Had been mailed a coupon for their newest location in Gilbert so it was a must try! Scooters originated in Omaha Nebraska in the 90's and has expanded to over 800 locations throughout the US. They are a franchise that has been successful in their kiosk style store fronts with a drive thru and outside counter services. Coffee is 100 % Arabica beans which is a blended roast of rich, high-quality java cultivated in both Central America & Africa. Drinks on their menu can be chosen hot, iced or blended. Many blenders, smoothies, teas and energy drinks selections as well. Their menu has much to offer. Including some food options, seasonal & limited time deals also. Caramelicious is their specialty drink and most popular especially for their first timers. It's a rich and velvety blend that is sure to be a memorable one. My husband had that and really enjoyed it. I had their maple bourbon iced latte with maple whipped cold foam and it was delicious. Only slight downside, the coupons were only good for a cold drink, not an option for a hot beverage. We were able to use a dollar off for the ones we purchased, but would have preferred the choice for either hot or cold. And they were out of the seasonal blend I originally wanted to try. You can download their app. and save $2 on your next purchase, but again it excludes hot drinks. We were in the area for a birthday party, and wanted some caffeine for our drive back to Mesa. We arrive here at around 5:30pm to be told they don't have any iced coffee. They're brewing machine is down. For a coffee spot, I think that's crazy and maybe should have a sign to say there's no brewed coffee available. I opted for a matcha latte, my spouse and lemonade. The taste was decent, but both of our cups were packed with ice. Two 16 oz cups packed with ice cubes and drinks drizzled in was $9.00. I wouldn't mind trying this place again but I can suspect the brewing machine would be down often in the later part of the afternoons. We had a multitude of drinks from their Cinnamon Toast Crunch Iced Latte, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cold Brew, and the Peanut Butter Crunch Blender. All light in flavor, all light in caffeine. My friend did say that they enjoyed the Peanut Butter Crunch Blender, so perhaps just pass on their latte and cold brew. I'm a sucker for new coffee shops! I was excited to try this place out - never been to another location before. Location: The location is right next to Filabertos and Lowe's right off the street, across the street from Gilbert Regional Park - so it's easy to find. Ambiance: This is a drive thru only. There are some seats outside but nothing inside. There are two lanes for the drive thru that merge into one. Everything is new and fresh. Drinks & Food: I didn't try any of the food except for the little kids cookie but it does look like they have some breakfast menu items. For my 9 year old, I ordered the kids size strawberry smoothie and the "snack combo" which included two little cookies and a sticker. Super cute. I'm a religious fan of The Coffee Shop's Turtle Monsoon. It's embarrassing how many times I've ordered that drink lol BUT alas I have another fav! Their "Turtle Latte Blended" is comparable to my other favorite so I'm looking forward to rotating between the two establishments lol Service: They are still new so I wasn't expecting much as they work out the kinks but I was pleasantly surprised. I was just there on Thanksgiving morning and come to find out, the owners (who are locals) gave the staff off and brought their whole family down to work! I love that!! The food is REALLY good. And the coffee is great. I'm not an energy drink person, but I tried theirs and it was delicious. Scooters is GREAT- I used to live nearby and it was always the best morning treat. I still go when I'm in the area. The coffee is consistently good and rarely tastes burnt, which I feel the neighboring Starbucks has started to taste like they're always burning their beans. The staff has always been friendly, and there's no pressure to tip, which is rare nowadays. The iced turtle latte is my favorite, but all flavors and muffins that I've tried have been delicious. The price point is about average. I even got Scooters delivered the morning of my wedding while we were all getting ready, and it was definitely well-liked. Although their model is quick and efficient coffee to go, the only thing that could make this place better is an indoor area to work. When i clarified that I was requesting to order a nitro cold brew, she sarcastically repeated my order with a sarcastic emphasis on the word "nitro." There are many places to purchase coffee without dealing with staff being obnoxious. It was my first time and last time coming here.
