In addition to the Markham location of Omescape, they have a second location in Scarborough as well! This location is situated on Kennedy Road north of Lawrence Avenue East. Similar to the Markham location, they have a range of multi-difficulty level multi-room escape games and include high-tech components. Each room is themed differently with a different plot. We played the one-hour "Virus Outbreak" designed for 3 to 8 players. We had 4 players in our team. We were definitely stumped with the puzzles in this room but had such a blast trying to decipher the clues. There were so many authentic-looking and high-tech components! I loved it. I really appreciated how the staff gave us some extra time at the end of the game even though our 60 minutes were already up. It wasn't until we asked for a clue that one of the staff members finally came to get us. She walked us through the remainder of the game and how to escape the last part (turns out we were only 60% done!). The "Virus Outbreak" room was so thorough and well-designed. Before we left, we took a group photo in front of the chalkboard mural with props. I'm so glad we got to come here to play a game! They also have an "Epic Runner" obstacle style course as well! Their online booking form is easy to use (they require a $25 deposit that is used towards your payment to secure the booking) and their staff is quick in responding to inquiries. Upon arrival, if you check in on social media (Facebook or Instagram, etc.), you can receive a $3 off per person. They have a coat rack and free lockers for you to store your belongings while you play. The staff was really friendly!

serious fun! name tag ripping and lots of running!

First time coming here for the epic runner! Inspired by running man, there are a variety of games besides the name tag running. So fun and well organized from the staffs! Be ready to really do a lot of running. Dress comfortably. bring water. and come with an open mind friendships may be ruined. but that's all for fun!! i really enjoyed the avalon themed/zombie game will definitely come back

We did Defend the Magic Academy. It was good. Very much catered to those who love the world of Harry Potter.

Ratings: Facilities: 9/10 Service: 9/10 General Aesthetics: 9/10 Hygeine/Cleanliness: 9/10 Value: 9/10 I wasn't sure what to expect from this place when I showed up and signed away my life, but it was pretty fun and a good cardio workout! I came here for Epic Runner and to be honest, I didn't see the reason why they insist on running shoes. Looking back in hindsight, I probably should have brought my actual running shoes instead of just street shoes. I spent a lot of time running through the maze and evading other people and that would have been much better in my running shoes... A warning beforehand, you'll probably end up with a few cuts and scratches here and there, but they do provide bandaids and rubbing alcohol. You will run, so bring water unless your cardio is top notch or your friends can't run. There is a foam pit! Don't bring your life (cellphone) into the pit or you'll probably lose it. Some of the people I was with saw a couple lives in there. The lobby is nice, it's a nice open area for waiting for other people or having a party. The maze looks mostly like plywood walls painted in bright neon colors, some of the steps are a little off so careful with your footing. Otherwise it is simple and does the job. The staff here were friendly and polite. They explained the game modes clearly in a manner that optimized your run time. Most everything here is quite clean, from the actual facilities to the washroom/changeroom so I'm not overly concerned. The cost is pretty reasonable and you can get a discount for checking in beforehand (everyone has to check-in) Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for those who seek an intense game of tag experience. Side note: I hope they add in a few more obstacles cause a lot of the straight paths are too easy for faster people to run. Also a ball pit somewhere would just be awesome, just cause ball pits are cool.

Shameless plug of my team's record at the time!

I've done the Running Man room and first two escape rooms (Virus Outbreak and Shut Down), and I enjoyed them all. Running Man was a great room to get some exercise. I went during the holidays with my relatives and it was a great bonding experience! Both escape rooms are well designed and the technology used was comparatively more advanced that the ones in Markham - I did also enjoy the Markham location rooms too, but I'd give this location a slight edge. When I did the Virus Outbreak room, my team was on the leaderboard but I'm sure that's not the case now lol. Definitely looking forward to the new escape rooms at this location!

The backdoor has signage that points around the building. Took us a lil bit but we eventually found a door on the side that led us into this venue. Once the staff member checked us in, we were given a locker out front to put all our belongings in. They've got 3 adventures/escape experiences. Our crew attempted The Lab: Lockdown experience. With a reported no-hints success rate of 5%, we were up for the challenge (you typically get 3 hints). We finished the escape just in time but we did end up using all 3 clues/hints. It was tough but very interactive. Very fun group activity. Also super rewarding once we finished! I much prefer interactive escapes like these over traditional escape rooms where you have to use "escape room" logic aka math and patterns. This experience used more common sense logic and required teamwork which led to higher immersion. The 2 out of town friends are already planning for us to tackle the hardest experience (The Tomb: Raiders of the Sword) collectively as a group, the next time they're back in town. Highly recommended! The staff were also super nice!

Without giving too much away, we were all locked up in a prison cell and had to put our brains together with what we had in the room to figure out an escape. The rooms do require a little more upkeep but it didn't interfere with our play at all. The front desk staff was nice and he helped explain our mission and answered our questions at the end. Difficulty: 4/5 - this rating is relative Aesthetics: 3.5/5 Fun factor: 4/5 Immersion: 4/5 If you are looking for a fun date night, I highly recommend checking them out! We will be back to complete the next room.

