We had such a fantastic experience at the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre this past Friday for the Parker McCollum concert, and I wanted to take a moment to share how impressed we were. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was welcoming, organized, and genuinely helpful. We had a small issue with our seats, and the team at the information booth handled it quickly and kindly they went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved so we could fully enjoy the show. One moment that really stood out was in the women's restroom, there was a staff member managing the line, and she was absolutely incredible. She kept things moving efficiently, maintained a positive and upbeat attitude, and truly made what could have been a stressful situation feel seamless. It may seem like a small detail, but it made a big impact on the overall experience. The venue itself has such a great atmosphere, clean, well-run, and very family friendly. You can tell that there's a strong commitment to guest experience at every level, and it doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone who made the evening so enjoyable. I came here a few months ago for a concert & I was genuinely impressed with the venue. Everything from the sound system to the lighting to the seating set up is great. There's a large canopy that covers the lower seating area, as well as the pit, but the rows farther back are uncovered. I enjoyed my spot in the lower seats because that canopy makes all the difference in the FL sun. The stage & venue aren't the biggest so that gives it a more intimate feel which was nice. It'll still fit in well over 4,000 people, though, so you can catch some big names here. The merch lines definitely build up so that's unfortunate, but they're handled efficiently. Prices at the concessions aren't too bad, they're actually on the cheaper side compared to some of the places I go for concerts/events. There were also a good handful of water fountains throughout. One of my favorite things about this place is that it's essentially located in Anastasia State Park so it's surrounded by nature. The beachfront is only a few miles away so it's nothing short of beautiful. The employees were friendly which always adds to the experience. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing another concert here soon. read more

Love this venue! "The Amp" is an intimate venue with 4,100 seats, there's no bad seat in the house. A large part of the seating area is covered by a two spire tent which in addition to creating a really cool look, provides shade, and in our case, cover from rain. The smaller space contributes to the excellent sound quality. The only negative is the service. With the exception of two people, everyone working there was very rude. Maybe it was the rain. Finally, "The Amp" books top notch acts which tend to sell out early. Pollstar consistently ranks The St. Augustine Amphitheater number three on it's ranking of the top 50 international amphitheaters. read more

The Amp doesn't disclose their website or their "ticket partner" AXS when buying that some tickets are restricted from resale. When a personal conflict arose, I tried to resell tickets purchased through the Amp on AXS, the resell tab wouldn't work. I contacted AXS, they said to contact the Amp, who in turn initially blamed AXS. After back & forth between AXS & Amp, the Amp manager finally stated the performers restricted reale. He further stated they didn't know that, doesn't think its a material fact that should be disclosed, and their "subject to change" conditions clause covers that - even if the tickets were restricted at time of sale. While its a nice venue, as new residents we were eager to attend more concerts, the Amp's deceptive & unfair ticket sale / disclosure practice has turned me off from buying more tickets read more

The Saint Augustine Amphitheatre is hands-down my favorite outdoor live music venue in all of Florida. They consistently bring in incredible acts and somehow manage to keep ticket prices reasonable. Honestly, it feels like there's no bad seat in the house. Getting in is always a breeze, and while parking can be tricky, they've got it covered with shuttles from Anastasia State Park and other spots. Personally, I like to stay down the street at the Courtyard Marriott- it's an easy $12 Uber to and from the show. The staff here are genuinely some of the kindest people you'll meet, such a sweet, welcoming crew every single time. Food and drink options are surprisingly good, especially for a venue this size. Over the years, I've seen at least ten shows here, and each one has been a memorable experience. Beyond concerts, the venue is a hub for the community hosting a fantastic farmers market every Saturday and participating in Sing Out Loud and other local festivals. I love this place so much it makes me wish I lived in St. Augustine. If you get the chance to see a show here- do it! The Amp is seriously a true gem! read more

A gorgeous, gorgeous venue. The only downside is there are some seats that have an obstructed view and the ticket sites don't always share that so be careful. It's lovely sitting in the last section and seeing the sunset while watching the performer. Definitely get there early to check out the different food trucks and enjoy the outdoor area before heading in. Plenty of food and drink options. Restroom lines can get long. read more

