Like most NYC restaurants, there not a huge seating selection for large groups (great for 2-4 people and some bar seating) but they do have a long table down the middle if you have a big group. A little on the expensive side but the portions were great. We had a caesar salad with fried chicken and I loved that every piece of the salad was dressed! Their french fries were super addicting but the mac and cheese was a little underwhelming. Next time I'd like to try their cornbread or biscuits and gravy! Service wasn't great (apart from the guy who ran out the food and cleaned off the table) but I think I'd go back next time I'm in the mood to try more of the menu! read more

The butter that came with the waffels were good, I believe one raspberry & one lemon; i asked for extra but they were out. The Mac n cheese was ok but nothing special. It was the chicken for me, very tasty and juicy with good flavor, I got a leg and thigh. Despite the long line for free waffels & chicken the staff got everything moving along smoothly. I was never interested in trying sweet chick because, I'm not a big chicken & waffels fan but they do offer other things on the menu. This location is such a vibe, the space was very cozy and warm on a rainy day, with enough seating, lights, and background music; it will give more space to enjoy the food. I had the 3 piece tenders with Maple Chipotle and fries combo, and while the pieces had a decent size, every bite was delicious as the meat was soft to cut, the crust was nice and crispy, and with the savory sauce it was very tasty. However, I would point out that the fries were little cold, so I didn't enjoy the serving as much. Went here midday on a Sunday and it was not the ambiance I was expecting. It had a cool and nice looking vibe in the photos but it was underwhelming when there. The waitress told me that it would be about 20 minutes because they didn't want to sit a smaller group at a larger table even though there was multiple open tables. There was also a couple ahead of me with same problem. She had an attitude the entire time and zero common courtesy even when I said please and thank you to her. The drinks were nothing to brag about. Had the blueberry muffin waffle. The waffle was good and had fresh blueberries but definitely didn't taste any of the "muffin" and had very little crumb top on it. The hash browns are made on a waffle maker and were super crispy and delicious. Gave 3 stars for the pretty decent food. My sister and I came here for lunch after going to puppy yoga. The restaurant had brunch until 4pm but dinner was served all day. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. We sat down immediately. My sister and I ordered cokes to drink. I didn't like how the coke tasted. It wasn't crisp. For my meal, I ordered the 3 pc bone in chicken bucket that comes with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. My sister ordered buffalo chicken tenders and fries with a side of Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The mashed potatoes could have used some seasoning though. The Mac and cheese was really good and topped with breadcrumbs. We were too full for dessert. The check came to about $50 so wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. A group of us ate here together during our college reunion weekend. The lights were dimly lit at our cafeteria-style table. Our waiter was very pleasant but she may have been new because we had an order situation that went south very fast. Let's just say, people ordered food and some of us never got their meal. A large group of 8 and one poor guy literally left to go to a restaurant down the block to eat there before his order never came out. Literally, everyone around him got their meal but him. When his order arrived we called him to say bro, they finally got your order out. But he was "over it" and did not come back to eat it. Instead, he chose to stay at the new spot and finish his meal there, no problem. I did not blame him. So we told them to send his order back. A situation like that is completely unacceptable. To add insult to injury, the manager on duty did not take responsibility or apologize or offer to give us a discount for the inconvenience to make up for the negative experience. One person in our group, wasn't buying the lame excuse from the manager on duty as to why he did not demonstrate basic customer service etiquette. This whole situation left a sour taste in our mouth even though the food was decent. You can tell my review is not even focused on the Classic Chicken and fries because I was not a fan of how the situation was mishandled. read more

The sweet chili chicken sandwich is really messy so prepare yourself for pieces dropping, and sauce all over your hands, but its worth it. The flavors together are really really good. I had the iced tea which paired well with the sandwich. I also tried the grits. The grits are also really good. Very filling, and a lot of flavor. They were so good we just keep eating them! A cool concept as they are completely server free and everything is done through QR code. I've been to sweet chick a couple times and it's always packed. The atmosphere is loud and exciting but not overcrowded. They do a good job of spacing the tables and allowing people their own space. The food is good (not incredible). The chicken is (sometimes) dry and the waffles are (sometimes) too dense and chewy. The flavors are pretty great though and their dishes are pretty unique. We were recommended the Mac and cheese which was made with ritz crackers and it didn't disappoint! Very filling though so don't underestimate the portion size. Walking into Sweet Chick on a beautiful Sunday morning, I was definitely eager for a delicious breakfast. Upon walking into the establishment it was pretty empty so seating was quick and easy. From the time we were sat, we waited about 10 minutes for water and then another 15 minutes for our server to return so we could place our order. When placing the order of shrimp and grits, which came in the cutest / smallest bowl, I was disappointed. This was the second time visiting this location, so I just assumed that the Kitchen was having an off day. When I started to eat my breakfast, I realized that the entire meal were very cold. I asked my guests at that time was their meal cold as well and they replied yes. The coffee that was ordered was way hotter than the food that was consumed. It was definitely not one of my top enjoyable breakfasts. The environment was amazing. The restrooms were clean and you can even get street parking or take the train to this location which was very convenient. It's definitely great for friends and family and I would recommend trying to make reservations because they can get very busy especially on a Sunday or a weekend day.
