Omventure, previously known as Omescape, has been around for a long time for good reason. Their escape rooms are incredibly produced, technologically advanced, and uniquely immersive. Just a top-tier escape room experience with some of the highest production value. My group and I did Hong Kong After Dark. It was a 2 hour escape room and about $70 per person. It'll be one of my most memorable experiences just based on how amazing the set looked. The puzzles were complex, engaging, and fit into the story so well. You can tell the people running the place are super passionate about creating the best escape room experience. We did have a slight hiccup where the room didn't reset halfway through. We waltzed through a door and everything was already unlocked and lit up. Staff were on top of it though and immediately came in and fixed it. Everything proceeded smoothly afterwards. I've done other rooms before in both locations, a long time ago though. I remember them all being extremely detailed and fun but this one might be one of my favourites yet. read more

Omventure is Toronto's premium escape rooms and board game cafe. They have 3 locations (Mississauga, Scarborough, and Markham), where this particular location is located in Markham, near Woodbine and Esna Park Drive. The entrance of Omventure is somewhat hidden where it faces the back of a big building housing several different businesses (mainly restaurants). A great place for kids, teens, families, as well as young adults, the space houses a variety of escape rooms with different difficulty levels, where there is a suggested number of people needed per room. Depending on the difficulty of the escape room, you are given either 60 min, 90 min, or 120 min to solve or escape the room. You are able to book your escape room ahead of time, which is highly recommended. They do have family and kid friendly escape rooms available as well. Also, the use of phones is not allowed when you play the escape rooms - if you do decide to bring your phone into the escape room and use it, you can cause your time in the escape room to end early (they have security footage throughout the rooms). This location also has an expansive board game area with many large tables and many games as well as a cafe selling bubble tea and snacks. There is also a gaming area with video game consoles as well. My party of 4 stopped by Omventure on a Saturday evening where we had booked the escape room "Kingdom of Cats" (60 min, 3/5 difficulty, best for 3-8 people). Upon entering, you pay at the counter where you can get discounts if you follow them on social media or if it is your birthday. Once ready, your belongings are placed in a single locker and you are asked to watch a video explaining the rules of the escape room. Staff also provide you with a walkie talkie where you can ask for unlimited hints if you are really stuck. Afterwards, staff lead you to your particular escape room. My party and I managed finish the "Kingdom of Cats" escape room in the allotted time, although we had to ask staff twice as we were stuck with what to do next. This particular escape room required us to solve puzzles and riddles while paying attention to our surroundings. There was a bit of crawling as we headed to at least 4 different rooms. It may seem confusing where to begin at first when you are placed in the room but with teamwork and communication, you end up figuring out what to do to move to the next step. This particular escape room isn't scary, but it is kid friendly and fun. The 60 min really flew by just like that as we had to use our brains in order to figure things out. I haven't done a lot of escape rooms but this one was really nicely designed with lots of details throughout. Moving through the different rooms was pretty cool and finding the clues and working as a team together allowed us to escape and finish. After we were finished with the escape room, staff came to get us and took our picture on the stage where we could choose different boards to hold up. Nice touch as a souvenir of the fun time you had while you were there. For an additional fee you can also play as many board games if you'd like, but we decided not to. Overall, a fun escape room adventure for everyone! Would love to try the more difficult and scary ones next time. Omventure is a fun spot for kids, teens, and young people to hang out, celebrate birthdays, or just get together with friends. Apparently it's been around for a long time but I never realize its existence until now! It's a bit tucked away at the back of the Diana Seafood plaza on Woodbine. You might need to loop around the parking lot to find it, but it's certainly worth it once you are inside. The space is fine and decently laid out, so even with multiple groups, it does not feel overcrowded. They offer eight escape rooms, four game console stations, plenty of board games, a photo-taking area with fun signages, an open beverage bar (non-alcoholic... probably), and lots of good-sized tables for groups. It is a great setup for parties. We booked a birthday package that included three hours of hangout time (board games, consoles, photo area), one large pizza, eight drinks, and a one-hour escape room for eight kids. Paper plates and cutlery were provided, and parents could relax while the kids played. Bring your own cake and other refreshments with no hassle. Well-manner staffs are helpful and easy to work with. At around CAD $430 including tax, it felt reasonable, especially since the kids had an absolute blast. read more