My buddy had a spare Foreigner ticket for sale and I had to bite ;) it was a last minute thing as the person who bailed, left him hanging so he sold the ticket to me for a great deal. I had never been to this venue before and wasn't sure how traffic and parking would turn out. Fortunately it was a Sunday evening so getting to the venue was a breeze. Once there, I found out that all the entrances to Anastasia Park were blocked off except for one, which was for pre-pay VIP parking. I did some research beforehand and found that you can park free in Satellite parking and take the tram over to the venue or park in the Elks Club parking lot for $20. I opted for the $20 lot so I could conveniently get to and from the amphitheatre via a short trail plus beat the crowd and traffic when heading home. The Elks club is open to the public so if you're looking for better priced drinks before entering the amphitheatre, the Elks is the best and closest deal around. There were three entrances into the venue with multiple security checkpoints available providing efficient entry. Once inside, you will find plenty of drink and food vendors available. Drinks are a bit pricey but it's pretty much competitive with any other venue like this one. Two tall IPA beers came to $30. If you come back with your reusable cup you can save a dollar on refills, not the best but better than nothing. The seating section closest to the stage is covered but seats further back are not, so be sure to know where your seats are before purchasing tickets to avoid inclement weather. Also be sure to bring a light jacket. It was windy at night which made it seem more cold than it actually was The seats are probably my biggest complaint about this venue they are very small and are mounted so close together that you can't help but bump and rub against the person next to you. If you need to get up to use the restroom or grab another drink it can be a major interruption to other concert goers. The lighting and sound during our event was magnificent. I couldn't have asked for a better audio-visual experience. I would definitely come back for another show in the future and highly recommend seeing a show here if you have the opportunity. read more

This place refused to refund our tickets to a show that was not performed mercy me . We sat in the storm for over an hour all for them to say come back in 20 hours for a second attempt to see the concert . The people who had the tickets all 8 of them tried transferring the tickets to each of us as they flew in from New Jersey to see the concert and had a return flight home the day it was rescheduled for . Loran promised a refund would be given I received in a email I still have not received a refund . The box office here is horrible Chanel and Loran were horrible to speak with they would not help us all we wanted was to see a Christian concert which turned gangster fast . read more

We are SO lucky to have a venue like the St. Augustine Amp right here in town!! Seriously, it's such a blessing to have a spot this good so close to home. We go multiple times a year for all kinds of events--concerts, festivals, you name it--and every experience has been smooth and enjoyable. I love that they offer free shuttles from satellite lots... it makes parking and getting in and out so much easier (especially when you're juggling kids or snacks or both ). They also do a great job encouraging sustainability, which I appreciate! You get $1 off drinks when you bring your cup back to the bar--such a simple but smart perk. Oh, and don't sleep on the food! Went to a concert last night at this outside venue located away from downtown St. Augustine. While we went to a concert in August, the later start time (730pm) allowed for it to cool down some. I was impressed by the venue and the set up. Sold out it holds a little less than 4K and while the lower bowl is covered, the back half is open to the elements. So if it rains, they will keep playing but you will get soaked like we did - it will all depend on your stomach for weather on how much you enjoy it if it was raining. Ours artists played through a lighting storm. However, I do think a show in late fall or early spring would be amazing bc you would be outside in good weather. They do offer concessions and they also allow local vendors and food trucks to come in so you get a better variety than most concerts. The facilty is staffed mostly by volunteers, from parking to ushers to food service and they are pleasant and generally helpful. They use AXS for ticket sales which will not charge you as much as ticket master but every ticket I got was a resale and marked up by the seller. Try to go through the amphitheater if you can, but it is hard to figure out when tickets go on sale. The only down side I saw was parking, like their website says it is limited. We opted to park at one of the off-site parking spots at Anastasia State Park and while we had no problem catching the shuttle on the way to the show, the line to get back after the show was super long (esp. for sold out shows). So long, that one of the security guards recommended walking, which we opted for. The walk back is dark and takes between 15-20 minutes so be prepared to use the flashlight on your phone at times or if you plan on walking after your show maybe pack one. Also, the volunteers are no longer there at the end and there are a couple of turns at the end where you can get turned around (luckily we did not). There are also Ubers available and bike taxis (but I am not sure how far they go). All in all good experience, minus some normal concert hiccups. read more

I always enjoy my time at the Amphitheatre and I especially appreciate how they always feature "smaller" or less mainstream artists! I was able to see Slowdive a couple days ago and the Amp was the perfect setting! The lighting display for the artists was on point and a great accompaniment. I've also been to other shows in the past where they have completely transformed the stage at the request of the artist; so they are great at curating a visually sound show! My only complaint would be the sound! The opener the other night was extremely hard to hear and was super washed out. I've been to a plethora of other shows where the sound was great so, I count this as a possible mistake. Other than that the staff is always so kind and helpful and I love how you get to enjoy being outside while still covered by a huge canopy! Overall, a great venue! read more

