My wife and I walked by and decided to hop in and see what was up. We didn't have a reservation but…read morethe time we went (2pm on Thursday), there was plenty of options. We ended up doing the jungle room - we aren't the most experienced at escape rooms but we found room interesting and engaging. The front desk lady is available for hints if you need via phone call - she was super helpful in general. I'd recommend enigma and probably best to do a reservation if you go on a busy time so you can get your preferred room

Enigma Escape room is excellent. We've been to two rooms. The first was Fairytale (4/5 in…read moredifficulty). It's a small room with no secondary room, but it's a lot of fun. It has many little disjoint puzzles which are somewhat challenging. Each puzzle is independent of the others, which allows for a group to split into smaller groups and solve the puzzles in parallel. The second room was The Lost Treasure (3/5 in difficulty). It was well thought-out and somewhat more challenging than advertised. The main room leads to a secondary room, and the main room is considerably more challenging. Both rooms were suitable for all ages. One of the great things about Enigma is that they allow you a lot of extra time. On both occasions they allowed us almost an additional hour to try to escape. They gave lots of clues, without taking away from the challenge. Moreover, the place is well maintained and it is clean. Keep up the good work.

Staff are helpful, the rooms and their moving parts are well maintained, and the overall facility is pretty clean. Brief commentary on two of the rooms: 1) The ninja room is superbly designed. It's playable, fun, and one clue clearly leads to the next in a logical fashion. Be aware that one of the challenges requires a good deal of patience and hand-eye coordination. As escape rooms go, ninja is a shining example of how to do it right. 2) By contrast, the mummy room is interesting but suffers from some (in my opinion) design flaws. After overcoming the first couple puzzles, one is quickly saturated with what I'll call "clue overload". There are too many partially-complete pieces of information, which leads to a chaotic rather that methodological progression. Moreover, the extreme low light conditions make an already tough room nearly impossible. One other word to the wise: don't arrive too early. Waiting area quarters are super cramped. Nevertheless, this is a great escape room operation. We'll be back next Toronto visit.

If you're worried about the horror effect, don't worry because I was too, but it was not bad! This room calls for a maximum of 8 people but we were able to complete it with 2. The staff were friendly and kind, and the ambience of the place is lovely. Looking forward to trying out the other rooms!

There were 3 staff that helped us out and I very much appreciated that they were able to accommodate one friend that was running late. The rest of us started the game and he was able to join us after. For large groups, I'd highly recommend Blind Tiger Speakeasy since you could reserve it for up to 12 players. I liked that I would make a payment for 8 of us at the time of booking, and if other friends wanted to join, they could and they would just need to pay for their admission at the time of arrival. We completed the Blind Tiger escape room as that was only room which accommodated 12 people. Each time we were stuck, the staff assisted. That particular escape room was immersive, lots of different ways to seek out clues. We couldn't beat the best time of 40 mins Tips: GPS leads to the spa down the road. The escape room is closest to the bbq chicken. It's the stairs leading to the upper unit. Communicate with your group. Clues might come in other ways (focus on all senses)

A fun off the beaten path way to experience Casa Loma!…read more We played the King of the Bootleggers game in the afternoon (4:30pm). The game is designed for up to 15 people. In the end our group had 9 people. A little unusual is that because the games are designed for such a large number of people you'll likely be playing with strangers unless you have enough friends and book the entire game. Since the castle closes at 5pm we didn't have trouble parking. If you're purely there for the game I'd recommend booking an evening game so the parking lot is more likely to have space. The website difficulty rating was accurate. With 9 people it was very challenging to finish in 60 minutes. If only we had about 10 more minutes we probably could have solved it fully. (Someone told me that Murdoch Mysteries was so hard to at with a group of 12 they only solved about 70% of it. But she still had a great time!) King of the Bootleggers is great in that there are three separate rooms that are part of the puzzle. So the group is divided up. You may be able to mostly only play with your friends and not strangers. At the end you do come together for a final puzzle that requires some teamwork. That also means this particular game has re-play value! If you played one room you could get play again and ask to play a different room. The actors did a fantastic job and really set this escape room apart from all others I've played. They were helpful with giving unlimited hints while staying in character. If encouraged to interact with them in character (but no physical touching. Be nice to them). Part of Bootleggers was walking through the tunnels of the castle. The tunnels were decorated with lights for Christmas! So that was a nice bonus. Highly recommend! There's also a photo op at the end and you can tip your actors. Take away points are you should have a lot of friends or be prepared to play with strangers if you want to win and go in the evening for better parking.