I have done a handful of escape rooms around the GTA and I think Omventure is my favourite. Their rooms are creative and have really cool components to them. I have done the Kingdom of Cats a few years ago, and it had a tunnel you have to crawl through. I recently did the Project Sphere one and there was a mini laser room. The puzzles for the most part are solvable and with some hints, we were able to escape both rooms on time. The staff are often really nice and helpful when you need a clue. There are also board games and café for drinks. read more

Great place to hang out with friends! Omventure has multiple escape rooms and plenty of board games to choose from! Omventure has great deals! If your group decides to do board games and an escape room, you can get a discount. Plus, you get a free drink included. I got the Lychee Dragonfruit drink with less ice and less sugar and it tasted great. There's also a $3 discount for sharing your visit on social media. We chose the Penitentiary escape room and it was lots of fun and elaborate! We weren't successful but we were very close! Omventure did not cheap out with their design, effects, and props for the escape room. Omventure also has a couple of game consoles included with their board games. Our group didn't spend too much time with the board games, but we did play Anomia, which was lots of fun. I also saw Telestrations, which I also recommend to play if you have a group. Staff are all very friendly and helpful during our visit. They provided us with a free locker during our duration for the escape room and gave us helpful hints when we were stuck via walkie-talkie. Staff also informed us we were able to go out and return the same day without an added charge for the board games. Overall, Omventure is great for groups and couples. I'll probably be back to play a different escape room and some more board games! read more

I came here and did my first escape room experience and really enjoyed it! We tried the "Project Sphere" experience with our group of 5. When we arrived, the staff checking us in helped us get a few discounts, including ones for sharing a promotion on social media, as well as one for a recent birthday. The game was very well organized and run. We closed our eyes and were brought back to the starting room, and worked through each of the puzzles. Staff are available by radio in case you need a hint or get stuck. The puzzles were well thought out, and required us to work together to solve, which made it fun. They also have a large selection of board games and video games that you can play before starting your escape room reservation. They do charge per person in order to play their games, but also include a drink with the price. read more

Upgraded escape rooms. Most games are 1.5h-2h long, so it is more expensive than the usual escape room. We tried the robocop room. The set up was cool, but thought a few of the tasks were too long/repetitive. There was also malfunction with one of the props.. which wasted some time. Staff was helpful though. Went here on a Saturday afternoon to kill some time. If you are interested in the escape rooms here, make sure to book ahead. There were no rooms available when we walked in, and the next room wasn't available till late at night. We opted to play board games for an admission fee which included one complementary drink. Ordered the matcha oat milk which was not too sweet. The staff brought our drinks to the table we were sitting at so we could continue playing our game. There is a decent selection of board games, card games, and even video games (though you need to request the controller/console you want to play from the staff, and they bring it to you). The board and card games can be taken from the shelf itself. Great place to hang around for a couple hours. It can get noisy with other groups playing in the same area but I'd like to say it makes it a lively atmosphere! The escape room themes definitely look appealing and fun. My friends and I decided to check out this exclusive 2-hour escape room called Hong Kong After Dark at Omescape. I've always heard really good reviews from my friends for other escape rooms on the premise! We are particularly exciting about this Hong-Kong themed room because it is triad-related and we watched a lot of these action movies while growing up! Reservation was made easy online; pay for a deposit, and you pay the rest when you get there. $3 off if you follow/post on social media. All players will have to sign in on a piece of paper, and one of the staff will prompt you to explain the game rules. We were given a walkie-talkie, and you can ask for unlimited help - recommended to ask for help if you've been stuck for 5 minutes! I guess you don't have to know Chinese to play this escape room game, but it would certainly help if you have a good understanding of the culture! It looks scary inside but it's actually not scary lol. It says to be for 4-10 people. I think having 10 people would be beneficial hahaha... we had 6 and we were still going around like headless chickens! We ended up failing the mission but I'd would 100% go back again (to the same room) just to ace all the mini games and challenges. read more

