Love this location. There is always parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. They've helped me choose drinks before, telling me I can try one and if I don't like it then I can get a different one. They've take returns for merch. Just super friendly. There had been multiple times where the staff have had rudely ignored me when I come to pick up the mobile order, one even laughed at me. I use to be a starbucks fanatic until my thousands of points I was saving up expired and the quality has gone way down not to mention the service. When we walked into this location we were greeted right away and then stood there for a couple of minutes before someone actually took our order. Our drinks were made okay but I ordered my usual turkey and pesto panini I always buy the guacamole with it and it has been one of my favorites until today. There was the tiniest slice of turkey that covered about 2/4's of my sandwich, enough pesto spread to cover half the sandwich and maybe the remnants of 4 tiny pieces of red pepper. I basically got enough toppings for half a sandwich for the same price if not more than it use to be. I understand the individual workers do not make the sandwiches but when I first started getting this sandwich it used to be to be thick with turkey, the entire piece of bread had the pesto spread covering the surface and the roasted red pepper was a big piece or two. I get it prices go up but with that the quality and service should at least stay the same and instead it's gone way, way down. Starbucks built there business on this concept but unfortunately they have lost site of what the customer wants and needs and are now just chasing the almighty dollar. So disappointed! I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this location. This morning, I ordered ahead of time in hopes of a quick transaction. Unfortunately, the barista seemed completely uninterested in helping me when I arrived to the shop and stated I was picking up a mobile order. The lady rudely said to me "if your drink isn't there yet it's probably because it been a busy morning" without even checking if my order had been completed yet. To make matters worse, I decided to wait for my order to be called and waited for about 10 minutes. I then decided to check on the orders that were being pushed out and came to find out my orders had been out since before I even got there! Additionally, I was waiting on one more item to be "prepped" and they never communicated with me that the item was actually sold out for the day after I had been waiting for 15 minutes. As someone who regularly visits Starbucks, I was shocked and disappointed by the effortless service I received. Visited enroute to golf on 9/18. It was a very early day and my wife never knows what to order. Rather than the lackadaisical response Preston engaged. He asked what we like and offered several suggestions. Loved his willingness to help. His energy and enthusiasm were palpable through the speaker. When we got to the window he was just as positive. Just left the store at 1:10 in the afternoon didn't have food can review that service, sucked, the employees had arrogant insolent attitudes, and did not listen when I offered instruction, even when the instruction was repeated numerous times, the drinks did not taste like they tasted at any other Starbucks. and it took at least twice as long as it takes at a significantly busier store. The store itself is dirty, unkempt Dustin bugs, and dirt wedged in corners. Coffee spills all over the floor and the counters and paper on the counters very concerning being that all the other Starbucks I've been to have been clean and tidy and their employees very friendly willing to help make your drink the way you would like it. This is due to the fact that she doesn't eat it always right at first. Due to the line of cars increasing while making my 9 drinks, I was told I am required to come in and get the last 2. Drove around everywhere, and went to the Country Club location. They told me they were sold out, and tells me that Val Vista and Southern has them. I didn't want to drive all the way over here, so I called this location. The female Barista answered the phone, and tells me that this district was not participating. When I told her that it was advertised as being available nationwide, and the Country Club location said this store was making them. She just laughed and acted like she did not care. . I've read the news articles, the youtube rant of one of your employees and food blogs. Your staff just do not want to make them because they are difficult to make, so they are just making excuses. . What irks me is that the person lied about not being available in the mesa district. I was at the Country Club, and Stapley location and they were advertised there.. Why do the employees lie about not being available in the Mesa district? It was advertised that it is available nationwide. All I can say is, for a national chain, it's a poorly run advertisement, poor planning and poorly run store. I absolutely love this location! Their manager is so fun and bright! What a breath of fresh air. Always pleasant to visit this Starbucks!!

The parking is tight here (Starbucks is on the end of a small shopping strip at Val Vista and the 60 freeway), but the drive-through has plenty of room in the back. The folks who work here are always cheerful, even if I'm not at o-dark-thirty in the morning. They're good with recommendations and helpful with using their app. I've never had a bad experience here, but do be careful and watch the traffic in the parking lot. read more

The employees at this location have caused me to change my morning routine permanently- which is not easy to do. I have started frequenting other coffee places (and there are many great ones) and when I'm really wanting a Starbucks, I go out of my way to patronize other stores. I used to buy via mobile order about 3-4 times a week on my way to work...for years! I moved to this side of Gilbert and had to change things up, this became my default store. The employees here are so rude and hostile (with a few kind exceptions, sorry!) that I began to DREAD walking in there to pick up my mobile order. Honestly, the way they would avoid eye contact and personal response made me feel like some kind of bag lady on a subway car. Nowhere else in my happy little universe have I ever been so consistently treated with contempt. And it's not like I was rude or offensive- I literally only ever ordered via the app, came to the pickup area and politely waited (sometimes for MANY minutes) to be acknowledged or even to get someone to make eye contact with me. I have complained to corporate- they apologize and give free drinks. I feel very fortunate that I can afford to buy all the coffee I want and would much rather pay for it with even the level of kindness and professionalism show at the nearby Gas station than suffer the indignity of these employees ever again for multiple free coffees. read more

I just left this Starbucks which I go to frequently. I usually have a great experience but this day was different. I was on my way to an appointment with H & R Block and stopped here to get a drink. I ordered it hot. When I got to the window it was on ice so they offered to make me what I ordered. When they handed me my hot drink I was in the process of transporting it into the car when the lid popped off and the hot drink went all over including the steering wheel, door, window and more importantly all down the front of me. Needless to say I had to cancel my appointment and returned home. I have a burn mark on my stomach so I thought I should report it to Starbucks. When I called and told the lady on the other end of the phone she offered to make me another drink. I've had better service and I've had better treatment. I went here to get a rare treat after a long day and ordered what I usually like to get, a tall double chocolate chip frappe with soy milk (please note this drink doesn't have coffee in it). I was charged two dollars for soy milk. The most I've ever been charged before is 70 cents. Two dollars can buy me a gallon of soy milk and I can mix 15 frappes on my own for so much cheaper. The drink in total was 5 dollars, which traditionally I've only ever had to pay 3 for it. When I brought this up to the barista I simply got a shrug and "That's just how it is. Sorry." It's not her fault, but seriously, whoever at this store thought it would be okay to start charging that much for a small bit of soy milk will lose a huge amount of customers with restricted diets. Vegans? Gone. Lactose intolerant? Forget it. Soy milk is no longer a niche market and you shouldn't over charge when you do cows milk for bloody free. It's discrimination and quite rude towards a customer base. To top it all off, after waiting a long time in the drive through, the drink wasn't made all that well. :/ Suffice to say, I will not be returning and to any other people who have particular dietary needs that make it to where you cannot consume moo juice (cows milk), I would suggest you go elsewhere to get your drinks. read more

They are so friendly and get to know your name, and bend over backwards to make sure you start your day off right. I think it's amazing that as many people as they serve in a day they know my name and drink order. Some days they even draw pictures or write on my cup.