This was a very interesting venue. Most concert halls and amphitheaters that I have visited were more in an urban setting. This place made you feel like you were deep in the forest somewhere. The parking was easy. The actual lot on the premises is small so cannot accommodate all patrons. But the satellite parking they have implemented was a piece of cake. Within seconds, we parked, and were picked up by a shuttle and in minutes we were at the venue. Definitely the easiest in and out of a concert ever. The staff and volunteers were all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Being in a wheelchair, sometimes I can get swallowed up by crowds, but not here. Everyone was smiling, and for the most part was courteous and helpful. The lay-out of the arena was fabulous which made going to the restrooms, beverage booths, or food stalls a breeze. The generous pours on refreshments made the price tag less painful. We didn't realize that not only were The Motel's opening up for Pat Benatar, but so were The Vindy's. It's sad that even the boomer generation which made up most of the audience, STILL has not learned concert etiquette The Vindy's started jamming right at 6:30 pm. Unfortunately the amphitheater was maybe a 1/4 full. Most everyone still milled about, chatting and laughing, which unfortunately interrupted the folks, like us, who were actually seated and trying to listen to the band. I was surprised that the venue still was half empty when The Motels took the stage. What a shame. The sound was excellent and we really enjoyed the show. We certainly would return, but only in the cooler months. Our evening temps could not have been better. Wheelchair seating was located just where the overhang stopped. Attended a few concerts here, always had a good time. Tips: Pull your tickets up in advance- wifi is not always the best at entry. Seating, not really a bad seat but expect the pit to be one layer folding chairs (so view depends who you're s sitting in front of you). Middle section is stadium style with cover and offers great seats across. Too is stadium bleachers style- no cover. Entry- Pretty easy if you purchase the on-site parking. Otherwise people can walk pretty far or have to take a shuttle from another lot. Staff- entrance and drinks, all great and nice. Tons of options to pick from and cash only and card only booths. Drinks- Doubles for about $21, on par or less with many places. Food offerings too- pretzels, chips, normal stadium food. Vendor booths- somewhat limited, so expect some lines. Sound- pretty good, clear and crisp. No complaints so far. They offer a wide variety of performers over the year, which is nice. Less crazy than a large stadium which is great as well- much easier to get in and out from. Will continue to attend concerts here for the variety and ease alone. read more

The amphitheater has been the location for the Venardos circus since 2017. These are truly a talented group of people. The amphitheater provides free parking for the event. Following is based on two experiences in last month- Khruangbin and Billy Strings Live Performance not factoring in this review. Food is decent- pretty impressive for an amphitheater to have some unique options like a sausage served with peppers, I didn't have that but had nachos and the cheese that came with was not bad at all. As an ex dairy farmer and a big fan of cheese I was happy. Drinks- expensive but you are paying for the convenience, not wholesale price so was anticipating that. Also are well done and well garnished. Service- impeccable, very kind service staff, helpful and focused security, even as I was lingering in the stands after the event they were kindly keeping me and other crowd members moving to exit the stage area as our welcome was overstayed long after most crowd left. Ambiance- 3/5 ONLY because I was behind that damn pole that supports the tent exterior and ceiling like structure. It affected my visual for one concert. That's not really anyone's fault, just the construction of this type of venue. But besides there was plenty of room, great sound effects and good seating. Overall: events, construction, training of staff, purchasing options all seemed well thought out and were orchestrated well. I love this venue. read more

Honestly one of the best venues I've been to for concerts. Only thing I don't like about this place is how long their merch line gets. If you're not there at doors opening, you run the risk of being in that merch line for an hour or more, without a doubt. The venue is very nice with a decent amount of parking at a low price. Always buy parking ahead of time because it WILL sell out before doors open. They offer shuttles to bring you but they get crazy at the end of the shows to get back. The venue workers are super friendly and always have a smile on their faces when I need help with where I need to go. The place is always super clean and the seats are pretty comfortable when it comes to sitting for a bit of time. The overall feel of this place is very cozy and more intimate compared to other amphitheaters. The food and drink prices are generic and one thing I like is when you get a drink you are given a cup you can refill with a discount of a dollar off the total price of the drink. They also offer mixed drinks with some of the local Distillary and winery's around st Augustine. Lovely venue with good drink and food prices as well as staff! read more