Great place to go with friends! Love the Robot Apocalypse Room, very hands on interactive. Good mix of puzzles and use of 4 players simultaneously no spoiler here but it's pretty obvious ...love the attention to decor, although some parts still needed more light which is a problem for all escape rooms. I'm not old or blind but this dark ambience lighting is just distracting and makes it harder to see the puzzles. The Cat room had too many lock style puzzles at first which was very repetitive, but really love moving room to room and keeping each room small so you can really focus. This room seemed like it would be easy since it's kid themed but there was a chess and math challenge, when do kids learn about bedmas?? Lots of parking, lots of spacious room to play board games or retro games with friends. Big stage for success photos, small drink bar for bubble teas and fries. Warnings 1) drinks take awhile! We waited almost 30 mins for all four of our drinks to be served and there wasn't anyone before us. We had to leave them in the fridge as our game was starting but they were decent quality and the boba was perfectly cooked. 2) only two washrooms! One room for each gender is not enough. So give yourself enough time before your game starts. The owner was very nice, lots of discounts when you check in on his accepted social media sites and even gave us extra time to finish the room which never happens! We were first to start on a Saturday but by noon the place was full of people. We also needed probably too many hints, and they were quick to respond which is appreciated. Ok so I am not a huge escape room afficianado or never actually won of of these things, but The Penitentiary at Omniscape was a lot of fun. The manner of sorcial effects and the rewarding 'thunk' when a door unlocks or something drops made the 20 to 30 minutes to figure one element out most satisfying. The staff was enthusiastic and helpful, and allowed several hints during the event, and offered a few discounts while a bit steep, the effects and the time that went into the theme was well in display. A bit confounding and difficult, but I assume it was tested with a BETA and other teams likely would have won (sour grapes?). It was my first time going to the Markham Omescape location and my friends and I had a good time. The location is smaller than the Scarborough location but I had a much better time here. They have a Presotea so you can buy bubble tea and it also sells snacks like chips and fries. They also have a wide assortment of boardgames, videogame consoles and tables to play at as well. We got there a bit early so we grabbed some bubble tea. The bubble tea was made well and was tasty. Once we sat down to chat and wait for our game to start, the staff came over and let us know that our purchase of drinks allowed us to also play boardgames for free. We appreciated that they let us know, so we grabbed a game to play. (They have an informative board game list available on the shelf to help you choose which to play). The place was clean and the staff were friendly. They also provide wi-fi. We played the Kingdom of Cats and without trying to give too much away: it's ranked as 3/5 difficulty. Allows 3-8 players and has a time limit of 1 hour. The storyline is that you've accidentally joined an ongoing championship battle. So you have to complete the tournament or be imprisoned forever. Personally, I felt like the storyline and gameplay didn't really match up. It doesn't feel like you're vying on a battlefield in a championship battle made for cats. At most that you're a human stuck in a building in a land for cats. Also they seem to need some repair. There's one puzzle that utilizes your sense of smell. Some of it seems to be worn down with no smell at all so they should restore or replace the scents. Visually, the room was cute. The tech utilized worked well and made it fun. (As opposed to my trip to the Scarborough location where the tech failed numerous times and ruined the entire gameplay - see my Omescape Scarborough review). The puzzles themselves, for the most part, were well thought out. It's very linear gameplay with direct instructions. It's great for those who don't have much experience with escape rooms. After my horrendous experience with the Scarborough location, I didn't go in with high expectations but it ended up being a good time. I appreciate that they have bubbletea, boardgames and videogames as well. Seems like it'd be fun just to go back for that. Especially if they get food or more snacks available. Overall, I enjoyed myself and would go back to this location. read more

Participated most recently on August 2 and 3, 2022 in Project Sphere & Robotcalypse, respectively, but have done many escape rooms here over the years. Most people agreed the puzzles in Project Sphere were harder. The props in the rooms here are phenom! Kudos for the ones used in Robotcalypse. It's nice they give a small social media discount, but would be even better if Yelp was one of them. Ambiance is understandable but it wouldn't kill to turn up the lights more in these rooms. Think they serve drinks here, and there's a ton of board games on one side of the room with plenty of space to play (tho there might be a fee). read more

Took our skating team for year-end team building and the kids had great fun. Due to the max number of people in each room, we had to separate our group. Staff gave instructions and led each group in eyes closed choo-choo train style. We heard some screams but they all said it was fun. Afterwards when everyone was out, pizza was served and they got a choice of beverage from the fridge. There is a huge game wall with games divided by age and category. I highly recommend! read more

