I got the Brooklyn Tree burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were exactly what I wanted, I wish it was slightly crispier but other than that they were amazing! The burger was good too. Service was good and food came out fast. There aren't too many tables inside but it's a good size. There's a single stall bathroom in the back.

Originally planned to go to another brunch spot with a long waitlist around 11AM, so we decided to come here as we saw the good reviews and called ahead to make sure they had seats available. We came around 11:15 so just a little after opening so there were definitely seats open! However around noon tables filled up, seats are limited so would recommend coming early. Pretty much everything we ordered we LOVED! We also got the Buy 1 Get 1 happy hour mimosas. The workers were so sweet and giving us other recommendations to do in the area. Would 100% come back, still thinking about that grilled cheese and tomato soup!!

Such a great experience. Food was great. Service was excellent, well attended, Gustavo took care of us. Definitely will be coming back!

Seekers of healthy food, listen up, because Brooklyn Tree is a cut above other eateries. You may not expect much from the generic name and no frills interior. Their simple menu of sandwiches, plates, and salads even feels uninspired, but the execution is actually flawless. I'm in the area often for comedy nights and bar hangs, and to offset the effects of the alcohol I often seek out a hearty bowl of greens. The Brooklyn Tree has yet to disappoint me. The roasted pumpkin salad is my favorite on the menu, with its crispy chickpeas, red onion, artichoke, pumpkin, and tahini dressing on a bed of greens. The portion if you dine in is especially large, and made even better with a veggie burger or salmon burger as an added protein. I love pairing this with their amazing sweet potato fries, and in the evenings you can even get a beer, wine, or some simple cocktails to go with your order. You order and pay at the register, and there are only a few tables with metal chairs in the space, so note that the vibe is very casual, but for a quick stop before I head out to the bars in the neighborhood, I think Brooklyn Tree is a solid, healthy option.

I'm outing myself here, but I was on the hunt for brunch when I tried to go to Champ's around the corner. The wait was quite long, and I was already hangry. We stopped in here as a Hail Mary and became BLESSED. They had just opened on a Friday morning. Very quaint place, with indoor and outdoor (covered) seating on the street. The staff was incredible, which was a precursor to how amazing the food ended up being. I wasn't expecting it to be bad, but I was blown away at how great it was. In sweet, grungy Brooklyn, we had the best brunch/lunch. Ample vegetarian options. Honestly, such a solid brunch option.

The food was very good and reasonably priced - lots of veggie options, and the service was very nice. We got the pumpkin salad (4/5) and the veggie meatloaf with a side of sweet potato fries and tomato soup (very rich and delicious) (4/5). The ambiance wasnt my favorite - bright lights and basic set up. Might be more of a takeout place, but a solid one at that.

The Brooklyn Tree dishes out delicious food with high quality ingredients. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I've had. I have eaten both in the restaurant and delivery. The meatloaf sandwich is my favorite thing. Homemade, moist, flavorful meatloaf, topped with a red pepper glaze, gruyere, pickles, and greens on ciabatta. I highly recommend. The pernil plate is also excellent. Flavorful and moist. The sugar snap slaw compliments very it well. The cheddar mash as a side is hearty and well seasoned. The chicken schnitzel sandwich is also a great option! Crunchy, moist, and flavorful schnitzel on ciabatta topped with sugar snap slaw, cheddar, and a honey mustard vinaigrette! Finally I really enjoy the cheese puffs with jam sauce. Light and slightly crisp with a light ricotta filling. Definitely check it out!

It's a great takeout spot, but the ambiance inside is also so lovely, with friendly service and just good vibes. I can't explain why but if you need to sit down and debrief with a friend, this place is perfect. They have smoothies and some canned beer happy hour deals too. My two gripes: 1. The food is DELICIOUS & well priced but I'm not a fan of whatever oil they fry their stuff in 2. Whoever does the chalkboard menu art, for the love of all things good in the world, WHY are the fruit options under the smoothie menu written in the wrong colors?? I mean a pink avocado, green ginger, yellow cucumber, red carrots... I dig the rainbow but could you have tried to match at least some of them?? All jokes aside this is a great spot!

Stopped by a Brooklyn Tree for a quick bite before closing. The falafel burger is truly was dreams are made of. Crispy exterior with a pillowy soft interior and the sauces are *chefs kiss*. A pleasant surprise was learning that they have coquito for the holiday season. It was some of the best coquito I've ever had. If you're in the area, this is a spot worth checking out. I'll definitely be back for the falafel burger because they have no competition with that one.

Ordered in from the Brooklyn Tree recently and was very happy I did, as I've been eyeing this spot for delivery for quite some time. Was in need of satisfying yet healthy food that wasn't dig/sweetgreen/cava/etc. This was perfect. I ordered the roasted pumpkin salad (per Morlene's raving review) and the pulled pork sandwich which I believe comes with fries. The salad slapped. Vegetables were roasted perfectly, chickpeas were crispy and seasoned, and it was very filling. The fries were also very good and they don't give you too many (thank God because then I'd eat them all). They had a cajun like seasoning to them and were nice and crispy since they don't overstuff the box. I was so full from these I didn't get to the sandwich until the next day but it was solid. A tad dry but again, you can taste that the ingredients are clean. The slaw in it complemented the pork well. Definitely ordering here again soon!

