After hearing the most incredible reviews about Goods & Provisions, I finally made it there! WOO! A cozy venue with low lighting and a relaxed vibe, tapas style. The focal point is the large bar with marble countertops and decorated with candles. They are high top tables, bar seating as well as regular tables. I ordered the Tuna Tostadas and we shared the Triple Cooked Fries. The tostadas were not easy to eat, but so worth it. The crunchy leeks paired with the creamy textures of the tuna and avocado made for an interesting combination. The tortillas were hard, so it was a challenge to eat without some of the leeks falling off, but so so tasty. Those fries tho. Those sexy shoestring fries with a generous dollop of garlic aioli topped with fresh chives. The bowl was more than enough for the 2 of us. Even though we were full, we couldn't stop eating them! G&P also offers a fabulous variety signature cocktails, natural wine, bourbon and of course, beer. There's a lovely selection of meats and cheeses for some charcuterie...if you WANT to share, that is. #NotAChance TL;DR Tasty tapas. Fries are awesome. Service is fab. Great spot for a date. Fancy drinks for all!

Stopped in for post-event drinks and joined some friends. Tasty drinks, friendly service - our server gave me great wine recommendations after I enjoyed a deliciously strong hibiscus margarita. Definitely need to go back!

This review is based solely on the "Cocktail" Hour that Goods & Provisions offers everyday from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Half price on all beers, wines and 3 selected cocktails (you will see the symbol CH next to those!) Their taps are mainly imports but if I can drink a Delerium Tremens for $4, I am not complaining! There are also some bottles to select from if you prefer more local beer like a Beau's Lugtread Lager (600 ml) for $5.50! I was really tempted to order some snack: duck fat frites and even some oysters.. I guess there will be a next time...

Here for the first time, and will return soon. Atmosphere and staff were awesome, knowledgeable and helpful. The cocktails all looked interesting, but being a fan of bourbon, I had the "Old Fascist" with was wonderfully complex. My GF and I shaded the spring salad which was darn near perfect, but the take on a cheeseburger - prime rib patty with bordelaise was the absolute BEST burger I have had to date. Many more interesting things on the menu to try soon. (my mouth is watering again just typing this...)

Mercal sour and hand and glove

3.5 stars! Cocktails are the way to go here! I liked the mezcal sour and hand and glove a lot because they were sweet and had a cool foam. I didn't like the old fascist because of the strong alcoholic taste, but definitely good for ya'll bourbon drinkers. The penicillin was ok, but I prefer the sweeter drinks with foam. The verdict on food: Faves: Taco tostadas - delicious! Fully loaded. The tuna was juicy. The onion flakes and sauce were so good! Everyone should get this! A+ Buttermilk chicken: crispy and had a kick. Not bad. Only three pieces though. B+ Meh: Bone marrow: there wasn't enough of it. One of the marrows was so tiny. The marrow seemed to have shrunk in the baking process, but it wasn't too salty which I liked. B- Smoked trout and asparagus: nicely presented but the trout felt like it came out of a can. Asparagus was nicely prepared. Soft, but not overlooked. B- We spent $130 for 4 drinks and 4 dishes (not including tips). This place has more of a bar feel so i would definitely come for drinks and snacks, but not to have a meal again because it's pricey, not filling, and meals aren't their speciality in my opinion. Reminded of me of bar ravel with seats and tables. Servers were very nice and took care of us!

Korean Tacos

Maybe I was expecting too much from reviews and blogs but I wasn't blown away however I would say it's definitely above average compared to other TO restaurants. Great ambiance and service. The food was different but as mentioned not blown away, was kinda expecting to be blown away like how I was when I had really good tapas in Barcelona. Anyhow the 2 special appetizers were blood sausage on toast with creme fresh and pulled pork croquette. Both were intriguing but I'm not dieing to try it again. The main was Korean tacos, which to me basically just tasted like it was described, I was expecting some kinda new combined taste but the ingredients were really fresh. Steak was really tender but maybe too much butter, the duck fat frets just tasted like regular fries? I'm in the DT core so I probably won't be back out to the east side, instead if I'm in the area I'll probably go to Chino Locos again.

The hotel lobby was nicely decorated for the holiday season, with a Christmas tree, large "Happy Holidays" sign, and other festive decorations. The ambiance inside the restaurant, just like the rest of the hotel, was classy. Service was good. There was an option to do coat check at the front. Reservation is highly recommended, especially on weekends, as they tend to get very busy. Underground parking is available at the RBC building next door, or at the hotel. Food was really good, and in decent portion sizes. The sides were bigger than we thought, so we took away some leftovers. 1) PEI Mussels Pot (mussels with bell pepper & red onion vinaigrette), served with grilled sourdough bread - The bell pepper and red onion vinaigrette was delicious and on point. I liked that the pot had enough but not too much broth - enough to dip the bread in, but didn't fully cover all the mussels (making the mussels retain some of their original flavour). 2) Miso Black Cod (black cod with sake, miso, crispy lotus roots, sesame seeds, pea shoots) - One of my favourite dishes of the night. The cod was delicate and seasoned perfectly with the sake and miso. The crispy lotus roots added a nice crunch. 3) Mushrooms Bowl (jasmine rice, miso mixed mushrooms, roasted squash, crispy Brussels sprouts, cherry tomatoes, chilli threads, garlic crisps, basil) - Great vegetarian dish. There was a LOT of rice in the bowl, and the rice was flavourful with the miso sauce. The mixed mushrooms were 10/10. I also liked the balance of cooked and raw vegetables in this bowl, giving a touch of freshness. For each main, we got to choose 1 side. We opted to add extra veggie sides. Brussels Sprouts were also available as appetizer, which came in a large bowl (bigger portion size compared to the side). We were able to get it without the bacon, and the vinaigrette sauce on the side. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy and flavourful, even without the vinaigrette add-on. The Grilled Vegetables side consisted of broccolini, zucchini, red and yellow peppers. Roasted Squash was lightly topped with a bit of chopped parsley. All of the sides that we got were excellent. After dinner, we headed out to the patio / terrace for the Christmas holiday market. There was a separate holiday market-special menu, with some light bites and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). It was a small market, but decorated very nicely with all the lights, fire pits, and the iconic Ritz-Carlton vintage green car. It had 100% cozy Christmas holiday vibes, with great photo ops. Even though it was technically outside, the fire pits made the market area feel quite warm.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!