By far my favourite board game place! For a decent price of $10 you get unlimited board games and $4 off a bubble tea or yogen fruz. There's a great variety of games ranged from skillful to simple fun party games. Games are well sorted and multiple versions of the same game are available. Terrible experience, faulty room, ripped off. We booked Hong Kong After Dark, which costs $60 per person, and had 5 people. The room malfunctioned, which wasn't obvious, so we weren't aware we were working on the wrong step. We asked for a hint, followed staff directions, but it didn't work. The staff member was confused, came in and made 6+ failed attempts to fix it. We had to wait quite a while, so we asked for a refund, but the staff member just left and sent someone else in. We waited and by the time it was fixed, there was still half of this 2 hour escape room left to complete in less than 20 minutes. We were only given an extra 10 minutes to make up for the malfunction, no other compensation, just money and time wasted. We worked on the next step for a little bit, then had to get walked through the rest. Very unfortunate experience and management really didn't care that we were ripped off. read more

It was soooo soo fun that we want to go back for more. Even though we didn't get out, the staff was super friendly and nice to show us the last few puzzles that we needed to solve to get out. Great experience They offer discount if you follow them on social media, and just show them when you're paying Inside Omescape, it's also designed like a board game cafe, they have snacks, bubble tea and food available for purchase. Loved it here! I thought this place was only for escape room but boy was I wrong. This location also offered board games, where you paid a flat fee of only $10.95 + tax (cheaper with social media check-in?), you not only get unlimited access to the boards games and video games they had, but it included a FREE Presotea token that you could redeem when you were feeling thirsty after playing for a while. It's a great place to challenge your friends with some board games after escaping the rooms as a team, or to have some fun competitions with your SO. I don't do escape rooms because "why pay to escape when you can be free for free?" so no review on that there. Like, if I pay for a scary escape room, I'd better end up dying. That being said, this is a great spot to hang out with friends because it's a more low-key, more asian board game cafe complete with the presotea and all. You pay just under $13 and you get unlimited board games AND a free bubbletea. They offer a large bbt menu, straight from presotea and froyo. It comes pretty slow though. Every time I've been there, it's taken them approximately 45-1 hour to deliver 1 bbt to our table. Maybe the processing time is long? Unsure. There are a lot of board games available and even video games. They have a large variety, including the main and most popular ones. Some games are out of date and need to be replaced - the cards against humanity one, obviously the most popular, upon crowds is grimy and sticky. We play this every time we come here and we all rush to wash our hands after. Some games are missing instructions while others are missing pieces. They do have a suggestion sheet @ the game shelf though. 90% of the other ones are alright though. Service is always good, the people that work here are super nice! At no fault of the establishment, booked four 13 year olds to the Penitentiary escape room and barely made out of the initial small cells within the first 25 mins. Definitely harder than expected. Unfortunately, one of the escape items wasn't working and batteries had to be swapped out, which took time away from the game. Thankfully, the attendants gave us an extra 3 mins, which really didn't help. At the end, one of the attendants showed us the steps needed to escape and complete the game. Will be choosing a less challenging escape room next time if booking for these girls in the near future. Note, there's a birthday discount for the birthday person, but has to be within a few days of the booking. Plus, you're not allowed to bring in cell phones or purses, hence no pictures. Otherwise, great fun with a bunch of screaming teenagers! Free parking at the facility. read more

The absolute best escape room I've been to so far. The rooms are set up great and maintained fairly well, while the puzzles vary in difficulty throughout the game. We won the Kingdom of Cats one but failed the Dark Alter, but they let us stay until we figured it out :). Would definitely come back here again - and don't forget to check in on Social media for a small discount! Food and drink prices were pricey but they do offer a free drink with the purchase of entry game play ticket. We came solely for the game boards but they do have escape rooms as well which a lot of big groups were coming in for! Great service, and great variety of games! My family decided we haven't been fighting each other enough lately and decided to try an escape room. Tip: BOOK IN ADVANCE! This place gets crazy busy during the weekends so we ended up grabbing the 10PM slot. There is a video showing you the basic idea of your DOs and DONTs (ie. don't climb on things). Then you're basically blindfolded as they lead you into your room. We had the Dark Altar: "An archeology fanatic is the head of the mysterious and spooky Copenheimer Museum, where he hopes to use a dark ritual to give himself eternal, Godly power. Those who enter the museum must face the dark power and stop the ritual before it's too late." I really give this experience a SOLID 5 stars. Our family had so much fun playing this. The employees even extended our time, as no one else was in line after us, so we can "solve" the last couple of riddles. The only con is that the price is a little hefty. read more