Love THE AMP! I have seen Joe Bonamassa there a few times and like the smaller, outdoor venue with beautiful ocean breezes, compared to a large arena. I invest in a good seat, prefer the right side of the pit, with folding chairs. Easy access to a clean bathroom and beverages. I have used Anastasia parking, riding the shuttle to and from. Be prepared for a long line waiting for the bus, but it makes continuous loops, so things move quickly. I have also parked at The Elks for $20. It is adjacent to the amphitheater so you can pre-game and it is an easy 10 minute walk. The attendants and staff are friendly and helpful. I try to buy my tickets directly through the AMP's sales instead of Ticketmaster. It is helpful to sign up for notifications of upcoming concerts to grab the best seats when they first go on sale! read more

Been to a few concerts here and it is one of my favorite venues. First time seated a bit higher but there's really not a bad seat - and I can speak from experience. The staff is great -- from entrance to bar/concessions to ushers/security. Bathroom was clean and line went fast. I dropped it to a 4 star rating because really need more food options. One food truck line was ridiculous. We waited in line for over 30 mins and once we got to the front that specific truck was sold out. We had 5 mins left to get to our seats! So luckily lines to concession were short, so we grabbed something quick (sausage w peppers/onions) only for it to be soggy. I couldn't even eat it. Other than that, great venue. We will continue to see concerts here but will most likely eat before or after. read more

Wow! This is the coolest concert venue I've ever been to. We ventured to St. Augustine for the 311 concert and really did not know what to expect. Since Historic St. Augustine is so small, I assumed this would be a full ampitheatre with parking etc. separate from the town. I had no idea this would be on a totally different part of St. Augustine near the beach and state park. All of the signs said "parking full" as we got closer and closer, and I started to get nervous since we had no idea where we were. There were very small signs that said free satellite parking with arrows. The directions for someone clueless about the area were really not good at all. We are now miles and miles away from the venue when we pull up to the gate for free parking. The woman asks if I'm here for camping. Uh oh. I ask where the free concert parking is and she tells me to go straight. I park (we are literally next to the beach) and get on a shuttle that takes us down dark gravel roads in the woods and we arrive at the entrance. I don't know how or where we were, but it worked. It was a whole adventure to arrive. Once inside I was impressed with the variety of food and drink options. There was a line for the women's bathroom both times I used it. The ampitheatre has good views from all of the seats. We were up high and still could see and hear. The volunteer workers were so friendly. It was just overall great vibes and ambiance. The venue is built into the state park. So cool. I can't wait to go back, especially now that we understand the parking situation. read more

The venue itself is nice, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to attend an event there. Not only was the main parking lot sold out, but the satellite lot was also full. How on earth does a venue not have nearly enough parking? And it's not in an area where street parking is feasible, and there aren't additional lots around as there would be in a typical city. In addition, the lines to get in are insanely long and move soooooo slowly. Lesson learned - get there suuuuuuuper early if you want to park at or near the venue - and get in to see openers. read more

Food and music was great! We love this venue. However, people are not staying in their purchased seats, nor are they required to stay in them. This creates issues when they are rude and refuse to sit down for those of us behind them while they enjoy more expensive seating without paying for them. If this is acceptable to the Amp then I may go sit where ever ther are empty seats regardless of what I pay for the original seating. So, if you believe that people should pay their way, then this will be a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. BUYERS BEWARE. read more

Best place for live music! I've been waiting to review The Amp, as locals call it, until I had seen enough concerts to get a good feel for the place. I've seen more than 12 concerts in the last year and Sat all I've the place. The acoustics are excellent and it was mentioned by both Bonnie Raitt and Adam Sandler that playing there makes the audience sounds of clapping vibrate back to the performers. There is not a "bad seat" in the house. Maybe up in the bleacher areas, but if you've ever sat in the top rows of the Forum in Los Angeles you would laugh. My tips on seating: The seated pit is not worth it. Don't spend your money on pit tickets unless you are going front row. The pit has a slight tilt away from the stage. I'm guessing it's to move water into drains. This tilt, along with all the rows being about the same level causes blocked views. We sat about 10 rows back from Adam Sandler and we're block by very large people in front of us. I watched the show from the screens. Row A in any section is too low. See photo. When people stand up in the pit you are blocked. I love standing and dancing at concerts but it is nice too sit down occasionally and still be able to see some action. Seats on isle that are at the top or bottom of a section are super busy with both security and volunteer ushers dealing with people though out concerts. Seats in section 101 are close to a small bathroom area and a bar. The lounge area is reserved for VIP tickets. Section 103 is close to a line of port-a potties that are really used and kept pretty clean. I've had dinner from a few of the food trucks. They tend to change the types of trucks with each concert and can range from poke bowls to fully loaded tater tots. The food is good but lines are long. I've decide to alway go out to an early dinner at one of the areas excellent restaurants. Their are several bars throughout the Amp and you never have to wait long for a drink. Cocktails are good and the bartenders are always friendly. Make sure you bring back your reusable cup for a dollar off your next drink. If you are visiting Saint Augistine and a chance to take in a concert don't forget to come back on a Saturday morning for the Farmers Market. It's the best in the area! read more

