How have I lived this long without trying an escape room? I am so ridiculously late to this party, but after my first experience at Escape Manor, I am ready to make up for lost time. This was, without a doubt, one of the best nights out I've had with my girlfriends. I am officially, profoundly hooked. We did one of their amazing rooms, and even though we didn't escape, the challenge was exhilarating. To be fair, it was the first time for five out of the six of us, so we're already plotting our redemption tour. A major bonus here is that you can order drinks while you're in the rooms. We had already pre-gamed with a healthy amount of tacos, margaritas, and sangria, so we didn't partake this time. But for our next adventure? It's on. Escape Manor, you've created a monster. My wallet is already crying in anticipation of this new obsession, because I will be back to conquer every single room you have. Take my money!

Very fun escape room! I love that you can drink in the room and place orders to get specialty drinks in the room too. Pretty easy room but very immersive and funny surprises. This place seems like the perfect place to celebrate a birthday with the bar upstairs, ax throwing, and escape room.

Lots of fun with themed rooms of different levels of complexity. The staff really go above and beyond to make sure you have fun. You can play the regular or hard versions which is nice since some players are more experienced than others. They put a lot of thought into the decorations and vibe of each room and the overall space.

The coach gives tons of guidance which led to me landing my first ax throw in the board! Super fun specially in big groups, tons of axes and tricks to try and good food and drinks . Especially worth it if you go during happy hour. Really safe and entertaining.

The graveyard drink was my favourite. - A beverage in a clear glass with ice, topped with whipped cream and cocoa powder, placed on a wooden table in a cozy indoor setting.

We had the best night. Our work holiday event was here and the food and drinks were awesome. We did the escape experiences and we threw axes, and we loved all of it. The staff were phenomenal. Can't say enough about the entire crew at Escape Manor. If you're on the fence whether your team would like it here, we have everything from introverted introverts to competitive athletes and every single person had a great night. Highly recommend!

I came to Escape Manor for the escape room. Man, I didnt expect what I walked in on. This place is pretty great. Location: King west by MEC, Parking: On the streetcar route, no street parking but lots of underground building parking. Building: In in one of the old brick buildings that have managed to not have been torn down and replaced by a condo. Decor: Wow nice. It's like a fancy English private club. Dark wood, low lights, big furniture, plush seating, and a big bar. They have large armoires for coats and lots of tables with games. Board games, wooded puzzles, and an old school pacman table game (that has about 30 1980s classics - free to play) This place just reeks of class and comfort. Not like the other game places they want you to stay here. The goods: So like I said, I came for the escape room but this place has so much more. Theres the fully licenced bar with the puzzles, board and video games but also have axe throwing! The escape room was so much fun. The puzzles were smart and relative to the story. The room was quality, using good condition props, not old throw aways from your parents basement. We escaped with minutes to spare. Wooo! Staff: Everyone was super. From the hostess who greeted us to the bar staff to the person who lead us to the escape room. Will I be back? Heck yeah! They also do team building for corporations.

Fun place, nice people. Lots to do or just chill. Decent food. Parking is an issue but that's not their fault.

What an awesome choice for a team event. A simple space, from the picture you can see a set up which includes two targets each, small axes and boards to keep score for the real tournament! The hosts spend a least an hour patiently instructing us on the safe and appropriate manner to swing the axe at the target. Many of us got bullseye right off the top, some, like me, flung the thing over the target. But in the end, if you are looking for a fun team building exercise for a reasonable cost, this is certainly a great option. I don't know if you can always do it, but if you have a big group, you can probably negotiate a lower rate than the $45 per person.

Upon arrival, I found the facility very modern, clean and organized. They had several tables in the middle for dine-in. The axe throwing cages were large, each with 2 lanes and firm fence all around. It was easy go in and out of the lane and interact with friends. There also had several drinks and alcohol available at the bar/register counter. At the beginning a staff member briefed us the axe throwing process and assisted us with first few throws. Then we played about 6 rounds of games. The boards were in pretty bad condition, as they were being for a long time. Bullseye and other markings almost faded away. After that, we tried the daggers for few rounds. None of us could really stick the daggers in the board. The cost came about $36 CAD per person for about 45 minutes. Overall we had a good fun time. They staff were friendly and helpful.

I would definitely recommend booking them for any type of event.

My friends and I were looking for something fun and a little bit different to do so we decided to try out axe throwing at BATL. It was a great night! After arriving and getting set up we were taught the basics by our wonderful instructor Averi who helped us out and got us all throwing fairly accurately after a couple of practice rounds. Once we were all hitting the boards Averi set us up for a small tournament (group of 6). We started with head to head matches in a round robin and then had elimination rounds to finally crown a champion (me lol). It was tons of fun the whole way though. BATL has 8 lanes an can accommodate any size group. Our group of 6 was on 2 lanes and I believe any group over 12 gets 4 lanes. They also have a small bar with drinks and snacks to keep you fueled up while the axes are flying. The staff at BATL is amazing. Our instructor Averi was super fun and very helpful. She took the time to make sure everyone knew what they were doing and was just really fun to hang out with between rounds. Everyone else from BATL was very helpful and accommodating as well. It was nice to see people who really enjoyed their work and they made the mood there something special. We will definitely be back again. This place is a keeper for sure.

One of the great things about Enigma is that they allow you a lot of extra time. On both occasions they allowed us almost an additional hour to try to escape. It's a cozy place though with a few couches, coat racks, and lockers to store your belongings - oh, and the mandatory signs to hold up for pictures afterwards, of course. There are 7 different rooms here, 2 of which are horror themed. My team selected the "Godfather" with its 5/5 stars in difficulty rating, with the reason that we wouldn't be embarrassed even if we failed (i.e., a good excuse haha). Without spoiling anything, it gave us quite a run for our money! At first I had thought that the 9 people (maximum) we had in the small room would be overkill, but there were a few convoluted clues in there that had all of us circling around in confusion. It was only after 4 calls for hints later (hints are unlimited here - you'll need them) and with just 1 minute to go on the clock that we thankfully made our escape. Overall, everyone enjoyed the escape games, and the friendliness of the staff definitely contributed to the positive experience. Instructions were clear and the process was fairly efficient, although I felt they were somewhat understaffed as there was sometimes a delay in receiving hints - again, this was to be expected as we constituted a large group, but you'll appreciate my frustration when you're in the room staring in panic at the clock counting down on the wall. The price is reasonable given the location, recommended! :)
