It took about 5 min for my food to come out. I opted to take the food to go because it was a beautiful day, but the restaurant itself had plenty of seating and a more cafeteria atmosphere which is great for a quick bite. The gyro was great! On Broadway so parking is as terrible as it gets! Right next to anapurnina on the corner. Menu is extensive, food is plentiful, flavor is on point! Order lamb shawarma wrap and Greek fries. Looking for a late night bite in Cap Hill and Al Bacha came up on our Yelp search for places open late + delivery nearby. This spot was actually so close that we ended picking up our order (Okay, I stayed in while my boyfriend went to pick it up). We had actually already ate earlier in the night so we split the Al bacha Deluxe Plate with lamb & chicken, rice, salad, hummus garlic sauce & pitta bread for a little late night second dinner. This place is my late-night favorite in Capital Hill (especially since everything else closes very early). The Greek Fries are absolutely amazing and are a perfect drunk food or even late-night food. Make sure you ask for extra red and white sauce and lather it on top. The sauce they make perfectly blends with the crispy fries and adds an extra layer of flavor. The Falafel sandwich + hummus (Falafel Gyro pretty much) was another dish that was my favorite. The sandwich is perfectly spiced and the falafel is extremely crispy. I ordered the chicken gyro sandwich combo (fries and drink). I think I just found my favorite Gyro place in Seattle. This was my first time here. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. As some of you know I don't cook much. I figure that's why restaurants were made. The gyro was packed with perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken, very fresh cilantro, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The sauce was very flavorful. The fries were piping hot and cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I'd go back for the fries alone! Overall a great lunch at a reasonablenable price. $21 with tax and tip. I go up to Capitol Hill every few days and will definitely be frequenting Al Bacha again. read more

Last Sunday, I stopped by this place and decided to have lunch there. Don't be fooled by the front of the building; the staff was amiable, and the food was flavorful with generous portions. It was so enjoyable that I didn't even think about taking pictures; I just savored every bite of my "Mixte Veggie" dish (cauliflower, falafel, cucumber, onion, tomatoes, hummus, and tahini). We were walking around Capitol Hill, then I realized hunger had suddenly hit me, hard. I frantically power walked through the blocks looking for something not too pricy, and filling. Week 16/52 in my endeavor to try a new (to me) local spot per week! After going to a drag show at Julia's down the street... I needed something to soak up the brunch-hour alcohol. Al Bacha was close and sounded good, so in we went. It was around 3 or so when we got there and it was deserted. The staff was super friendly and excited to see us. I went with the Gyro Lamb & Beef Plate and was so happy with how quick the food was ready (I did dine-in). Man..... DROOL. I didn't know where to start. This meal was absolute perfection. The lamb & beef were mouthwateringly good, tender, and full of flavor. Their hummus is also amazing! Everything about the plate was SO GOOD. On top of the food coming out quick and being delicious, the staff here is so kind. I was on Capitol Hill with a phone at 1% with an Uber half an hour out... So, the panic level was high. I asked if they had a charger I could borrow and they were so nice - they sanitized the cord and block for me and let me use it while I was eating in the restaurant without even a blink. Walking by Al Bacha doesn't look like much, but this place always has people walking in and out with their orders. They do have decent dine-in seating but people usually just go here for to go orders. I usually order the Arabic chicken shawarma wrap or bowl. The chicken is cooked and seasoned perfectly! I absolutely love the vegetables and other fillings in the wrap. It also comes with a garlic dipping sauce which elevates the wrap so much. The bowl has most of the same ingredients as the wrap but has rice on the side. The bowl is pretty big for me so I usually portion it out for 2 days or share it. I've also gotten their garlic fries and those are to die for! The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the garlic sauce and feta cheese on top is one of my favorite combos! I've gotten both sizes but the smaller size is still way too large for me so i usually share that as well! The pricing for the quality and quantity of food is amazing! The employees are super friendly and funny! And the ambiance of the restaurant feels very rustic and in style with most Mediterranean restaurants I've been too. My friends and I were looking for a quick dinner before a night out and they mentioned Al Bacha because they live close by and have been a couple times. They like coming here so we decided to stop by. I ordered the gyro lamb & beef (#10 - $7.49) which I thought was okay. I liked the meat that seemed like it was marinated in cumin or turmeric and I liked the sauce as well. It wasn't super big or filling and if you're looking for more filling food I would suggest one of the plates. My friends said that the Greek fries are just okay and there are a couple places they like more. I think they would also be better if they had some sort of loaded fries that included some meat along with the sauces and cheese. I've had better gyros in Seattle but this place is good for a quick meal. It's interesting that they sell ice cream as well! read more
