The parking here is super easy. The food portions were extremely large. We ordered the Greek fries, gyro plate, gyro salad, and baba ganoush. The fries were cooked to perfection with feta and was the all star. The gyro plate was good flavor with the rice. The gyro salad had a lot of sauce on it. I may ask for it on the side. This place was super popular and busy when we went. They have a decent sized menu, I ordered a standard beef/lamb gyro and baklava. Customer service was great, the man at the cashier was very cheery and friendly with everyone in line. Once we ordered and got our number we scrambled to claim a table. The wait time wasn't long. My friends got a Greek fries, falafel, and gyro plate to share. All the food was exceptionally delicious and as expected. The falafel was a nice surprise since it wasn't dry and had a great dipping sauce. I would only advise against the baklava because I wish it had more nuts, it tasted more like honey and dough. Haven't tried a gyro in many years decided to try again. I will say the meal came out super fast. The bathroom has a bidet, which is the first time I've ever seen that in a restaurant. Wow the food at this place blew me away! I've been meaning to check this place out and after an appointment in West Seattle, I stopped by to order takeout. I ordered the gyro plate and the greek fries. They had a tv playing a world cup game so that helped pass the time pretty quickly - maybe just under a ten minute wait. The guys working behind the counter were very kind! Excellent customer service. The food was incredible. The smell on the drive home was irresistible. The flavors are amazing. And the food is very garlicky which I love. The Greek fries which are covered in spices and feta and white sauce was delicious. And the fries were cooked perfect. Like a nice crunch and crisp on the outside, but fluffy inside. I loved these fries. The gyro on the gyro plate was soooo good. Tender pieces of yummy meat. The rice underneath was good and with the white sauce, every spoonful I ate was so good. The plate also came with this cucumber and tomato salad which was refreshing. And there was also a piece of pita bread and a dip (wasn't hummus but maybe a white colored dip (maybe tzatziki??). It was so much food! Friendly people, delicious, convenient and healthy food! Sad when they run out of their baklava which is apparently from Turkey. Quality is about 90%. So 9 out of 10 times it's great. Then you get something that's not so great because you know their food too well. We have this place on our food rotation list ever since they took over the Baskin Robbin's. They do drop off the list whenever we hit a bad one but make the list again after some hiatus. read more

I tried Gyro Heroes last weekend and I'm happy to report that my experience matches their great Yelp rating! They are open during COVID-19 for take-out. I am really excited about this place because there are so few Greek places in West Seattle. Also, it is fast-food, so you can place your order when you arrive and the food doesn't take very long to prepare. I chose the Chicken Shawarma Plate which is meat (lamb & beef or chicken) marinated with spices with tomato and onion over basmati rice. It is served with warm pita bread, hummus, and Greek salad, and topped with tahini sauce. I loved my dish because it tasted great and you got a little bit of everything. It was a lot of food and definitely enough to have leftovers. My husband got a Gyro sandwich and a Greek salad, but clearly the plates are the superior option! We also sprung for Baklava (layered filo dough with nuts and honey) for dessert. I thought it was convenient because you get two pieces so it is easy to share (although I ended up eating both pieces :-). The employee who helped us was super nice and friendly. The stars (or my stomach) aligned to make this visit happen. I pulled into one of the parking spots in the lot they share with Starbucks and entered the clean, plain shop. The menu choices were above on a board, service is at the counter. I decided to check out a mixed veggie sandwich, which came with falafel, cauliflower, hummus, tomato, lettuce and cucumber. I really liked that the sandwich included cauliflower, something you don't see in a lot of gyro shops, but you do see in middle eastern cuisine. Their fries looked amazing, but I skipped them post-Thanksgiving indulgence. For $12, this was a fast, healthy, tasty little meal! Request some "hot sauce" to spice up your sandwich. Covid Takeout Review: was looking for local mediterranean places and Gyro Heroes showed up as very well rated and so I had to try it out.. We ordered the lamb and beef place and also the chicken kebab plate along with the mandatory purchase of greek fries! Everything was delicious but the greek fries - out of the world and the best I have ever eaten anywhere.. the meat in our plates was nice and juicy seasoned very well so it all tasted so good.. The next time I am here I will definitely try their sandwich.. Staff is very polite and friendly and will customize the spice levels to suit your taste palette.. Just a suggestion - many restaurants offer punch cards to customers which will help keep calling customers back to your restaurant and help build a loyal base (considering your food is so good I dont see why people will not return for more).. there is ample parking right outside the restaurant.. highly recommend if in the area.. BOMB FOOD!! We got the gyro plates ($12.99) to-go, and they were sooooo good. Lamb and beef gyro over rice with vegetables, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. The sauce is amazingg and so is the meat. Service was fast and friendly as well. Location is in a small plaza close to Alki Beach, right next to Safeway. Parking lot is pretty small and shared with other businesses in the plaza, but it wasn't very busy when we went. Found a very small piece of hair in my food by the time I was almost done, and then I think I kind of lost my appetite hahaha. Had their food for the 1st time in 2019 on our first trip to Seattle...we have visited Seattle twice since then...and each time we make it a point that Gyros Heroes is one of our very first stops!! The staff is very friendly & helpful. The food is always spot on!! Our favorites so far are the garlic fries, gyro meat, and falafel. But seriously...it's ALL delicious!! There is limited indoor seating, and so far we have ordered at the counter and also phone ordered (during the height of Covid-19). Each time the process was smooth and we received our order promptly.