Bought some tickets for a couple in Florida. Had to call St Augustine Amphitheater to get some clarification on whether the Pit tickets had chairs or not. The lady who answered the phone was SUPER nice and helpful and told me what I needed to know. I wish I'd gotten her name. And maybe Customer Service is so lacking where I live (Atlanta), that it seemed this lady went above and beyond to be helpful. She was so friendly. Probably one of my favorite outdoor venues to see live music, The Amp is a happening place that can feel like a backyard party due to the vibes of the patrons that come to watch bands and artists from several different music genres. My wife had raved about this place for years with the concerts she had seen at The Amp. We finally, as a couple, had the opportunity to go to a show there when Flogging Molly came to town. We found good online seats that gave us a good view of the stage without wearing our feet. Parking is a little challenging if you cannot reserve spots close to the amphitheater when tickets for a show go on sale. However, there are shuttles that take you to the further away parking lots. This transportation was incredibly convenient, and we didn't feel we waited long for the shuttle to pick us up from the lot and amphitheater front. While drinks are priced how they are for a concert venue, there is a lot of variety from which to choose whether you prefer craft beer, wine, or craft cocktails. I was impressed they had some small batch whiskey options to use in a few cocktails they were offering. We ordered our share of Woodford Juleps while there, which gave us a nice buzz ahead of the headlining act coming to the stage. A great venue to check out for live music. I can't wait to check out our next show; we want to see if it takes place at The Amp. read more

I went to see Natalie merchant here. She of course was fabulous but this is about the venue. It was my first time here and there was a threat of rain so not sure what to expect. The seats are all at the same level close to the stage but then start sloping upwards so great views. There is a roof like structure to keep people dry that was not tested that night. I noticed a lot of people applying bug spray but the steady breeze keep us mosquito freeapparently is an issue when there s no wind. The vendors were disappointing. Of the 14 or more food trucks and tents, 14 were for alcohol and only one was for food. It was a Philly cheesesteak truck that was weak. The venue apparently did not vette the vendor because they took 45 minutes to prepare a sandwich. So tons of people were still standing and waiting for food when the concert started. The sound was excellent. The views were unobstructed. It's easy to get in and out. We parked remotely and it was just a short wait for the shuttle. I had the pleasure of seeing Earth Wind and Fire perform at the St Augustine Amphitheatre. This was my first time in the amphitheatre and I was impressed. Lines were long for entry, but they got us through quickly. They checked our bags and we walked through a metal detector. I like the added security. There was a nice open courtyard with a bar just inside the entry gate. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks. We got our seats and sat back and enjoyed a marvelous show. I liked the setup of the amphitheatre because no matter where you are you have a good view of the stage. Unless your friend picks you the middle in the top section. Please note, yourview will be obstructed by a pole and video cameras. But my location did not take away from my experience. I could still hear the band just fine and see them on either side of the pole. The bathrooms were clean and the service was friendly. I can't wait for my next concert at the St Augustine Amphitheatre! read more

I really enjoy this venue - especially in the Fall. It's small and intimate but has a capacity of about 4000 to still carry that true concert feel. Parking is limited on the property and needs to be purchased in advance. The Elks lodge immediately next door has spots for the same price and it is first come first served. There are also a couple of other locations that run a shuttle or school bus. I haven't sat in the 300 section but I would imagine it would be fine for acoustics. The only issue with that section is it is not under the cover. This could obviously prove to be an issue in the summer for heat and rain. Lots of volunteers with smiling faces make for a well run venue. Concessions are spaced out enough to not really have long lines - none that I experienced anyway. If there is an act that you like coming to The Amp, I highly recommend attending. read more
