This is a decent place to stop for a quick lunch or takeout while in Seattle. It's not mind blowing, but the gyro was nicely done with good flavors and ratios of items. Very large portions on everything so you'll have plenty of food no matter what you order. My biggest complaint is the hummus. It tasted like Sabra hummus you buy from any grocery store. I highly doubt it was homemade, which is a big disappointment if you're advertising yourself as a Mediterranean restaurant. I could be wrong of course, but it was indistinguishable from mid tier store bought Sabra hummus. The place seemed decently clean but I never saw employees wiping down tables when I was in there even though there were a decent amount of people in and out. Overall, it's okay. If you want a gyro, go for that and avoid spending your money on the hummus. The falafel on the veggie place was also solid.

Pulled up for a late dinner on a Thursday night around 8:30 PM and there were consistent orders while we were there, but nothing that built up into a line. There's about 20 seats in the restaurant, but only four 4-tops if you're coming with a group. Vibes are casual where you order at the register and numbers get called. Overall, the food not bad, but nothing special for a shawarma spot. If you're not local to the neighborhood, I probably wouldn't travel out of my way for it. Crispy Shawarma (3.5/5): Chicken was just a tad overcooked, but the crispiness on the outside was nice, but the bread felt like pretty standard flatbread. Garlic sauce added some good tang and I did like the pomegranate molasses drizzle for a bit of sweetness. Knafah (1/5): This one was a big whiff for me. The kataifi crispy enough to stand up to the copious amount of sugar syrup on it. Not sure what flavoring was in the sugar syrup either, it was just way too floral and felt almost artificial. I love this dessert, but not this version of it. Greek Fries (4/5): A ton of feta cheese and garlic sauce over crispy, lightly battered fries. Not mind blowing, but a standard item done well.

Finally tried the viral tiktok chicken crispy shawarma and it did not disappoint. The garlic sauce it comes with is delicious and the pomegranate molasses on top was fire. The portions are pretty big too. Highly recommend getting the combo and upgrade to greek fries!

Food was great, service was awesome- super quick and the guys there were friendly. Got both chicken and lamb/beef, definitely go with the lamb/beef shawarma. I'll definitely be back!

These days, for some reason, I have been really into Mediterranean food. Lately, I've been visiting many Mediterranean restaurants in the Seattle area to find the best one. Lately, I was recommended to try out Shawarma Shack in Capitol Hill. It is located right across from Seattle Central College, right in the heart of the Capitol Hill area. For those familiar with the neighborhood, parking can be a bit challenging. However, with a little patience, you can usually find a spot in a nearby garage or on the street after driving around a few blocks. Now, let's get into the most important part. The place looks pretty new and well-managed. There are plenty of tables, and the spacing between them is generous enough for my friends and me to enjoy our conversations while we eat. In terms of the menu, there are a lot of options including gyro wraps, shawarma wraps, platters, salads, and a variety of vegetarian dishes. For most menu items, you can choose a protein such as beef, lamb, or chicken. Offering vegetarian options is a big plus. To make the most out of our trip to Capitol Hill, we ordered the #1 Chicken Shawarma Combo and the #2 Beef and Lamb Shawarma Combo. Each combo is priced at $15.95 before sales tax and tip, and it comes with crispy French fries, sauce, pickles, and a canned drink. Our food was made fresh in the kitchen after we ordered, and it was brought to our table by the staff. Both staff members were very friendly and professional. As you can see in the photos I attached, the combo items are served in boxes so it makes easy to take food to go or save leftovers. The portion size was generous, and each wrap was cut in half, so my friend and I were able to share both the chicken and the beef and lamb wraps. When it comes to taste, the food was excellent. I am not exaggerating here... this is the best shawarma I've ever had. While I haven't had a lot of Mediterranean food, this is easily my favorite so far. Since we were both fully satisfied with our wraps, we decided to end our meal with dessert here. We ordered one baklava and one choclava. Wow! Do not skip dessert here!! It was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Shawarma Shack to anyone looking for flavorful shawarma and authentic desserts. I will definitely be back anytime soon to try their gyros.

The falafel sandwich was really good and so were the fries. They got a little soggy and messy on the trip back home but a little microwave time fixed that. The portions are very generous here. I did take out and my order was ready in like 10 minutes or less so very efficient service. It's got a small dine in area that's a little lifeless, but clean and functional if you want to eat in. Will be back!

10/10 Everything about this meal was 10/10 Quick efficient service, fresh ingredients and tasty food. I ordered the #1 Combo which includes chicken shawarma, fries, garlic sauce, pickles and a canned drink. I do wish they had straws to put in the canned drinks just because I am weird about drinking straight from the can (germs) but that's ok! The chicken combo was delicious, the fries are the best. The chicken shawarma was flavorful and full of fresh veggies, loved the sauce. The fries were so crispy and freshly made. The garlic sauce to dip was also next level. The packaging for to go is an extra bonus to this place, I love an easy grab and go. You will not regret coming here! I will for sure be returning this was a 10/10 without question.

I have been searching for a really good Shawarma spot and I think I found it. Shawarma shack has really tender and juicy meats that are in the Shawarma. I had the beef lamb crispy Shawarma and my partner had the chicken crispy Shawarma. Both of us were very happy with the meats that we got. I really wanted to try the knafeh but they ran out. I was a bit hesitant after seeing mixed reviews that her wrap was actually a tortilla. When I was there, it was definitely was not a tortilla. I wonder if it was maybe a stock issue that they had. The order was super consistent and we even got some fries on the side. For being in Seattle, this place is priced well. The service took about 15 to 20 minutes to get the order out and it was a slower lunch day at about 1 PM. The vibes here are kind of like a fast food where it is to go. Or you take and find your own seat at a table. This is a place where I would come back to.

Went for the viral TikTok crispy shawarma, but it wasn't crispy, so that was a letdown. The chicken was seasoned well and paired perfectly with the garlic toum! The outside of the shawarma had a slight drizzle of pomegranate molasses, adding a sweet, tangy flavor! Overall, it was good, maybe don't advertise it as "crispy". Greek fries were delicious, highly recommend!

Tried the viral TikTok shawarma wrap and the flavor is there -- bold, fresh, and really satisfying. Loved the taste and spice combo, though I'd make it a tad crispier next time for extra texture. Still one of the best Mediterranean wraps I've had in Seattle

I received a free combo meal for a customer appreciation day, which was really sweet! They were very nice and we had a great chat. It's a new place so I definitely want to see them thrive. Unfortunately, I received the wrong food and didn't realize it until I made it home to Fremont, so I didn't go all the way back to Cap Hill to try to fix it. I ordered a falafel wrap combo and got chicken. I don't eat chicken but I gave it to my partner and he said it was good. I was disappointed but it was free so oh well! The fries were good and I was a big fan of the garlic sauce. I also got baklava which was pretty good. I want to go back and try the falafel so I can make this a 5 star review. Definitely worth a try! The mural on the wall was really cool too.

Tried this spot in their opening week to grab food for a picnic, the people working were really nice and fast. They even accidentally upgraded one of my friends order to a combo. Overall the food was good, I'd go back. I liked the choclava a lot, I ate it after my lunch and it was very warm and gooey after being the sun.

Service was fast and helpful as a new customer. The shawarma plate was delicious. Greek fries were good but could have been more crispy.

Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.

We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.
