Still the best and most reasonably priced shawarma spot in first hill! Never disappoints

Gyro plate, grape leaves, falafel and Dubai chocolate were all amazing! We stopped in here for a work lunch, and we're not disappointed. The restaurant is small yet clean. Staff is friendly and efficient, the food was great! We'll be back !!

Really loved this place! We went here a couple weeks ago and got a big portion mix of chicken / lamb plates with fries, all of which were absolutely delicious. We ordered and got the food relatively quickly (I'd say within 5-10 minutes) which was nice. Staff were friendly as well. One of the better shawarmas I've had in Seattle. I'd come here again for sure!

Service was great. The food was amazing. Highly recommend this place. Definitely a little hole in the wall place that should not be missed. Right around the corner from the Virginia emergency room hospital.

The falafel sandwich was really good! It was super fresh and didn't taste like anything had been sitting around or frozen. I also had the fries which were tasty too. They are a little more on the thick cut side which was a fun change. The service was really speedy and the guy that helped me was kind and helpful. He packaged it well for to go and I was able to eat it and keep it together easily with the wrapping. The store wasn't super busy when I came in but it was clean and had plenty of seating. It looks like someone busted their door so there's a board on the front but they are open if the sign is on! Definitely would go back for more.

I failed to take photos, but 12 of us went here for my daughter's birthday last Friday night. The staff were very accommodating and nice! I got the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, which was fabulous, as well as a side of Falafel and a friend brought a cake and the staff helped us with paper plates, and forks. Such a cute little place and yummy food! No wonder my daughter loves it there. FREE PALESTINE!

Absolutely blown away! Hands down the best falafel I've ever had--crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and soft on the inside. We randomly stopped in and I'm so glad we did. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. This place is a hidden gem and exactly what the area needed. Can't wait to come back and try more!

I ordered the gyro plate and it was delicious! The price was not bad at all. It came out to $18 including tax. Very clean inside and excellent service.

Finally moved back and got to try it. I've had my eyes on the Fast Eddie ever since I heard about this place because it was one of the most recommended sandwiches. The ambiance was alright. Pretty dark imo but maybe because it was just after Christmas and they had their holiday decor up. Also the bar area was closed. I was a bit confused on where to order until I realized there were kiosks by the front counter. It would've been nice if one of the workers actually had said something to me. Anyway, onto the food. I got the Fast Eddie with fries and it was alright. The meat was bit dry. Yes there was the au jus to dip in and it helped quite a bit, but all the flavors just didn't mesh. It was basically an ordinary french dip. The fries were okay, but the jalapeno aioli was great! That made everything better, but not enough to save the sandwich. Not sure if I would come back, but I would definitely try a different sandwich. One that caters more to my taste buds

Located in the Seattle Center Armory, along with many other food vendors, Big Mike's Sandwich Company is serving up huge cheesesteaks, chopped cheese, and other East Coast-style subs. For $25, I picked up the cheesesteak and fries combo. Not a terrible price for the portion. Waited about 10-15 minutes for the sandwich to come out. You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.

We ordered the Meatball Sub and Eggplant Sub with marinara sauce. Both sandwiches were flavorful and satisfying. The meatball sub was hearty and comforting, while the eggplant sub had a rich marinara sauce that worked well with the sandwich. We were especially disappointed that the Cubano was sold out, as it was one of the main reasons we stopped by. The only drawback was the price--at around $20 per sandwich, it felt a bit expensive for what you get, especially considering it was just a 6-inch sub, even though the quality was good. We visited during a FIFA World Cup match, so the line was quite long, but it moved steadily and efficiently. No complaints there. The atmosphere is casual and straightforward, with indoor seating only. Its downtown location near the stadiums makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal before or after an event. Overall, a good sandwich shop with quality food, though the pricing keeps it from being a must-visit. I'd still come back to finally try that Cubano.

They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.
