Still the best and most reasonably priced shawarma spot in first hill! Never disappoints

Gyro plate, grape leaves, falafel and Dubai chocolate were all amazing! We stopped in here for a work lunch, and we're not disappointed. The restaurant is small yet clean. Staff is friendly and efficient, the food was great! We'll be back !!

Really loved this place! We went here a couple weeks ago and got a big portion mix of chicken / lamb plates with fries, all of which were absolutely delicious. We ordered and got the food relatively quickly (I'd say within 5-10 minutes) which was nice. Staff were friendly as well. One of the better shawarmas I've had in Seattle. I'd come here again for sure!

Service was great. The food was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Definitely a little hole in the wall place that should not be missed. Right around the corner from the Virginia emergency room hospital.

The falafel sandwich was really good! It was super fresh and didn't taste like anything had been sitting around or frozen. I also had the fries which were tasty too. They are a little more on the thick cut side which was a fun change. The service was really speedy and the guy that helped me was kind and helpful. He packaged it well for to go and I was able to eat it and keep it together easily with the wrapping. The store wasn't super busy when I came in but it was clean and had plenty of seating. It looks like someone busted their door so there's a board on the front but they are open if the sign is on! Definitely would go back for more.

I failed to take photos, but 12 of us went here for my daughter's birthday last Friday night. The staff were very accommodating and nice! I got the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, which was fabulous, as well as a side of Falafel and a friend brought a cake and the staff helped us with paper plates, and forks. Such a cute little place and yummy food! No wonder my daughter loves it there. FREE PALESTINE!

Absolutely blown away! Hands down the best falafel I've ever had--crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and soft on the inside. We randomly stopped in and I'm so glad we did. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. This place is a hidden gem and exactly what the area needed. Can't wait to come back and try more!

I ordered the gyro plate and it was delicious! The price was not bad at all. It came out to $18 including tax. Very clean inside and excellent service.

The host asked us to wait outside and said she would come get us when our table was ready. A family who was already waiting outside was called in shortly after, and we continued waiting. We saw several parties leave and many people come in and get seated right away, so we assumed they had reservations. After waiting about 25 minutes, we went back inside to check on our table. The host told us that we "didn't leave a phone number," even though we were never asked for one and were told to wait outside until she comes get us. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she complimented my shirt mid-conversation, which felt like she was trying to brush it off. The entire time we were outside, we were the only people waiting, and we even saw her setting up the outside seating as the restaurant got busier. She never once checked in with us or said anything. The food was good, and our service once we were seated was great. Unfortunately, our first interaction with the host left a bad first impression and took away from the overall experience. That's why we're taking off two stars.

As we looked at the menu, we thought that the food choices were interesting and that it wasn't a typical american brunch offering. Upon our arrival the host was very accommodating as we wanted to bring in balloons and cake. Highly recommend the three dip (current seasons is beet and it's my fav) with the flat bread. The flat bread comes out steaming. Trumpet mushroom is Smokey and juicy. I arrived 20 minutes before opening and was first in line. One friend joined me 10 minutes later. At 5pm it was just the two of us, so I asked for a table for 4 and explained that I'd happily order food and drinks for everyone immediately, even though the rest of the group was still fighting the weekday traffic. The hostess refused, so we stepped aside. 2 minutes later our 3rd friend arrived. I asked the group behind us if they minded us getting back in line. They laughed and said it was no problem because they had just had their 3rd person arrive as well. When I got back in line, the hostess deliberately skipped over me and called the next group instead. After seating them, I stopped her and asked for a table for 3. She asked if it would "really" be just 3. At that point I honestly didn't know. Our 4th friend was driving from Everett and had texted that she was stuck in standstill traffic. I said yes, seat the 3 of us. The hostess told us to wait while she seated yet another group, taking the last indoor table. We were then placed outside on a hot day. Despite how the evening started, I did exactly what I'd said I would. We ordered dinner for the entire group, including 2 bottles of wine to avoid inconveniencing them with making drinks. Then, incredibly, the hostess came back to our table and removed the 4th chair to make absolutely sure our last friend couldn't join us if she arrived. It felt petty, unnecessary, and frankly embarrassing. What should have been a joyful reunion became a stressful experience because of one person's rigid and unwelcoming attitude. The food was equally inconsistent. The labneh was extremely sour and came with cold, slightly stale pita. The squid & lamb were overly salty. The kohlrabi with peaches was so aggressively smoky that we left almost the entire dish untouched. The mushrooms were fine. The grilled pork was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The cod was just okay, and the desserts were average. We spent ~$500 for the meal. People don't spend this kind of money just for the food. The price reflects the entire experience, and that's where this restaurant failed. The service felt cold, impersonal, and overly focused on rules instead of hospitality. Rather than making guests feel welcome, the hostess made us feel like a problem she had to manage. I've had warmer, friendlier service at fast food restaurants. I won't be returning, and I took the time to write this review because no meal, especially one marking such a meaningful reunion, should be overshadowed by such an unnecessarily unpleasant welcome.

The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!

I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. My partner got the falafel saj wrap which was overall ddcent, but he also found the saj bread quite soggy, yet the falafels were on the dry side.
