The food was delicious and came out quickly. The entire staff was attentive, professional, and very friendly throughout our visit. A special shoutout to Mercy and Azera, who worked the register, delivered our food to the table, and even helped clear our trash. They provided excellent customer service and made us feel very welcome. I'd also like to recognize CJ in the kitchen. He greeted everyone who walked through the door with a smile and a positive attitude. He was incredibly friendly and is a great example of outstanding customer service. Amazing employee! Overall, it was an excellent experience from start to finish, and we'll definitely be back!

Honestly, living in AZ I'm disappointed. I waited for them to open so I could eat here. The last time I ate here it was take out. The gyro meat had small pieces of bone. This time we eat in restaurant to try again. Seems a bit unorganized. This time we ordered a plate and also got the kids meal for dining in. All the pita bread was hard. The kids meal looked as though the chicken was broke up in pieces and just thrown in there with the fries. The food when made right is really good! One of my fav sauces is the shug. My all time favorite is to get the Santorini bowl with gyro meat. I'm just disappointed. I have a Mediterranean spot that serves the best food. I was just hoping the AZ location would fare as good as the California locations. Ugh...

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.

It is a little pricey, however, it's worth the cost. As I mentioned, everything is healthy and made fresh. You can't get that without paying a bit extra Their bread is so good, the chutney is awesome, their little side salads are so tasty. I haven't tried anything here that I have not loved. They are a small husband and wife run business, which is always great to see. They are very friendly people who clearly love what they do. There's limited seating indoors, as it's inside Barnone, but you can easily find places to sit outdoors as well.

We kicked things off with my all-time favorite--the cilantro jalapeño hummus with gluten-free pita. Yum!! I love that they warm the GF pita so it actually feels like the "real" deal...such a small touch that makes a big difference! For my meal, I stuck with my go-to: the chicken shawarma bowl. It never disappoints--gluten-free, super fresh, and packed with bold, delicious flavor in every bite. Our server was incredibly helpful and lightning fast, which made the whole experience even better. Safe to say... I'll happily be back next Thursday!

I got the Bánh mì which was lacking carrot, daikon and cilantro. Basically a chicken sandwich and I had to ask for extra carrot daikon and cilantro. The quantity on the sandwich that came out was a joke. Jaden our server was very kind, patient and had excellent customer service skills. She was the only thing about this experience that was good. The chai tea was more like milk with sweetener, not real chai. The hummus and pita were good. They were extremely understaffed today and whoever was running things is not doing quality checks on the food. The rice pudding my friend got to go was so watery she just sent it back and got a refund immediately. Ambiance is not as nice as the one in Tempe. Seemed crowded and layout is not very cozy.

The teriyaki chicken tasted more like an Asian dish than a Hawaiian dish. But the chicken and rice were good and the teriyaki sauce was good too. My gripe is about two things: 1. Asking for extra sauce 2. Odd service When I received my order, I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and the lady looked and responded to me a bit rudely. Almost felt like me asking for 1 extra teriyaki sauce packet was going to bankrupt their business lol. That's weird and honestly puts a weird vibe on the experience here. The odd service comes from them packing up my order "to go". I never asked for it to go. They never asked me if I was taking it to go. They just packed it up to go. So I began wondering why and then started noticing things. I started watching other customers come in and order. Well, just like it seems like every food spot asks for a "tip" nowadays, I noticed that the customers who chose to tip them (for who knows why ‍) received their orders on a plate to eat in the restaurant. I noticed two other customers who chose "no tip" received their orders in "to go" bags. When I payed for my order, I also chose not to pay a tip because there's simply no reason to pay a tip for pick up places like this. And I also received a "to go" bag. Maybe this is all in my head or just coincidence, but it would be weird to see this happening to everyone who chooses to tip or not to tip, during the 15-20min eating time I had there. So due to these weird things, that's why I chose 3/5 stars. I've never seen another business question a customer asking for more sauce not ever seen them take customers not tipping and personal vendetta's. ‍

First off, the concept is elite--you build your own bowl like a culinary mastermind. Want noodles? Done. Extra meat? Obviously. Way too many sauces because you got overconfident? No judgment here (we've all been there). Then they take your chaotic masterpiece and toss it on a giant sizzling grill like it's dinner and a live performance. The cooks? Absolute legends. Watching them work that grill is like witnessing a mix between a chef and a DJ--flipping, chopping, spinning your food like it's a hit track. And somehow, no matter how questionable your sauce combinations were, it comes out tasting incredible. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the vibe is always fun and laid-back. It's the kind of place where you accidentally eat way too much and then immediately start planning your next visit. YC's isn't just food--it's an experience. A delicious, slightly overstuffed, "why did I add that last scoop?" kind of experience. 10/10, would build a ridiculous bowl again.
