Dined here for Valentines Day and they had a $80 Prix Fixe Menu which we didn't know until we got there. Started off with a caesar salad and corn ribs. Absolutely enjoyed the corn the most, it was a flavorful appetizer that included parmesan, spicy aioli, tajin, and chives. For mains I got their Japanese Kobe Burger along with a ton of fries on the side and aioli dip. For dessert I got their New York Style cheesecake and it was divine. It was still warm and perfect dessert to end the meal! But, I do not think it was well worth the $80. Service was good but sometimes it was difficult to get the staffs attention since there was only 2 of them on a busy night. Ambiance is great for a date night with your bestie or partner.

Went here for happy hour and food is generally good and reasonably priced. I found some of the things (steak/brocollini) to be oversalted but otherwise the food had good seasoning. Good portion sizes. Note: The steak frites for happy hour is now 6oz instead of 7oz. Bathroom is quite clean. Restaurant isn't too loud and service was good.

Here for Happy Hour - great value and the restaurant has cool vibe as well. Had beef tartare, taco, steak frites and beet salad.

Strange aura but good food. The vibe of the restaurant was bizarre-- mismatched chairs, neon lights, lots of disco ball decor. We tried the steak frites and rigatoni vodka. Excellent food, just not the best ambiance.

Steak platter with fries, corn and Caesar salad

I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant- both food and service wise. Our server was a lively and lovely guy. I asked for a mocktail and he just whipped up something delicious! Our group shared the meal so we ordered the steak platter for 2 (came with fries, roasted corn ribs with parmigiana, and Caesar salad); broccolini with sautéed shallots ; and salmon tartare . The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the corn ribs doused in parmigiana cheese was a hit! The broccolini was the perfect veggie to cut through the meats; the salmon tartare was the freshness the night needed We were told the upstairs patio would be opening soon and they would have music nights shortly. Looking forward to checking this out one summer night This meal was more than enough for 3 people

They serve pasta, steak and variety of appetizers. We got corn ribs, tomato rigatoni and fries. The portions are generous and the pasta was tasty. On Thursday they have 50% off rose. The service was good. Great ambiance for date night or night out with friends. I will recommend their happy your menu which until 630 and starts again after 9.

The food here exceeded my expectations! Our server was kind enough to chat with us about her experience and recommendations (one of which was to try the steak and fries with the pasta sauce - scoring recommendation!) The food was delicious and flavoured - the corn was seasoned perfectly as well. It's a smaller restaurant so it is a bit on the louder side but I recommend their happy hour (I'll be back for it!)

A hidden gem! I was able to try a couple things on the menu, and I can't wait to go back to try more! I came in a party of two and our meal started with the corn ribs appetizer, which were super flavorful and satisfying, albeit a bit tricky to eat. We then moved onto a ravioli dish, as well as the happy hour-steak frites, which were both amazing! The pasta sauce on that ravioli dish is the perfect amount of creaminess and spice. I would return just for that pasta! The steak frites were very satisfying, and very good value during happy hour! The restaurant itself is warm and comforting, and the waitstaff are very attentive. I asked about the sauce on the pasta and they were able to get an answer from the chef in no time. Overall a very good experience and will be back!

Corn ribs were excellent, service was very good, and the steak frites and rigatoni were good as well. The corn ribs were very messy to eat, so offering wet naps would be a nice touch. The bathrooms were clean, but I did notice that there was no toilet paper in the stall that I used. Also, there were no paper towels to dry my hand , so care in this area would be appreciated. Overall, a good experience

