Sub Shop is for sure a way better option than subway. It's much cleaner and tastes very fresh and tasty. I have seen them run to QFC next door when they run out of ingredients which is great because the food isn't frozen and stored away in containers. The only complain I have is that sometimes when you ask them to warm up your sandwich they forget to and by the time you notice, you're almost home and don't want to turn around. read more

Unimpressive sandwiches. The bread they use is very thick, almost identical to packaged rolls you can buy at any grocery store. Quality of meat and cheese is good but sliced a little thick... kind of ends up feeling like you are biting into a block since it is all laid flat on the sandwich. Overall I would describe the food here as bland. The wait can be very long (20+ minutes), which is somewhat expected at a sub shop. I'll continue to come here every once in awhile but only out of sheer convenience (or rather, my own laziness). read more

I ordered a French Dip (6 inch) without onions. I got one tiny slice of see through (thinnest sliced I've ever seen) roast beef and a half piece of provolone cheese (about the size of my thumb) that didn't cover even half a slice of bread that was maybe 4 inches long, maybe. It was literally a bread sandwich with French dip liquid (beef broth) that was barely tinted water. I could not believe someone made that sandwich, wrapped it up in paper, put it in a bag that thought on any level it was OK. And on top of everything, it took nearly 16 minutes when I was the only one in there. If you are in the mood for bread, that is all air and no substance, with hot Grey water.. this is the place for you. Lol, I am known for eating like a Bird, and not finishing normally a half a sandwich.. I was starving after this bread meal. How do you not fill up on bread? Because it was half the size of what a child eats.. seriously wasted my money. I knew something was up.. when I was handed the bag it actually felt almost empty, like there was no dipping juice. But in reality that's all there was, nearly clear water. I told a friend about it and she said that this sub shop has never been a favorite because of those reasons.. I feel ripped off, like someone reached in my purse and grabbed my cash.. You should be ashamed of yourself. read more

Definitely my new favorite local sub shop. We stopped in here one day after the Sub Shop #9 on California closed early, and we were really craving a good sub for an easy dinner. We ended up ordering a turkey and ham combo, as well as a turkey, ham, and beef combo. The service was decent, and despite not being first in line, we got our subs pretty quickly. Both were fantastic! They didn't skimp on the ingredients at all. There was plenty of meat and cheese, and they were very generous with the veggie toppings. The bread was simply delicious, too. It was so soft and fresh tasting. For what you get, the prices are quite reasonable. We will be stopping in again soon! read more

A far better alternative to Subway!! I used to be a regular at Subway for my veggie delite sub, until recently when they started being really skimpy on the veggies (that is all the sub is people!). I'm vegetarian but pretty boring when it comes to what I like, so I always get the same vegetarian sandwich on wheat. Nonetheless, I really like it. In my case, the vegetarian comes with avocado/guacamole as part of the sandwich instead of paying extra, whereas most places make you pay extra even if you're paying the same amount as other meat or whatever sandwiches. Just a small thing that's nice, I guess. I can't say how the other sandwiches are, but the staff is nice, the bread is good and the prices are decent IMO. My only "problem" with place is that I wish they had the calories for at least the base of each sandwich on their website or something. read more

This was a pleasant experience and the subs were delicious. Soft rolls and a healthy serving of meat with "the works". I've been coming to this sub shop for YEARS! The sandwiches here are great and the bread is one of the best I've tasted, although lately the employees have been really skimming me out! I always get the vegetarian one and it was always full compared to their meat subs but the only thing I get mostly now is a whole overload of guac........I'm sooooooooo disappointed, I've tried to be a good customer and be patient but it's just not the same! First off the subs are amazing. And honesty this place could have raised their prices by at 10%. But darn it ....The last 8-10 times I've came here it's always young high school kids who don't give a shhhh. The consistently has changed over the last year or so. Thanks to Yelp! for pointing me to this restaurant. This restaurant is visible from inside the DMV office - it's that close. The host at the counter asked us a good number of questions (Do you want it toasted, What kind of bread would you prefer etc.). We mentioned our food restrictions and he was very understanding. There was only one vegetarian option, but a couple of other sandwiches could be made vegetarian as well. They have an excellent choice of vegetables and guacamole comes with the vegetarian sandwich (without any extra charge). None of this is the impressive part. The actual impressive part is the taste. The sandwich just melted in our mouths. I could have had 3 of those. The right combination of oil, sauces, melted cheese and guacamole. One of these days, I might just go there all the way from NE Seattle for just that sandwich. Mind you, a foot long sandwich and a jumbo soda cost us just 9 bucks. So, the prices are comparable with chains like Subway, but the taste - several times better. They also offer discounts for local high school students. Literally made a yelp account for this place, I've gone here a couple of times and they should change their slogan; Fresh??? i don't think so, I've seen my Destroyer and Mess come from the refrigerator multiple times pre-cut, they don't even bother to cut their own meat. Not to mention that the employees complain when you order a destroyer whether its morning or night. Some times the music is also inappropriate, is Migos an appropriate band? A month ago I showed up to order a bowl of Ivar's chowder but arrived before they were open and to my surprise I saw the chowder coming from a bag its honesty ridiculously that they would even promote their food as "fresh" when it either comes from the fridge or a bag. Great job of hiring! Whomever is charge of hiring staff is doing a great job. Every time we go in, the staff is super friendly and efficient. Staff are working together to get things done and orders come out quickly. The food is good and very predictable and consistent, which is appreciated. Not an East Coast sub. Don't expect to be reminded of an East Coast Deli here. I pine for a sub shop in the 206 that leaves me satisfied. Pretty bland meats, cheeses and bread. For six bucks a six inch sub and soda just doesn't cut it. It was very fast and the shop didn't smell like Subway. (a true positive) The joint reminded me of Mr. Subb. I live and work right around the corner, so First off I'd like to say that I go there almost every day. [especially on DOUBLE STAMP TUESDAY!!] I've been going for over 2 years now and might i say, the place has gotten much cleaner and friendlier since management has changed. I'm a picky person, and every time i go there the girls always have my order remembered. The staff is always so friendly and quick. I'm never waiting more then 3 minutes ever time i go. I really like their sandwiches. I love the stamps, love the amount of options and toppings, and love the flavor. They are frequently slow. They tend to always be surprised by being busy at lunchtime on the weekends, and never seem to schedule enough people for that, but the prices and flavor make it all worthwhile.
