As always the food is fantastic and the service is beyond excellent. Reasonably priced for what you get.

This restaurant is not a five-star it's a 10 star. If I had had room I would take one of everything on the menu and it would be absolutely fabulous delicious. You have to try the Chowder fries. Anything else you have is going to be fantastic. Best restaurant on the Golden Mile. The service was through the roof. read more

Great service, great food!! Shrimp bowl was fantastic as well as the calamari! Great atmosphere!

My fourth time at the sunset grille and i have to say this time was horrible, told us only 30 min wait turned into 2 hours. They took people that were there way after us with the same amount of people. The food was good but not worth the wait by far. terrible terrible terrible read more

First of all, Fantastic manager, he was the "koozie fairy" for our delicious local brews. Our service from Joanie was fantastic, friendly and fast, the food was so tasty! We had the crab Rangoon dip which was unique and out of this world! Shrimp and grits were different but delish! Ribs were fall off the bone! Top notch place, We will be back!!! read more

We got lucky & arrived right before the Friday night rush (got there about 5:30). Wait staff was good. I had the Fried Goat Cheese Salad with Shrimp. It was excellent & I want to try to recreate it at home. :) read more

Nice place right near the beach. Seafood was fresh and the service was quick and attentive. Definitely need to try the clam chowder, it was some of the best we have ever had. Ordered the crab legs and received a very healthy portion and market price was only $24.99 which is very reasonable especially in a tourist area like this. Would recommend if you are looking for a non chain restaurant while visiting the St Augustine area. read more

Great atmosphere! Great food!! We ordered calamari for our appetizer and my husband loved it. Me not so much. I don't normally like things like that. I got the coconut shrimp and my husband got the shrimp and grits. Our waitress Britnie was very good. She made sure we understood what we were ordering, especially with the shrimp and grits. It is not your normal shrimp and grits. It has grit cakes. My husband thought it had an Italian taste to it because of the sauce. He really liked it. My coconut shrimp was very good. The dipping sauce that comes with it is very sweet tasting. Staff was very friendly and on top of things. The second you finished with a plate they took it off the table. Manager was also very nice. He came over to our table a few times to check on us. I even got a free t-shirt!!! read more

The outside decor and the atmosphere were nice. We sat on the upper deck and the sea breeze made it quite nice. The 2 stars is in relation to the horrible service we received. Our server was not attentive nor pleasant. Instead of asking us how our meals were or asking if we would like more drinks (we did), we saw him repeatedly on his phone. The food was okay. My husband enjoyed the tender ribs and crispy fries, and the peanut butter pie dessert was nice, but nothing else was memorable. If the service had been even decent, I would have given this restaurant 3 stars. read more

Food was amazing!!!! Hubby and I have been coming to St. Augustine/Crescent Beach for 9 years and I must say I wish we had eaten here sooner. I had the fried shrimp and its was perfect and I am very picky when it comes to seafood. Hubby had the Tortellini Alfredo with blackened chicken and I was almost jealous I didn't get it. We sat upstairs and even on a hot evening the breeze from the ocean is amazing. Also ask for Matt as a server perfect!!! read more

Sunset Grille - Seafood Near Me - Saint Augustine, Florida

Great fish tacos! Great service and beautiful ocean breeze. Joyce and Terry Pacetti locals place to go!!

We always stop when in St Augustine, and were never disappointed. Friendly staff and lical brewed beer, what else can I say

Wasn't impressed at all with our visit tonight. No cell phone service inside and no wifi....time to get get with the program here. Hard to get an Uber without cell service. Bartender was not friendly. We got the feeling that locals were much more welcome than those stopping in town for a visit. I know we won't bother stopping by next time we're in town. read more

Best minorcan at the beach. New minorcan is worth your time. They have good staff and the food is awesome Location works lots to do In the area. read more

Walked in and was promptly greeted by a manager and hostess. Seated immediately and server (Jackie) took our drink order. Very friendly and joked with us from the beginning. Appetizer came out fast, as did salads and entrees. Food was typical of this type of restaurant. Portions were huge though and two of us needed to-go boxes. Might return when back in town. Was worth the drive from our hotel. read more

Always busy, always excellent service and the food is always great! The only complaint I can think of is the hard wooden seats. Stop by and check them out. You won't be disappointed! read more

This place was busy, but we had great service and the food was delicious. My husband had the lobster ravioli and I had the seafood platter (grilled). When we were done one of the owners came by to check on us. It's rare to have an owner check in after a meal and he was genuinely interested in knowing how we felt. Great place all the way around! read more

Awesome meal, food, location...everything. Chuck the manager was pleasant and welcoming. JP went above and beyond to get us a non menu item. Highly recommend and will return. read more

First time in Saint Augustine. This place was recommended by a local shop owner. I ordered the crab legs, which were not washed before the were cooked. Quite sure I will never go here again. read more

Best food and drink on the strip. Large menu, with good food. Southern food and beach food that will please all.

I've been to Saint Augustine Beach two times, and I've eaten at the Sunset Grille both times. Very good! Menu has a good variety, staff is very friendly, and food was great! read more

Good enough, really nothing special. The clam chowder and French fries are weird but good... enough. We went to the sunset grille because we wanted a, "beachy" place. Really tho all the other places (cafe 11, Obi's) are super good and have a happy hour. The sunset grille has no happy hour, ho hum service non local fish, and no sunset. Skip the tourist trap and go to the small places. If i returned i would not go to sunset grille or recommend it. read more

Well what can I say about the Sunset Grille. First... it was across from the hotel so convience was a largely deciding factor to dine there at first. Now after that being said the food was extremely tasty. The peel and eat shrimp there was a huge hit with our large party with the only issue being the bowls were never large enough. Lol. They accommodated our large party fairly quickly. The wait staff was absolutely great. My dad and I love to have fun banter with staff because it's our mission to always make them laugh. To have staff willing to "give it back to us" always makes a place memorable for my family. The food was always hot, fresh, and plentiful. We ended up eating there several times over the week just because of the wait staff. You know you've got a great place when the wait staff congregate around our table to laugh and other tables of strangers join in the fun. This place is lots of fun. Having great food is just a bonus. read more

What a fantastic place with awesome staff. If you're visiting and looking for somewhere to go please don't miss this place. They went out of the way to ensure that our experience was a great one. Thanks guys you all rock read more

Great food, the wait and hostess booth checkin process was a little chaotic. But over all highly recommended.

