Ohkay, So I was working 3rd shift this day, Went throu the drive throu got a Carmel Machiatto. These people, over flilled the coffe to where when they handed it to me, and i put the straw in it over flowed onto my work scrubs! not to mention the coffee was burnt!! I mean yeah more for your money but not when its all over you and you hav burnt coffee..... SO.... Taste before you drive off!! I have to take away the stars from my previous review. The past few times I visit the customer service has been HORRIBLE! There was a gentleman working the front counter where he's was more engaged with getting the tea from an off duty employee than helping those of us in line. Now I can admit I do not visit Starbucks often but when I do, I would like to be treated like a regular! This is the drive-thru Starbucks closest to my home and conveniently located near the 60. I always receive friendly warm service here. Last night I pulled into the line 5 minutes after they closed (I didn't realize this at the time) and someone inside noticed me. I've been going to the Starbucks on Val Vista and Baseline for about 6 years now. I'm a realtor, so I've been to more Starbucks across the valley then I can even count, but this one is a little bit different. The crew at my Starbucks go out of their way to remember you! They add that extra personalized touch that makes you feel special. Over time, I learned that there were a few key employees at the heart of the store that really made the difference.Their pride in work and store spirit really gave the rest of the crew something to model. Liam, Megan, and the old store manager Bonnie were some of the originals store superstars, but the new store manager Shailee has recently picked up the torch and is just as influential on the crew's demeanor. I just left this Starbucks crying . I'm pregnant and hungry and these people do not know what they are doing . From the time I ordered tot he time the lady tried to give me the wrong drink it was almost 20 min . It's 3 pm and they are not busy . When I tried to tell the woman at the window that my order was wrong her and the manager gave me attitude . I will never come back . It's a Starbucks. It's not an outstanding one, but it doesn't suck. The baristas smile. I've never had a screwed up order (but then again, I order tall Americanos. Horrible service: as per previous reviewer, I concur, the girls working on the weekend here were really horrible. I think they specifically pick them from the Juvie section. Went here for my morning Joe, always the same Me: "Short doppio machiato" (lingo I learnt at other starbucks. ) Girl at counter (GaC): "Wha, Wha can't hear you" Me: Repeated order GOC: "Wha what can't hear you!!" ,(after taking off her headphones) "Oh!, a machiato... oh yeah..." Me: (thinking)Thank heaven for small miracles On getting my coffee (5 minutes a tad late given I was the second in line) I guess gossiping about their boyfriends was more important. The coffee was filled to the brim with milk. Not looking good!!! Me: Did you put milk in the machiato order? Girl who made the coffee: Yeah!! why? Overall this place makes great drinks and the pastries are always fresh and very good. My issue, the drive thru is extremely slow during the week. Be prepared to wait 15-20 min in drive thru. They need to work on how they will make this drive thru more efficient. May people are heading to work and cannot afford to wait that long so we have to go somewhere else. There has to be a better system in place. read more

Probably the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Just moved down the street so of course the closest one would be my best bet; they have messed up my drink the past 3 times I've went there. When I ask them to fix it or make sure that it's right they get very irritated, I'm spending a minimum $20 a week here and you can't get my drink right??? read more

We happened to be out this way and saw the drive-thru. I had an iced pumpkin spice latte. I don't know what they did but it was super strong and tasted bitter. Being that I was a mile down the road and about to get on the freeway before I tasted it, I didn't go back. I drank as much as I could but it just didn't taste right. And I know my coffee and I especially know my Pumpkin Spice Lattes! I love those darn things!! My daughter had a chocolate chip frap and that was fine....maybe the chocolate covered up the bitter taste....but I will think twice before I go back to this Starbucks. read more

I had a meeting in Mesa, but I was early and had a few hours to kill, so I thought I would swing in and drink some coffee and read for a bit. That did not last long. One of my drinks was a simple cup of coffee, but they didn't have it ready. He said it would be 5 minutes to brew some. No problem, I said. I also ordered an iced drink to sip while I waited for my coffee. I go to sit in the comfortable chairs, which is in a little alcove that also has the speaker. In the rest of the restaurant, the music is at a decent volume, but in this alcove, it borders on rock concert level. (Okay, that's an exaggeration, but it's still far too loud.) I try to focus on my book, but I swear, the longer I sit there, the louder the music gets. 10 minutes go by, I still don't have my drink. I get up to ask at the counter and there is a cup sitting there and the employees are all flitting about dealing with drive through orders. I wave someone down and ask if it is my coffee (they didn't ask my name and nothing is written on the cup). She had to ask 3 employees, but someone finally confirmed it was. Slightly irritating that they just set my coffee there and went about their day without letting me know my order was ready. (Maybe they did and I couldn't hear them over the music? I don't know.) I sit back down and try to read again, but now sitting to my right is a customer speaking at a volume and pitch that is grating. Combine that with the seemingly ever increasing volume of the music and I pretty much couldn't deal anymore. I took my coffee and left. This is definitely not a Starbucks to relax and enjoy yourself in. It's a Starbucks to take your stuff and get out. read more