Happy hour prices here are quite captivating. $20 for steak and fries, $16 for fries, happy hour from 4-630! Service here was good and bad. They got my order wrong, ordered tomahawk for 2 as opposed but got the tomahawk platter for 2. After notifying the waitress we were only charged for the tomahawk for 2. Then the mozzarella sticks our friend ordered came cold inside, after getting a replacement, it was still cold. Ultimately they cancelled the order and got an explanation, but was hoping for apology sticks. Tomahawk steak - was cooked medium (no choice) and pre-cut. Steak came with chimichurri and mayo. Steak was okay, but underseasoned. The chimichurri was savory so kinda saved the steak. Not sure if I liked mayo on the steak... Fries were fried well and came with ketchup and mayo, really good. Mozzarella sticks were a bit underwhelming, no cheese pull, batter on the outside was thick and overseasoned. Corn ribs were fun and saucy. For the happy hour prices of 125, the platter is a pretty good price! The weird service and inconsistency in food means only 3*.

mom's spaghetti sweet corn ribs rigatoni alla vodka mocktail

As soon as I walked through the doors, the ambiance, lighting and atmosphere felt warm and chic - a perfect place for a night out! I got the mom's spaghetti - a classic but tasted so good! The portion size was larger than expected. I got the chance to try the rigatoni and the sweet corn ribs too! I found those to be my favourite. I'm not usually a corn person, but the sauces and flavouring that came with the corn made me crave more. The staff was super friendly, always checking in on us to make sure everything was to tasting. They also made a mocktail for us since we weren't feeling a cocktail that night.

Read some reviews on the customer service here and ambiance, but we were in the neighbourhood and thought it was still worth it to give this place a try. The $19 steak frites (during happy hour) were the main feature that was so attractive to us and did not disappoint. Separate from that we had the mom's spaghetti which although a large portion, was unfortunately a bit bland. Our dessert too, the molten chocolate lava cake, did not molten. So strike off two for the mom's spaghetti and molten lava cake. Despite this, the rest of the dishes were heavy hitters in terms of flavor. Best picks: - Street corn ribs - these should be heavily featured as they're amazing! - Beef Tartare - seasoned beautifully and a decent second place fav - Mozarella sticks - not just cheese sticks but deep fried triangles almost like a stuffed hashbrown. The bartenders, servers and manager were all very attentive, checked on us throughout the meal and respectfully asked for genuine criticism/feedback which was definitely sincere. Will definitely add this to the list of spots to hit up when we're in the area, for the $19 steak frites and street corn ribs!

Impeccable. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive without being overbearing. I felt welcomed from the second I walked through the door. I ordered the Avocado Salmon Toast paired with the beautifully pink and perfectly named Pink Flamingo drink. My friend went for the Sweet Berry Waffle and a classic lemonade. Let me just say--the flavors did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh, creamy avocado was piled high, and the toppings were thoughtfully layered. My only tiny critique (and I say this with love): the toast itself was a little too crispy for my liking. It made the dish a bit tricky to cut into, and the texture leaned dry. Next time, I'll definitely ask for it untoasted or lightly toasted. A softer base would really let those flavors shine without the crunch competing. Now let's talk about that Pink Flamingo--WOW. It was tropical, sweet, and honestly gave me vacation-in-a-glass vibes. I almost ordered a second, but adulting (and budgeting) called me back to reality. That said, it's worth every sip! I snuck a few bites from my friend's Sweet Berry waffles, and yep--I'm getting that next time!! Light, fruity, tasty!! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Who knows, maybe next time I'll get to sample a few more dishes Seriously though--support local and give this place a try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

The ambiance of the place is spectacular as well with a cool, library naturally, vibe. The servers were also great and helped accommodate my date who is gluten free, and her baguette replacement was the best that she'd ever had of a gluten free option. It hosted royalty, heads of state, and golden-age Hollywood legends like Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock when they were in town filming or staying upstairs in the hotel. Stepping inside is like time-traveling back decades, with velvet seating, brass accents, and dark, moody lighting. As soon as you walk into the Library Bar, the real centerpiece that grabs your attention is the massive oil portrait above the fireplace. That dignified gentleman watching you sip your drink is George Locke, the very first chief librarian of the Toronto Public Library. I love that a librarian is the patron saint of this bar! The drinks here aren't just cocktails; they're chapters in a story. The current menu, titled "Ink & Alchemy," is actually inspired by Michael Ondaatje's famous novel In the Skin of a Lion.
