Was recommended this place by a friend and glad I tried it! I got a take out order and it was ready when I picked it up. The portion sizes were very generous and I had leftovers in the morning. I'm glad they added a lot of garlic sauce. The customer service was great too! Great place to eat in Caphill if you're crashing mediterranean!

I stopped by at 7 pm on a Thursday and there were quite a few people waiting for their food but within a few min I was able to order. I just got a chicken gyro. It took about 5 min for my food to come out. I opted to take the food to go because it was a beautiful day, but the restaurant itself had plenty of seating and a more cafeteria atmosphere which is great for a quick bite. The gyro was great! Meat was well cooked, juicy and flavorful, and overall great. There was also a generous portion of veggies and hummus on it, and the pita was soft and good. And the price itself was definitely Better than many other places around Seattle! I will be back, especially to try the tacos

I literally come here once a week. My 3 favorite things to order are the chicken kebab plate, beef & lamb gyro, and Greek fries. Everything is always so fresh, hot, and flavorful. Clean restaurant. Open late. Never had an issue. Customer service is great too. Also, I love when they play Bachata & Reggaeton

Great spot for a casual meal; I'm a big Mediterranean fan! The prices are super good and they have a great combo deal where you can get a shawarma sandwich, fries, and drink for $15. I ducked in to get out of a sudden downpour and would happily go back

My bf and I visited this place twice in 1 week! It is that good! I got the gyro combo which comes with fries (I substituted for Greek fries for an extra $2.99) and a can of soda. My bf got one of the dinner plates. The meat is flavorful and they give you a lot of meat. The white sauce is tasty as well. The total for both meals was $35-40 range so it wasn't bad. Definitely one of our go to spots now.

Cheap, plenty of options, flexible hours and the food is pretty good? What a great place to live close to for takeout and late-night eats. The greek salad was fresh, the pita toasty, the rice spiced, the gyro meat savory, and the hummus didn't taste like it was scooped from a container. Bonus points to the fresh olive oil drizzled over the hummus.

A causal spot for lunch! The chicken gyro was way better than expected. It came with the right levels of sauce and veggie to balance things out, on soft pita. We also ordered the lamb and beef gyro plate. I actually thought the lamb and beef gyro could've been more flavorful. You kinda had to think hard to taste the flavor of it, lol. But overall I liked the meal and thought it was good value. The staff was nice and it's clean inside. As far as parking goes, it's street parking but since you're on the north end of cap hill it's not so bad.

Yo portions go hard at this place esp for the price. Food itself was cooked well but a bit under-seasoned imo. The gyro is def helping the bulk would come back if i need 2 meals. Cute spot and parking is meh

Had an early lunch at Al Bacha on Broadway in Seattle today. The Pride festivities were going on downtown so I had Broadway pretty much to myself. I ordered the chicken gyro sandwich combo (fries and drink). I think I just found my favorite Gyro place in Seattle. This was my first time here. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. As some of you know I don't cook much. I figure that's why restaurants were made. The gyro was packed with perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken, very fresh cilantro, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The sauce was very flavorful. The fries were piping hot and cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I'd go back for the fries alone! Overall a great lunch at a reasonablenable price. $21 with tax and tip. I go up to Capitol Hill every few days and will definitely be frequenting Al Bacha again.

The location and hours of this place are what makes this place such an awesome restaurant. We came by at 11pm on a weekday in a group of around 20 and were able to order and seat ourselves and have a good time. Their menu is also very consistent with their gyro/plate options and is also expanding into Mexican food with their tacos and burritos. The portions are large and the food is good!

Consistently the nicest people working there. Not sure if the serving sizes got smaller or if it just looks smaller in the plate vs. takeout

We were walking around Capitol Hill, then I realized hunger had suddenly hit me, hard. I frantically power walked through the blocks looking for something not too pricy, and filling. Oh hey, a window with photos of gyros and slabs of meat on rice & salad, with decent prices popped out at me at a corner across the street from a farmer's market (this was on Sunday.) Yes! We walked inside and it was a nice big open space. Nothing fancy, but I wasn't looking for that. It was nice & clean. The cashier greeted us & was friendly & patient. I got the lamb & beef plate while my husband got the gyro. The plate comes with meat, rice, salad, hummus, sauce, & a hot pita. This was all delicious. The salad was fresh! Although the meat wasn't my favorite in Seattle, it was definitely flavorful & plentiful. The hummus was a bit bland. I later doused my plate in their hot sauce because it was addicting & went so well with everything. The gyro was decent but it was covered in veggies & fell apart. It could've used a bit more meat & way more sauce. So, this seems like a good go-to lamb/beef plate for people who live in the area that don't care about ambiance. Check it out!

This is a lively place, always filled with a lot of upscale looking customers. So the atmosphere is quite loud, but fun in a buzzing way. We were seated quickly, as we had reservations. Our server Charlie, was engaging, friendly and on top of things. We ordered the shared dips---olive tapenade, eggplant, hummus, tatziki with some warm pita triangles. They're all good and a fun way to start the dinner. We each had kebabs---lamb, chicken and mushroom. All good, moist and tender all poured with a jig of ouzo on a hot skillet. The onions in the bottom get browned and crusty, so good to eat. One had a lamb burger which looked juicy and served with delicious mound of fries sprinkled with rosemary. Food here has always been awesome. Skipped dessert as we had homemade cookies to eat at our next stop.

However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.
