This review is purely for the mushroom latte with oat milk that was picked up on my behalf. I don't have experience with the service or shop firsthand. Anyway, when I got my drink, I thought the design of the cup is pretty cool...from the font to the cartoon legs! I ordered the mushroom latte because this seemed like a unique offering of Superba, and I subbed it with oat milk because lactose, ya know? And I think oat milk doesn't affect the flavor of a drink too much, and it's also creamy! Anyway, I read from other reviews that the mushroom latte does not actually contain espresso, which is interesting because the mushroom latte is listed under the "espresso" section of the menu. Some other reviewers ordered an espresso shot to add as a result. The taste is what you might expect of a mushroom latte. The best way to describe the drink itself is that it's earthy/mushroom-y. Some have said that it's basically powdered mushroom in the drink...so powdered mushroom + oat milk. I definitely did not taste any espresso in the drink, so if you're looking for that taste, I'd add espresso. Great to try if you're curious, but I wouldn't get this drink again. **Delivery Review only** I ordered some breakfast burritos and pastries from Superba via Postmates, and yum! Their breakfast burrito looked like it was on the small side, but it was actually the perfect size. There was no choice to change the meat, but bacon, eggs, and tots was perfect! What made it even more perfect was the crispy melted cheese on the outside - way to give a solid burrito a bump to stand out. To me, it's a good backup since my favorite other breakfast burrito place is a tad far. The Kougin Amann that I got was also pretty decent - it had a small amount of either cream or really melted sugar in the center, with a good crispy sugar crust outside. I have wanted to come to Superba for a long time. It a cute little cafe. The food was pretty tasty for what I ordered. I had the burrito and my baby had the yogurt, coffee, and a croissant. The veggie burrito was a nice size and wasn't overpriced. The yogurt has a lot of stuff in it like fruit and coconut (I think) but it was a good combo. The coffee was cool too, I think I had the mocha that day and wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly and accommodating as I was trying to find a dish that suited my baby's needs. My niece and I have had breakfast here every other Saturday for like 6 months now. It's our first stop of our days together. She loved it there and they are always supportive of her independence streak as she tries to buy her own gummy bears on her way out. She also has autism so her occasional break downs are just taken in stride and her increasing ability to use her words are noticed and celebrated. Great place, tasty food. read more

My husband and I walked by this place many times and finally had a chance to try it. It's prices are very reasonable! The drinks are $5-$6 so that is average. But the salmon bowl was $14 and breakfast sandwich $8ish so it is pretty good compared to other places that would charge $10+. Stopped by this place quick and loved it and will surely be coming back. I tried their Spanish latte (hot) half sweetened and it was still a good amount of sweet. I recommend it. They're almond croissant is finger licking good. A must try. I was trying to only eat half and failed miserable, I ate it all, yikes. I also got the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! It wasn't huge or small, just the perfect size and very filling. We eat at the Venice location all the time and we love it. We stopped at this location for a light brunch on our way out of town and I was disappointed with my meal. We ordered an orange juice, a latte, the breakfast burrito and the roasted chicken sandwich. The drinks were good and my husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito but the bread of my sandwich was stale and inedible so I basically ate sandwich filling for my breakfast. The bread at the Venice location is fantastic so I don't understand why this location had a huge stack of this pre-sliced bread sitting there getting stale. We also don't normally mind their "Happy and Healthy" surcharge when we're getting table service but not so much when you order at thr counter and pick up your order yourself. read more

Yo this place is dope!! Literally the perfect cafe to catch up with a friend at, crack out your laptop and get some work done, or just grab a quick cup of joe. Absolutely delicious! The salmon was much more tender than I expected, the sauce comes on the side, and the brown rice, kale, sweet potato made a lovely healthy balance. Seriously, this stuff tasted so good and was also nourishing to the body and soul. The real winners here are their innovative cafe menu, I'd say. Their mushroom latte was one I heard a LOT about, and I had to try it! There is no coffee in it; it's supposed to leave you feeling energized with its natural mushroom properties. When I asked the cashier if she thought it was a good idea to try it, she said that if I didn't like it, she'd be happy to make me something else, which was so sweet of her to offer! If I had some time I would have went in and gave her some piece of my mind. If you're ringing someone up it should not bother you if it's being paid cash, credit card or gift card! If it bothered her so much that she was paying gift card and gave her an attitude saying why she didn't mentioned it to her in the first place and now she has to do it over again. Under her breath she said so dumb and I'm annoyed. Excuse me?! Don't just say it under your breath say it loud and clear~! Would I go back to this dump, no I wouldn't! Is it worthy to be treated like this because this spot is so good?! The space is cute and the cafe offers pastries, hot food, espresso drinks, and other beverages. We went here on a weekday and the place wasn't too busy! We had the breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito and the avocado toast. We also ordered two pastries. The pastries were light and flaky. The other food came to our table and was piping hot and tasty. The portions were decent, especially considering that each item was less than $10. The space would be great for a quick bite to eat. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. The cafe has its own parking lot, but you can also park in the street as well. The cafe is about a 10 minute drive away from the Huntington Library. The drinks are decent and priced fairly. Love the food here and decided to eat here last weekend instead of doing my usual takeout...oh and what a mistake that was! The gal at the register taking our order (she had bleached hair and was wearing Converse, possibly Latina) was so incredibly rude to us when we had questions about the menu. When our names were called to pickup our drinks at the counter they handed us the wrong one. The place is filthy. Crumbled up trash and residue on all the tables. Several tables had garbage underneath them that was sitting there for a while until someone decided to sweep. Patrons here bus their own tables after eating. How can we reasonably be expected to do that when the bussing station is overflowing with trays and dirty plates? It was not cleared out the entire 1.5 hours I was there.
