There's a reason so many of the chains, and some smaller businesses, have gone to "Welcome in" and "what are you up to today." I appreciate what they're trying to do - they want to offer a friendly experience; but it actually bugs me, because it comes across as disingenuous. However, all you have to do is say "Hi - what can I get you" or something like that and make it sound like you mean it. I guess what I'm saying is, act like you like your job. The place was busy, with a line of people all confidently ordering like they had discovered gold. The girl who took my order was warm, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The coffee was delicious, the brisket taco absolutely hit the spot, and yes... I even bought one of their mugs, because apparently I now make emotional purchases over good coffee. I also took a stroll through the farmers market behind the coffee shop, which made the whole morning even better. I'll definitely be back... and, at this rate, probably leaving with another mug too
