My first time at the flagship store in Toronto! They're a pillar of what was the Canadian competitive magic scene, hosting many a tournament in Toronto and Montreal. They are first and foremost, experts in trading card games like Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon and host in-store tournaments for each. They sell singles, accessories, and even have a card evaluation table for any trade-ins or buying/selling. They do have some board games and puzzles for sale too. Their employees were friendly when I was browsing and came over to offer assistance. The play space in there is HUGE! It makes for a great setting if you're going to spend hours there at a tournament. They also have 3 restrooms which is more than I've seen for most card stores. read more

Highly recommend this store. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to play any TCG (magic, Pokémon, yugioh). Staff generally keep obnoxious players in line. Only negative is that prices can sometimes be a little higher than competitors but the safe and friendly play space makes up for it. If you've played at other stores, the players there can be super loud or obnoxious but at face to face, everyone is respectful and just there to have a good time. read more

F2F support offered a full refund if it wasn't delivered by July 10, then ghosted me after I tried to follow up 3 different times on the order and promised refund. Very Poor Customer Service they used to have really solid customer service and representatives, but about 1.5-2 years ago everything changed. I started to constantly be getting the wrong cards, missing cards, or damaged cards. When i reached out to customer service rep, he does help but can be a difficult person to talk to. On a few occasions when i asked why the quality of their orders are so poor, he even sent me a link of their company policy stating they're not responsible for sending out the wrong things. Most recently, i ordered a near mint copy of a card, only to get a moderately played one a month later. I was then told i will not be compensated the refund until that gets bak to them, which will likely take another month, just because they cannot tell the difference between near mint and moderately played. Strongly recommend staying away from this company, there are lots of reliable sellers on TCG player, ebay, Troll and Toad. If you're looking for a Canadian Brand, look for Jeux3Dragons, Atlas Collectibles. Having wrong orders sent is one thing but having a poor customer service team on top is the nail in the coffin for this company read more

I highly recommend not ordering from their website. I just started to get back into Yu Gi Oh after about ten years. My first order I go to make on their website shows up incomplete. I'm missing a Secret Rare card that I was really looking forward to getting to help complete my first deck since coming back to the game! I provide video evidence of all cards with multiple e-mails. I get no response what so ever. But I do get an e-mail that they have resupplied the card I never received !!! Never ordering from them again. Shame, as it's made me lose interest in the game again. I was ecstatic to hear that there would be a board & card games retailer in my neighbourhood, and when my wife and I stopped in to check it out, my excitement was certainly justified! Face to Face is a Magic: The Gathering & CCG retailer, but they have a healthy selection of other board and card games, as well as a very comfy free-play area with nice big couches for casual games with friends. They also have a large main play area with rows of tables perfect for tournaments and events, which they hold regularly. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Kelly, who is an incredibly friendly, down-to-earth guy who's very passionate about gaming and making Face to Face an amazing place moving forward. According to Kelly, they plan to start serving food and drink sometime in the coming months, which will certainly make it my default meeting place for friends and family. I enjoyed coming into this game store. I often find when I go into hobby stores the people are more focussed on serving their regulars, and people who are new more or less get a cold shoulder. However, the people here were pretty awesome. They were nice, the coffee bar was awesome, I came in for a gaming thing and they were cool with that. They also had a magic draft going that night, and they had games I wanted to buy, I plan on buying some stuff from these guys before I head back to L.A.. I had the opportunity to play in a card tournament here on a Sunday. It was very well organized and executed efficiently. The play area is very nice, spacious, with new tables and well lit with natural light. The staff are friendly and easy to get a long with. They congratulate players for winning and give thanks to those who participate. It is easy to see that they love what they do which means that they take their events seriously. The numerous events that they hold are run very well and with almost no barriers to participation. They have a large selection of games and cards and have many buy lists and trade in programs. Even though they are associated with the online store one should remember that this is a different brick and mortar located in Toronto, so the complaints regarding orders don't apply here. I enjoy visiting Face to Face and it is one of the top game stores that I recommend people visit. read more

They just opened and I'm glad they're in my neighbourhood. I've never stayed to play games, but they seem to have a lot of stuff happening, and an eclectic mix of patrons that all seem to get along playing some intense games. I've only ever been to buy some games and the staff was super helpful. This place seems like a less hipster and more authentic version of snakes and lattes. It is what it is and it doesn't try to dress it up. Great place! I'm updating to say that I've stayed for games and had a blast! Got a number of MtG singles from here and When I was going through the cards later I noticed one of the older cards was in mp condition (looked like someone took it for a bath) and the seller didn't point it out at all. So I'm guessing I was charged full price for a card I don't even want now. This is even more annoying because if you try trading in singles they will give you less for the card if there is the slightest nick. They gave me less for a great condition card because there was apparently a tinny bit of dirt on the back of the card that was hardly noticeable. There is no way they are selling it at a reduced price. Just remember to share the love and check the cards they give you and get a condition discount where you can. read more

Terrible customer service, bad selection of cards and high prices. They are awful at grading cards. I ordered foil NM cards and received scratched up, cloudy garbage. Instead of refunding me or replacing the cards they said scratched and cloudy cards are now NM cards according to their grading policy. I offered to send the cards back and they could refund me or replace the cards and they declined. Do not buy cards from these jokers. read more

I've never been to Face To Face Games since I live on the other side of the country from them, but I do order TCG cards from them online. They have a solid selection of cards- far more than my local TCG stores have access too and for the most part at reasonable prices. They take a little more than 24h to process and ship your order on business days with reasonable 1 week shipping priced at 10 CAD shipping, cards are wrapped in a plastic card holder with much more expensive cards of the order in hard penny sleeves. Their online customer support is quick, I made a mistake in one of my orders (gave the wrong city!!!) and fixed the order before it was shipped. Overall a quick and pleasant experience and I can recommend this store in ordering cards and gaming products online if you want specific single cards. read more

This place has a great selection of board games and a staff that knows them pretty well. I've had many excellent recommendations from staff members and have purchased quite a few great games from them in the past five months that are now staples amongst my friend group. Furthermore, whenever they don't have a game in they'll gladly order in a copy. Also, their prices are the lowest I've seen, having visited a few similar places in both Toronto and Ottawa.