Came here with a party of 6 to take on the Project Sphere (Mysterious Study) game and got the honour of writing our team name at the top of the monthly leader board... NO BIGGIE! Honestly, it was a really fun room with many complex yet engaging puzzles! The special effects and props were all really cool and I'd definitely come back in the future to try out the other rooms. Although the base price is fairly expensive (~$30), I like that you only have to pay an additional $5 after completing an escape room for unlimited board game play and a drink from the partnering Presotea. Some of the games could use a bit of TLC (some are kinda gross and falling apart) but for the most part, there's a good selection of games and the seating area is spacious. read more

Tons of escape rooms popped up in recent years across the GTA. By far, for rooms, this is the best place to be. They seem very detailed and organized in the rooms where as other locations I've been to tend to have very worn out props they just haven't replaced. The clues are easy enough to figure out but just challenging enough to kinda get in your way. Depends what level you choose really. They also have bubble tea and board games in house for an extra fee. It seems to be a nice place to hang out with a group, but I think $$-wise, this place is a bit expensive for a casual hang out or making it some regular activity. I think it's the best escape room in terms of quality, but they lack a star because of the pricing & one of their clues was wrong, costing my group 5-10 or so minutes of the game.. we ended up being a few seconds away from solving it towards the end. That kinda sucked.. Still, i would come here again :) seems fun. Minimum 3 people I think?? So bring some friends! read more

Enjoy it. It's about $12.50/person and this includes boardgame play and one regular drink or small yogen fruz. It's not worth it if you're only playing for an hour or two... Definitely more worth it if you plan to stay long. We went on a Saturday night at 8pm and there were quite a few tables left. We we left at 10, there was still some space. This place also had escape rooms. The best bang for your buck is definitely the fries. About $6 and they actually give you a sizeable bowl... Enough for the 5 of us to snack on! Lots of games... Omescape is a new escape room/board game cafe located in Markham. They offer 5 escape rooms, a wide selection of board games, and some vintage gaming consoles such as the Nintendo N64, NES, SNES. Btw the store is located at the back of the plaza, which can't be seen if you're just casually driving by the area. There are plenty of space for free parking. Escape room: I tried the Kingdom of Cats escape room in a group of 6. After giving us a video to watch about the rules we were given a walkie-talkie to hold on to so we could ask for hints when we get lost. Then we were blindfolded and a staffer walked us to our room. I think the blindfolding part was unnecessary because the hallway that leads to many different escape rooms is pitch black anyway. The game itself was straight forward, and each clue will only be used once. The decor was really nice and totally fits the theme. Bonus points for all the fluffy, cuddly kitty plushes everywhere!! There were total of 4 rooms within the Kingdom of Cats themed escape room, so it's a good value for the cost of $25. Board games: If you've already been to the escape room then for extra $4 you can play unlimited board games, the $4 will also go towards purchasing a drink.Otherwise, the cost is $10 which also comes with $4 for drinks purchase. Here at Omescape they have most of the popular board games available, like Uno and Monopoly, but I wasn't able to find Settlers of Catan. The board games are fairly new, given that this place opened not too long ago. Gaming console: Same deal as the board games, you can play unlimited gaming console games with the board game pass. We played Mario Kart on the N64 in a group of 4 and the experience was kinda terrible, because the screen we got to play on was small, and then it had to be split into 4 smaller screens, so we ended up not being able to see where the turns are until it was too late. Also, the consoles are located at different tables, so if you want to try out another console you would have to move over. Some people do end up playing board games at the table where they played the console at, thus hogging the spot. Drinks: The drinks are made by the in house Presotea bubble tea shop. They offer a wide selection of fruit teas and bubble teas, but most of them are above $4 even for the regular size, so you would have to pay some extra because your $4 drink pass isn't enough to cover the cost. Quality of the drinks are alright, thought I was never a fan of Presotea in general. Also, I don't think you could earn Vicinity points for buying drinks here. read more

