One of the cheapest spots in the city to pick up a board game. The pros are they have a massive collection, a giant library filled with rows and rows of games and collectibles. I honestly haven't made them exercise their customer service skills because I research my board games and know exactly what I want. But I can see that newbies could be overwhelmed with all the options coming in. We decided to buy a board game for a friend's child, age 6. My boyfriend ran off to find a game at Meeple without consulting me first. He came out empty-handed, saying there was nothing suitable for that age range. I'm SURPRISED. There's a board game for everything there. I'm not an expert for games for six-year-olds, so I just Googled, found a dad blog and decided Catan Junior was it and purchased online here. They processed our order immediately and were ready for pick up the same day if needed. The truth is my BF was about to check out at Indigo, which is 30% more before I reminded him to check at Meeple again for prices. The only difference *I think* is the packaging art is slightly different and the box is larger at Meeple. If their staff actively asks every customer walking in and tries to help, they can convert more casual or newbie gamers--what a lost opportunity.

The attitude was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable. My kids were also blamed for touching the squishies, which are literally products being sold to children. It means getting them on the table those few days earlier, and in the world of board gaming that can make a pretty big difference. It's a nice place to walk around. They list product as "played" so that could mean anything. I ended up ordering 4 near mint cards but some of them were light play in my opinion. This is where scans on the site would help the consumer if they don't want to help the consumer when inquiring about a product. Nothing I ordered was over 10 bucks a piece but I probably won't be trusting their near mint conditioning anymore and will choose another site over this one when ordering cards. The letter mail is also slow. Took exactly 2 weeks to get to my door and that's within the same province. Average experience overall. If near mint to you is more than a couple white dots on the card you will be satisfied. If not, choose wisely.

Apparently they also offer a consignment service where you can sell your products through them? Not too sure the details but there are shelves full of seemingly random stuff so if you're looking for an escrow to help sell valuables this could be an option..... You can come in and play games all day for a flat price of $7 (up from $5 six years ago, which is impressive). Have to bring in your own drinks though as there's no cafe although I guess fantuan does exist. Maybe there's a fridge of canned drinks I wasn't paying attention. There is also an annual membership that you can buy that includes various perks including a discount rate of $5 to sit and play Owner is friendly and knowledgeable and can teach various games, so if you're looking to learn something new or bring in a group for a board game event, this place is a fantastic option.