With a vast majority of Starbucks locations in this world, you pretty much know what you are going to get. What sets one Starbucks apart from another is the staff, and the staff at this location is top notch. Always friendly, always in a good mood, and always there to make sure you get your caffeinated beverage ASAP. Aside from my crack addiction-like need for multiple shots of espresso daily, the friendly faces of these baristas make my morning each and every day. read more

Don't go here unless you have Plenty of time to waste and don't care what drink you get! Took them a good 15 minutes to make my Horchata Creme - Incorrectly! There was 1 woman and her daughter ahead of me when I walked in around 4:15. The woman told me she'd had a bad experience there her first time and wanted to give them another chance. She said she wouldn't be giving them a 3rd try. I'm not as nice - we won't go back after this time (my first)! I had to finally Ask where my beverage was - the employee looked around and "found" it over by the drive thru window. It looked kind of dark to be the Horchata Creme, so I asked. Sure enough - it was the regular Horchata. The gal said she was sorry and that she would remake it. I said "no!" I didn't want to wait Another 15 minutes! Got my money back and Left, never to return! There appeared to be a lot of employees there - 4 behind the counter when I was there. One was just taking orders at the drive thru window. One other was making all the drinks for the store And the drive thru. A third was just ringing the orders and the 4th was wandering around with no apparent duties. SO disorganized! And at least 2 people's orders were wrong and had to be remade while I waited for mine. Crazy! read more

Most of the time the people at this location are fast and polite! However, my order is wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME. I used to work at Starbucks so when I taste my drink I know what a missing.. I usually order either a hot chocolate (which is always missing vanilla or whipped cream at this location) or an single shot iced venti soy chai that never has the shot of espresso in it... this morning I ordered a cold buster tea and it has no lemonade.. I live right next to this location and its convenient because it's a drive thru.. however it's not really worth it because it's always wrong. I'd rather drive to gilbert and baseline to get the correct drink with the same service. read more

You know what you're going to get when you go to a Starbucks. This is a clean location, with a drive thru window, and speedy service. To get to the drive thru you do have to drive around to the back of the building. For the most part I try to avoid Starbucks for local independent coffee shops. In a pinch though you know what they have and can get your caffeine fix. read more

Was skeptical about going here with the extremely long drive thru. I have sat in Starbucks drive thru's for too long before. It was a busy time and I went right through! They were really nice and had my coffee and a sandwich right when I got to the window! I was running late any ways and decided "why not not stop? I'm already late." And ended up not even being late. I have blood sugar issues so I can't have very sweet drinks without getting sick. I ordered my green tea frap with only one pump of sweetener and when I got it, it was super sweet. I understand people make mistakes so I just asked them to remake it with only one pump of sweetener. They took it back and a few minutes later brought me back my drink. I tasted it before I left while the barista watched to see my reaction. She asked "Is it better?". It tasted like they filled my drink with a little more tea and passed back the same drink. I was so furious I was afraid I would lose my temper so I said it was better and drove off. I won't be back to this location. Shame on y'all. This Starbucks is somewhat busy but, at mid morning the rush is over. I wanted to work on my iPad but, tables and service areas were littered or had spills. They needed a quick cleaning. Tables outside were left with litter and dusty. I cleaned my own table. Maybe more frequent cleaning? The latte was ok. read more

One young man in particular has an air about him as if he's too good to be bothered by any questions from customers, as well as his fellow coworkers. Worst Starbucks ever, very dirty. The furniture, the windows and sidewalk out front is disgusting. I complained to corporate and they credited me ten dollars, this is not what I wanted. I expecting them to investigate this location and apparently they haven't, went today hoping for a change but it was still dirty. Drive thru takes far too long and parking is terrible in the morning. If you have the time to wait then the staff is very friendly!

I am so disappointed. I stop here 2-3 times a week and today, they screwed my drink up AGAIN for like the 3rd time in the last couple of months. I had to leave work to go back and have them fix it which is beyond frustrating and super inconvenient. The kicker is they repeated my order back TWICE and repeated it correctly yet it was still not made right. I was in the food/bevarage service industry for 10+ years and rarely did a customer have to return something back to me because I screwed it up. No offense but this is NOT THAT HARD! It drives me crazy when things like this happen often. I understand every now and then but 3 times in the last 7-8 weeks is a little excessive. I just don't think I can come back to this location because if I do and they screw my order up again, I might just lose it lol. read more

I've started going to this location and everyone so far is very nice! The only problem I have is that they seem to almost always be sold out of the pastries I want.. by 8 am! I stopped going to the starbucks on Gilbert and Baseline for this same reason. Seems to be better chances at this one.. but maybe management needs to start making bigger orders?
