I decided to stop by for dinner. A solo date for myself. Self love is the best love. I wanted chicken and waffles so bad and Sweet Chick is know for having flavorful delicious warm waffle. Hot fresh crispy chicken. Everyone always speak about the varieties of butter. Spread the butter of your choice on your warm waffle. Yes I was in Heaven. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you to the amazing kitchen staff and staff. Had a wonderful experience.

Southern hospitality, southern comfort food with Brooklyn vibes. Sweet Chick's menu is absolutely amazing, there's not a single item not worth trying. No need to elaborate further, just go and you'll be hooked.

I live around here so every time I am in the mood for some chicken and waffles I come here. The food is always delicious and so is the service. Definitely recommend it to our locals and whoever is visiting the neighborhood.

Really enjoyed my experience here today. Great food all around, my steak was cooked to perfection! The chicken was battered lovely and had a beautiful crunch. I like the ambiance a lot; although it was a little tight in there, it felt homely (in a great way)! Our server was excellent, as was the rest of the staff. I can't wait to return to THIS location, and suggest it to others.

Been to this location several times and it never disappoints! The ambience is dimly lit and intimate. We sat at a shared table but still felt like we had our private space. Waffles and chicken were fresh and had the perfect comfort food taste. The staff is also friendly and overall the vibe is chill if you are looking for a relaxing environment.

I visited this establishment for brunch for my cousin's birthday. The food was amazing. I had the Lloyd's Carrot Cake pancakes with the honey garlic tenders. Everything was delicious and well prepared. The customer service was great and the waiter was attentive. The restaurant was a little warm since it was a hot day outside. I guess the air conditioner wasn't powerful enough. The food was so delicious that I placed a to go order. I ordered the bone in chicken with mashed potatoes with gravy and a buttermilk biscuit. The Arnold Palmer drink was very refreshing. I enjoyed everything I ate and I would definitely be back to try other menu options.

Went for the free chicken & waffels but the line was too long so my friend and i opted to sit inside. The place is intimate with nice decor and good music playing. Plenty of seating and a bar. Service was fast and stsff attentive. I ordered the two piece with bacon cheddar waffels with a side of Mac n cheese. I thought that the bacon was going to be cooked in the waffel but it was crumbles on top. The butter that came with the waffels were good, I believe one raspberry & one lemon; i asked for extra but they were out. The Mac n cheese was ok but nothing special. It was the chicken for me, very tasty and juicy with good flavor, I got a leg and thigh. Despite the long line for free waffels & chicken the staff got everything moving along smoothly. I was never interested in trying sweet chick because, I'm not a big chicken & waffels fan but they do offer other things on the menu. Forgot to mention they added 2.99 % fee for "Operating Surcharge," on top of the tax and tip. That alone will keep me away but I do recommend going because of the chicken.

This location is such a vibe, the space was very cozy and warm on a rainy day, with enough seating, lights, and background music; it will give more space to enjoy the food. I had the 3 piece tenders with Maple Chipotle and fries combo, and while the pieces had a decent size, every bite was delicious as the meat was soft to cut, the crust was nice and crispy, and with the savory sauce it was very tasty. However, I would point out that the fries were little cold, so I didn't enjoy the serving as much. The service was great as we were welcomed and assigned our table, along the waitress who did amazing untill we left.

If you in a mood of fried chicken with waffles, Sweet Chick is a good spot to eat this kind of food. The vibes of restaurant is trendy and easy. During busy hours on the weekend the service might not that great but still acceptable. I order Chicken n' Waffles which is good and yummy. Grit and Shrimp, I'm not crazy about the sauce. I went to southern restaurant before and they have the way to cook and prepare this dish better. Overall I like the place, it is good for an easy day.

Went here midday on a Sunday and it was not the ambiance I was expecting. It had a cool and nice looking vibe in the photos but it was underwhelming when there. The waitress told me that it would be about 20 minutes because they didn't want to sit a smaller group at a larger table even though there was multiple open tables. There was also a couple ahead of me with same problem. She had an attitude the entire time and zero common courtesy even when I said please and thank you to her. The drinks were nothing to brag about. Had the blueberry muffin waffle. The waffle was good and had fresh blueberries but definitely didn't taste any of the "muffin" and had very little crumb top on it. The hash browns are made on a waffle maker and were super crispy and delicious. Gave 3 stars for the pretty decent food. But the staff needs to check their attitudes and have better service and not make people wait when you have plenty of empty tables.

My sister and I came here for lunch after going to puppy yoga. The restaurant had brunch until 4pm but dinner was served all day. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. We sat down immediately. My sister and I ordered cokes to drink. I didn't like how the coke tasted. It wasn't crisp. For my meal, I ordered the 3 pc bone in chicken bucket that comes with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. My sister ordered buffalo chicken tenders and fries with a side of Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The mashed potatoes could have used some seasoning though. The Mac and cheese was really good and topped with breadcrumbs. We were too full for dessert. The check came to about $50 so wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

TL;DR version- Some high highs and some very low lows. Hot Figs was a fun app. By a mile, the soups…read morewere the favorites, so I would recommend the Pepián or Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo. Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.

The eggs rothko was buttery and flavorful but still managed to not feel too heavy. The broiled tomatos on the side were a nice touch to contrast the egg and toast from the main dish.