None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. Then you have to ask for a clue (which they won't give, it'll just be a condescending phrase that tells you to do what you've already been doing.) then after fighting with them for five min they'll realize it's their fault and manually start it, wasting not just our time but our money. 30 dollars a person is just ridiculous for what this is. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? So many rooms to go through that it made the experience well worth it. My only criticism would be the staff. We didn't escape the room and only had one section left to get through. When the staff came in telling us we were out of time, the normal procedure would be to walk us through what we had left. Instead, the guy said he was unable to finish a walk through because the next group had arrived. It seemed that he was unwilling to walk us through the remaining aspects because if he did, then he'd have to reset all the puzzles... I've been to quite a few escape room locations and never has this happened before, even if the next group had arrived.. Overall the Osaka High room was pretty cool, but I only wish I knew how it ended.....

Still one of the top escape places in gta!…read more Decor: 5* They have talented artists that decorate the hallway, outside theme doors, and an immersive setting in the escape room. I'm surprised they haven't won more awards for their rooms or close contender bragging rights. Clue: 4* Some rooms have hints on a screen and follows your progress based on where you've progressed. Some rooms are a white button and they'll come into your room to assist you, no walkie talkies thank goodness! Lighting 3* They feel it is enough and the main focus clues are properly illuminated. We feel it's still too dark to read some clues like book titles and request their flashlight every time. Staff 5* All staff here over the years have been awesome! Friendly, passionate, mature and all game lovers themselves. Game puzzles 3*-5* Some are well done, clever and creative. no locks and combos and they progressed to top of the line puzzles. We did find not all were well timed and one finale puzzle just plain lazy as if they lost their puzzle maker. We've done almost all their rooms and even ones they've replaced. The Missing Will: so much potential at the start but with an unsatisfactory end! It's like they ran out of time or money as the puzzles did not compare. The ending was too sudden and we stood there having won but confused this was it instead of their usual wrap up theme. It's not scary at all but with a supernatural theme. It's also perfect for larger groups or friends with adhd. The roles you pick can help give clues and hints for solving your character puzzles aside from the main ones. This is also what makes it frustrating for us, as we want to clear all puzzles and it's not possible/necessary. Pathogen: interesting how the game can change based on your progress, choices and hints. We won with a minute thirty to spare. Bring a friend that reads everything as ours rushed before following orders, one that isn't colour blind, and one that isn't afraid to go somewhere alone. Not scary on this room. Noriko: scary theme! For me it wasn't the doll props and flashy lighting but the background music and special effect noise. I couldn't concentrate very well as I found that triggering and this had the darkest rooms with poorest lighting at their establishment. Tip: Bring a friend that is musical, don't bring friends afraid of scary movies! Crossroads: dark thriller vibe, liked the choice to choose a decision to effect ending, the changing atmosphere to fit the evolving story and ending was fun. My friends liked this room a lot and played it two more times after our win and couldn't break out with the other two groups. Lounge: only standing room now. No board games offered anymore. They sell canned pop and waters, have 3 clean washrooms. Photo board is self run at the entrance on a timer but terrible angle and background. $10 off for back to back games. Free game on ACTUAL DAY of your birthday.

It has many little disjoint puzzles which are somewhat challenging. Each puzzle is independent of the others, which allows for a group to split into smaller groups and solve the puzzles in parallel. The second room was The Lost Treasure (3/5 in difficulty). It was well thought-out and somewhat more challenging than advertised. The main room leads to a secondary room, and the main room is considerably more challenging. Both rooms were suitable for all ages. One of the great things about Enigma is that they allow you a lot of extra time. On both occasions they allowed us almost an additional hour to try to escape. They gave lots of clues, without taking away from the challenge. Moreover, the place is well maintained and it is clean. Keep up the good work.

It's a cozy place though with a few couches, coat racks, and lockers to store your belongings - oh, and the mandatory signs to hold up for pictures afterwards, of course. There are 7 different rooms here, 2 of which are horror themed. My team selected the "Godfather" with its 5/5 stars in difficulty rating, with the reason that we wouldn't be embarrassed even if we failed (i.e., a good excuse haha). Without spoiling anything, it gave us quite a run for our money! At first I had thought that the 9 people (maximum) we had in the small room would be overkill, but there were a few convoluted clues in there that had all of us circling around in confusion. It was only after 4 calls for hints later (hints are unlimited here - you'll need them) and with just 1 minute to go on the clock that we thankfully made our escape. Overall, everyone enjoyed the escape games, and the friendliness of the staff definitely contributed to the positive experience. Instructions were clear and the process was fairly efficient, although I felt they were somewhat understaffed as there was sometimes a delay in receiving hints - again, this was to be expected as we constituted a large group, but you'll appreciate my frustration when you're in the room staring in panic at the clock counting down on the wall. The price is reasonable given the location, recommended! :)