We came as a family on our summer vacation and decided to try out Sunset Grille after reading the reviews. Long story short, the service was extremely slow and inconsistent (the only times we saw him were to take orders, deliver food and deliver checks). We were there for a total of 3 hours by the time we left. The manager stopped by several times to check on us. He stopped by right before we left and we mentioned the slow service and he made excuses instead of apologizing. Probably will not be back to this restaurant. To be fair, the food was fine...nothing out of this world, but good enough. read more

I visited this restaurant with a group of 10 people. We are all Floridians but not local to the area. The atmosphere was great--we sat out at a big table and enjoyed the nice weather, and nothing felt overly "touristy" (though we did have a good laugh at how strongly the restaurant advertises their "Award Winning" status: it's on everything!). However, the food was the low point. The "award winning" chowder and chowder fries were deemed to be worthy of the award by those who ordered it. The Sea BLT was said to be bland and tasteless with soggy bread. The wings, even at the hottest spice level, had no spice to them. The fish bites were overpriced for the small amount you got. I ordered the side salad, which was very good, and the shrimp po'boy, which was inexplicably served on a hard, crispy rosemary cibatta loaf--all delicious components, but they did not go together at all. All in all, there seem to be a few excellent things on the menu here, and the atmosphere and service are great, but most of the menu leaves something to be desired, for sure. read more

They do not do reservations and get very crowded very quickly. The food was great, the wait wasn't terrible, but the only thing holding this back was the hostess. We got there about 6:30 and went to the second floor. We were told 35 minutes which is always hard to do with out 5 year old daughter who is constantly restless. About 30 minutes into the wait, another party with the same about of people walks up and is obviously a regular because they were greeted personally. They asked how long and the hostess said just a minute we will clean off a table. So we figured we were going to be sat next and that they must have 2 tables being cleaned. Nope. They say this party and when we asked how much longer with an attitude the hostess says "Well we told you 35 minutes and it's only been 30 so at least another 5" and when asked why they sat them first they had no response. Other than that the service was good (not great a little slow) but food was amazing. Would give them another chance for sure. read more

This is a MUST if you are in St.Augustine! Perfect ending to a beach day. The staff is incredible, food is delicious, and the key lime pie was by far the best! I may have spilled water all over the table BUT ITS FINE! The staff was so quick to helping and making the situation lighthearted. The manager Chuck is so kind and welcoming. 10/10 this restaurant read more

great ribs!! Loved everything!!! a really nice place to visit!!! ribs were very jucy. not dry and tough!

The coconut shrimp with piña colada dipping sauce is heaven! Also the crab bisque is pretty delicious and hard to find at other places. My husband and I ordered all appetizers including those, crab spinach dip, and fried pickles! Friendly staff too. read more

When I order to go from here. Everything is always spongy and soggy. However, the fried calamari from here is one of the best I've had. Not many places I've tried offer calamari with the tentacles, this place does. After trying some other local places, this place seems very bland. Nothing makes this place stand out very much in appearance or taste. read more

Always have a good experience here service and food wise. Coconut shrimp is best around!

I will never go back. I went to lunch thinking because of the proximity to the beach and bikes out front, going in with a cute bathing suit cover up after being on the beach all day was OK. The server was AWFUL in every sense of the word. Her name is Sarah - I could not get a request out (for napkins, a refill, etc) without her rolling her eyes and running away. When confronted, she said she was busy. I let her know there's a difference between busy and rude. I spoke with the owner, who apologized and was obviously ready for me to move along. I dropped $70 for four people on a lunch, and I really, truly, will never go back. Nor will I have any friend or family member go through what I went through. read more

Was in town from NC this week and decided on this restaurant in part from its nice reviews. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The location and decor were neat, but the service was very poor from the beginning (keeping in mind that we came early for dinner and that the restaurant was not abnormally busy). The meal started off great with some delicious clam chowder, but things went downhill pretty quickly. In an hour of being there, our table of 10 got one round of refills only, with no other attempts to check from the wait staff. The food was expensive and priced like fresh fish, but it was highly unlikely that any of it was actually fresh. Between the tuna, mahi mahi, scallops, shrimp, and whitefish we had, none of it was tender or worth the 20+ price. It was "meh" food for a much higher price. Nothing was bad or disgusting...just disappointing. We won't be back. read more

My husband and I enjoyed our meal there. The service was fast and the waiter's were friendly. The food was very fresh and we didn't have to wait long for it to be served. I would recommend this place. read more

Found ourselves looking for a dinner spot last night. Then I remembered the Sunset Grill has been liking a lot of my Instagram photos. After looking over the menu online we've decided that would be the place for dinner. My girlfriend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was cooked to perfection and all of the condiments that came with it were delicious. I had the mahi-mahi sandwich. Usually when I order that sandwich at other restaurants the piece of fish doesn't even come close to covering the bun but not at Sunset Grill. I think the piece of fish that was on my sandwich was probably bigger than the bun. I am a satisfied customer and will be back again for sure! read more

Excellent food and great waiter Lex made our dining experience great! So good we ate there twice this week!
