There were some things in there that you would next-to-never figure out thats what you're supposed to do to crack the code unless you have been in a lot of Escape rooms and kind of already have a sense of how to crack different types of codes. The staff said most people only make it half way through the game, then they invite you to either pay the full price and book again another day OR just have a staff explain the rest. Basically they make it so hard that you can't complete it, let alone in 1hr, so that you'll have to pay and come back again to finish it. Seems like a Money grab. Even when I asked the staff the logic behind figuring out some of the steps, even she couldn't explain it. So yea maybe try other Escape businesses

You can either do it as a group, solo and it could be an arcade style or escape room. It's very immersive and I really liked how the staff helps explain what to expect and how to navigate. I got invited to try the zombie arcade version, which was around 30 minutes. It didn't feel short at all and we managed to do several stages and complete the game Overall it's a great experience and highly recommend if you have friends and kids

There is yellow tape covering up some sections, items are kind of cheap, there is only 1 employee who supervises 2 rooms and he is pretty laid back, etc. But I'm okay with all that. I'm here for the puzzles... not for a date. I preferred these clues to the other place that I went. They are more logic type clues, as opposed to some of the clues from the other place that were kind of random. I do have a complaint, but can't get into specifics, as that would reveal how to solve the clue. But basically one of my crucial pieces of evidence wasn't "working", which cost us some time (they gave us an extra 5min, but we probably lost 10). That being said, we did escape. I also liked that you can request clues. You can get 2 clues "free". If you get more than that, you automatically get your photo posted to the Wall of Shame. I will probably return to try the other room. Tip: don't dress too warm if you are doing the Prison game. They turn up the heat really high

When you walk in, there's a guy that is very laid back that just sits behind the counter on his computer. We brought a Groupon for 6 people and it was already around $15 per person, which I find reasonable, but then upon redeeming it, we had to pay taxes for it which I felt quite surprised because other Groupon which I purchased previously and redeemed at other locations did not charge us taxes. So, ending up paying taxes, we each had to pay around $17-$18 per person. Which wasn't much cheaper because I believe the original price was $25 and Facebook discount was $5 or something like that. You are given 2 free clues and anything after that you are automatically place on the wall of shame. You are given a walkie-talkie to communicate and ask for clues. There wasn't much story to the room we were entering which was a little disappointing. The one we went into had 4 rooms, but only 8 puzzles in total which I thought was a little to simple. I was expecting moderate level difficulty for puzzles but more of them. We were given an hour to solve which we had 20mins leftover after having to with for him to come over to give us a clue and the technically difficulty of the puzzle itself. There was one puzzle where we felt it was broke or we couldn't solve and we spent 10 mins trying to get it to work and when we tried to ask for help, he told us it was solved and unlocked which we felt like it was quite a confusion and wasted much of our time. Other puzzles are straight forward and fun except for the last one where it was basically impossible to figure out because the hint that was given was not clearly enough to lead us in what way we must think to solve. The design of the rooms were pretty nice but he props of the actually puzzles were cheap and easily found in the dollar store. I would like to try out other rooms they offer but maybe not for the price that they normally charge because I don't really feel it's so worth it with so little puzzles.

None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? Just a top-tier escape room experience with some of the highest production value. My group and I did Hong Kong After Dark. It was a 2 hour escape room and about $70 per person. It'll be one of my most memorable experiences just based on how amazing the set looked. The puzzles were complex, engaging, and fit into the story so well. You can tell the people running the place are super passionate about creating the best escape room experience. We did have a slight hiccup where the room didn't reset halfway through. We waltzed through a door and everything was already unlocked and lit up. Staff were on top of it though and immediately came in and fixed it. Everything proceeded smoothly afterwards. I've done other rooms before in both locations, a long time ago though. I remember them all being extremely detailed and fun but this one might be one of my favourites yet.

The entrance of Omventure is somewhat hidden where it faces the back of a big building housing several different businesses (mainly restaurants). A great place for kids, teens, families, as well as young adults, the space houses a variety of escape rooms with different difficulty levels, where there is a suggested number of people needed per room. Depending on the difficulty of the escape room, you are given either 60 min, 90 min, or 120 min to solve or escape the room. You are able to book your escape room ahead of time, which is highly recommended. They do have family and kid friendly escape rooms available as well. Also, the use of phones is not allowed when you play the escape rooms - if you do decide to bring your phone into the escape room and use it, you can cause your time in the escape room to end early (they have security footage throughout the rooms). This location also has an expansive board game area with many large tables and many games as well as a cafe selling bubble tea and snacks. There is also a gaming area with video game consoles as well. My party of 4 stopped by Omventure on a Saturday evening where we had booked the escape room "Kingdom of Cats" (60 min, 3/5 difficulty, best for 3-8 people). Upon entering, you pay at the counter where you can get discounts if you follow them on social media or if it is your birthday. Once ready, your belongings are placed in a single locker and you are asked to watch a video explaining the rules of the escape room. Staff also provide you with a walkie talkie where you can ask for unlimited hints if you are really stuck. Afterwards, staff lead you to your particular escape room. My party and I managed finish the "Kingdom of Cats" escape room in the allotted time, although we had to ask staff twice as we were stuck with what to do next. This particular escape room required us to solve puzzles and riddles while paying attention to our surroundings. There was a bit of crawling as we headed to at least 4 different rooms. It may seem confusing where to begin at first when you are placed in the room but with teamwork and communication, you end up figuring out what to do to move to the next step. This particular escape room isn't scary, but it is kid friendly and fun. The 60 min really flew by just like that as we had to use our brains in order to figure things out. I haven't done a lot of escape rooms but this one was really nicely designed with lots of details throughout. Moving through the different rooms was pretty cool and finding the clues and working as a team together allowed us to escape and finish. After we were finished with the escape room, staff came to get us and took our picture on the stage where we could choose different boards to hold up. Nice touch as a souvenir of the fun time you had while you were there. For an additional fee you can also play as many board games if you'd like, but we decided not to. Overall, a fun escape room adventure for everyone! Would love to try the more difficult and scary ones next time. Staff were great and the facilities were well maintained where the rooms very detailed. Great option to have a fun time with family or friends.

With a reported no-hints success rate of 5%, we were up for the challenge (you typically get 3 hints). We finished the escape just in time but we did end up using all 3 clues/hints. It was tough but very interactive. Very fun group activity. Also super rewarding once we finished! I much prefer interactive escapes like these over traditional escape rooms where you have to use "escape room" logic aka math and patterns. This experience used more common sense logic and required teamwork which led to higher immersion. The 2 out of town friends are already planning for us to tackle the hardest experience (The Tomb: Raiders of the Sword) collectively as a group, the next time they're back in town.