My favourite escape room that has consistent quality every time I come back. I came here for the fourth time and it seems they get better every time. The rooms fully display the coordination and effort the creators put into it. The conplexity and creativity of the challenges distinguishes this place from other, much worse escape room establishments. We just did the Kingdom of Cats room and it's a blast. The Asylum room is also terrific if you're a glutton for punishment. Go with a group as the more variety the better to tackle different tasks and problems. I am so blown away by my escape room experience here! Definitely 5/5 for the escape room! The story line, creativity, puzzles, patters, clues, technology, and environment are amazing! I'm very impressed as I didn't expect this level of sophistication for an escape room. I've been to other escape rooms and this is definitely the most impressive and has spoiled other escape room centres in the future. We did the Dark Alter room which was the second easiest in term of difficulty and all members of our team were fully immersed in the experience. While the front desk is slightly inefficient in terms of check in but it's definitely worth it to do the full package to get an unlimited board game pass and one free prestotea bubble tea drink while you wait for your escape room scheduled time. If you check in on social media you can also get $5 off the package. They also have frozen yogurt for those those who want snacks. Definitely recommend to everyone to do it and will most definitely be returning. read more

Omescape gets 5/5 stars!! It was the first place I've ever escaped the room - soooo happy.. FINALLY! haha (I've been to other escape places before but I'm always a clue/two away.. urghh) We tried the MYSTERIOUS STUDY room. All the clues were sequenced so we were able to escape - without any hints! My friend enjoyed the walkie talkie conversation. Whenever we used it, they asked us "Did you want a clue?" and my friend said "No, time check please." Haha Don't want to give any spoilers out - but I can say that this room is very techy and the way they "unveil" the next room is super cool. They have a very spacious board games and bubble tea area too - I like how the set up is more spaced out unlike typical bubble tea places (usually packed together). I Went to this place at Sunday 5:00pm., we had a large group of 14, and we made reservations for escape room, for 9 of us, and 5 of us were doing just board games,. Now i've been to this place before and it didn't leave a good impression the first time, however this time it was beyond terrible. The escape room itself. our group had booked the reservation that we were told 5:15. they did not enter till 5:30. and even though we had to wait on a reservation which was not good, the ridiculous part, was that the staff kept rushing us to pay early when some of us arrived at 4:30 to wait for others. they kept repeatedly rushing us to pay early yet they knew they were going to be late. thats just not good. Now that was not the reason this was a one star review. The next thing was how they earned their 1 star status. the 5 of us that were doing board games, we went to order the drinks from the vouchers that were included. While we were waiting in a line with nobody the 2 staff members who were working on drinks, it took them 15 minutes to even acknowledge us before taking orders. and the ridiculous part was that the whole place had only 2 tables of 6 ppl filled. and they were taking that much time before even acknowledging us just to place an order. Once we finally managed to order, which that in itself somehow ordering drinks for 5 people. took 10 minutes to do. so we just spent 25 minutes just to order drinks in a place that was almost empty, where there were 2 staff dedicated to just drinks. and there was no line. This would not even be the worse thing of the 5 of us who ordered, they had managed to get 2 of our members the drink wrong, and 1 members and this is the truly amazing part. they got her drink wrong you can be ready to be amazed, it was a wait for it...........Legendary 5 times. 1 person, they managed to get her drink wrong 5 times, and each time it was something different wrong. and on top of it, originally they had even forgotten and lost her order. Of the two servers, one of them the front order taking person he was nice and kept apologizing, however getting a drink wrong 5 times is just amazing in and of it itself, however the person who made drinks, he was plain rude. when we were ordering he kept telling us the reason they couldn't take our orders faster was because it was not all placed in one bill.... this was a takeout style bubble tea order station, so that reasoning was just............... 2 people in our group also ordered French fries, since their menu consisted of very few things, and the comment was the oil was heavily reused and it smelled very wrong. It seems like the staff is poorly trained at best, there were 3 other staff who had nothing to do, who just sat there and twiddle their thumbs at the front desk. and could not even help the two drink people. and also who don't' even teach games. This place was nice looking, organized and clean, however their biggest weakness and this i noticed twice being here, is definitely their staff. The people who work here have no idea what they are doing, its no wonder most people who come here are just for escape room, since there is no service required. I would advise against going here for all people who plan on ordering drinks, or anything requiring service. just do the escape room at best, because that part i heard was well built. I will definitely not ask anyone to come here, especially given that of board game bubble tea places, there are plenty around the area which are a lot better. read more