When I tell you this place is a hidden gem... My friend and I stumbled upon The Brooklyn Tree looking for a quick dinner before a drag show nearby and I was so happy to find this place! The drinks prices are literally too good ($10 for a really good marg, and that's just not happy hour). The food menu was nothing fancy but it was delicious. I got the chicken schnitzel sandwich and would totally recommend it - quinoa and kale side salad is great, and the garlic mash is soooooo good. This place is casual and has a couple outdoor seats, and a counter where you order. But the people were so nice and the food came in good time, and I will most definitely be back! read more

I love this place so much! I get take out here all the time and it never disappoints. May favorite things and one of my best comfort meals is the grilled cheese and tomato soup -- probably the best I've ever had. I also love the kale salad with chicken schnitzel. They also have a great chicken schnitzel sandwich. I felt compelled to write a review since I came in tonight 15 minutes before closing to place a pick up order since I got home super late. I totally expected them to tell me it wasn't possible, but they took pity on me and let me place the order :') Favorite place! Amazing people and food 11/10 read more

The sandwiches are incredible- I would order the grilled cheese with tomato bisque. Sadly though, they increased their prices and a combo that was once $13 is now $18?? $5 increase over the past year or so is pretty steep. read more

Was not surprised by its portion, flavor, friendliness and affordable cost. Chicken schnitzel plate is large crispy moist, with 2 side dishes, sweet potato fries, and a refreshing onsite made cole slaw. Mac n Cheese, and pumpkin salad are also surprises. Great service and tasty food too! The restaurant is small but we ordered takeout and everything was packaged nicely. We got the salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. Nice crunch on the fries and the salmon sandwich was tasty, not much breading. Also got the pernil sandwich which my husband devoured. We also had the mac and cheese special with mushrooms. I think it needed a bit more salt but it had lots of umami flavor. overall a great spot for lunch! read more

Hearty and healthy meals here at the Brooklyn Tree! Came here on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm right before an event. Came in a group of 6, and the restaurant was pretty full. I ordered the meatloaf with two sides ($15), and had a spinach and quinoa salad and french fries as my side. I also got a Moscow Mule ($9) to pair with my meal. Food was great! Meatloaf was baked fresh, portions were big! Meatloaf was seasoned very well, and I really liked their french fries. They were light, airy, crispy, and seasoned really well. The quinoa spinach salad was also a surprise hit. It was slightly citrusy and acidic, has a slight hint of sweetness. Pairs very well with the meatloaf and the fries! Moscow mule was also made really well. I was afraid they would water it down here since it doesn't seem to be a full on bar, but that was a surprising hit and was a great drink to pair with this hot summer day. Visiting the Bushwick neighborhood in Brooklyn, NYC at noon on a Sunday and stumbled across this gem of a restaurant, The Brooklyn Tree. This place is wonderful. The menu is great, offering lunch and brunch. The atmosphere was perfect, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. If you're on your way here - go to plan b. Never tried the food until now - ordered for delivery. Burger was absolutely horrendous and not edible. Hard and stuffed with large pieces of onions inside the meat. It was weird The Mac and cheese was bland but had a nicely-flavored bread crumb topping. This too also had large pieces of onions in it. Large UNCOOKED onions in the Mac and cheese. Someone was lazy today.... I love onions but if I wanted the amount of onions provided, I would've ordered a French onion soup. This place is not for me. This place is nice. The foods good, the prices decent, the vibe's real friendly without being overly anything. Order up at the counter, they bring the food to your table. I had the strada, which was nice and generous portioned (especially in today's overpriced economy!)--and a delightful iced coffee. I think it might be that cafe du monde new orleans stuff, which has a nice flavor. They have a little book library in the corner, if you come to nosh alone and want some non-phone-al distraction, actual print stuff. I had zero complaints, which is rare for me. Well i love food and trying new spots and I was in this area and decided to try I order a burger and chicken tenders both with frys the frys was delicious and the food also my only problem was they only had ketchup to eat my tenders no honey mustard or anything to eat my chicken with. If ima spend 30/40$ for food I think they should have more options to eat it with I would not be eating there again bcuz i don't wanna spend money to only eat my food with ketchup read more

Finally got to come to The Brooklyn Tree after walking past this restaurant several times. We got the hamburger with fries and they were made just the way we like it. The burger was juicy and the fries, crunchy. A side of mac (small) was ordered and it was a plateful! We ordered our drinks and sipped them as we sat outside waiting for food. Customer service is great and accommodating. read more

I love a hole in the wall fun place. The vibe is ultra cool and wicked affordable. I wanted the meatloaf but I was easily swayed to the chicken schnitzel. That dinner has two side so amazon NC mashed potatoes and a creamy butternut soup( so good and still to hot to drink yet) I was the only diner but food was o Going out on delivery !!! And the music and ambiance wanted me to just chill. My meal was great and I never had Schnitzel with hot sauce on my chicken ... not hot Spicey more honey mustard ( I asked) I would gladly come back and I wonder how great is tthe brunch read more

