodka mix, but was certainly strong enough especially on an empty stomach. The white sangria I got after that was pretty good - not too sweet, but still super tasty! Our food came out without us having to wait too long after that and all the dishes were delicious in their own way. We saw the chickpea fries on someone else's table and had to order them for ourselves - great sauce, interesting texture, but overall a good choice! The poutine also didn't disappoint, I usually don't like soggy fries but I didn't notice the softness this time and just enjoyed the gravy and cheese which was nice. The burger for me was huge - the size of the Hulk one is definitely something to note! It was delicious regardless, but I couldn't finish it given all the food ordered. The salad was super nice also, it very much felt like thought went into it rather than just dressing and lettuce mixed together. Our waitress was nice but hard to flag down at times - it was just so busy and the space was super cramped so it's understandable though. Ambiance: (5 stars) Each room has a different scenary, one of them from the shining. The drinks similarly come in a scary fashion, with lots of fry ice making it seem like smoking. The items on the menus are names after famous scary movies... Food: (5 stars) Got the two pastas, both outstanding. Friends previously got french onion soup and garden of eden pizza and we're delighted by it. Service: (4 stars) Very friendly staff. M friend brought me here saying that it is "nerd haven". In terms of the decor and atmosphere, that was definitely true. You can see references to "geek culture" all over the walls, in the menu, and even with the sound system. The menu items were definitely a fun time. As for the food, we weren't entirely hungry so we only ordered the chickpea fries and two drinks. The food was ok, nothing to write home about but not horrible. I do think it was a bit costly for the amount we got, but I also think that any "themed" restaurants charge a bit more for the experience, so I won't hold it against them. The service was decent, and the server came to check up on us often, which was nice as well. The washroom was annoying though. They're all the way at the basement so, if you're upstairs, you have to go down several flights of stairs to get there. They're also narrow quite narrow. read more

Stopped by on a sunny Sunday afternoon for some drinks and bites on the patio. It is a nerdy themed pub in the north Village that will appeal to Klingon, Hogwarts and other nerd types. Created themed names for food and drinks and lots of nerdy decorated rooms and atmosphere. I could see this being fun for an evening with a group. Food is pub-like variety and quality and was decent overall (3.5/5): - Dungeon Poutine - like the customizable options to create your own mix - type of fries, gravy, cheese, protein, toppings. Not bad. - Margherita Pizza - was not bad for a pub... enjoyed it! - Hawaiian Pizza - OK... bit on the bland side. - Sweet N Spicy Chicken Bites - wasn't to my taste. - Helios Helles Lager - was a nice light summer beer. Service was good - attentive and friendly staff (4.5/5) Atmosphere was good - The patio which was comfortable - we got a table with cushioned chairs and sun umbrellas. Although we didn't go inside I could see it being a fun, interesting night in there. (4/5) Overall 4/5. I would return. read more

Found this nerdy place upon looking around the area, glad I found it. I unfortunately did not take any photos inside or of the food and drinks. I loved the decor and atmosphere here, I came when there were DND campaigns going on. The food was great. If you're unsure of what to get, just ask the staff for recommendations. I asked my waitress, and I went with her favorite, and I was not disappointed. I got some tater tots, and she recommended some kinda gravy to go on the side for them. Also, it was a great recommendation as it was delicious. I would highly recommend checking it out and getting one of the random shota where you roll a d-20 to pick your drink (very fun) read more

Cool spot to hang with friends or for dates, especially during Halloween for those spooky vibes. They have nice music and were playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer on TV. For food, I think it's pretty typical pub food. If they could improve on that and maybe have a more creative menu, it would really elevate them even more. For example: making spooky themed food like how they do with their drinks. Portions are huge, very filling. I tried their Butter Beer drink and Dungeon Burger. You can roll the dice to see what burger toppings you will get and change it to your preference as well. I tried it and found it amusing. For drinks, they have something similar with shots. You roll the dice and depending on number you get a unique shot from their menu. My friend tried and enjoyed it. Note: There are a lot of steps so go for ground floor if you have mobility issues! They have a few areas inside full of tables for groups and private rooms for parties of 2. If they are fully booked with reservations try just going there in person day of to see if they have tables. This place is a whole vibe. If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait up to two hours on a night like Halloween. Even though I waited two hours, the security guards and host were kind enough to let us wait on the patio and provide us with updates about the waitlist. The food was so good and the drinks were so fun! The bartenders were super kind and answered all our questions and chatted with us for a bit. The decor inside is spooky themed. Came by to Storm Crow Manor for drinks and a bite. Their website mentions their sci-fi theme and seemed like a fun place to visit. We sat inside in one of their theme rooms. It took a while for the server to arrive but when she finally did, we were happy with the service. She was very nice and helpful with any question. We ordered two "PI Me To The Moon" cocktails. They have gin, egg whites, and a lemon vanilla syrup. They were quite tasty but I think could have used a bit more gin. We ordered the vegeta-bowl with noodles to share. It's veggie soba noodles with a peanut sauce. The noodles were super tasty and creamy. The decor of the restaurant is really cool inside and outside. Each area is decorated differently with various themes ranging from Star Wars, The Shining and others. Definitely a fun place to grab drinks and a bite. read more