First time coming here and it was so much fun! My friends and I chose the Joker . It was a multi room conquest. We had to work together as a team to solve all of the clues in order to escape. I would definitely recommend this place for a fun night out with family or friends. There is also a place where you could play board games while sipping on bubble tea while they sell in house. First thing upon arriving would be to check in with the reception, sign your life away... joke joke! and pay and have fun! read more

As a Room Escape place, they are pretty good. As a Board Game place - they are, also, pretty good., So as a room escape, Omescape is pretty good as they are part of an international franchise - Currently they only have two adventures up and running, but supposedly will be up to 5 different scenarios up and running once they get up to full steam. Currently, they have Joker's Asylum and Kingdom of Cats and while Joker's Asylum is supposedly harder - I'm not giving away spoilers. In comparison to the two previous escape rooms I've been to, the puzzles in this more are bit more in line with the overall theme of each room escape and definitely more of a logic oriented puzzle; so that is different. Now I think Joker's Asylum is probably best experience with 8 people rather than the 10 that we had, since with 10 people there wasn't enough to do for everyone. The staff is very friendly and are pretty good with explaining everything at the start of the game, only thing is that we didn't get a debrief at the end - which would have been cool - since I would like to see the stats on it in comparison to other teams. Boardgames - they have a good selection from Tokaido to the Resistance and there was plenty of room to sit down and play with largish groups. Plus the games were in excellent condition too, so that helps. Food wise- it is kind of basic, with Presotea and Yogen Fruz on offer, with a smattering of the options (like 5 other items) but not too much to write home about. Pricing for a room escape - it isn't the cheapest, but it isn't the most expensive either. I would recommend that you get their all in deal - which includes choice of 1 room escape with a 3.99 token for a beverage at Presotea (tax not included) and the all night unlimited play board games token for about $40 (Friday night and weekend pricing) after taxes - but if you "like" and check in on facebook - you get about $5 off so over all not a bad deal. Boardgames - the unlimited play pass is about $10 per person for all night long (until 2am) and comes with a token for a $4 small drink, bring about $1.50 to cover off the taxes and a bit; which isn't too shabby either. They, also, have cheap Tuesday's - which is 50% off the boardgame cover fee and still includes the drink. Also, it comes with in and out privileges. They are a bit hidden from the street, so locate the Carmelina Italian Restaurant at Esna Park and Woodbine and drive around to the back of the building and Omescape is right there. New to them is the stamp card - you come 10 times you get your 11th free game pass - But I think they have a similar one for the room escape too. read more

So we've done 4 out of 5 escape rooms and we have mixed feelings about the place. Positives: -The rooms all have good production value. -The puzzles are generally well thought out. -The service is friendly. -They have bubble tea, snacks, and boardgames. Negatives: -Even though you book an escape room (or in our case 2), each person you are with has to PAY $5 if you want to play board games while waiting. We've done over 70 escape rooms now and not ONE places has charged for boardgames while you wait. -Hate math puzzles. Kingdom of Cats ends with an annoying math puzzle. -Joker's Asylum (Their "hardest" room) ends with one of the dumbest puzzles we have ever had to solve. There are SO many red herrings, improperly worded clues, and random unneeded numbers....it is literally set up for you to have limited tries based on luck/guesses to a certain degree. -The blacklights used in Joker's Asylum for a couple clues don't actually help at all, and you just have to have really good eyes. -There's also a lot of unnecessary going back and forth, and in Joker's even a set of clues that you sort of use twice Kingdom of Cats: 3 out of 5 Penitentiary: 4 out of 5 Dark Altar: 5 out of 5 Joker's Asylum: 1.5 out of 5 read more

Well this was my first escape room experience and I really didn't know what to expect. My group of 4 ended up choosing cats kingdom which was 3/5 challenging but for us newbies, it turned out to be pretty challenging! We were able to ask for clues on the walkie talkie which was a lifesaver and helped guided up forward. There was enough going on to make it different and interesting and we ended up solving the puzzle and escaping just in time! Was pretty fun overall and I'd be interested in checking out another game in the future. They also have board games and a Presotea bubble tea shop on site for you to grab a drink and hang out. My friends and I had a great experience at Omescape. The staff cared that we experienced the full effect of escaping into another world. We picked a room called Project Sphere: Mysterious Study. It was about a secret agent entering an advanced laboratory for clues on where secrets might be. All in all, the high-tech theme was very convincing.