I love this place so much! I get the same order almost every time and it never disappoints. The roasted pumpkin salad (the crispy chickpeas really make it) and veggie loaf. YUMMM! Their ginger mint tea is also very good. One time (out of hundreds of times my order has been perfect) my delivery got messed up and they were still so kind and accommodating. The staff is always very polite and nice. Such a great neighborhood staple and I highly recommend!! read more

I glanced over the raw oysters on another table and was very unimpressed by their miniature size. Also, unlike what their website states, the happy hour oysters are actually $1.50 each, which I found slightly annoying and maybe they should work on updating their website. Instead of going the raw route, I ordered the charbroiled oysters off the happy hour menu to start. I also heard their hush puppies are really famous and so I wanted to give them a try as well. For my main entrée, I saw another patron with a chicken sandwich and I ordered it. The hush puppies were really good, slightly on the sweet side with a fluffy corn batter, crunchy exterior. The dipping sauce that came on the side was actually a molasses butter, which was to die for. I do think that the hush puppies were a little bit on the greasier side, I could see that the insides had soaked in some oil which is never good for a fried item. They should probably work on frying these at a better temperature to keep the dish light and not as greasy. The chicken sandwich I was expecting from the looks of it for the chicken fillet to be meatier and thicker, but, when I bit into it, it was a lot more breading than I thought it would be with very little chicken. I would love if they served even more of those on the side with the sandwich. The salad that came on the side of my sandwich was bright, well seasoned and delicious and not drowning and olive oil, which I appreciated. The charbroiled oysters were honestly a disappointment. This is a dish that probably would've worked well if they were using larger size oysters, but the topping to oyster ratio was just really off. The whole thing was extremely salty and the sauces on the oysters completely overpowered the oyster flavor. These were served with sourdough bread, which was a nice touch because the bread carries the sauce from the oysters very well. The oysters themselves had a lot of grease and then the toasted bread was also very greasy. I think that's one thing that I really did not like about this place is that their food was EXTREMELY GREASY. Normally food with fried components is not supposed to be this heavy but having this meal actually made me feel ill afterwards, and I only ate half of everything and had mad leftovers. I hope that they can improve on certain things based on my feedback. Service was friendly, it's a small space and it's not too hard to get a server's attention. I think their menu has so much potential. If they could just make a few need changes to elevate the quality of their food, this would be easily a five star establishment.

Brooklyn Tree leaves me with mixed feelings. It's a neighborhood staple, and I've ordered from here three times, but the food has been consistently just "okay." Regarding the food itself, there are some hits and misses. The pulled pork, unfortunately, falls short of expectations. It is disappointingly dry and lacks the desired flavor that would make it truly enjoyable. On the other hand, the white cheddar smash is a standout dish. The combination of flavors and textures is spot-on, delivering a perfect balance. However, the sugar snap slaw fails to meet my expectations. I would have preferred a slightly more traditional slaw. I'm giving them 4 stars because my first visit last may 2018 the food was really good. I had the pecan French toast and it will not disappoint. However, this time I opt for the pork chop and waffles (chicken & waffles are only for dinner time) and it was very underwhelming. The most disappointing part of it all was that it was super salty. My friend had the same and they kindly sent it back. But when it returned it lacked taste. So we gave up. We didn't make a fuss but I gather they would have been pretty helpful about it. read more

Extremely rude customer service. I called to make an order at 10:25 they don't close till eleven but apparently they don't deliver after 10:30. The lady on the phone then proceeded to tell me how my clocks wrong and all her iPads say 1030 but it didn't matter because she sent the delivery guy home ten minutes ago. Instead of being polite she was rude and dismissive and told me to go somewhere else if I didnt like their policy. Anyway I will never try and deal with this sub par business ever again. read more

Love this local spot, been going here for years. I grab lunch from here often especially when I need something healthy. Thru have vegetarian and vegan options. I get their salads, tofu schnitzel, veggie sandwich and beet burger. This day i got the beet burger with Quinoa kale salad. I love that everything is homemade and fresh. Their slaw is so good. On my cheat days I like getting their fries which are always good and well seasoned (good portion as well). read more

I consider this place a hidden gem in Brooklyn. The food is always fresh and absolutely amazing. The flavors... just take my word for it and try it yourself. You won't be disappointed. And the staff is amazing. They are always happy and smiling I'll be back as always. If you like a Kale salad you MUST try theirs. And if you don't like a Kale salad... try it anyway because I have never had a Kale sale so good! read more

I don't know why some has so much bad experience with Brooklyn Tree. Our experience was different. Our waiters often checked-up on us and was very friendly. I ordered a Kale salad and the taste was amazing. The burger was also very juicy and very fulfilling. For me, my overall experience was still amazing. A nice place to visit once in a while. read more

Chicken schnitzel is super good and so is the cheddar mash. This is a great spot- the food is delicious and the delivery is super fast.
